Personality
Raised to be a kind and caring soul this Monk has never been one to favor combat. Yet realizes in a world like the one he lives in, it's almost innevitable to avoid such conflicts. So he found a path in the world that he could take, a path of a healer, one to save not to kill. He's against it, refuses to take the life of another human being and most animals. Those raised in captivity meant for food is something he has grown to understand, but those wild and free creatures should be kept that way. Allow the animal kingdom to handle their own issues. Aero loves life, he believes everyone should, it's something granted to them by a higher power, something that is unexplainable. Wondrous and joyous, a celebration till death. Though death is natural, he understands that when one has reached their time they will pass, no matter how skilled one is in the healing arts some must pass. You can't be a hero to all, it's a burden that even the strongest of hearts can't bear.
His mannerisms seem childish at times as he is a young teenage boy. He can't always restrain himself to act properly, often seen within his speech or constant curiousity. Though he is rather fond of talking, he does take time out of every day to meditate under the sun's rays. Rarely is it by the moon's light, for he is more of a day person then night. During his times of meditation he hates being bothered or disturbed, though he will tolerate it, his annoyance will be shown. As for a daily act of Aero, he's often looking for a game with some of the kids his age or a chance to talk with a pretty girl. He loves to flirt, though he normally gets nowhere with it, he still does it out of enjoyment. It's often seen as cute by the older girls, because he truly does put his heart into his words and actions. Something he can never hide is how he feels. He believes to confine ones own feelings and being expressionless or cold is to deny one's right to really live. If you were given such feelings why lock them up and deny them? Use them and cherish them a life he will always lead.
Though he may not be a fan of shinobi life, he's still a loyalist in a sense to his village and his people. He see's himself as a protector, a citizen soldier in a sense. Those whom live within the borders of Tsuchi no Kuni and the walls of Iwagakure whom are not warriors themselves deserve someone willing to help them. He's of kind nature, so being the hero is something he takes a natural sense to. Though he's not your up front fighter in the least bit, he's clearly there to aid those around him. He may not like to take ones life, or to live within strife or conflict, he can't deny a good spar or battle. Though even in the heat of battle, he will refuse to kill the opponent. He won't stop someone else from doing it normally, but he will not watch. It makes his heart ache when a life is lost. Some call him a idiotic idealist, others a revolutionist. Most, just call him a dreamer. This world is cold, through all of it's traditions, lives have been taken, Aero refuses to partake. Which is the main reason he became a brother of the Monks. They lead lives he can understand and agree with for the most part.
Love of the natural beauties in the world is bred deep within his mind and soul. Be this in art, music, theater, nature or people. This world is filled with natural untouched beauty, some may think of that as a good pick up line for a woman, yet Aero sees it as a way of life. Lakes and rivers in the country side mystify him. Animals and all their varieties also interest the young lad. Though when it comes to the arts such as music, acting, poetry, he loves it for within it an artists pours their heart and soul into each little stroke with a brush or pen. Strum or breath, each something special to themselves that can be understood by many but never fully comprehended without the experience in what the Artist came from. The idea of this is something that Aero simply can't get enough of, the idea of expressing oneself for everyone to see is something he lives by, so he envies those whom call themselves artists. He admires within the crowds or the trees, never truly being the one showing off the true talents.
Appearance
Still young in his appearance, it's a gift and a curse to the boy. For at the young ages it can be annoying to sometimes appear younger then you truly are, though when you grow old it's a gift in the sense that you don't age as poorly as others. Aero will forever live that, it was something his parents had gifted him with before they passed. Understanding this, when looking at the sixteen year old boy, one might guess he's fourteen to fifteen but never older then sixteen at a glance or even good look. It comes with the strong will of light within his rich blue eyes and the glimmer of his still innocent smile. His facial features other than that are rather rounded, his ears a bit larger then most something that would as a kid not bother him though now in his teenage years they embarress him. So he hides them as best he can. His eyes large, another sign of still being young, still wired with the youth within them. The only thing that doesn't seem young is his cleanly shaven head something he did when he became a Monk. He keeps it that way to honor his brothers. Also he's grown rather used to not having hair atop his head, something he can live without.
