Setsuai was a healer. It was in her nature, she almost couldn't help it. So when she came across a wounded beast in the pseudowilds between Kirigakure and the rest of Mizu no Kuni, she naturally had to try to heal it. Although...
"A bear? Do we even HAVE bears out here?" A moment of contemplation brought her to the conclusion that indeed they did. After all, was there not one in front of her, just lying there?
Setsuai examined the creatures injuries. Arrow wounds. A lot of them. And even though almost all of the shafts were missing, there seemed a great many metal arrowheads still embedded in the poor kuma-chan's flesh. she would hve to pry them out and close each wound individually. "Sorry friend, but this is going to hurt...badly."
And with that, she actively jammed her hand into the layer of fat that seemed to have saved most of the beast's vital organs, tearing out individual heads one by one. It was brutal, and painful, and the bear gave a low roar. It translated basically as "If I weren't hurt so badly, I'd swipe your head off."
It also unfortunately significantly widened the wounds, such that it would be more difficult for her to close them. She closed her eyes, focused a moment, and, one hand resting on the bear's flank to gague its breathing, the other flashed through the one-handed zodiac seals she was known for. An aura of healing energy surrounded her hand, and she jammed it back inside the wound. If she started on the surface she would close the surface only, and the poor beast would die from internal bleeding. Slowly, as the layers of flesh and occasional bit of muscle knitted back together she withdrew her palm, closing the wound completely, only to thrust it into the next, and begin the process anew.
This one was larger than the first, and she had to move her hand around inside of it to close it completely, which was far from pleasant. Setsuai looked to her hand, slicked with blood, and gave a bemused shrug. She didn't really have to worry about clean water when she could...
the fingers danced again, and an orb of water surrounded her palm, picking away at the scarlet, before splashing away onto her patient's punctures. A little wash wouldn't hurt.
