Exams 1: The Auditorium

Oh god! I was getting a head ache. I had failed Kiyoshi and denied him of the title on his last exam and now he was pulling stunts like this. He didn't realize what I did... we were not at home. My identity was not known here and I had no power over this like I would at home. I couldn't command him to stop I would be far to close to giving away my identity. His act of heroism was strong, I appreciated it but would he get himself killed in the process? I bit my lip, my foot tapping rapidly as I fought to keep myself steady. The cigarette burned lower as my attention diverged. What was I going to do? The female I had turned to before had seemingly gone to sleep. I looked back to the male {Kaeor} who had asked my name. I looked at him for a long moment, my nerves still humming. I could have stopped Kiyoshi if I wanted to but I was not here to make decisions for him. Instead I simply thought silently to whatever gods were listening. 'Please keep him safe.'

Sally: Arghhh! I can't stand this anymore! All six of my legs are worn out! How about we stop following these stinking humans and go collect some sweets?

Wendy: No can do! Master Woody would be disappointed if no significant information is gathered for him so I say we continue on with this mission. The sweets can wait as Master Woody would definitely reward us dearly!

Sally: Master this! Master that! Screw the damn Woody! He just picked us up from some random streets or bushes and gave us shelter plus food, that's all! And now we are like slaves working our abdomen(butt) off! Life is unfair for tiny creatures like us! And to make things worse, we got to struggle to keep up with the guards even though we have more legs than them just because of the word 'small'.

Wendy: Stop whining and start crawling! All thirty of us in this group got the same head, same thorax, same abdomen as you so all of our body parts are the same so no more complaining, though I have to admit I am the best looking one. Master Woody must have fallen for my beauty as he made me the leader of this group. So as captain I say keep working on their tails!


The soldiers finally came to a halt when they spotted the group of 22 lazy beast that seem to be unfamiliar to the insects. Keeping to the side of the wall to avoid detection was not in favor to the group of ants as the canines were in the way.


Sally: Oh! Look! The dog species are up ahead! Though they may be blocking our way but why not ask for some assistance? Those friendly creatures could be a help to us. How about leeching on to their fur to get a free ride in order to rest all six of my legs? I'm sure those puppies won't mind just like the ones back in our hometown. After all, we are as light as a feather, that's one thing good about being small I guess.

Dexter: No! The smartest ant in the world forbids that! According to my knowledgeable brain those are not dogs, those are wolves, scary creatures that would rip you off with one swipe! You won't want to take a ride in anyone of them.

Sally: Oh really? Then we must be in deep trouble! Look! The dogs, no the wolves at the front are picking up something. They must have noticed our presence! Oh we are gonna die!

Wendy: Get a hold of yourself Sally! There must be something we can do! I don't want to die in this awful place. And what's more Master Woody is counting on us! We got to find a way out of this!

Sally: You are still on about that damn Woody again? It's our lives at stake here not his! We should retreat before we get turn into marshmallows! They look really scary now after a second look and may come at us at any moment! Hey Nerd! Oh I mean Dexter! Being the only male in this group you should go be a decoy or something while the rest of us run for it. Now your big brains could be of use. How that's for a genius plan?

Dexter: It's not my fault I'm the only male here seeing that the insect world is dominated by females. Sending me to my deaths would be such a waste as I, the smartest ant in the world would be mourn for as my talents would be wasted. How about you go since the females should be stronger. Plus your whining could somehow put the wolves to sleep!

Sally: Arghhh! Why you little...

Wendy: Knock it off! Stop being sexist you two! We are on a crisis here and I don't have time for your little games! Imagine how worried Master Woody would be now... Oh how I wish a miracle would happen like a knight in shining armor would appear out of nowhere and save us from these beasts, that could be my Master Woody... Oh and a kiss at the end would be nice too...

Sally and Dexter: You are dreaming...


A bark was heard as all the attention was turn to a dog.


Wendy: Oh is that my knight in shining armor?

Sally: That's a dog, Madam.

Dexter: Ah ha! The smartest ant in the world have devised a genius plan for the soldiers! We should sneak further in while the dog is being chased by the wolves!

Sally: That's a rather simple plan.

Dexter: It's too complex for you to see the genius in it.

Sally: Did you learn that from that idiot Woody who had always proclaimed himself as a genius too?

Dexter: Guess so, must have inherited it.

Wendy: When's my knight in shining armor coming?


The group of ants would then proceed forward only if the dog managed to grab the attention of the wolves.


Meanwhile in the examination room...


Woody: I wonder if my ants are dead yet...

