Amarante relaxed lake/river side with Hoshigaki and Uchiha. The three of them both decided they needed a break from their training for a while, it was to exhausting to be training like Amarante had been every single day so a nice bit of relaxation was just what the doctor ordered but like all things, it didn’t end up going like she had planned and training ensued.

A leaf flew and landed on Uchiha’s forehead giving him an idea. “Amarante do you know what this is?” the man asked with his sharingan still active, in fact Amarante had never seen it not active; it was weird in a way.

Amarante looked at the leaf and then at Uchiha, a sour look on her face. “It’s a leaf obviously” she replied to him, agitated at Uchiha’s stupid question.

Uchiha in return chuckled with a smile on his face. “Yes it is a leaf but in another faction it is also a very valuable training tool dependant on how you see it” he informed her. Amarante was curious as to what he meant and so gestured for him to continue with his statement.

“If you inject your chakra into this leaf, while it is in you hand, you can see what kind of chakra your body holds.” Picking the leaf from his forehead, Uchiha paced it in his palm and added his chakra. The thing went up in flames and quickly burnt to a crisp, Amarante’s eye wide in shock. “This way you can see that I am naturally a fire type user, though I also use lightning as you’ve seen, my body is more of a fire natural.”

The Great Hoshigaki also grabbed a leaf that had made it’s way down from the tree and held it though this leaf was dried out, having hit the ground a few days before by Amarante’s guess. The leaf then turned from dry to damp as Hoshigaki injected his chakra into the technique.

“What element your chakra has is all about your blood, your DNA. His chakra is a fire type because he is of the Uchiha clan, a clan held in high regard because of their fire style jutsu while I am of the Hoshigaki clan, a clan that is held in high regard because of their usage of water style jutsu.”

Amarante smiled. “A water user and a fire user, elements naturally at odds with each other and yet you two are best friends how sweet” she cooed causing a purple blush to appear on Hoshigaki’s cheeks. “Well then let’s see what type of chakra I have then shall we?” she posed, picking up a leaf.

As Amarante began to inject the leaf with her chakra she had Hoshigaki’s and Uchiha’s absolute attention. The leaf then began to get damp proving that she had a natural affinity for water but then the leaf also began to spark stating that she also held an affinity for lightning jutsu as well.

“Well I guess that I’m a bit more special then you two aren’t I, my chakra is naturally suited for water and lightning jutsu” she teased with a smile on her face earning a slap to the back of her head in response.

“Don’t get to full of yourself kid!” Hoshigaki then warned with a hit of condescendence in his voice. “Just because you’re chakra makes the leaf both spark and dampen doesn’t mean that Uchiha and I aren’t both able to perform techniques of other elements as well as you can. It just means that you’ve trained the two to an almost equal level so your chakra is both overpowering in lightning and water style jutsu.”

“Overpowering?” Amarante repeated in confusion. “Overpowering what exactly?” she then enquired.

“Apart from being able to mould both lightning and water jutsu my eyes tell me that you can wield wind chakra as well” Uchiha informed her. Amarante looked to him in astonishment with this. ‘Wind chakra?’ she never thought of being able to do that. “So how about you do some training to improve on that aspect of you chakra development?” Uchiha suggested.

Amarante nodded. “But how am I supposed to do that?” she asked, Hoshigaki holding up his hand in response, a leaf on top of it.

“Watch closely girl because I’m not doing this again” the blue man stated once again pissing Amarante off with his use of the word girl. The man then injected the leaf with more chakra now but instead of the leaf dampening the leaf was cut in half. “First off this is what will happen when you have wind chakra” he stated and then the leaf though being split in half began to rise from his hand. “Then you can make them float for more of a training session.”

Amarante nodded and then picked up her own leaf for an attempt at wielding wind chakra. The leaf she was injecting chakra into then began to char and burn, sparking with lightning chakra so Amarante stopped with that attempt and tried a different method of injecting her chakra.

This time the chakra began to dampen the now slightly charred leaf proving that her attempt was once again a failure. Another attempt was then made as she injected her chakra but this time it was an even bigger failure then when she had tried to form wind chakra before as the leaf began to dampen and spark at the same time.

Annoyed, Amarante clamed herself down and tried to build her chakra like she thought it would have to be melded if she were to form a wind style jutsu. The leaf then chipped a little though not all the way through like she wanted but she got an idea on how to do it.

She was focusing on making a knife or something with her chakra when she did this so knowing that she was on the right track she made a little adjustment and tried again as she picked up a different leaf. This time the leaf split in half really easily and broke into neatly cut halves.

So next up she had to make them hover, so injecting her chakra she managed to push the two laves of a leaf up in the air though it wasn’t without difficulty so she let the jutsu slip and tried again. This time the two leaf halves stay up in the air real easy and Amarante learnt to two basics of win chakra.

Suiton: Rikkido no Tori (Water Style: Liquid Bird)

Effect: Creates a large bird, larger than the user, of water.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: The bird cannot do damage.
Description: Creates a bird of water. The water acts as normal water, save for it being in the shape of a bird. It has chakra around its wings, enabling it to fly. If it were to give or take a hit, the water would act as normal water, and go to the area of lesser pressure, around the hit. The user can send chakra to whichever body part touches the bird, and use it to ride and fly. Must mantain teh handseal for the technque.
Limit: Must know Suiton no Jutsu (Water Release). Must know Fuuton no Jutsu (Wind Release). Must have a water source

“Pretty good Amarante” Uchiha complimented as the Great Hoshigaki gave a snort, unimpressed so far. “Though you still need a lot more training in the art to be able to say that you’ve truly mastered the art, right now you’ve barely even scratched the surface.”

