The quaint little cafe off to the western district of the Wave Capital is actually a bustling business. It is famous for its great tasting food and drink, as well as for its amazing staff. The poster-lined walls and columns surround several little tables, at which a variety of people can be found. A smiling waiter or waitress walks around the cafe, and a bartender is always present. A simply cheerful vibe radiates around the cafe, and there trained professionals to ensure it stays that way. Stepping up to the shining counter, one will see a plethora of different drinks. A menu can also be taken from the counter as well.

Once seated, either at the bar or at a table, one can place their orders. All foods cost 20 Ryo, and Sake can be bought here as well for a regular price. Off to the back of the Cafe, there is also a small stage with a karaoke machine upon it. It is encouraged that the patrons in the cafe take part in a karaoke contest now and again, and the contestants could certainly earn a few Ryo themselves from a donations box placed at the base of the stage. Tip jars are found on every table, oddly enough, so that people can deposit their loose change here as well. The staff is always welcome to help and provide any information they need to their loyal customers.

Giou would walk into the cafe which smelled like very other cafe he had been too. He needed to rest these next two days. He had been working too hard and this would not help f he continued to push himself before the exams started. He sat at the table which began to get attention by a waitress which was pretty cute but Giou had no time to notice. He would order some ramen and quickly wait. Waiting for something interesting to happen.

Noxious odors emanated from every building in this town. Labels and signs advertising everything from bars to brothels, all of which smelled absolutely foul, assaulted Toru's senses as he stalked down the bustling street. Despite the large amount of worthless people scurrying about on their daily business, none of whom mattered as much as the tar stains they walked on, his progress was unhindered by their presence. The appearance granted to him by his bloodline meant that the worthless many avoided standing in his way, fearful of what the brilliant few such as he were capable of.

His eyes caught sight of one of the other exam participants disappearing into a cafe, a cafe which exuded a particularly offensive odor, which prompted Toru himself to enter as well. Was he interested in a social engagement with the boy? Perhaps, but that was not the goal of entering the same establishment as he. Toru understood the necessity of knowing one's enemy, and was thus making a point of examining one of them. His plan was mainly to watch the man from a discreet corner and discern his mannerisms, but be social and friendly should he be confronted.

Why this man in particular? No particular reason, he was merely the first one present at the exam registration that Toru had observed since leaving, which meant that he was a good place to start. Toru entered and grimaced as the stench became more powerful on the inside, then went and took a seat at the bar on the other end of the building. Upon entering, he waved off the attempts of at least three overly enthusiastic waitresses to convince him to buy something. To appease them, as well as to make his presence less suspicious, he ordered a tonic and lime from the bar and sipped it thoughtfully.

His target ordered something, too far away for him to tell what it was, and seemed to look around the room as if waiting for something. Whatever he was waiting for, Toru was bound to find out eventually.

Giou would quickly sip his ramen and quickly eat his noodles. He would find that there was a man sitting at the table very near him. The man seemed fairly powerful but nothing that compared to Gious power but he could use it towards his advantage. He would pick himself up and walk to the door not before stopping infront of the man and saying "Listen. I know we both want to win this so here is my offer. I help you and you and your mist friends help me." Giou would say this slowly and softly so that only the ninja could hear. "I know that you know that you guys will need someone like me backing you up. I myself need some kind of support. If you agree to these terms give a small hand gesture by putting up two fingers. If not place 5. Make no mistake of double crossing me". With this Giou would leave the cafe.

Well, that was certainly unexpected. He had expected to observe this man like an enemy and discern his weaknesses from his mannerisms, and now found himself in a most advantageous position. He kept his head facing forward and acted as if he wasn't listening, so as to appear to anyone watching that the two nin from different villages were interacting, and silently considered his statement. Judging by his statement about mist ninja needing someone like him to back them up, he could assume that this man thought himself very powerful.

At the same time, Toru could infer that he didn't have a team, and was likely the only sand shinobi present at the exam, from his statement about needing some kind of support. A win-win situation by all counts; the group from Mist, and by extension Toru himself, would have a powerful foreign ally, and all Toru had to do was assist the powerful foreign ally in passing the exams alongside them. Besides all of that, their temporary alliance now could lead to any number of equally advantageous situations along the road.

As per now, Toru smiled and finished his bitter drink and leave as well.
