C-Rank, after the user performs the signs they will crouch and place their hands flat against the ground focusing their chakra into a wide area of the ground under them freezing any water or fusing into the ice or snow then bursts out of the ground in a ring around the user traveling at 10 meters a second this versions range is only 20 meters and the spikes have the strength to pierce through cloth flesh and bone but not through any metal.
The length of spikes is proportional to the amount of chakra the user puts into it.

"Cool" I said softly before walking over to the water and performing the seals again focusing the chakra into my palm concentrating it making it denser making it glow a soft white before lowering myself to the water pushing the chakra into the water watching as it seeped into the water extending out in front of me fusing with the water making soft cracking noises again as it started to glow faintly.

The water started to freeze becoming tangible ice then in an instant started to pierce up out of the water creating the waves of ice smoothly each spike the same length at about 4 meters but the range had extended it looked like the spikes extended all the way to thirty meters now.

I could see a few fish wiggling on the tips of the ice having been caught by the spikes. I started to feel a little guilty but i could see a few savager fish and snakes waiting for them to fall into the water for food. Then the ice shattered and disipated dropping the fish into the water to be devoured my the waiting diners.

I walked over toward the forest stopping between the forest's edge and the lake seeing that distance to both was about ten meters. I performed the handsigns crouching back down to the ground quickly pushing the built up chakra into the soil taking its moisture infusing it with the icy energy. I took a deep breath and pushed the chakra up raising the ground a little as spikes of solid ice started to emerge and burst through the ground forming the torrent it was named after.

"Ice-Style: Piercing Torrent" I said softly my chakra pushing through the ice making it grow and continue to rush into the forest breaking and shattering against some trees, tearing and gouging others from the ground. The ice finally stopped at its max range of thirty meters ten in the field and twenty in the forest. It had also seemed my extra chakra made the length of the spikes increase they were now around six meters in length. I walked into the forest finding I could control how its disipation, I could see broken ice stubs as well as a few smaller trees uprooted and hanging from the sharp tips.

Description: The ninja gathers air with his hands and mixes it with chakra, by doing this he transforms them into sharp and deadly needles. The needles are almost invisible so it is hard for the enemies to see them. This technique may be blocked by large objects, however something small such as a sword, or a staff will allow the needles to seperate still moving towards the object it was originally sent to. Not a powerful technique as the user is capable of hurling up to ten senbon wind needles that gives out minor cuts. However this could be used as a more of a set up technique to allow the user to perform a more dangerous technique.
Limit: Must have the Wind Release

"Hey Axel, catch!" called Ayura as she threw me a sky-blue scroll making me scramble to catch it. "try that out"

"Kay sis" I opened it and started scanning along it reading the description of the new technique it seemed simple enough in theory but practice might be a very differnt story. I rolled up the scroll setting it down then preformed the seals next I semi-cupped my hands together focusing my chakra their drawing my wind element the air around me into my hands. I concentrated feeling the soft breeze moving across my hands and swirling in my palms trying to shape the gentle current.

I closed my eyes pushing a little more chakra into them as I silently visualized their shape form and texture. Wind, Needles, Current, Speed, I could see in my mind the wind grinding against itself like water against a dam, then slowly splitting open and fading leaving the form of a long sharp needle that was as smooth as the air it came from. I opened my eyes again and re-ran the visualization over and over feeling a gentle weight in my hands and soft faint little pricks at my skin.

I finally felt the wind fade and opened my palms looking down at ten, nearly invisable, needles floating just against my palm. I smiled seeing that they looked as described and walked over to a tree next to the lake's edge before tossing the needles at them, four to the tree and six to the water. The wind needles sliced almost effortlessly through the water before fading about a meter under water while the others had hit the tree and became a breeze leaving behind four distinct needle holes in it.

I thought over the results of the just and considered it a success, then... I began to think of the other techniques that went along with it.

I smiled lightly pleased with the performance of the new air needles I saw the needles left about an inch of penetration into the wood. I performed the hand seals again and felt the wind rush into my palms again grinding together sharpening lengthening into long sharp needles. They hovered gently in my palm the soft air wrapped around them letting them float.