“Which is where I come in” Hoshigaki stated, rising from the ground in front of her. “There are some water style jutsu that also require wind style elements so I had no choice but to learn the style as well. One of those jutsu is called the water style: Liquid Bird” the man stated, forming hand signs and jumping out onto the water behind him.

From underneath a giant bird then emerged from the water, the bird being twice the size of Hoshigaki. Hoshigaki held the ‘bird’ hand sign as the creature began to circle around the area with Hoshigaki atop it, Amarante watching in awe. She wanted to be able to do that to! It seemed awesome!

“The trick with this is that you need the wind style to provide the updraft for the beating of the wings of the bird” called out Hoshigaki as he continued to ride the bird. Coming in to land next to Amarante now he continued. “The adding of the wind style is by far the hardest part of this jutsu.”

Amarante nodded in understanding. “Now how about you show me the hand signs so I can give this jutsu a shot huh?” the young blonde posed with the great Hoshigaki complying with her request and slowly forming the hand signs so that she’d be able to memorise them.

Forming said hand signs herself Amarante crafted a bird of water from the lake/river in front of her though unlike Hoshigaki’s its size was miniscule in comparison, standing only about a foot off of the ground. Hoshigaki’s bird of water bent down to its eye level and looked at it curiously, Hoshigaki obviously being to one to make it do this.

The Great Hoshigaki gave a hearty laugh. “Hahaha what’s that, I said that the incorporating of the wind style element was the most difficult part of this jutsu but here you are screwing up the easy part” he taunted with a hint of amusement in his voice, said hint being incredibly large.

Amarante blushed. “Shut up! That was just my first try it’s just because I don’t know the jutsu!” A whip of water then formed in her hands and she lashed out at Hoshigaki with a great crack. “So shut up!” The miniscule bird splashed away and Amarante formed more hand signs for the technique.

This time a bird of equal size to Amarante formed itself and stood proudly though still small in comparison to Hoshigaki’s bird. “That’s better Amarante” Uchiha chimed in “But usually the bird is much larger then the user of the technique so it’s easier for them to ride so how about you make one twice as big” he offered.

Amarante nodded and let the bird of water melt away back into the water. She formed more hand signs and created a bird of water that stood at eight feet tall though this was still smaller then Hoshigaki’s bird standing at twelve feet tall but the size was now at least comparable.

“Next up you need to make the bird fly, using wind chakra to get in under the wings of the thing as it flaps, probably best for you to be atop the bird for this part of the training” Hoshigaki suggested, a smile still on his lips. Amarante may have made up for her mistake quickly but still Hoshigaki had no desire to let her forget she made it.

Amarante hoped atop the water bird whilst still holding the ‘bird’ hand sign and focusing her chakra. Next she made the liquid bird flap its wings, trying to get it off into the air. At first its flaps were nothing, Amarante’s training in the wind style still being very new but after a while the bird began to hover.

Amarante’s training in the wind style had a massive jump at that point and the girl began to move the bird higher and higher into the air. Soon she was riding the giant bird around in the sky with Hoshigaki, who was on top of his own bird. It was fun; Amarante could see the whole training grounds.

Amimono Mizu Nottori no Jutsu ( Web Water Capture Technique )

Skill: Ninjutsu, Offensive, Defensive.
Effect: Shoots chakra filled water from specific water source that uses web like properties.
Special: Handseals.
Drawback: C rank version of the technique can be dodged easily at longer ranges. Also constantly drains small amounts of chakra the longer they keep holding the jutsu. If an opponent/enemy uses lighting jutsu an electric shock can be sent through the web like water and electrocute the user. User cannot move a muscle while holding. Only has the amount of water equal to the shield of water when used.
Description: The user performs the three hand seals Snake, Dragon, Rooster, and extends their arms straight outwards. Utilizing the Suiton no Tate (Shield of Water) technique, water is shot out towards an opponent that's fused with chakra. The chakra allows it to thicken like an oily substance and become sticky as a spider's web. It is then used to reduce an opponents movements/speed and keep them from performing any more jutsus while held as long as the water has captured a limb or engulfed the torso. This means that it prevents them from performing hand seals and does Not disrupt chakra systems. Can also save a teammate, or it can be used defensively in a manner of catching secondary weapons in mid air. Though when chakra has been cut off it will disperse back into water. The C rank version of this jutsu can reach a max length of 10 meters. As for the B rank version of this technique its range is increased by 5 meters once learned, and increases in speed by half. Speed of the Technique is equivalent to throwing a kunai.

Having had fun flying around on her little eight foot tall birdie, Amarante decided it was time to take a break and as such, jumped off from atop her bird and dove into the lake/river below her, the bird disintegrating in the air and falling down like rain on the occupants below, A.K.A. Uchiha.

The man wasn’t impressed but at least Amarante was having fun… At least… He’d still have to get her back somehow but how? An idea came to mind then, an evil plan, a plan so evil it just may be considered down right dastardly. A plan so dastardly it may even be considered down right low. A plan so low it may just be considered high. A plan so high that the one who thought of it must be on drugs, wait he wasn’t on drugs? It’ll probably just be evil.

His plan was simple; hit her with a weak fire jutsu once she got out of the water, burning her a little but not much. Amarante rose from the water taking a breath and then he did it, a small ball of fire directed itself toward the unknowing girl, right on target.

The target never reached however as the water around Amarante reached up and protected her, the water shield technique protecting her automatically. ‘Damn’ thought Uchiha as Amarante turned to see what happened. ‘He thought her the water shield, he should have told me.’

Amarante screw up her face. “What the hell was that?” the young blonde asked, confused as to why the hell the water shield activated. Obviously it was protecting her from something but what the hell was it?

