Questions are here for a reason. Namely because a lot of mods have been... acting like assistants in a way.

1) A complaint thread has been made saying a mod (Not you) is being unfair in one way or another. The mod posts their defense and it turns into a flame war. The two are constantly posting back and forth and you're the only staff member online. What do you do?

2) You've issued a warning and the member feels it was unjust. They PM you kindly stating this. After you explain your reasoning they still find it unfair. What course of action do you take?

3) The Cbox is out of control with spammers. Two assistants are participating in this spam and you ask them all to stop. When you do they start baiting and flaming you. Name your course of action.

1. Well if I get on and it has already started I’d give each individual in the thread a 33 %, lock the thread and let higher staff deal with the situation. Of course depending upon the problem I’ll answer the question if I can but still lock and give each individual a 33% and let higher staff again deal with it how they’d please.

2. Haha, I was asked this very question when I applied for Assistant my first time through. Except just a minor difference in the wording of the question. Either way, my answer hasn’t really changed much. I’d talk it out with them in a clam and adult like manner. Through our talking of PM’s and / or YIM I’d also direct it towards the attention of other staff members asking them if they felt it was unjust or if it was justified. If they agree it was unjust, well… I’ve learned and we all make mistakes but I’d also except any form of punishment that you’d like to dish out without any problem.

I pride myself on being fair no matter the circumstance and if I wasn’t well yea =\.

3. Well I’m relaxed about most things so I’d warn them and once they baited and flamed I’d warn again. Keep in mind I’d screen shot it all, however after that second warning I’d stop talking in the cbox and see their actions. If they continued making it uncomfortable for everyone else I’d ban them for a set amount of time. Then I’d post it in the staff forms stating what happened, showing the image and also state that I removed all the participants of the baiting and flaming who had ignored my kind warnings. Note whether it continued or not beyond me just stop talking but still watching I would have still posted it in the staff section. Showing the convo and allowing higher staff to deal with the members as they see fit.

It’d also allow others to discuss with these staff members under a calmer manner. Asking them why they acted that way and etc.

1) Not bad but you actually have to follow Chain of command. A mod isn't supposed to warn another mod, a head mod or Admin would have to do it.

2) Good good.

3) Also not bad. If the baiting and flaming turns to you it's usually best to get another staff member to do the actual removals so you aren't self-modding but about 99% of the time the logs will show that they should have been removed either way.

Not a problem asking the questions Shibu. Mod's have to get their hands dirty sometimes so we try and ask questions similar to this to check the capabilities. Also with your BMing experience you're pretty used to being fair and keeping a cool head. You have a couple things to brush up on but you're a fast learner. I think you'll do just fine.
