PERSONALITY
A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil-after all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, she's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. Neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.
SPECIFICS
Iai displays almost no emotions when free from the influence of her other personalities, beings she refers to as 'Alts'. She seems to have no opinion on anything either negative or positive, and is largely unconcerned/unaware with the progression of events in the world, and of her place within it. She refrains from showing even the barest dedication to the completion of a task, and doesn't readily understand nor use words that might denote a comprehension of the concept of failure. Things merely exist within her vague perception, and while she often ignores the advice and/or existence of other people, she is also not inclined towards malicious apathy. Nothing she does appears purposeful.
She has often described events as random and unimportant, and seems to reserve judgment of the world around her to others. While she will act to maintain the hierarchy set up within Kirigakure No Sato, her reluctance to efficiently begin, continue, or end any project she becomes involved with has lead her seeming 'insubordination' to be overlooked, in favor of the view that she's just too disturbed to be bothered with. She seems unconcerned with forming friends, and far more intrigued by allusions to tangential philosophical theorizing.

(DID) DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER OR ALTER EGO
Rank: "C" Rank
Skill: None
Effect: Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a condition in which a single person displays multiple distinct identities or personalities (known as alter egos or alters), each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. The diagnosis requires that at least two personalities routinely take control of the individual's behavior with an associated memory loss that goes beyond normal forgetfulness; in addition, symptoms cannot be due to drug use or medical condition. Individuals diagnosed with DID demonstrate a variety of symptoms with wide fluctuations across time; functioning can vary from severe impairment in daily functioning to normal or high abilities. Symptoms can include:
- multiple mannerisms, attitudes and beliefs that are not similar to each other
- headaches and other body pains
- distortion or loss of subjective time
- depersonalization
- amnesia
- depression
- derealization
- flashbacks of abuse/trauma
- unexplainable phobias
- sudden anger without a justified cause
- lack of intimacy and personal connections
- frequent panic/anxiety attacks
- auditory hallucinations of the personalities inside their mind
Patients may experience an extremely broad array of other symptoms that resemble epilepsy, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and eating disorders.
It has been theorized that severe sexual, physical, or psychological trauma in childhood predisposes an individual to the development of DID. The steps in the development of a dissociative identity are theorized to be as follows:- The child is harmed by a trusted caregiver (often a parent or guardian) and splits off the awareness and memory of the traumatic event to survive in the relationship.
- The memories and feelings go into the subconscious and are experienced later in the form of a separate personality.
- The process happens repeatedly at different times so that different personalities develop, containing different memories and performing different functions that are helpful or destructive.
- Dissociation becomes a coping mechanism for the individual when faced with further stressful situations.
Someone how is diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, may experience distinct identities or personality. Normally the split personality has opposing character traits of the person, being considered as their opposite. While other times the persona is a subconscious desire of being like that, or the subconscious desire that is suppress. When the alter ego takes control of the body, they seem to be more in-tuned with the body. Displaying remarkable abilities and feats that the person wouldn't ordinary do. The split-personality is also tougher in more way's then the normal person, they are also more tolerant to pain since they are usually a manifestation of it. Though the person and his alter persona's share the same body, there threshold for pain is separate. When one of them feel pain the others are unaffected by it. However, this doesn't mean there body is at hundred percent when a alter ego comes out when the person has suffered so much pain they lose control. The alter ego may not feel or experience of pain his counter-part has experience, but there body is still physically damaged.
Special: The alter ego is tougher than the person, please note that being tougher doesn't mean they are stronger or faster than before. It just mean they are more harder to beat, cause they know how to use there body better than before.
Drawback: When a alter ego surfaces it's quite hard for them to return back to the subconscious. Unless, their is a certain trigger that can relax them returning them back to there normal self. The alter ego will surface if the person is near-death, sick, seriously injured or in some cases intoxicated.
Description: When a alter persona surfaces certain physical changes may occur. This usually happens so that the persona may show off their own independent personality. This can be in a range of the person's hair changing color or style, eye color changing from blue to green, or even their voice getting deeper or lighter. It depends on how the personality wishes to make himself known.
[Ex] A C Ranking Shinobi is with Alter Ego is fighting against a B Ranking Shinobi, hand's down the Higher ranking ninja win. However, the Shinobi's alter ego took control halfway during the battle and now the B Ranking Shinobi will have a harder time defeating the him now since he become abnormally tougher to take down. This is of course not counting one's Rping Skills. Still the B Ranking Shinobi is more powerful and still defeat the C Ranking one, but with more effort put in to it. When someone has a Split-personality, their other persona is more capable and talented fighter than their counter-part. If everyone was listed by challenge rating an alter ego would boast up ones challenging rating somewhat. Were going to look at someone who is C Rank and Considered a Challenge Rating 2. Depending on how many alter ego's they have depends on how tougher they become when in a fight.- One Counter-part: Challenging rating 2.5
- Two Counter-parts: Challenging rating for first counter-part 2.3, Second counter-part 2.6
- Three Counter-parts: Challenging rating for first counter-part 2.3, Second counter-part 2.5, Third counter-part 2.7
- Four Counter-parts: Challenging rating for first counter-part 2.2, Second counter-part 2.4, Third counter-part 2.6, and Fourth counter-part 2.8
- One Counter-part: Challenging rating 2.5
- The child is harmed by a trusted caregiver (often a parent or guardian) and splits off the awareness and memory of the traumatic event to survive in the relationship.