In an attempt to save himself, Uchiha spoke up to the Great Hoshigaki, calling him from the ground while the man was still riding his giant bird. “How much of the shield of water technique have you taught Amarante?” he asked. ‘Huh more?’ wondered Amarante as she was still hovering in the water away from the others.

“Not to much just the basic tech” Hoshigaki replied as he himself let his bird disintegrate though he opted to land on the water rather then dive into it as Amarante did. “Perhaps I should teach her some more?” the man pondered, knowing that Amarante’s answer would be yes but would his?

Amarante pulled herself atop the water in which she was swimming and ran over to Hoshigaki. “You better teach me more or I swear to god I’m going to use the lightning hound on you in your sleep!” she warned, with every intention of doing so if the man should not teach her.

Hoshigaki tried to calm her, putting his hands out in front of him. “Okay, okay I’ll teach it to you” he consented, forming hand signs and creating a wall of water in front of him. He then proceeded to form more hand signs and bring out a water clone of himself, the water clone acting as the person trapped in this scenario.

Hoshigaki formed hand signs and then thrust his arms out, the shield of water shooting forth and attaching itself to the clone, coating him in a sticky substance. The clone struggled in its constraints but it was all in vein, Hoshigaki’s jutsu proving to strong for even himself to get out of, well at least ten percent of himself.

Amarante managed to catch the hand signs the man formed (Snake, Dragon, Rooster) and accordingly she also created them, using water from her shield which had created itself to protect her from… Something… Earlier before, Amarante keeping it active as she thought it was serving some sort of purpose even if she didn’t know what it was.

She thrust her arms forward and tried to manoeuvrer it to crash into the water clone and captures him in the same though it was proving to be quite difficult. It wouldn’t move so Amarante decided to reform the hand signs and give it a second go, Snake, Dragon, and Rooster.

This time it moved and ensnared the water clone of Hoshigaki though it was much slower then the mans’ had been and it didn’t exactly stick when she tried to set it in place which was the whole point of the jutsu. She dropped the technique and created another water shield in front of her and formed the additional hand signs, thrusting her arms forward to ensnare the already captive water clone.

This time the jutsu stuck when Amarante connected with the water clone and moved as fast as Hoshigaki’s but though it was sticky it wasn’t sticky enough and even tied down as he was the water clone of Hoshigaki managed to wriggle free of the not so sticky water.

Amarante created another shield of water and formed the additional hand signs once more, sending out another stream of water to capture the water clone of Hoshigaki and this time it held more success. She managed to make the water stick to him and as the water clone of Hoshigaki tried to escape he couldn’t so Amarante had it good.

Letting the jutsu drop and crash into the water, Amarante turned to Hoshigaki for some more training.

Amarante walked along the edge of the river at her favourite spot, reminiscing of better times. It wasn’t to long ago that she was here training along side Uchiha and the Great Hoshigaki; even Strange Guy had a place in her heart for some reason despite their meeting being rather brief.

She’d probably have a chance of running into Strange Guy after a little while but she doubted that she’d ever see Uchiha and the Great Hoshigaki again; she was gone for too long, they probably thought that she’d forgotten about them. “Such a pain!” Amarante growled clenching her fist, a burst of lightning shooting out for a brief moment.

A gruff voice sounded behind her. “Well that’s an interesting technique you’ve picked up there” the voice complimented as Amarante’s eyes shot open. She was afraid to turn around in case that she was imagining what she was hearing but slowly she did indeed turn around and what she saw amazed her.

It was the Great Hoshigaki, carrying a large sword over his shoulder, and she could even make out Uchiha’s form in the shadows behind her. “But… What are you here?” Amarante asked, stunned at their being here. The Great Hoshigaki scoffed. “Well you our student aren’t you? Why wouldn’t we be? Jeez and after we waited this long for you to get here and everything.”

Hoshigaki clearly wasn’t very impressed with Amarante’s attitude but Uchiha seemed to be more easy going. “Where were you anyway?” the black haired man asked of her, stepping out from the shadows. Amarante’s expression turned sad. “Well it’s a long story” she began as she prepared to tell the men she admired most in this world her disgrace.

“Those bastards!” Strange Guy yelled in agitation as the group sat around the fire place, the green clad man apparently having formed a friendship with the two other shinobi in Amarante’s absence, after hearing Amarante’s story. “I’ll fucking kill ‘em” Hoshigaki also spat in distaste, equally pissed off. “If you were actually listening you would have known that she already did so” Uchiha commented causing Hoshigaki to stammer.

Amarante smiled. It was good to see the goofy man again after so long. Uchiha however seemed to have something else on his mind though and made a requesto of Amarante. “Amarante that jutsu before, what was it?” he enquired as Amarante stared back at him blankly. “You mean when my hand flashed? It was the chidori… Sorta. Usually it requires hand seals but I guess my emotions got a the better of me for a moment.”

She asserted and Uchiha was curious once again. “Would you mind trying to do it again for me?” he posed of the girl who shrugged in response. She began to form hand signs but Uchiha stopped her. “No I mean try and form it without the use of hand signs” he informed the girl.

Amarante was a little unsure but complied none the less. She began to concentrate on her hands and slowly built up some lightning chakra. She built up as much as she could and tried to expel it from her hand but the chidori didn’t form. The flash that she had managed to make before didn’t even occur which Amarante found a bit odd.

Judging by what happened then she should at least be able to make that same flash so she tried once again, building up as much lightning chakra as she could and focusing it all in her right hand but for a second time nothing happened and when she tried to expel it from her hand all that she was met with was nothing. It was a puzzling dilemma

Uchiha closed his eyes in thought. “Well then this is unusual” the man said aloud to himself though everyone could hear. “I wonder…” he trailed off as everyone else hung off his every word, the other three people very interested in what the man could have to say.