I smiled and got an idea and concentrated making them float in mid-air converging and turning too spell out 'AXEl' I glared softly a little annoyed that I was one needle off. I sighed and let it go driving the small needles into the ground letting them stick and vanish. After practicing the technique again I went to find Ayura to ask her about the stronger forms of this new move.

I yawned softly walking through the streets having let Ayura take Hime to go get groomed at the salon, I knew my pup enjoyed being pampered so I let her go... but man it was boring being stuck without her to talk to. I sighed muttering to myself softly as I looked through a few shop windows, my gaze darkened even more as I noticed that none of the shops had anything unique or new. I sighed softly hanging my head as I passed by a weapons shop that I knew very well and I caught a gleam of crimson out of the corner of my eye, I turned to see the the tip of an ashen blade being pulled to the side and out of view. I went over to the shop opening the door and stepping into the store seeing a few other swordsmen and shinobi looking at weapons, then I saw the crimson color again, it was on the counter the handle of a blade wrapped in red leather, the rest of the blade was obscured by the form of a well built man. I walked over looking over the mans shoulder my eyes widening at the blade, just its form seemed to spark something a fire inside me.

"One Red Queen, there you go sir" the shop owner said after ringing up the man and he nodded taking the blade from the corner lifting the blade over his shoulder making my have to duck so I didnt get hit with it as he turned and walked out carrying the blade seemingly not to notice me at all, I turned to the shop owner.

"Excuse me sir but whats that blade you just sold?" I asked him extremely curious about the new blade that the man had bought.

"Oh that blade is called the Red Queen, it's very rare that's the only one I've actually owned in fact" he said smiling but the information made me pale as I rushed out of the store looking right and left for the man that had bought the crimson blade. I saw a faint glint of crimson to my left seeing the shine off the blade just as the man turned around the corner and I ran after him hoping to catch up with him. I turned down the next street and froze in place feeling cold steel against my neck, looking down I saw the red sword at my throat and slowly looked up at the man holding it there he then narrowed his eyes and slowly lowered the blade.

"What do you want kid?" he asked looking me over slowly but my eyes kept drifting between his and the blade, it was huge a one-sided blade with a throttle at the handle and vine and thorn design on it's side.

"S-sorry I saw that blade and it caught my interest" I smiled sheepishly rubbing the back of my head as I held out my hand. "My name's Axel, nice to meetcha"

"My name's Hao" he said shaking my hand and he sighed softly lowering his hand making me look up at him confused. "Kid do you even know fire style?"

"No but what does that have anything to do with?" I asked even more confused as he slid the sword into a sheath on his back.

"you see, this blade needs the wielder to know how to use fire or it's nearly useless" he explained to me and I looked down dismayed but then I started to feel the strong blaze of determination and I looked up at him having a previous interest in the fire release.

"Hao can you please take me as your student and teach me the fire release?" I asked dropping to my knees and bowing to him, hoping I could convince him to teach me.

"Sure sure, just get off the ground kid I dont need you making a seen okay?" he said pulling me to my feet glaring faintly from the spectacle.

"Thank you Hao-sama I'm in your debt" I said bowing just my head and he nodded patting my head and placed his hand on his chin thinking.

"Just call me Hao no honorific, and secondly I have some things I need to do so take this and meet me at the hot springs tomorrow" he said handing me a small booklet and a mini-map of the area so I could tell where to go.

"Okay thank you Hao" I said and grinned to myself, he smiled and started back down the direction he was going to begin with, and I just couldnt help thinking of what it was he had to do.

I walked home looking through the little booklet Hao had given me, it was filled with tricks to learning each of the releases from fire to paper. When I got home I checked to see if Ayura and Hime were back yet but it was only 2:00 P.M. so they were still out. I sighed softly a little sad that my other half wasn't here with me, I then went up to my room setting down the booklet and map opening my window to stare out over the village I proudly called my own.

"Time to get to training" I said and picked up the booklet re-reading the section on fire release, I set it back down before sitting on my bed crossing my legs and closing my eyes and started to breathe in and out deeply visualizing it as fire flowing in and out in soft plumes of red flame drifting out past my lips and nose. I could feel my body gradually start to warm more as I delved deeper into warmth of my chakra as it stated to get hotter inside of me shifting and coursing through me faster and hotter.

