"Strange, bringing up that myth. I mean, there is a yôkai mentioned in the story, but it is more about the saving of his spirit rather than about the yôkai itself" said the male as the myth about Hôichi the Earless showed up at the screen.
"Mhm, but the story is quite old...perhaps that is why they show it" said the female and shifted a little. She raised her head, but made sure his arm was still around her torso.
One of the reasons they had come up with for the samurai's ghost action was revenge, while another said it was jealousy. Meanwhile, some short clips that featured different adaptions of the play came up at the screen. "I feel a bit sorry for Hôichi. It can't be good for a musician to lose his ears" said Marii and looked at Kininata again.
The screen then showed the woman again, and a smaller photo of another female demon came up at the screen.
"Hôichi might not be a yokai, but the story about ghosts that kills for revenge are not unusual. Which brings us over to the next topic; the onryô" said the amethyst haired woman with a serious voice.
The smaller picture then became larger and showed a woman in a white kimono top with long, unkept black hair. "Hey, is not that the woman from 'The Dread'?" said the young woman and raised an eyebrow.
"Several villages claims to have recorded the appearance of an onryô, the one with most genuine footage being Kirigakure.
One theory is the bloody era that they went through before the most recent war that ended for almost 4 years ago. This video clip is unsuitable for people below the age of 13" said the woman. After a 20 second break, a video clip started to play.
It was a footage of something that looked like a warehouse on the docks; several large containers were stacked on the top of each other. The Jounin narrowed her eyes and saw something move in the other end of the room.
A small woman, probably not more than 5 feet, stumbled towards a dark red container near the camera. The female started to shiver a little; there was something about this video that was too scary, but she could not look away.
The ghost came closer and closer to the camera. When it stood almost right in front of it, it lifted one of its hands. It grasped some of the hair that covered the face and the brunette looked away.
'I know that if I look at the screen now, chances are high I will have a nightmare. Kami, Kininata probably thinks I'm such a whimp. I'm a JOUNIN that's scared of ghosts for Kami's sake!' thought the young woman, her face now white as chalk.