Everyone waited for Uchiha to speak but he just remained still in thought. Seconds felt like minutes, minutes felt like hours and soon anxiety built up until the most impatient of the group screamed in utter contempt. “Gr damn it, what is it?!” Hoshigaki screamed, proving himself to be the most impatient of the lot, surprising everyone (they all seemed to be on about the same level of impatience).

Uchiha snapped open his eyes and attempted to make a joke. “Oh sorry, I was trying to catch a bit of shut eye is all, didn’t think you were waiting for me to explain something” the man kidded with a serious look on his face though everyone could see through this. “Gyah you were coming to a realisation about the chidori, what was it?!” Strange Guy shouted before calming down a moment.

“By the way” Strange Guy began in a calmer tone. “What is the chidori?” he asked causing everyone to fall down. Amarante decided to be the one to bridge the gap and spoke up, forming hand signs. “This is the chidori she informed him as her hand became encased the in the chidori’s lightning ‘glove’ and began to glow white light.

Amarante didn’t remain immobile after forming it, despite the awe struck gazes of Hoshigaki and Strange Guy and the impenetrable gaze of Uchiha’s sharingan and she ran up to a tree line with blinding speed and destroyed them all with a swipe of her hand as she was running, cutting them down with ease as she ran past.

Of course throughout all of this Uchiha’s sharingan was active and he immediately learnt how to perform the technique himself; his level of sharingan mastery unparalleled. Amarante let the chidori fade away and spoke. “Fairly good huh?” she beamed as Uchiha took the initiative to speak up, the others still in shock that the girl they called student wielded such power.

“Yes Amarante, it is indeed very good” the sharingan user said, a smirk on his lips and a red hue in his eyes, the tome of the sharingan spinning in a swirl. “Ah don’t tell me-!” Amarante begun but was interrupted by Uchiha as he began to form hand signs faster then Amarante’s eyes could keep up with. A white glow then encased his hand with the all too familiar chirping that Amarante had grown fond of.

Amarante began to growl, pretty angry. “Gr damn it Uchiha you bastard, that was supposed to be my jutsu!”[/colour] she screamed, kicking Uchiha in a childish manner. The man in response just waved his hand causing Amarante to duck under the chirping blade of lightning and speak a little. “Come on, jealous much? You should know not to perform a technique in front of me”.

Amarante sighed. “You’re right, it’s my fault” she concurred before smirking and trying to light up the chidori without hand signs. “But if I learn to form the chidori sealessly… You won’t be able to copy that!” she screamed forcing as much lightning chakra into her right hand.

Uchiha smirked, his sharingan activated and also began focusing his chakra in his hand, lightning chakra to be exact and tried to reform the chidori, the man having dropped the last one he formed. “So it’s a challenge is it?” the man questioned with a big smile on his face.

“Well then I accept your challenge” he exclaimed as he himself tried to force the lightning elemental chakra out of his hand to make the chidori activate. Amarante also strained herself to do so but still found that she was having a lot of difficulty forming the chidori and couldn’t find the ability to expel the lightning chakra from her hand.

Strange guy and the Great Hoshigaki looked between each other and Strange Guy whispered into Strange Guys’ ear. “Are we just meant to sit here?” he asked of the man with bushy eyebrows. Strange guy shrugged. “Seems like it” he sighed, content with playing a secondary role once again.

Uchiha and Amarante both eyed each other, straining their arms to produce lightning chakra in an attempt to expel it from their body in a way that would form the chidori glove when it was. Both of them held an eye to eye gaze and a smile and were concentrating so much that sweat was dripping from their brows.

Strange Guy was watching a little disinterested and the Great Hoshigaki was over by a burning fire with a pot of stew on, it wasn’t his special stew just regular stuff but Amarante was sure that it was going to taste awesome. Amidst their stare off, Strange Guy decided to make an ill-advised comment.

“Is it really so important that you know how to perform the chidori sealess with Uchiha not knowing?” the green clad man asked. Amarante was interrupted from her training and stopped with the chakra building in her arm. “Is it really so important?” Amarante repeated, pissed off out of her brain.

“Of course it’s important! How could it not be important! You just don’t get it do you, this is the most important thing to me right now, nothing could ever be more important?!” she shouted to the man, walking up to him as she did so, in counter, giving Strange Guy no evidence to support her claim. While she was shouting and glaring at the man though, Uchiha managed to have some success and lit up the chidori for a moment.

It lit up in a bright white flash and gave of a loud buzz before fading out of existence. Amarante’s attention was diverted from Strange Guy and back toward her training. “No damn it! I was distracted by you and because of it I’ve fallen behind!” she shouted as she once again began to build lightning chakra in her hand, forcing herself to catch up to Uchiha.

Strange Guy walked over to Hoshigaki, who was still tending his little stew pot, and raised an inquisitive eyebrow. The Great Hoshigaki smirked. “Well when you think about it, it’s not really unusual for her to be all obsessive about the technique” the gilled man said to Strange Guy as Amarante once again becan to fume as Uchiha lit up the chidori once more.

“How so?” asked Strange Guy, unsure of the point that the Great Hoshigaki was getting at. Hoshigaki sighed. “Well… Think about it… After what that girl went through, she bound to be feeling rather weak, that chidori must be like a god send to her. To be given that powerful technique by the man that saved her from those freaks, it must have been her cushion.”

Strange Guy got an idea of what Hoshigaki was talking about. “You mean it’s her way to feel strong after being humiliated by that… situation” Strange Guy affirmed, Hoshigaki nodding in response. Strange Guy turned over to Amarante and smiled. “Well one thing is certain. That girl is a lot stronger then me, to be able to go through all that and still smile. She is indeed a rather strong individual.”