I slowly opened my eyes seeing that my arms were glowing a faint red and I eased the flow of my chakra feeling it slow and the heat calm down a little. I couldnt feel cold anymore my body was too warm, I yawned softly feeling the unique sensation of having a strong inner warmth. I stopped the warm flow running thrugh my body feeling tired as I curled up on my bed deciding to take a nap and a small smile slipped onto my lips feeling warm and content.

I woke up yawning softly still feeling warm from the exercise, I slowly looked up out the window and saw the sunlight shining through feeling it refreshing rather then blinding like I used to. I stretched and suddenly realized something that should've been more obvious. The sun only shined through this window in the morning, but that couldn't be right I only took a nap and it was still mid-day when I went to sleep!

I quickly got up taking off my clothes and hoping into the shower and quickly turning the knobs and I cringed as I noticed I turned the hot water all the way up. I quietly yelped and help my hands up to the water sheilding myself as the water came from the nozzle. And. Nothing. Nothing at all.

I looked back down at the knob and saw that it was full hot, the situation confused me but I could feel my worries melting away in the heat, my worries almost burning away to nothing. I sighed liking the warmth and comfort pouring and dripping down my body revitalizing my health and relaxing my body, unwinding the tension.

I sighed contently having turned off the shower and getting dressed, next I picked up the map and booklet Hao had given me putting them in my pocket. I scribbled down a note and slipped it under her door asking her to watch after Hime again today for me, I went downstairs grabbing a piece of ham from the fridge as I headed out smelling the brisk morning air and the sun's warm rays washing across me and my village.

"Time to get moving I guess" I breathed softly and smiled as I headed out of the village to the mountain range where the hot springs where. I continued my hike high into the mountains checking the map every hour or two to make sure I was on track, something was strange though as I continued to climb the mountain I never started to feel tired and hot, in fact, the sun felt invigorating. I continued along the mountain eventually finding a trail and following it a ways then I could see what looked like fog but my instincts said it was steam. I followed the trail to the steam and found what I'd been looking for, the hot springs, I explored a little finding about four pools of steaming water next to a large building. The springs flowed down into each pool before going down the edge of the steep mountain, I walked over to the building gently knocking on the door, I could hear shuffling coming from inside and Hao answered the door looking down at me surprised.

"You actually came?" he said shocked as I grinned and nodded looking up at him.

"Yep I take my training seriously" I said smiling determined and he gently patted my shoulder grinning.

"That's good to hear, listen inside I have a spar bathing robe in the closet, go change and join me in the springs" he sounded kind enough so I walked into his home taking my shoes off at the door before stepping inside, Hao's home had a warm fire design to it with red orange and yellow paints and hues. I found the restroom opening the small closet inside grabbing the extra robe then changing into it before walking out to the pool Hao was sitting in. slipping into the pool I felt the steam and heat flood and course through my body invigorating and relaxing my body.

"It feels nice to have it course through you doesn't it?" he asked me with his eyes closed and steam rolling off his shoulders.

"Yeah it really is" I answered softly liking the heat running through me.

"To start with regulate your body tempature" Hao said softly still relaxing but his voice had the stern edge my Aunt Suin had when i trained with her.

"Alright" I slowly closed my eyes and visualized the flow of heat in my body and started to slow it down. I could feel the heat of the water slowly overcome my body making me pant and I made the return sighing in relief. "That burned"

I closed my eyes starting to raise my own body tempature feeling the fire course through me and I could feel my body getting warmer and the water around me started to feel colder. I opened my eyes and saw that the water around me was bubbling from heat and more steam was raising off my shoulders keeping them dry, I made my tempature go back down to where I could feel the warmth and it wasnt overwhelming.

"It seems you've completed the first part of your training, understanding the fire inside you" Hao said getting out of the spring drying and putting his robe back on. I followed him the water drying off of me quickly, I waited outside as he went inside to get something I sat down near the edge of the cliff looking out over the land of waterfalls.

The next thing I knew a wall of flames sprung up around me trapping me against the cliff's edge, I could feel the heat from the flames, the flames had chakra burning inside them. I could see the outline of something in the flames and saw the Red Queen Hao had bought, the flames eagerly creeping off the blade. I could tell this was the next part of my training.

