Shinzu had just left the Hidden Village of Cloud and began his journey toward the Land of Tea. His attire remained partly the same as usual with the exception of a large indigo scarf which coiled itself around him, reaching from his neck to just under his nose. This was mainly to accommodate for the intense winds he would likely have to face in his home land, the Land of Thunder. He soon realized however that after years of seeing such winds from the safety of his own home, actually experiencing them face to face was a completely different story.
After an hour of trying to push through a barrage of leaves and soil, the thought of why he’s putting up with all this did manage to cross Shinzu's mind once or twice. The reason being for those of you who have forgotten was due to a letter, an invitation to some kind of competition which was going to be held in the Land of Tea. Of course at first when Shinzu received the letter he was reluctant to go, however the idea of traveling from country to country just seemed like such an great break from his training, although the generous reward may have had something to do with it as well.
As the weather mercifully cleared up, Shinzu began to pick up his pace as he attempted to make up for lost time as he neared the first country he would have to pass by, the Land of Claw. Despite this already being the furthest away from home, the feel of an adventure kept his spirit high. The only things Shinzu knew about the land of claw was that it was a warm nation with many forests. He had also read that it was famous for its hot springs which was something he looked forward to after being drenched in a sudden rainfall.