As for his over all body's appearance, the boy has a thin frame not a lot of meat on his bones. He never lived a rich life, or an easy one though it was never that difficult. He keeps well in shape through his practices of his styles along with his medical expertise. Muscles line his body, he's not overwhelmingly strong, enough to hold his own in hand to hand combat allowing him to use his graceful steps with it. Though he's ok with it, one doesn't need to be a body builder to live happily as a shinobi. It's often those that don't seem all that dangerous that turn out to have the deadliest of features. Though to hide his small frame he wears rather baggy clothing, though not enough to weigh him down. This allows him to mask some of his movements as well, which is something he'd happily take into. On his body their are no real scars or marks to distinguish him from another. The only real notable feature is his clothing and his bald head if seen without his hat. That and his regular mannerisms of course could give him away.
As for his clothing he wears quite a bit, not all to be trendy or useful. Just a style that he had developed on his own that he'd taken accustom to. A basic white t-shirt at the start, it's rarely ever seen though due to all the other clothing. Over that he wears a yellow hoodie, normally keeping the hood down haning on his back. The hoodie isn't extremely tight fitting yet it also ins't baggy. A moderator between the two so to speak. Over that he wears a brown jacket with no hood. Across the chest two black stripes pass over. The jacket is rarely ever closed unless it's raining or rather cold outside. Sometimes you can find him with the sleeves of the jacket slightly rolled up. As for below he wears a pair of basic black boxers underneath baggy brown shorts with yellow pin stripes that match the shades of his jacket and hoodie. They aren't too baggy though, they hang just around his knees a little bit below. Socks long in variety stretch over his feet and up his shins near his knees. Brown shoes with yellow strips rest upon his feet. Meant for traveling out in the woods or along the cliffs. As for accessories, he wears a black knit hat upon his head with a dark turquoise design on it. He wears this to hide the bald head slightly but mainly to hide the ears he was cursed with. He has a black belt with turquoise to match the hat he wears. Cloth bracelets normally brown or black are worn around his left wrist, some are a form of leather. In number he normally wears around four to six. As for his headband he tends to wear it around his forehead when not wearing the hat, other times it can be found situationed on his right bicep over the jacket. His shinobi pouch located on the back of his right hip.
History
Born in the city of Soseki was one of the kindest souls to ever grace this world. Though misfortune would lead him to starting off on his own. Teenage parents agreed that they weren't fit to raise a child by themselves and put Aero up for adoption after giving birth to him. Unfortunately at such a young age he would be a handful so there were no willing takers to the boy's life. An orphanage in Soseki offered to raise the boy free of charge and took him in. Several years would be spent here just growing and being a child, though he was taught at a young age that his parents had abandoned him. A caretaker told Aero of his parents, that they were young and didn't feel fit to raise him, he wouldn't understand at that young age, but as time would pass he would. Aero as a young child wasn't outstanding in any real way other then his kind heart. He was against violence and anger, he was always such a joyful child. The caretakers really enjoyed having him around the orphanage. Though the age of eight would soon come around and the boy had learned much of this world as he played on the streets of Soseki. They weren't always a safe place for people to walk, he didn't like this, he wanted to help the people whom couldn't protect themselves. A caretaker spoke of that job being the Shinobi of Iwa's to take care of.