I breathed trying to calm myself and pushed a layer of chakra over my hands as I held them at my sides with my palms facing the sky. Focusing I tried to call the fire to me using my chakra seeing a few flames bend toward me as well as a few embers floating to my hands.

They stayed there clinging to my chakra feeding off of it like fuel growing into a stronger flame. I watched as the small embers covered my hands burning hotter and stronger growing into fire balls around my hands. I ealked closer to the fire wall holding my hands out toward watching as my chakra seemed to call and pull them toward the fire I was holding.

I channeled a little more chakra and the flames hungrily moved around my hands my chakra controlling and feeding them, I closed my eyes feeling the flames whipping around my chakra covered hands then I pulled my hands close calling all the flames to my hands and all of the flames rose from the charred ground into my hands.

I rose my hands into the air making the fire converge into one ball before shooting up into the air exploding into a small plume of smoke. I gasped falling to my knees feeling the strain of the method, I looked up seeing a few embers on Hao's Red Queen die. I slowly got up grasping the handle before wrenching the blade out of the ground before walking over to Hao's shack knocking on the door until he answered.

"You. Suck. Big time" I said glaring at him handing him the crimson blade before sitting on the porch winded and hot but not having lost that much chakra. Hao smiled sitting next to me patting my shoulder as I got my breath back into me, controlling fire was rough but I hoped it would be worth it.

I groaned faintly standing again my palms finally cooling down, I then gathered a few pieces of dried wood into a pile and sat down next to them. I picked up a small stick and took a deep breath then i concentrated a film of chakra in my throat and mouth before breathing out onto the tip of the stick. I watched surprised as my breath was ignited in flickered out licking against the dried wood.

The small flames started to catch against the dry wood making it combust and burn slowly with a fire gently glowing at the tip. I smiled seeing it and breathed out harder the fire growing into a plume about the size of my hand, the bigger flames made the fire burn bigger and hotter moving its way done the piece of kindling slowly consuming the wood.

I ground out the flame against the gravel looking over at the pile of wood, I concentrated my chakra in my throat and mouth again making it hotter then last time. I breathed in I could feel the warmth fill my lungs before blowing out all the air, suddenly a roaring ball of flame erupted engulfing the pile of wood. I could hear crackling and popping coming from the burning wood as I slowly let the chakra fade from my mouth and throat making the fire slowly die down and fade.

I stared in amazement at the burning campfire in front of me the flames reaching at least six feet up into the air as it cracked loudly eating away it's fuel. Hao's eyes widened at how big the flames were and how bright, he walked over and saw the the whole pile I had collected was covered in flames rather then just one side of it.

Hanabi no Shinka (Fire Flower of Evolution)

Effect: Creates a small flower made of flames with six petals that are each six inches long.
Special: “Hand Seals”- Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Rabbit, Tiger, extending the left hand away from the body, then using the thumb, index, and middle fingers in a triangle-like formation.
Drawback: This ability has no real value beyond using it within a combo attack.
Description: This jutsu creates a flower made entirely of flames. The user performs the required hand seals, channeling chakra through the left hand’s thumb, index, and middle fingers. The left hand is then moved away from the body, and the three mentioned fingers form a triangle shape, while the other two fingers close like the user would make a fist. The built chakra then move upwards and out of the hand, sparking to life and creating a flower with six petals that are six inches long each. If the triangle formation is ever broken, then the entire flame disappears. This ability can almost be treated like a fighting style stance. Each use of a Hanabi no Shinka will require a set amount of petals to be used; after the petals have all been used, the ability must be re-performed. Any time that a part of the Hanabi no Shinka has been destroyed, so long as the whole flower is not destroyed, it will slowly regenerate unless it has been used for an attack.

I sat by the lakes back at my training ground looking through the multitude of scrolls my fire teacher, Hao, had given to me. Hao had said that there were many great and powerful fire techniques in the world but many of them had to be worked toward with great persevearance and tenacity. I found a string of techniques I thought sounded interesting.

"Fire Flowers" I muttered softly and channeled my chakra into my thumb, index, and middle fingers and made a small triangle shape with them I then pushed the chakra out and concentrated it into six spokes of flame I filled out the spokes making them become flower petals with bright flames for the veins and darker flames for the petals themselves.
