Description: The user forms the hand seals, focusing chakra into the Sakurai petals around them. They then gather a length of the petals, molding the lightning chakra into a rope of sorts. The rope is then shot forward with the speed of a thrown kunai, attempting to wrap around the foe. If it does, it immediately begins to administer immobilizing shocks to the foe, holding them paralyzed for two rounds. This technique has a range of ten meters.

With her training of the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Bomb having gone well, Uchiha was about to congratulate her but was rudely interrupted by Strange Guy as he was pretty ecstatic about it. “Whoa nice one Amarante you nailed that one out of the park!”

‘I nailed that one out of the park…’ Amarante mused to herself with a pleasant smile on her face. ‘Alright I’ll take it’ she supposed. “Thanks but really don’t congratulate me yet I’ve still got to learn another B rank today before I can call my training a success.’

Uchiha clone took this moment to cut in. “Yes and I was about to brief you on that jutsu before someone else cut in” Uchiha spat, shooting Strange Guy an unappreciative glance, the man clad in green scratching his head in return with a goofy expression on his face.

Uchiha signed and then continued on with his explanation as Amarante let her Sakurai petals fade away, unsure on whether or not she’d be needing more. The shadow clone formed hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and he was soon surrounded by the jutsu’s blue and white petals of electricity.

He then decided to move away from the group for fifteen meters, probably as a safety mechanism, before facing Amarante and forming the new techniques hand signs slow enough for the girl to memorise.

The Sakurai petals then began to meld together, forming a rope of sorts and then shot out towards a tree about eight meters away from Uchiha as fast as a kunai knife and constricted around its form before sparking lightly. Amarante assumed that it was administering an electric shock with this movement and when it died down Amarante turned to Uchiha.

“So this jutsu is for trapping your opponent?” the blonde would ask with a hint of curiosity in her voice. “Seems as though it’s pretty easy actually, you sure this is a B rank technique?” the jutsu didn’t seem like it was worth the level of B rank, it seemed more like the C rank Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Sword technique.

Uchiha smirked. “Yes I thought that that’s what you would think but how about you just try out the technique, you’ll see how wrong you are” he beckoned of the girl as his petals faded around him.

Amarante was a little hesitant to do so but still she formed the hand signs and cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique around her, petals of blue and white being formed and dancing aimlessly.

She then formed the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique and began to form the petals into the rope she needed them to be but something was wrong. The petals wouldn’t form beyond that a rope of two feet in length and the melding of petals was harder then when she was using the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Sword technique.

The jutsu was out of whack and wasn’t doing what she wanted. She tried adding more chakra but nothing was working the rope wasn’t melding together. Uchiha smirked. “It’s more difficult then with the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Sword technique isn’t it?” the man jeered but Amarante had to agree.

Things weren’t so easy.

Amarante scrunched up her face. Uchiha was right it was a lot harder but why? Amarante’s thinking was interrupted by Strange Guy but not in a bad way he was giving her words of encouragement and Amarante liked it. “Don’t worry about it Amarante you’re sure to get this jutsu down before the days end I’m positive!”

Amarante smile her appreciation but Uchiha just rolled his eyes. He really didn’t want to keep hearing this Strange Guy’s voice. Her really didn’t even want him to be here. Come to think of it… Why was he here? “Excuse me… Guy?” Uchiha began getting the Green clad mans’ attention.

“If you don’t mind me asking, why are you here?” the sharingan user asked, Strange Guy in return looking at him confused. “I mean you couldn’t have come here intentionally looking for Amarante could you? You must have been doing something else before you came here.”

Strange Guy pondered the question for a moment before something in his mind snapped. “Oh that’s right!” he exclaimed jumping onto the branch of a nearby tree. “I’m supposed to be meeting some people in a training ground a little while from this one” he announced.

“I’ll be back a little later okay, right now I am late as all hell!” he shot Amarante and Uchiha a gleaming smile and then made his way out of the training grounds and over to another to meet with the unidentified people. Amarante was a little sad to see him go but he had stuff to do, she understood that.

Uchiha was however delighted to see him go for at least a little while; he did not enjoy the guy’s attendance. With her friend now gone Amarante decided to focus on the task at hand and formed the hand signs for the technique again, she’d only have enough petals left for the jutsu for one more attempt.

The petals merged together and while she made a little progress, Amarante still couldn’t get the rope to form together like it was supposed to, only managing to create a rope of two and a half feet in length. She was sure she could do better but really, what was hampering her progress?

Amarante then remembered the question she was mulling over before strange guy distracted her. Uchiha noticed this frustration of Amarante’s and so he decided to rile her up a bit. “Hard?” the Uchiha clan member asked his blonde student.

Amarante nodded. “Yeah it’s a lot harder then I thought it’d be but I don’t know why” she stated Uchiha smiled.

“Well that’s because this technique is different from the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning Sword technique, for example:” he began. “The hand signs are different, which is why you are experiencing such difficulty with the technique as you have so far as they make it harder to manoeuvre the petals.”