It was on that day that Aero would leave the orphanage on his own free will. The caretakers were against it, but the boy cared not. He knew to become a shinobi of Iwa, he must first find Iwagakure and enter the academy. Wandering out of the city he would have no clue as to where he was headed to, rather unprepared in all of this. It would have most likely taken the boy's life. It was during one late night that the boy would see that death was a natural part of life as a large serpent beast would be chasing him down through the mountains of Tsuchi. He would run and dodge every strike of the massive serpent but the young orphan was tiring quickly. His toes would catch on a rock sending the boy face first into the dirt sliding, rolling ending up on his back facing the serpent that coiled up above him stalking it's prey. Sweat dripping down his small body, tears running down his face from his eyes. He'd been screaming for help, but at this point the boy saw no hope, no salvation. Two young lads would appear carrying bo staffs, they attempted to fight the serpent back but still couldn't take him. A tall man would appear with a quick set of strikes he'd render the serpent paralyzed for a short time, he picked up Aero and they would take their swift leave, not killiing the beast. This would be a grand marker in Aero's life from here on out.
Taken to a small village inside of cave where the man lived with the other two and a few more. They were monks, so he was told. The man gave his name to Aero to show his kindness, Aero would tell him what he was doing out here on his own, giving his life story and what his beliefs were so far. Rather extensive for that of an eight year old boy. Ike would laugh at this enjoying the enthusiam the child held. He offered to aid him by taking him to Iwagakure, so long as he promised to become a kind warrior, a protector of the weak. Aero would promise. A few days later Ike would set out with the boy across Tsuchi no Kuni. Aero had been a long ways off from where he originally was aiming for. He blamed the winding mountain paths. Though soon enough they could see the mountain that held Iwagakure. Ike told him he must take his leave, but he also told Aero that if he kept his heart and will as strong as they are now, he will have no problem becoming a strong shinobi. So Aero would set off on his own, approaching the mountain two men in Masks would appear and ask the boy what he was doing. They would listen before taking him to the village, later on in life he would learn that those men were of the ANBU ranks of shinobi.
Once inside the Village he would enter the academy with the money he had been saving for the past two years. He had just enough at the time to pull this off. While a student, Aero would try to fit in as best he could with the other kids, though he would run into his own troubles. Bully's would taunt the boy for his ears, but he didn't care as much, he knew better then to give into their words. Though one day a small group of them would be picking on one of the girls in Aero's class. These boys were a year old then Aero and the girl so they figured it was ok to pick on the younger kids. Aero would run into the middle of them and tell them to knock it off, they laughed and would begin to push Aero around, giving him a few good hits as well. Though he would stand back up every time, the boy wouldn't raise his fist towards them. He knew by fighting back he wouldn't win, he would only make it harder on himself. The girl told them to leave him alone that he wasn't the one they had a problem with. Aero would look back over his shoulder and give a big smile and say "Don't worry about me, now get out of here," those words and that smile would be the true start to Aero's hero days. He'd take a bit more of a beating, making it harder to stand back up, but he did anyway. The bully's were getting bored with this, knocking him down one more time they would leave. He laughed as he spit a little blood up, realizing that being a hero wasn't going to be easy.
The next day in class he'd arrive all bandaged up, bruises and scratches cover his face. The girl would have a worried look on her face as she watched him hobble into the room and take a seat, wincing at the pain he felt. All the kids were talking about what had happened to him. One finally asked him if he was stupid, because he didn't fight back at all, he just took the beating. Aero would smile at the boy who asked and told him that fighting back would have only made it more entertaining for them. The kids didn't understand it, but his teacher had been just outside the room and heard it all. She would smile, the boy's kind soul would touch many as he grew up. She came into the room and told the kids to take their seats, the class would continue with the day as if it was normal. After class the teacher would speak to him about what he said, telling him that he had an ideal of life that would be hard, but by far the most rewarding. She'd let him go and the girl from his class would catch up with him outside the school. She wanted to thank him for everything he did, the bully's didn't mess with her any more because of him. She kissed his forehead and then ran off blushing. Aero would stand aw struck with rosey cheeks, and elderly couple would clap and cheer on the boy jokingly from a nearby balcony.
