Plot:
A most odd castle rests within Kawa no Kuni, the Land of the River. Whatever monstrosity lurks within has placed some sorts of curse upon this land, as the dreams of men and women are most wicked, and those within Suigen and Moyoushi too have been affected. Their dreams are filled with most bizarre dreamscapes similar to those around the castle, and most worryingly, each night they are murdered in their dreams. Torn apart or eaten by a creature hidden from their sight. These dreams slowly drive the people mad and insane, leaving their minds shattered. Completely and utterly.
The Land of River, Kawa no Kuni, is home to many ruins, some more frightening than others. The ruins of an ancient, Cyclopean castle are one of the more unsettling, cursed places within these lands. Its architecture was quite unlike anything constructed by the sane, or even human mind. A multitude of spherical constructions adorn the outside of the ruined castle, multiple windows, strangely distorting and bending with the uneven parts of the sphere cover it in entirety. A dozen cylindrical towers stand behind these spheres, without windows but scalloped outer shells serving as terraces. Elongated bridges shifting in height connect the twelve towers. The castle stands between these towers, but strangely, it is a rather small construction, not standing higher than twenty feet and its length is no more than ten. Pillars extend outward from the castle, hanging freely into the air. Vines have grown and now hang down from these pillars. The colour of the castle? It is as unsettling as the structures geometry. The rocks that were used to build this castle, if they could be called that, are of a sickly, glowing green shade. Even in the deepest of nights the green glows strongly. Strong winds blow around this castle, filling the air with a shrill, unearthly hum.
While the appearance may already be a bit odd, inside one discovers the truly bizarre. While the castle may appear much smaller on the outside, within a truly colossal space opens. It would seem as if the castle has an area of over a mile, and the ceiling cannot be reached unless one rises to a height of two hundred meters. Whatever otherwordly effect has been used upon this castle is unknown, and mayhap it can be discovered. The geometry on the inside is quite similar to what one has seen when glancing upon this castle. Bridges lead from one door to the other, with seemingly random cylindrical towers, three meters wide, protruding from the walls. A cosmic pillar stands at over one hundred meters, already visible from the entrance. The lower part of the pillar is circular while the top is in the shapes of triangles build upon triangles. A thick, orange slime oozes from the walls. Cocoons stick to this slime, shaking and writhing, but moments from opening. Strange, fungi-like structures hang from the ceiling deeper in the castle.
Many have attempted to cleanse whatever has befallen this castle, but none have succeeded. Never have they returned. Most likely a quick –or slow and painful- death has come for them. The castle waits, to be purified and conquered. Will you stand by as these lands continue to be corrupted, or will you fight?
Come with a strong mind. Wretched hallucinations will ensue anyone who enters this castle.
