Name: Tomb of the golden king
Rank: C
Plot:
I met a traveller from an antique land[/i]
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".
~ Percy Bysshe Shelley
The archaeologist emptied another drink, his wiggly hand reaching for the can of wine, barely pouring the red fluid in his cup. "Go on then, what happened next?" one of the people around his table asked. The archaeologist turned his head, wobbling it a bit under the influence of the crimson ambrosia. "What *hic* happened next? Nothing *hic* happened next! I ran, I ran as fast as I could." He raised his drink to his mouth, almost emptying the entire cup in one big swig.
With a large bang the ceramic would hit the table, only the sturdiness of the cup (especially designed for heavy drinkers) would prevent it from breaking as the bearded man would continue his story. I made it out *hic* safely, other then to say for my wonderful assistants *burp*, HAIL!" He would roar, raising the cup to the heavens before taking a toast on his fallen comrades. The helpful innkeeper would immediately refill his cup.
"Even those mercenaries we took *hic* with us were powerless. Great manipulator of sands, he couldn't move a single grain after he set foot in that devilish pyramid *burp*. Ninja techniques my ass." The man would wipe his mouth with his sleeve, though his beard did a much better job of preventing the maroon fluid from trickling down. "Great treasure, pfah! I wouldn't even go back into that spawn of *hic* hell if I was forced on the edge of a blade. Great treasures and a pure golden mask, that thing *hic* is scarier than twenty women in a single room! You can't move a foot or another trap will go off."
Outside the building a nightly sand storm raged, as all the listeners would gather closer around the archaeologist when the innkeeper asked the crucial question. "Where is this so called pyramid of yours?" The archaeologist laughed, his intoxicated brain not alerting him to the fact that he was about to reveal crucial information. "Three days north of here by *hic* foot, it's a huge pyramid, can't miss it."
As per the rules of the rough Kaze no kuni desert the archaeologist would find himself later in his bed, his clothes and money gone, along with most of the guests... The tale of the mysterious pyramid spread, and the rumour of the treasures it might hold within. Treasure hunters and adventurers gather to infiltrate the pyramid and seek it's treasures, but, will you be one of them?
