Trying to Find a Balance (P)

Idle and quiet. My frame alone traversed the never ending sands of this thought conjuring beach. Bare feet carried me through the beautiful scene, legs only allowing a slow pace. Locks of red covered my sight as my head hung, a million thoughts. All rebounding off the inner walls of my skull as I sadly contemplated my life as a whole. Digits lightly touched, their connecting limbs would rest on the interior of my black kimono. Everything both physically and mentally came to a stop as the waves crashing hushed it all away.

I would succumb to it's call. Sinking into the depths of the sand as I now found myself laying peacefully on its soft bed. Warmth surrounded my entire frame as I lay losing myself in the sky. Eyes observing everything but nothing all at once. Clouds lazily drifted across my vision, my form maintaining it's motionless state. The area began to offer a cool breeze as the evening began to set in and the sun bid its farewells. Sinking half way beneath the earth before taking long pause. In this moment I would seal my eyes, losing track of everything as I took up the comfort of nature. Accepting it's kindness rather than pushing it away. Subliminal.

The beach was surely beautiful when the sun was setting, it was a sight that just made me feel as though everything in the world was on the same exact page for once. With all of the recent drama and changes within the village, sometimes it was just good to get away from it all and relax to yourself, or at least, in peace. My arms folded themselves over my chest as I began to slowly trek through the sand, glancing towards the sea as my pink straight hair blew with the wind.

The temperature was absolutely delightful to me, it wasn't too cold, nor too hot. The refreshing mist from the sea gave the air a sort of, moist, yet soothing feeling that almost everyone within the village would enjoy it. Though by being on an island, they would sort of have no choice. I didn't know where I was going, but I did know that my destination didn't really matter. I just wanted to..walk, I guess.

Looking further along the beach, I noticed a man laying on the sand. I wasn't sure if he was washed up, or just resting, but I figured there was no harm in finding out, right? Taking precaution, I slowly moved toward the figure and wondered just exactly what he was doing out here all alone, in the open. My body, as slender as it was, would lean over his own from above his head, and peer down at him. His eyes were closed, and he had red hair. My face remained hovering over his own, though of course I was still standing up, so I remained quite a distance away from him.

My eyebrows raised in question, as I wondered if he was okay. His body was just laying there, motionless, though he didn't appear to be drenched at all, so my theory about him just napping on the beach seemed to be the most reasonable. I didn't want to wake him, so I decided to just sit down parallel to him, though facing the opposite way. My head would be close to his face level to his right, and I would just lay down and begin to close my eyes too. The sounds of the waves crashing upon the beach was hypnotic, and was beginning to make me feel drowsy.