“She is indeed” Hoshigaki also commented with a smile as Amarante made some progress. As Amarante was focusing her chakra into her right hand and expelled it a white flash of lightning energy erupted and held shape for a moment before fading away. Amarante smiled. “Alright now I’m making progress” she exclaimed as Uchiha managed to also unleash the chidori from his hand without seals and hold it for longer before it faded away.

Amarante began to fume. “God Damn Uchiha Bastard!” she screamed as she began to refocus lightning chakra into her right hand. Uchiha smiled a knowing smile and also did the same. He was planning something but what? Amarante would know soon enough.

Amarante pushed with all her might, trying to focus as much lightning chakra as she could possible fit in her right hand and then expel it from her body. She had to do it, she had to beat Uchiha. She didn’t even care if he ended up learning how to do it in the end she just wanted to learn this one thing before he did so it would be ‘her’ jutsu and not ‘his’.

It was all that matter to her right now and as she strained to get a small spark, Uchiha seemed to be making more progress without trying as hard. “Damn it, just how god damn advanced with lightning jutsu are you?!” Amarante screamed as another spark left her hand in an attempt to distract Uchiha from his own training.

Succeeding. “I’ve been training with lightning style Ninjutsu for years” he informed Amarante, taking a slight pause in his sealess chidori training, Amarante trying to gain as much possible ground in this time allotted and increasing her training tempo. “I’m almost as fluent in the release as I am with fire so while you may be naturally a lightning style user, you can’t compete with me just yet.”

Amarante smirked as a flash of white light came from her hand and stayed there for a few seconds, a little bit longer then it would have on Uchiha’s end. “You can say that all you want but you know as well as I do… It’s easier to catch up to someone then it is to make progress” she said confidently as the chidori fazed away.

Uchiha’s eyes widened. He didn’t think she’d catch him so fast but then again lightning was her specialty, it wasn’t too surprising. He once again began focusing chakra into his hand and created a flash of white light that chirped and glowed for a few seconds before dying out.

Amarante on her end mimicked him and managed to make a chidori that lasted as long as he did and then once it faded she began building it up once again, as Uchiha had already begun doing. She had to make more progress then Uchiha, she had to learn it faster then him and master the technique before him.

Amarante’s arm muscles bulged and veins stuck out, protruding from the skin. A scream escaped her lips as she increased the level of power output she was producing, literally pushing her chakra network to its limit. “Ah!” she screamed as electricity sparked around her hand and erupted in a bright flash.

The chidori formed around her hand fully and remained there for a few seconds, chirping happily, until it faded away slowly. Amarante took a slight break and began panting as Uchiha watched on for a few seconds before continuing with his own training with the chidori. He was losing ground somehow but his sharingan was active so he was able to copy Amarante and catch up to her.

‘She was right after all’ Uchiha smirked as he lit up a chidori like hers. ‘It is much easier to catch someone then to make ground’. Amarante was exhausted for a moment but she had to keep training and try again. She once again began to focus chakra in her arm after she seen Uchiha perform the chidori at the same level as she just did a moment ago.

She couldn’t break away from this guy and she didn’t know why. It seemed as though every time she made some ground she ended up getting losing it so quickly it didn’t even count. She knew his sharingan was still active but she didn’t know if it was able to copy an unfinished jutsu or not though her best guess was that it could.

It was an unfair race but she had to fight past what Uchiha was giving her and succeed him. She pushed the chakra in her body out of her right hand and lit up the chidori fully once more and held it as long as she could. The strain on her body was once again vast. Trying to focus chakra into the chidori’s type was difficult without the use of hand signs but the benefits would be vast if she could end up succeeding in preforming it properly

Uchiha watched on as Amarante once again advanced with the sealess chidori, copying her with his sharingan. While he was proud that she was excelling like a true shinobi he did also find it to be a bit humiliating that a member of the Uchiha clan, a fully grown man, was losing out to a little blonde girl of only twelve years old. What would the other clan members say about this?

He had to push on further then her, he couldn’t loss this little game so he upped his own ante and began to really push himself, something he hadn’t done in a while actually. He pushed out as much lightning chakra as he could using his inner energy and producing electric currents with ease, a master of lightning jutsu in the truest of sense.

Amarante watched as Uchiha managed to once again leap forward with the chidori’s training and leave her in the absolute dust. Uchiha was now holding a perfect chidori in his hands and smiling. Amarante almost lost all hope until Uchiha decided to test out his fully formed chidori.

“I think a test run is in order here” he announced as he walked over to a nearby tree and plunged the chidori into the bark. The bark chipped and burnt to cinders but then the chidori un-expectantly cut out and fizzled, the chirping coming to a silence. “Well that was unexpected” Uchiha commented upon the situation, confused by what happened.

Amarante however knew exactly what happened, something that the sharingan can not fully comprehend and that is complete jutsu understanding. She began focusing as much lightning chakra as she could into her hand, calling upon chakra from her entire body, her entire core and converting it to electrical energy whilst going over what happened with Uchiha’s chidori attempt and what went wrong.

‘He managed to form the chidori yes but he couldn’t maintain it’ she recited as the electrical energy built. The chidori, even this sealess version, is learnt with three stages. Chidori molding, where an individual produces the initial spark, Chidori endurance, where an individual learns to maintain said spark, and chidori control, where someone learns how to fully perform the chidori with one-hundred percent power.

She knew this and it was her advantage. She wouldn’t give it up just yet so she kept it to herself and she formed the chidori spark and began to maintain it. The chidori kept chirping, straining her body to a fault but she managed to hold it. SO that was one half of endurance down she thought to herself before turning to the tree.