Amarante’s expression became confused. “Of course the benefit from this is that you can extend the jutsu further despite it being difficult meaning that you can utilise the technique to a further extant.” Amarante’s expression turned to one of understanding. “Of course there are also other aspects of this jutsu that need to be explained in depth but you’re not up to that part yet so don’t worry about it.”

Amarante nodded in confirmation. She understood what the guy was trying to explain so all she really needed to do was concentrate on how she was performing the technique. Casting the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning technique Amarante called forth hundreds of blue and white petals of lightning.

She then formed the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique and began to form the rope, fusing the petals together using her chakra. Things weren’t going well however and still she only managed to make another rope of two and a half feet in length.

She wasn’t deterred however. She’d make her progress and master the jutsu like she always did, she knew that.

With her training coming to a dead end, Amarante had no choice but to press on, trying to make the rope of the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique and as such she formed the required hand signs and tried to fuse the petals together.

The petals all converge into one point and began to meld and created a rope with a length of three feet this time and while it was progress, Amarante did not like how much it was and so she pressed on trying to fuse more together and extend the rope.

She pushed the chakra from her body as fast as she could trying to keep the technique going and extend the ropes length even further then what she had already managed. It hurt a little, the expulsion of chakra from her body, but she hung with it, continuing to meld the petals together and while it was painful she did make progress.

With her incredibly strained attempt, Amarante had managed to extend the rope a foot in length and create a rope of four feet but still it was far from what she needed to be able to do. This was a task involving chakra control not an excessive amount of chakra, Amarante knew that but still it was hard for her not to just add more chakra to extend her progress.

Uchiha wasn’t just going to let her do that however and he said as much. “You know Amarante you waste to much chakra when you are training like that” the man commented. “A good shinobi limits the amount of chakra they use when performing a technique they don’t use excessive amounts of it which exhausts them.”

Amarante scowled. “I know that!” she bellowed, forming hand signs for the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning technique to replenish her number of petals. She didn’t want Uchiha to diminish her skills as a shinobi so to judge her skills, she’d make a rope four feet in length by limiting the amount of chakra she put into the technique.

She formed the hand signs for the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints, using the petals around her to form the rope. They all slowly moved as she focused her time and energy onto making the rope four feet in length while using as little chakra as possible to make it.

It was very hard, Amarante kept thinking that she’d lose the technique and have it slip out from under her control but she still kept the jutsu going. Her concentration was completely engrossed in her rope formation and she lost sight of everything else around her.

All that existed to her at this moment was her and the rope she was trying to make. The petals slowly fused together and continued to enhance the ropes length and soon, though not without difficulty, the rope managed to reach four feet in length.

Amarante looked it over for a second before continuing. She’d have to continue her training and increase the ropes length even further, her next mile stone: five feet long. She managed to hold onto the jutsu and tried her very best to increase its length but now it was getting even harder then hard.

The jutsu began to slow down even from her already slow pace so she had no choice but to increase the amount of chakra she was putting into the technique and as such began to pump more chakra into it. Soon though the jutsu needed even more chakra so she pumped more in but it was getting back to the point where it was hurting to expel the chakra from her body.

Her chakra network was under strain now but she was almost there. She was at the four feet and three quarters mark now, just a quarter of a foot left. Her chakra network screamed for rest but she had to continue with her chakra discharge for the technique to make it to the level she wanted.

‘Just a little more’ Amarante commentated of her progress. The rope was inching closer and closer to five feet as she tried to increase its length, petals of Sakurai adding themselves to its length. One by one, petals melded together with the rope and soon the Constraint was at the length of five feet long.

Amarante dropped her chakra addition and collapsed to the ground. Damn training this technique was hard!

As Amarante tried to catch her breath, Uchiha walked over to her and offered her a pill of some sort. “It’s only natural that you’re so tired” he said to her. “You’ve been training for hours now, you’ve even missed lunch. Your chakra levels must be low by now.”

Amarante looked the pill over. It sort of looked like a ball of chocolate or something, she wasn’t exactly sure. “What is this thing?” the girl asked, confused by the items sudden but disgusting appearance. She had to admit, the way the thing looked didn’t make Amarante want to eat it.

“This is a food pill” Uchiha informed her. “It’s a tool used by shinobi to increase their chakra levels or as a meal replacement and with your missing lunch and low levels of chakra remaining it would help you in both fronts.”

Amarante turned the offer of the pill down and stood up. “No thanks, I need to complete this training without the use of a steroid or pill or anything of the such” she informed her companion. “It’s just not how I want to train so keep it, I don’t want it.”

Uchiha retracted his offer with a smile. What a silly girl Amarante was, sure she’d be cheating in a way but really she’d be able to master this jutsu faster if she’d just have taken the food pill. It’s not like it was a steroid or anything like she had said, it was a tool used universally for shinobi everywhere.