Limit: Must obtain this when you first make your character, you can't get this later on or even in a re-vamp of a current bio. The person needs to ask for creator permission or Higher staff. (Admin or Head-mod). The person is not allowed to have more than four split personality, if they have more than four they are unable to obtain this technique.
l Ren'ai l Kirei l Unzari l Karas l
REN'AI
Lawful Evil
Cruel and unusual, with a desire to dish out punishment, Ren'ai dislikes nearly everyone and maintains selfish goals that feed her internal desire to hurt other people. She believes that lessons in life can only be learned through pain, and that she should be subservient to no-one and nothing save those more powerful than herself. Luckily, her conceit prevents her from seeing anyone else as being capable of being more powerful, and she frequently voices the more violent and unhinged observations Iai would otherwise keep quiet. As overtly evil as she may seem, she is also a follower, and would gladly rally to others causes if she felt she could serve their interests, or to save her own life.
KIREI
Chaotic Neutral
Kirei holds one thing to be true, that she is the most important person on earth. She values freedom and creative expression, gives in to her emotions, is the most spontaneous, and represents the more uninhibited side of Iai. She will nevertheless attempt to stop those things from occurring that she feels are morally reprehensible, and prefers to do what she wants...as well as providing others with the choice to do what they want. While she wouldn't kill a person she considered innocent, only her personal emotions would engender her to save them, and she has no problem killing others, provided its a matter of life and death.
UNZARI
Lawful Good
Unzari is obsessed with following the rules and guidelines of Kirigakure No Sato, so much so that her own ideas and beliefs usually follow in line with whatever is dictated by the current Kage, or the ANBU guards that enforce that individuals rule. She will offer help, guidance, and advice where she can, and represents the aspect of Iai that is most proud of being a shinobi of the Hidden Mist. She has a near insatiable appetite for knowledge and is a natural researcher.
KARAS
Chaotic Evil (Adventurer)
The only decidedly 'male' personality Iai possesses, Karas will blatantly kill and murder anyone and anything he wishes, with no regards to rules or regulations, and no concern for the well-being of any creature other than himself. He has no mercy or sympathy for the weak, and represents the most damaged and dangerous aspect of Iai, a direct refection of her confusion and sense of being overwhelmed within the world. Karas is the only personality that it can be said Iai truly fears.
APPEARANCE
Thin but with a curvaceous build, she has large dark eyes and spiky mid-length hair she often doesn't bother to style. Her facial features are small and oddly symmetrical, with finely shaped eyebrows and a 'models' facial structure that don't make it difficult for her to be considered attractive. She has long legs and ample cleavage which she has been known to accentuate with a revealing style of dress, though this is done more from indifference (and as a response to the temperate climate of the land of mist) than from any desire to entice the opposite sex.
- Hair Color: Black
- Eye Color: Dark Gray
- Complexion: Medium
- Tattoo's: Senju Clan Tattoo; Lower Back
- Scars: Burn Wound; Left Shoulder
- Special Equipment/Uniform: Kinmitsu
Light-weight shinobi armor crafted of a simple mesh-weave and reinforced with several straps and belts that can incorporate carrying pouches with greater ease, her all black clothing assists her with maintaining the somewhat sinister reputation of Kirigakure ninja.
When not attending to her responsibilities as a Mist Village shinobi, Iai can be found dressed as each of her personalities may dictate. This causes her to absentmindedly spend an inordinate amount of money on maid outfits, expensive evening gowns, long black trench-coats, lab technician uniforms, etc. She prefers to dress in a few light layers of clothing, allowing freedom of movement, but normally wears her customized skin-tight kinmitsu underneath.

HISTORY
She was born in the Land of Fire, the second daughter in a family of three boys and two girls to parents who could not afford the responsibility of their offspring. She was given up for adoption, a common practice at the time, casually mistreated by those who felt they 'owned' her, and eventually sold to work in the sulfur mines of Minamijima, sailing across the borders that separated her from the Land of Water. It was within these mines that she began experiencing problems, both in relating to the world around her and with her own health. Though she'd grown on the half-mumbled drunken statements of a father who berated her constantly about displaying the 'strength' of the long forgotten Senju clan, she had little pride in their fabled abilities, and knew them only by the horrific treatment she suffered at their hands.
Claustrophobia would send her reeling in fear from the mouth of the weakly reinforced caves, an aversion to light born in the depths of the mines kept her from her dreams of escape, the chemical compounds that she absorbed daily slowly poisoned her lungs and gave her a thick cough that caused others to become impatient with speaking to her, and eventually led to isolation and depression. Luckily for her, the mines were eventually shut down, and it was at the age of twelve that she was taken in by ANBU working against the abusive practices of her 'home'. Though the damage had been done, many of her problems were overlooked, and when she was found talking to herself in a medical facility designed for the treatment of traumatic psychological damage, she was summarily enrolled in the Hidden Mist Ninja Academy. It was reasoned that she simply 'needed someone else to talk to', but the voices would stay with her for half a year, long enough for her to graduate and leave on a self-imposed mission of discovery.
She encountered her unique wood release abilities amongst a field of corpses recently ransacked by marauders searching tourists for ryo. The voices within her took over, and she allowed this without the slightest hesitation, concerned only with absorbing as much of the experience as she could. Her emotional reactions had been severely dulled, she became an accessory to a life passing her by, and was perfectly fine living it as nothing more than an objective spectator. When she eventually returned to Mist, she donned the Kiragakure headband for the first time, her mouth twitching slightly in acknowledgment.
It was only on the inside, where nobody could see or hear or cared, that four other voices rang out, some in agreement, some in fury. Her mission now is the simple and efficient advancement of her skills., if only to make her a more valuable asset to her country and village.
Parts of her disagree with the plan.