The next phase of chidori training, specifically chidori endurance, was being able to maintain it while the chidori was stabbing into something, in this case a tree like Uchiha had tried to do but a moment before. She ran at the tree as fast as she could and slammed her hand into the trunk as hard as she could to get as deep into the tree as she could.

Upon making contact the chidori managed to break through the barrier of bark fairly easy and began digging into the wood but didn’t completely cut all the way through and the lightning blade only cut about halfway through the tree before the glove dispersed. Her fingers were bent back and it hurt her a little but when she checked them out she found that they weren’t broken which was good she supposed.

She looked over to Uchiha who appeared to be engrossed in what Amarante was doing and evaluating her before Hoshigaki spoke up. “Hey the grubs up you two, come and get it while you can!” he announced and Amarante decided to comply. Food would give her an energy boost and with a nod to Uchiha, it was agreed that they’d have something to eat before continuing.

As both Amarante and Uchiha ate they were entertained by stories told by Strange Guy and the Great Hoshigaki about missions they had been a part of. They sounded amazing and very dangerous but yet they seemed to always prevail in these missions, else they wouldn’t be here she supposed. Amarante contributed to the conversations also but other then the KMP coup’ she didn’t really have anything special like them to contribute to the story session.

Uchiha however seemed to rather listen then be a part of the story telling but he seemed like the type that didn’t talk much anyway which was good in a way as it evened out the group with everyone else being the type of person that talked an awful lot. Something Amarante wasn’t the least bit embarrassed by.

After a while though both Amarante and Uchiha started up with their training again; the challenge or something still on. Amarante focused as much chakra into her hand as she could, once again using all the electrical energy her body had to offer to create a chidori without the use of hand seals once again. It was a very exhausting process to do this and she decided that it was probably to use hand seals when she could.

In combat situations though it was probably best for her to not to use hand signs or anything so she could have a faster reaction time, the reason behind learning this jutsu. The chidori forme don Amarante hand and she plugged it into a tree as fast as she could once again, cutting though the bark.

The chidori cut about three quarters of the way into the tree this time which meant that Amarante was making progress while Uchiha though seemed to be stuck once again. He couldn’t seem to maintain it through the strike he was making against the tree which meant that he still didn’t understand what to fully do but Amarante knew that it was only a matter of time before he found out so she decided to keep training.

She took a deep breath and exhaled, building up her chakra throughout her body and focusing it into her hand. The chidori quickly sparked to life and she was ready once again to plunge it into the tree. She brought her arm back and thrust it into the tree, taking out a large chunk of it and managed to almost pierce through to the other side of the tree, her fingers literally being just a few centimetres away from the other side.

A glance over to Uchiha and Amarante once again felt a bit pressured. He managed to dig about half way through the branch this time with his attempt which meant that he was finally beginning to understand what the jutsu entailed so Amarante’s advantage was fading fast. She didn’t have much time but she wasn’t giving up. She was so close to getting this jutsu down, she didn’t want to lose after being so close to winning.

She focused her energy once more, concentrating as much as she could and generating the chidori as the glove encased her hand. She felt good about this next attempt and so she plunged her hand into the tree, pushing it as far as she could and penetrating it from one side straight out to the other.

She’d managed to advance to the next level of the jutsu but when she glanced over to Uchiha she seen that right after she did it, he also managed to succeeding in penetrating the tree completely meaning that her advantage was now gone. She was on even ground with Uchiha right now, something that hadn’t actually happened throughout their entire training session.

Amarante moved onto the next phase as Uchiha watched on, not knowing himself if the training was complete or not. “The next part is using the chidori at one-hundred percent” Amarante said aloud, informing him that the training wasn’t over yet. She then summoned another chidori to her right hand as she moved a fair distance away from the tree, readied herself and then took off toward the tree once more.

She was moving as fast as she could, sprinting with great speed that even Uchiha as fast as he was would have to recognise and slammed her hand straight into the tree, cutting it down with ease. The tree creaked and fell down in a heap, almost landing on the small camp site Hoshigaki had set up.

“Think you can manage that?” Amarante asked through pants, the girl was now getting rather tired, like when she had first trained the chidori. Uchiha himself smirked as he rose up a hand and lit up the chidori with such ease that Amarante was jealous of him. “I may be able to give it a fair go” he said in a cool calm voice before he himself did what he seen Amarante do, the blonde grumbling as he did so.

As Uchiha displayed his attempt at using the chidori at one-hundred percent, and succeeding, Amarante growled. She didn’t want the man to be better at the technique then she was, it wasn’t how it was supposed to be. The chidori was supposed ot be her technique, the thing that separated herself from Hoshigaki and Uchiha. It was supposed to make her worthy of being their student.

She took it on the chin though, only taking that small moment to brood about it. She still had some time to make herself the superior with the technique and she took aim at another tree. “Don’t think that just because you performed the chidori once at one-hundred percent that you’ve mastered it!” she cried as she began focusing chakra in her hand again.

Lightning encased her hand and lit up like a Christmas light on chirstmas. “You’ve got to repeat it over and over and over until you can’t even move anymore, and then you’ve got to test its capability in combat” she smirked as she ran at another tree, slamming her hand into it like it was going out of style.

Uchiha just sighed; he didn’t really want to be doing so much work to master one technique but it was a great technique. He had no choice but to go along with Amarante’s training demands and lit up another chidori as well, intent on mastering it with as little effort as possible.

Amarante however was ready to go until nightfall and then until morning. She knew what hard works was and she was ready to put in the effort. After downing another tree she lit up another chidori and this time tried to cut it long ways down the middle, running along the branch, dipping her hand into the bark.