Soon enough the years would pass, in his final year in the academy, Aero was getting a rather good handle on this whole ordeal of being a shinobi. He wasn't too fond of the idea of how often they must take a life, in fact he completly disagreed with it. His old academy teacher would meet with him one day and tell him that not all shinobi have to take a life, some are specialists in saving lives. She told him of the medical branch of shinobi's, that it required a lot of chakra control, something he was rather skilled in. She figured he would be an excellent medic, his ideals were perfect for a healer in the squad of shinobi. So he would begin even before he became a Gennin of the village his apprenticeship to a skilled Medical Shinobi of Iwagakure. He'd be considered a master of the style just after graduating from the academy. He was a child prodigy to some, though other's saw it as dumb luck, he had an early start thanks to the teacher. Though Aero wasn't going to allow them to just say he got lucky, he'd prove it by volunteering at the hospital on a daily basis instead of working on becoming stronger. He wanted to help people not hurt them, this was something he had always believed in, a pacifist by birth.
One day a Jounin would approach Aero, telling him that his medical skills are excellent for such a young age, but he needed more than that to help his team on missions, he'd need more skill and craft. He spoke of the Yamanaka clan that he was a part of, and the boy would join within a few days given all the proper training to learn intot he clan. Though this Jounin was helpful to the boy, and older man would watch as Aero practiced with a boy staff one day, he had heard of the boy, the idealist of peace in Iwagakure. Using a bo staff brought back memories to the Monk style that was rather unheard of. He himself had met Ike Lennon a master of the style, though he knew little of his whereabouts, he would sit the boy down and they would talk about the ideals that Aero held. His beliefs on life and other's lives. At the age of thirteen these beliefs were rather impressive, heck they were impressive when he formed them around age eight. He told him that there was a monk style that believed in the same ideals as Aero, a teacher was hard to find, but Aero was in luck. Rumor had it that Ike a teacher of the style lived somewhere within the Earth Country. Hearing the name would spark the memory of Ike himself. Aero would smile and speak of his encounter of the Master earlier in his life. This would settle it, he would set off to find Ike once more, to seek him as a teacher.
He'd leave the vilage with nothing more then his headband some orange and yellow robes and his bo staff. Not to mention his undying spirit. He remembered from his past that it was quite a distance into the Mountains of Tsuchi no Kuni, but he didn't really remember the location of it. It had been five years since that time of his life. He was just going to have to wander his way around this country till he found what he was looking for. Within a week his bare feet would ache and soon enough grow used to walking on the hard surfaces of the earth with no padding. He'd spend many hours in the sun, sitting, meditating attempting to understand life and what it had in store for him, for those around him. Overall he would fill his head with questions and ponder them, never finding a real answer to any of them. Just new perspectives on the parts of life that would bring such questions to his head. He'd run into a small hotel out in the country where he'd stop to grab a bite to eat, once inside he'd realized he had no money to do so with. So inside he would sit and relax for a moment and then he saw to travellers, they looked like hunters. This may be exactly what he was looking for. He'd ask them of a mountain range that held a large serpent like beast that was fowl and dangerous. They'd laugh at the boy for searching out such a beast but they told him a mountain range that mey hold such a beast.
Setting off once more, still hungry but he would find some herbs along the way and make a soup or a tea if he was lucky. It'd take him a few days to reach the mountain range that the men had spoken of but he would find it soon enough. If he was right this was the mountain range that Ike Lennon lived within. He only hoped he was right, though he knew to keep his spirits high, it was the only friend he had on this journey for now. A late night in the mountains he'd find a small cave that he searched in depth to make sure no beasts resided within. He'd take shelter here for the evening as he would rest near the entrance. A storm was raging outside, it seemed dangerous to try and be out in it. Soon enough a group of mountain bears would appear at the entrance, large beasts they were. They also were rather hostile and territorial on instincts. Aero wouldn't move, he wouldn't stop them from entering. The storm was bad, this cave had enough room for himself and the bears. The large male would approach the young boy and sniff his face, the snout only inches from his face. Aero could easily be torn to shreds from this position. The bear growled and the mother would enter guiding three cubs, they were adorable, she carried a fourth on her back. He was injured, Aero wasn't sure what had done it.