Giou watches as the terror continues to keep going as the questions continued. Where was his question? He did not want to answer it. He just want an excuse to hurt the guy that tried to answer his question. He just needed a way to continue with the exams as much as he can. He sat beside the man he has early met before[Takeda]. Without moving his head he would say " Do you agree?" he would talk about the matter they had discussed

Daydreaming; that was what the youth was doing as he stood static. As his focus returned to the task at hand, he would hear the ivory kunoichi's question to him. His own violet optics would beam down to meet with her own as his manner would be cordial. "Kaeor Arumashi. Pleasure to meet you Kana." he stated with a short grin. His fingers would rummage through his inner vest to extract a wooden toothpick as he gingerly placed it in his lips. He would have seen a myriad of things happen as every shinobi pursued their own goal and approached the task from different manners. Currently Kaeor was contemplating on how he would set his own partner free from his bonds. He still hadn't heard his question asked as he only remained in place watching the actions of others and silently seeking an opening.

That was all I saw, the events passing by giving me no real importance as I dare not look at the coffin with my own eyes. I kept my mouth shut, my mind distracted away from the torture as I floated in an unknown limbo. Trapped, unable to get out; I moved within the shadows, my halo creating a path of light for me to find my way. Dazed, my memories all but in a mixed up puzzle, I tried to solve it as I continued on.

Questions; one by one they came and went, some people trying to answer, some keeping their mouths shut. I gave no obviously judgment for them, nor did I have any for them. What they did, they did on their own actions, their own views on the world. Everyone has different views and they will try to get a group of people to support them but in the end, who are we to say that we are right? I opened my eyes, scanning around, I noticed the microphone broken, and waited patiently for the events to continue on.

Will this ever end?!

Did he agree? Of course he agreed. He'd be a fool not to. There he was, in a time when everyone was biting and clawing to be at the top of the pile when the gas came on, being offered the only ladder. The cost was little more than a helping hand here and there, and the reward was a one-way ticket straight to the top. Did he agree? Hell yeah, he did.

His hand escaped from his flytrap and landed on the desk. Two of his fingers twitched rhythmically; the beat to a song only he could hear. The sign was clear enough. Rather, the sign should have been clear enough. If the man remembered his own hand signals, he would get Toru's meaning. Clearly, it seemed, he didn't want it made public that they were speaking. Thus, the silent hand motion. No reply. No outward acknowledgment of existence. Just the gently audible rapping of flesh on whatever the desks were made of.

Giou saw the signal if agreement from the boys finger which made him smile a very wicked smile. As he would get up he looked around as the question was asked. What had  the people decided on doing? He turned to the cloud girl who seemed very anxious at the moment. Then I saw that there was another ninja beside her. A leaf ninja. Did he have any relation with the ninja that was taken? Too many question that are left in answered and too many have been asked. He would get up from his spot and began pacing the room. What wad too happen next?

(Since BBF left, I am gonna speed things by a lot. Asking three questions in one post, and automatically skipping BBF, however will be asking those there too. Then one more and onto the next and most likely last part of the exams that will help with other roleplaying abilities to where all the examiners will particapate and not just me)

(Saw BBF was staying for the exams, will still get through it quickly however. Excited about the second part where everyone will participate. Also sorry, there's reason why I am doing certain things. Also after this post an examiner will post in a couple of days.)


The people within the room were getting restless. It would seem that the people within the room were starting to react to the torture. Perhaps it would have been best to actually bound the people, Alexander thought to himself for a brief moment while observing the room. Hearing the man named Solus requesting for an actual microphone the boy nodded as he headed towards the door again.

"Sir," the guard at the door stopped Alexander. "People are reacting," he uttered quietly as the one named Kiyoushi would begin his descend to the door. "I saw hands moving like they shouldn't be," he uttered giving a nod towards the general direction of Kiyoushi. The boy would turn to Kiyoushi. Not the real one, but the one who would begin to gather the attention of the guards. Perhaps it is time to try and scare a few people, the boy would think to himself, deciding it was time to use other forms of persuasion within the restless crowd.

The boy would look towards Jiro as he closed his eyes for a brief moment. "You may speak to him through me if you wish," he uttered calmly slowly opening his eyes. As he opened his eyes his eyes began to appear in a bright red color along his iris. As he stared at them they would see another form of emotion within his eyes. Agitation. "However I will have to ask everyone to sit down first before we proceed," he uttered before cocking his head turning towards Kiyoushi, not the clone, but the real one. "You first."

The boy would reach up to his intercom link within his ear with his left hand before speaking out loud while still staring into the crowd waiting to see their reactions, waiting to see if anyone would actually sit down. "Danel, we have a situation. The microphone is broken, and the only way they can get answers is through me. Also, you need to rush."