It didn’t work out the way she wanted however and her chidori cut out mid-way, not only that though, it also started a fire as a spark hit some of the leaves meaning that Hoshigaki had to use some water jutsu to put it out, not that he minded though. He liked using water techniques.

Amarante cracked her neck and went looking for another tree, finding one fairly quickly considering she was surrounded by them. She lit up another chidori, really feeling the strain on her body now that she was lighting up what had to be the thirtieth one of the day, and charged it down, downing the tree in one fell swoop and jumping out of the way as it fell.

The chidori she lit though faded away and she had to strain herself to relight it, listening as the white light began to chirp. She then took her aim and ran down the tree as fast as she could, dipping the hand into the bark and cutting long ways. Her hand, encased in the chidori, managed to slice through the tree and fully cut it in half and Amarante smiled. She decided not to track Uchiha’s progress anymore and instead chose to make her own way along using the technique, opting to try her hand at cutting the tree long ways again.

She focused her chakra and brought another chidori to life, her hand becoming encased in the chidori’s glove. She eyed another tree and took off, cutting it down again however she wasn’t done just yet. As soon as the tree hit the ground she chased after it and plunged her hand into it again long ways, cutting it straight down the middle again.

She smirked and took off in search of something else to cut, leaving Uchiha, Hoshgaki and Strange Guy to watch after her. She didn’t know where she was going or for how long but she did know she was going to master the sealess chidori, no matter what it took.

Amarante walked until she came across the lake she trained by and paused at the water. She’d never been over the other side before so she decided to go and see just what was over there and took a step on top of the water, using the walk on water technique to keep afloat.

She got an idea at that moment and formed hand signs for the water clone technique, forming six of them on the water in front of her. Her trail of thought; The walk on water technique will help me focus my chakra as I use the chidori, making it more difficult and the water clones will help me learn how to properly use the chidori in combat situations.

She lit up the chidori, taking her time in focusing lightning chakra to her hand and covering it with the chidori’s glove. “Alright guys, come and get me” she exclaimed throwing her chidori hand behind her, ready to thrust it out at a moment notice. One clone charged straight down the center making a B-line for her while another two crossed paths behind it and chose to attack her from the flanks while the other three clones formed hands.

Amarante had to move quickly and ran at the clone making the B-line for her and tried to predict its movements. It of course struck out with a punch as Amarante dodged left and pushed the chidori through its core, causing it to revert to water once again. At this point the other two clones were on her quite quickly and she had to move back out of the way.

She used a shunshin in reverse to dodge them and evaded them as the rest of the clones jutsu kicked in. One clone used the ‘Mythical Leviathan Waterball Jutsu’ and spat out a series of water balls toward Amarante who had a hard time dodging them all but managed to as she danced between the strikes, managing to keep the chidori active as well.

Another caused a wave of water to head toward Amarante to try and sweep her off her feet but the girl jumped up into the air to dodge however that proved to be a fateful decision as a shark of condensed water then shot out toward her from below. Amarante had little time to dodge so she had no choice but to defend using her chidori.

She came to the peak of her jump and began sailing downward at the shark, holding the chidori out in front of her. She then made contact with it but instead of being blown into a million pieces the chidori cut through the shark with relative ease and she avoided the worst of a potentially dangerous situation. She straightened up and landed on the water as the other two clones attacked her.

She backflipped however and slashed out at them with the chidori in a horizontal slash and caused them to revert back to water before taking charge at the other clones. The closest clone formed three hand signs and spat out a trail of water but Amarante ducked her head out of the way and kept on going, slamming her fist into its chest and downing it.

One of the other clones was ready for close combat fights however and kicked her, sending her sailing backward and causing the chidori to cut out. A ball of water was then sent out toward Amarante as she landed and she was forced to duck to the side to keep herself from being struck. The clones were forming their next attacks already however, content with ensuring that another chidori wasn’t created however Amarante was ready.

As a clone seeking hand to hand combat approached her with a punch charged and at the ready she shunshined in reverse again and evaded the blow. She then used all the electrical energy she could muster and charged up another chidori, coating her hand in the glove once again and hearing the familiar chirping noise.

She then shunshined at the clone, appearing in a flash with her hand through its chest and causing it to revert back into water however she wasn’t stopping and she shunshined once again toward the other clone who was forming hand signs and thrust her hand through its chest, causing the last clone to revert into water.

She let the chidori drop and sighed with a smile. “Well that’s that done” she beamed as she continued on her way to the other side of the lake to see what was over there.

As Amarante explored the other side of the she found herself at the foot of a mountain, boulders everywhere in sight. “Someone must have been practicing earth style jutsu here” Amarante rationalised as she looked around. She had to admit that while she was impressed at someones earth style prowess she also seen how this was going to benefit her own training, and not caring about the consequences, charged up her favourite technique, the chidori.

She looked around and found a strong looking boulder in her path, one she lined up and took aim of. She speed off toward the boulder, her hand of course coated in the chidori glove, and stuck the rock with her hand as hard as she could, chipping away at its strength. “Ouch fuck!” she cried in pain as her hand hit the rock.

She managed to cut into the rock fairly deep however the boulder proved to be denser than the trees she had practiced on before and as she hit it the chidori began to fizzle, leaving Amarante to only push into the rock with her hand which was indeed rather painful. She really thought that she could have broken her hand if the chidori had cut out but a mere centimetre before it had.

Amarante shook her head and sighed. She thought that she was better than that but it appeared as though she wasn’t. She eyed a weaker looking boulder and took aim once again. “Okay this time I’m going to pace myself here and attack the weaker looking boulders before the harder looking ones” she said to herself aloud.