As the parents tried to nurse their young one back to health, Aero would realize the cub would die tonight if he didn't help. He'd approach slowly, trying to show no hostility towards them. The male would stand up on end, towering over Aero, raising a great paw about to strike the young lad. He would raise a hand to shield, he would stand where he was, allowing the bear to strike if it wished to. Confused by the reaction of Aero the Mother would step in and allow Aero to approach. It was then that he healed the young bear cub back to perfect health. It would just need to rest for the night. After that the mother would lick Aero's face in appreciation to what he had done. The other cubs would try and get him to play. Though the male was still not trusting of the human and roared once more, so Aero would stand up and turn to go back to where he was resting. As he turned towards the entrance of the cave, he could have sworn he saw a figure but if there was one it vanished almost instantly. He shook it off and would sit down leaning back against the wall. He'd lay his head back and get some rest. The morning came and the storm had passed, Aero still rather wet from the rain waters coming into the cave. He'd stand up and stretch the bears still sleeping in their position. He smiled before he would walk out into the sunlight. The warmth was comfirting.
He'd relax in the sun, meditating for a bit in the early morning, hours passed and he would be brought back from his meditation from the warmth of a wet tongue on his face. He raised his eye lids to see the young cub whom he had healed, he was trying to get the boy to play with him. He'd smile at the cub and wrestle around with the four of them a bit laughing and enjoying the innocence of the cubs. The mother would watch as the father had gone off to find food. Returning with a carcass of a mountain goat, much of the meat was gone, the father had eaten already. He'd set off and return with another yet this one was smaller. The mother would get that one to herself while the cubs ate the first one. Aero would sit back and watch, the father then walked up and pushed Aero towards the cubs goat. He was telling the boy to eat, though he couldn't eat the raw meat he'd start a small fire and fry up the meat quickly. Giving a bit to all fo them, they all seemed to enjoy it just as much as Aero did. It was rather delicious a first in his own experience. Though after he ate he would bid farewell to the cubs and the parents as he was to set off on his search for Ike once more.
Deeper into the range of mountains he would travel as he watched the large birds fly around, they were so free in the wind, spirits that he would envy from time to time. Though soon enough he'd see what he was using as a marker, the large serpent beast was resting at the foot of a canyon. The beast was large and rather vivid in color, it struck a bit of fear in Aero's heart. Bringing back the memories of his near death, he'd be frozen for the time being just staring down at the large serpent. A hand would grace his shoulder as he would turn startled it was a man with long blond hair, he looked rather familiar but he couldn't think of where. "Long time no see kid," he'd say with a laugh as it was then that Aero realized it was Ike, the man he'd been searching for. Aero would smile and say thanks for all that he had done for him in the past. They'd return to his cave where they could talk without fear of awakening the slumbering serpent below. Aero would tell him of his aspiration to become a monk. Ike would tell him that many have come to him, and many have been turned down. He asked Aero of his goals, of his ideals and outlooks one life. They would talk for hours, mainly Aero would, this was his first interaction with people in over a week or so now, he missed it.
Come the end of their conversation Ike would push his blond hair over his shoulder and laugh a bit. "Haven't changed a bit kid," he'd say with a chuckle. He spoke of Aero's original convesration with him, that if he had kept those ideals and became a kind warrior that Ike would be proud. This is exactly what Aero had done, it was what Aero had set out to do from day one five years ago. It was because of this that Ike would welcome the young lad into his teachings if he was willing to spend a lot of time out here away from his village. Aero would agree, it was then with a bow from a standing position that Aero became a student. Just after that Ike would mention that he saw what Aero did for the bear cub, he was proud of the kindness shown and it was from that moment that Aero would be welcomed a test passed in Ike's eyes. Removing the headband he'd place it in his pouch with his stuff near a small sleeping matt that he would call home for the next few years. Within only two days of entering the teachings of this style Aero would approach Ike of a request. He longed to shave his head, to become a true monk, not just a warrior monk. For Ike was his teacher and he held long blond locks upon his head. Ike would laugh and agree so they would shave the boy's head this is what he saw as true entrance to what he was about to begin.