"Rush? Rush?!" Danel would answer from down below swaying his hands around gently tapping on Akira's cheek softly. "You can't rush art you know." he said with a sigh slowly moving away from the man. "Eh" he finished clenching his fists within his poncho.
"Alright anyone may answer through me, however I will ask that all please take a seat." he said calmly waiting to see if anyone had complied in any way.

Danel walked to the young woman and he just stared at her with a calm look, somewhat sizing her up, looking for weak points around her. He chuckled some and gave a little nod with a sigh. "I will ask riddles three to speed the process up." he stopped for a brief moment before looking towards the window for them to see. "Then I will ask your friend, riddles of three," he uttered before turning towards Yōdamaru.

"If you had only one match and entered a COLD and DARK room, where there was an oil heater, an oil lamp and a candle, which would you light first?" he then asked turning to the young woman reaching into his poncho. "A man builds a house with four sides of rectangular construction, each side having a southern exposure. A big bear comes along. What color is the bear?" he continued asking a second question while slowly pulling out a large looking machete slowly raising it over his head. "If you drove a bus with 43 people on board from Chicago and stopped at Pittsburgh to pick up 7 more people and drop off 5 passengers and at Cleveland to drop off 8 passengers and pick up 4 more and eventually arrive at Philadelphia 20 hours later, What's the name of the driver?" he asked once more looking up to the window yet again. "If one answers, I will spare this woman complete agony." he uttered finishing waiting for their reply.

On the other side of the room, where the wolves laid, near the ants, and the ferret. Their ears twitched still smelling the ground. As the ferret would become visible the wolves would look up towards the ferret. One or two began to growl at it. The two first wolves would slowly stand beginning to tread towards the ferret as the others stood in place while the wolves were communicating among each other. A few nods here and there as they stood ready. As the ferret would scamper off, the two wolves would begin it's following. In a blink one of the wolves would rush with great speed before shimmering, moving in a split second without taking any movements as it would rush in front of ferret. Obviously a move that normal humans were able to do, a move known as Shunshin. The wolf would rush trying to get in front of the ferret in order to cut the creature off in order to give it a quick scare.

Seriously when were these retards gonna ask me my question It was strange for Giou to be talking like this seeing as how he always seemed to be a normal and caring guy. He was somewhat getting angrier by the minute but Giou did not care because right now all he cared about was getting through the damned test that had exceeded it’s limit and time frame that Giou could no longer stand but had to put up with. I wonder when they will allow me to bash someone..... hmmm...

When will this end? By it divine will or simply pure luck, neither Aizen's nor my question had been asked yet. And from the examiner's response regarding rushing art, I had a feeling that this would all soon be over. I smiled to myself as I leaned back, my eyes still continuing to survey the rest of the examinees. Three questions. That meant 6 people, or more, would soon go into a psychological battle. That woman's death throes made it all the more frantic for them. Still, I wondered what the other people were doing. Not every one of them had been obediently taking all of this, at least the ones who thought they were the bringers of justice. Regardless, I doubted that any of them would be able to actually do something. Whether it was scouting out this secretive building or carrying out a covert rescue operation, I had to give them credit to committing to their ideals.

It seems that the Cloud nin's move had been seen through. Somehow this guy could see chakra or heat, or he just had great eyes. Unless this boy was talking to the air off course, but he didn't seem to be mentally retarded, meaning he could see the invisible Cloud nin. "How sad it is when such a noble plan is foiled." Solus would say, noticing that he was already seated.

A machete? How old fashioned... Solus would yawn, loud and obvious, though he still kept his hand in front of his mouth out of common decency. "A machete? Doesn't he have something more interesting? I suggest using boiling water." Solus would speak, only paying half attention to the questions stated, even if his would be asked he wouldn't want to go through the trouble of leaving this room. Far to much exertion.

"You may speak to him through me if you wish," I, the real me, would wait by the door as the clone drew attention; the guards and people began to look and talk as Kiyo- err... my clone... made it's run towards the door. "However I will have to ask everyone to sit down first before we proceed," I wouldn't be listening to anything said until the boy looked at me, the real me, and spoke. "You first." Eh, wut? Did he see through my Genjutsu? At first I didn't believe it, only upon seeing the boy's glowing red eyes did I know he could actually see me.

I'd turn visible and release my clone from service. "Uuuuuuhhhn" I'd moan loudly as my face drew long, how the hell was I supposed to save these people if I couldn't even utilize Genjutsu?!? "I didn't even get to the part where I saved the victims yet..." I'd mumble and stand up, my plan had been defeated by a single little boy and two glowing red eyes. Was it wrong that I wanted to pull those eyes out of their socket and squish them, even for just a moment?