She focused all her body’s lightning chakra into her right hand and began to expel it from her body until she heard the familiar sound of the chidori’s chirping, music to her ears. Her hand coated in the chidori’s glove and took off toward the rock and slammed her fist into it, managing to dig about half way into it before the chidori faded away.

“Okay, ouch again” she complained as she removed her hand. “At least I didn’t break it” she supposed as she moved a few meters away from the rock again to its side this time so she could try again. She focused lightning chakra into her hand again and coated it into the chidori glove as she heard the familiar chirping.

She then took off toward the boulder again and drove her hand into it, levelling out three quarters of rock before the chidori faded away again. “Okay, that’s progress I suppose but not finished here yet” she chimed as she went off in search of another rock. She lined it up and began focusing chakra into her hand again, this time she really had to make sure that the chidori she’d create was indeed much stronger than the last two times so she could plough straight through the rock.

She focused and took a deep breathe in and out before releasing a burst of lightning from her right hand and coating the limb in a thick coat of lightning chakra, hearing the magical chirping she loved. She then speed down the rock ground toward her new rock and cut straight through it with her chidori covered hand, taking out a big chunk of rock before running a few more meters and turning around.

She then ran down the boulder again and once again plunged her hand into the stone and took out another chunk however after this attempt the chidori faded and she was left to have to recharge once more. She didn’t break however and once again charged up the chidori as she charged down a forth rock.

The chidori then lit up rather quickly as Amarante was running on adrenaline from her efforts and she plunged it into the stone once more taking out another large portion of the stone, hearing a loud smashing noise behind her as she continued to run. She stopped her running and looked behind her, marvelling on the destruction she had caused.

Amarante was chilling out with the Great Hoshigaki, Strange Guy and Uchiha after she had finished up with her chidori training for the day which left her dead tired. The competition left off as Amarante being the loser as Uchiha managed to figure the technique out before her and used his superior skills to leave her in the dust and even figure out some more interesting techniques utilizing the jutsu.

She hated him for the fact that he was able to do what he did though she admitted that he indeed had a larger jutsu arsenal than her so he could be more creative than she could with his techniques. She had to catch up to him so she had him teach her some more techniques. “Teach me some more lightning jutsu!” Amarante demanded of Uchiha who had no choice but to accept her request as Amarante’s gaze was adamant.

He took her to a clearing in the forest, away from Strange Guy and the great Hoshigaki who were a little upset they weren’t privy to watch Amarante’s training but consented none the less. Uchiha then put his hands out in front of him and slowly formed some hand signs, bird-dog, as Amarante watched them carefully.

He then turned to a tree and lightning shot out of his finger as Amarante’s eyes couldn’t even trace them, and slammed into a tree and branched out into two trees right by it. Amarante wasn’t really impressed by the techniques power however she was impressed by the techniques speed, it was un-dodge-able.

She knew the hand signs so she didn’t need to have them explained to her by Uchiha nor the technique, she could also figure that out. She formed them and built up chakra in her hand and tried to shot out the lightning bolt from her index finger however all that she was rewarded with was a small spark of lightning that chipped out of her finger tip.

It was an embarrassing failure however she wasn’t going to give up on such a simple technique and she reformed the bird and dog hand signs before trying again and once again creating a small spark of chakra from her finger tip. She was really confused as to why this was happening though she had only been trying for a few seconds so getting angry wouldn’t help her much at this point, if at all.

She reformed the techniques hand signs and poured more of her chakra into the jutsu before trying to shoot out the small lightning bolt though the result was that it just sparked from her finger and shocked her, doing some minor but annoying damage. She at this point got mad with the jutsu, not herself, and was about to try it out again until Uchiha interjected and spoke with her on her methods.

“You’re putting too much chakra into the technique” he stated, gaining Amarante’s attention. “You’re so used to over charging the chidori that you’re putting too much chakra into this lower level technique. Please, ease up on the chakra usage and give it another shot” he requested as Amarante found his argument to be valid. She was used to putting so much chakra into a technique that it was possible she was putting to much into this one.

She decided to give using a lesser amount of chakra a go and she formed the hand signs. She lowered the amount of chakra she was putting into the technique and tried to shoot the bolt of lightning from her finger and had some mild success. The lightning bolt shot from her finger and struck a nearby tree and then spread out and struck the trees nearby inflicting some minor damage.

She felt as though she was getting close to mastering the technique already and so she formed the hand signs once again and poured a little more chakra into it though not as much as she did the first time she tried the technique. This time the lightning bolt struck out with blinding speed and struck the tree she was aiming for with the correct amount of power based on Uchiha’s attack and branched out and struck the nearby trees.

Things were going great with this technique so far but she needed a better test of the jutsu, one that actually struck something and that's when she got an idea. She snuck back to camp and hid as best she could so that Strange Guy and the Great Hoshigaki could not see her. She formed hand signs for the technique and designated a target for the jutsu. Smirking she fired the technique from her index finger and the jutsu sped off and struck the Great Hoshigaki's massive sword and branched out and struck both Strange Guy and Hoshigaki.

The men shouted as they were hit by the jutsu however Amarante wasn't done yet and she formed the jutsu's hand signs again whilst they were still unsure about her position in a tree by them. She laucnhed the technique again and shocked them again as the lightning bolt hit the sword and branched out toward Hoshigaki and Strange Guy however she pushed her luck to far and her position was given away and the men she had injured were mad. They charged her however Amarante was having to much fun to care about consequences and hit them with another lightning bolt though it didn't have any affect on them at all.

After a light beating Amarante returned to the clearing where Uchiha was waiting for her to continue training. She decided that she liked this new technique and formed the hand signs a final time and aimed once again at the tree and pointed her index finger. The lightning bolt then surged forth and struck the tree after-which it branched out and struck to more nearby trees. Amarante really liked this technique.