Ike would teach Aero equal to how he taught every other student in the group. No special treatment for the boy, which is exactly what the medic wanted. He'd begin with spending his hours in the sun meditating no longer pondering life, but the ways of his life force his chakra. He was training into the extensive orbs that were the base of this entire style. It took him around a week before he was getting close. During the times of training he'd spend the entire time the sun was up in his meditation. The other's found it a bit over done, though Ike admired the determination. The boy was fond of the sun, he was born in July after all. Though during the night he'd eat with everyone else and laugh with his newly obtained friends. Ike being one of them. This group of students and a teacher were a tight knit group, it was comforting to find such brotherhood still within this world. Soon enough Aero would get a handle on the orbs and would be welcomed to train with the group once more. During spars that they held few would be injured but when they were, Aero would be the one to heal them. It was rather useful having such a skilled Medic in their presence. The boy was fitting in just fine with his friends and his teacher.
A year would pass and with such absence from the Village a Jounin was sent out into the country to find the boy. Aero was during this time out on his own adventure from the cave, spending time observing a large pack of bison whom were traveling through on their seasonal migration. Aero was studying but more so just enjoying watching life move on in front of his own eyes. At times he would pass into the pack the peaceful nature of his soul could be felt by the beasts and so they did not defend against him or run to survive, they continued to graze. There were so many bison it was breath taking, he'd help some of the injured that he could get close to, though he knew it was natural for a large number to die on this journey. It was a natural law, death being one of the absolute truths to this world. Sitting up on a cliff gazing out over the herd, the Jounin would appear behind him. "Don't run," he'd say in a stern voice as Aero would turn around to see the man. Blade drawn he was seeking to capture Aero. It made Aero wonder why he was acting so hostile, though then he realized he was not wearing his headband, perhaps he was viewed as a traitor? Aero would turn to speak to the man whom was rather on edge, he wasn't sure why. A few quick attempted strikes would be countered by the bo staff of Aero whom would then question what was going on.
The Jounin would explain he was viewed as dead or a traitor at this point, Aero didn't wish for either outcome. He was simply training under a teacher whom didn't reside within Iwagakure. The Jounin knew thats what he had left to do, but wasn't sure if this was true. Aero knew he couldn't lead the man back to the cave, he could only hope he'd trust his word. "Wait here, I'll return with my teacher in one day's time," handing over all his belongings except his robes. Collateral so to speak, Aero would leave and return with Ike to show he was telling the truth. The Jounin still demanded that Aero return to the village with him, Ike told the boy that his time with him was done for now. He was needed as a shinobi of Iwagakure, to follow up on his destiny to be a kind warrior. If he wanted to return to train with him he was more then welcomed to. Ike would go get the items of Aero from the cave and hand them over. Tying the headband back to his forehead he would bid farewell to his Master and his friend. Returning with the Jounin to Iwagakure to show his loyalty still stood within the walls here. He'd be forced to speak with the current Tsuchikage at the time, Myriam Nade. She was a medic much like himself he had worked along side her a few times. She'd allow him to live here once more with the village as a Gennin.
While back within the village his old Academy teacher would find him, she wanted to teach Aero a rare skill that was rather useful as a support role to a team of shinobi on a mission. It was the sensory style, something that proved useful to a medics role in the team. Aero would spend hours ever day with the woman she was teaching him what she could. At first he didn't take much of a knack for it, it wasn't a skill he was going to have an easy time obtaining. Though it was because of this training that he soon enough would begin to understand how it would all work. So when he wasn't training under her, he spent time meditating trying to grasp the true reason why he couldn't learn into this style yet. No true answer would come to him other than, something that is wanted is normally harder to obtain if it's something that's not only wanted but also needed in life. Aero would have to earn such a trait, he would need to understand that life was not going to make this task an easy one. Though Aero wouldn't have it any other way, taking the harder path was something he enjoyed to do. It was something he'd done since day one...[/blockquote]