Anyways, I was left defeated for the moment. I'd stand up straight and walk over to the chair next to Kana, she didn't look like she had a plan but if nothing else it would be nice to sit next to someone I knew while I thought about another plan of action. "Hello Kana, looks like my plan didn't work out too well..." I'd sit down in the chair and hang my head in shame, to be defeated so easily.

My mind reeled for another idea as my question was called, the last question to be read out of the three questions. Instantly my brain changed from plan to what I was going to do now. I doubted that the other person who also had my question would answer it, as most of the people who disagreed with this Chuunin Exams ethics had either attempted rash plans or would act earlier than this.

I took out the piece of paper that I'd been given with the question written upon it. It was so simple, all I'd have to do is answer 'The match' and the people below would be freed from harm in return for possibly endangering my village. I couldn't answer the question and yet couldn't simply allow these people to suffer; I had failed. I knew one thing though, my Master Ryuunosuke cared more for the Cloud Village than even himself and that I shared his love of my home; I had to remain quiet even at the cost of my, and those people's, pain. Tears quietly rolled down my face as I stuffed the paper back into my pocket. As hard as I tried I had never been able to protect anyone; Master Ryuunosuke, my first team leader Shingai, these people... nobody... I could only stifle my tears and wipe my face using my cloak, waiting for another idea to strike me.

Kaito, on the other hand, was also shit out of luck in terms of Kiyoshi's plan. Kiyoshi had forgotten all about the poor beast as it dealt with escaping the wolves. In all reality, Kiyoshi believed that Kaito was a Good aligned beast who simply loved to steal shiny objects; in reality though, Kaito was a selfish little thief who only stayed with Kiyoshi because he constantly managed to free Kaito from trouble and because Kiyoshi feeds Kaito every day. While Kiyoshi loved Kaito like a friend, Kaito only cared for Kiyoshi like he cared for his ability to feed Kaito and to free him from trouble.

Kaito was no fool to combat, the high speed movement of the wolf came to no real surprise. He would move nearly flawlessly as he ran, such grace would be a surprise to the wolf if it wasn't trained for combat all that much. The attack would come swiftly as the Ferret would speed up as fast as possible, charging on all fours until it met it's mark under the wolf's head. With this, a smashing headbutt would by delivered upwards into the wolf's jaw from below, Kaito would leap from his front paws first as his head would crack against the jawbone on a successful blow.

Following this, there would only be one thing left for the ferret to do: GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE! Kaito would land and move forward once more, attempting to clear the wolf's body before utilizing Shunshin to move quickly down the hallway. He hoped... no, prayed that the wolves where slower than him as he headed down the hall in the same way he'd come. He hadn't been paid enough to be bait for wolves.

Description: Training to heighten their senses in the heat of combat, the Senbon Taitoku user under goes training to become more prepared then ever. They slowly become aware of their surroundings on the battle field, to the point they become similar with it like their own back yard. With this natural sense of their surroundings the user can't be caught flat footed or be flanked. Which means if the user was walking down the road minding their business, and a ambush party burst out from the bushes. The user wouldn't be caught of guard and would most likely except it, and will sense someone was coming up from behind to attack and will act quickly and either attack first or get out the way. This works on whenever they are being attacked. This technique however has a major flaw. The user is capable of dodging only whenever the opponent's class is equal or lower to that of the rank of the technique they know. This means that a "D" Class user that knows this technique can not use this against an opponent that is "C" Class or higher.

My questions. Fate played a bitter hand the day I decided to become a Chuunin. It was a battle the other genin weren't facing. They protected their villages of course but I was a Kage. These people looked up to me, they looked to me to keep them safe. I had always sought to save every individual but I could not do that here. Given the situation the life of many was not worth the life of all. I bit my lip as I put out the cigarette. I could see this happening in real life but for the sake of an examination? This was wrong. This was so wrong.

I glanced around to see if anyone would move to answer. The leaf ninja had the same question as me but did anyone else? I would not let them fail me. My veins hummed as I fought the emotion flooding me. I had never minded the Chuunin Examinations. They were a good idea but if they continued with this horrible process I would consider withdrawing my village from the tests. It wasn't right to allow them to harm innocent people like this. I would be having a word with the commitee members soon enough.

I looked over to Kiyoshi as he spoke my name. "Kiyoshi you have to remember... things aren't the same here as they are at home." I murmured softly. It was a gentle but needed rebuke. I was so tired, emotionally I was strung out, my mind and my heart fought each other. What I wouldn't give to have Mukuro here. I needed his calm presence, his logical reasoning. I was not so foolish as to rely on him but it would've eased the pain. The pain of not being able to save them all. I had always worked to save those I knew and to punish those who broke laws. I lived in a world of black and white and this was my decision. I would have to live with it but it would ride on my heart for years to come. I would repent for my actions one day. I promised myself to stop at the shrine if I made it home. I would ask forgivness for making this decision.

The only thing the boy could do was pray that whatever celestial being existed would free this man from his oppressor. As his question was called out a mental war would wage in his mind. To free the man? Or to not free him? That was the question! There was little the man could do as he felt something inside of him call such treatment "unfair". But then again, there was nothing fair in a shinobi's life. People were generally forced to use the cards they were dealt with to the best of their abilities.

The girl to his left seemed like she had no intention to go speak as he thought to what she was going to do. But after several minutes the genin could see they were on the same page as he merely mimicked her silent actions.

Ah, so it seems that the examiners have come to their senses and realize that time is short indeed. Things were going to go rather quickly as actions were promoted but the majority, it seems, have failed their intended purpose. I laid my head back, as I saw the eyes of the small boy, but I dare not active my eyes for I needed to preserve my chakra. But later, if I survived, perhaps I could investigate for my own purposes? It didn't matter now, for the goal was to keep Ryuusei"s and my question safe should any try to answer it.

The three questions were asked, and none were of my own nor were they of Ryuusei's. Keeping my figure still, quiet, and unmoving, I waited patiently for the actions that was destined to happen.

Raiel kept in mind everything that was being said. And as she listened to the questions being asked, she couldn't help but wonder if she could answer other people's questions. Some of these were of a simple nature, something that didn't require you to have the answer on your paper to answer it. As such, could she answer another's question and hopefully get them sent out? On top of that... Did this mean that they were eliminated or they were merely allowed to leave the room, no longer needing to see the torture going on? There was a lot of information being withheld from them and Raiel didn't like it. When she didn't know what was going on, she felt vulnerable.

She was curious on what kind of answer she would be given if she asked. But without asking it, she would never know. She looked to the man with the coffin and spoke to him directly. "Tell me... You guys are being very discreet about some of the information you are giving to us. One question you might be able to answer, and the other, I doubt you will, but I might as well ask. Are we allowed to answer another's question? Obviously these questions aren't hard and could be answered by anyone. But can we answer them if not our own? And as for the second... It was simply said that we would be asked to leave if our question was answered. If that is the case, does that mean disqualification or simply leaving the room? Like I said... The first question might be answered and the second probably won't be, but I might as well ask."

The withholding of information annoyed her to no end, but it was something she knew had to be done. She just hoped she would get some form of answer rather then nothing at all...

And he sat there healing himself. There wasn’t much he really could do as he sat there and waited. How interesting this really was…. On a scale of 1 to 10 it was a negative 8. However he wondered what it was like in the other room. It must be so difficult of a decision whether or not to save innocent people. I mean after all they are just innocent lives why not just not save them. It makes perfect sense to not protect people that have no reason to be tortured. Why don’t we just sit back and watch instead of doing something to actually help them. However this was all just in his own thoughts. He couldn’t project his own thoughts onto the idiots in the other room. They wouldn’t listen and then again he was the only one willing to save. Not even twenty five can save you now apparently. The golden rule treat others as you would want to be treated. He had tried to save while others had just sat back. How boring it was in this room as he healed himself he wondered if anything interesting would happen or if people would just continue to sit around like lazy sacks of boring and just wait and watch for something new to happen. Nothing new would happen how can you make something new when there is nothing happening in the old. Then again all he could do is wait and wait since he was so slow at healing apparently. Yawn.

A grin of malice spread across the face of the torturer, Danel. Such a cruel fate those Shinobi bestowed upon the man who had given his freedom and most likely his life in order to save someone. A whisper meant for the Konoha Shinobi's ears only would drift from his mouth. "It seems your comrades have abandoned you to death for their own selfish gain, such a pity." With the seeds of doubt sown several quick slashes were made to open up the man's shirt without so much as nicking his flesh. It was too late for the tiny animal to save itself, the moment it committed itself to the attack, its death had been sealed. Powerful jaws would clamp down upon the rodent splintering the small bones and fangs would penetrated flesh and fur. Yes, these wolves were bred to fight and take life and the little thieving animal hadn't stood a chance against them. The success of the blow was assured with the animal so committed to it's own, and the corpse was going to be carried back to the rest and feasted upon.

However, on the off chance the ferret had found some miraculous way to avoid it the second wolf have used its own Shunshin to cut off the little snack. Prepared to bite and chew until the little animal was dead.