Amarante however was more content on building up her chakra supplies so she began on training her jutsu again. She estimated Uchiha’s lightning whip at about fifteen feet long while hers was only at five so she needed a lot more training with her jutsu.

Forming hand signs, Amarante cast the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning technique again to replenish her supply of petals once again, her previous jutsu attempts having drained them.

Next up was her forming hand signs of the Lightning Style; Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique. The petals in front of her began to form into the rope she wanted slowly at first but then they began to move more quickly. Amarante was confident in her abilities this time and as such she felt she could do things a bit more quickly.

Her confidence was rightfully placed however and she was able to form the five foot rope of lightning she had done previously much more quickly and even managed to extend upon that. She felt an even greater range of confidence once the rope hit seven feet in length and continued to grow.

The jutsu began to slow down at the either feet mark but Amarante pressed on with it and managed to hit nine feet before almost stopping completely in its tracks. It was exactly like when she was stretching for five feet now and so Amarante pressed on despite the burning sensation in her chakra network.

She pushed more and more chakra from her body trying to infuse more petals into the lightning chakra rope but things kept slowing down. ‘Just a little more’ another internal comment came to Amarante mind once the rope almost reach ten feet and once it did, Amarante fell to the ground and looked upon her work.

It was brilliant, it was almost there now she just needed a little more and then she’d be able to match Uchiha’s rope in length and then move onto the more subtle aspects of the jutsu. A quick glance over to Uchiha showed her that the man mimicked her confidence.

“That’s good Amarante, you’re almost at a point where you can begin to master the technique and all without the food pill as well. I must say I’m a little impressed.” Amarante smiled. She was being praised by Uchiha? How brilliantly awesome!

She couldn’t let him down so letting the jutsu in front of her drop she formed more hand signs and cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique to replenish her petal supply.

Forming the hand signs, Amarante cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and began to form the blue and white Sakurai petals into a rope of lightning chakra using her won chakra to meld them together. Once again she was moving at a mid speed pace and the petals began to take form in front of her.

The rope quickly began to form and move through feet starting at once foot, two, three, four, five, six, and seven. The jutsu began to slow down at this point, Amarante’s technique still not letting her push to far beyond it with her current level of training.

She at this point had to inject more chakra into her jutsu and did so though things were still hard for her to maintain. The jutsu reached nine feet and once again almost came to a stand still, Amarante having to strain herself to keep the jutsu going.

It appeared as though doing it once before wasn’t enough this time and she had to press on, injecting more chakra into her technique. The burn of her chakra draining came back to her again and soon it was beginning to take too much out of her that it was wearing her down mentally as well as physically.

‘No!’ she thought. She had to press on and do better then she did last time, even if only a little better it just had to be better. The jutsu reached ten feet in length and still Amarante pressed on. She was almost at her limit now but she had to keep going, just a half a foot more.

The jutsu stretched out and soon reached ten and a half feet more. ‘Can I keep going until I reach fifteen feet?’ Amarante asked herself in her mind. Things weren’t looking promising as of yet. It was probably just best for her to cut her loses with it now and then start up again so once the jutsu reached a length of ten feet and three quarters she let it drop.

Things were just too hard for the girl now and she began to pant, chakra exhaustion finally reaching her. She let the rope of lightning disintegrate into the air as she cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning jutsu again to replenish her petal supply again.

She thought about taking that pill Uchiha offered to her earlier but that thought only pissed her off. She could do it, she knew she could! She formed the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints techniques hand signs again and began to focus her chakra.

Frustration egged her on this time but luckily for her it didn’t start to get difficult to form the lightning rope until it reached a distance of ten meters and also luckily for her she was frustrated meaning that she still felt the burn of her chakra system as she continued to expel it from her body but she could process it better.

The chakra strain was heavy but Amarante pressed on and managed to create a rope of twelve feet but she kept going. She was almost there just three feet more, just three feet more. She reached thirteen and began to grunt in frustration. She felt as though she couldn’t keep it up any longer but she had to. She had to make the rope longer, make it reach fifteen feet like Uchiha’s.

Fourteen feet now and Amarante still pressed on. It was painful but she was angry, her short temper on display right now but still just one more foot, one more measly foot to go. “Damn it!” she shouted in anger pressing on with her chakra.

She was so close now, fourteen and a half feet and as another second went by she reached the fifteen foot mark and she rightfully dropped to the ground in exhaustion. She had earned it in her opinion, this was a really hard thing to do, and it required such precise concentration with there being so many Sakurai leaves.

Uchiha walked over to her, looking over her rope of lightning. It was of adequate length but there was just one problem he had with it. “Now focus on the amount of time it takes you to create the rope and then we’ll move on after that” he instructed, Amarante nodding in acceptance.

She stood up and performed the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique to increase the amount of petals around her again and then began to train how long it took to create the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraint techniques rope.

Hours later and Amarante had gained enough control over the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique for Uchiha to deem herself acceptable for the next step in training the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique.

In her defence however most of the time was spent resting at Uchiha’s demand because of her exhaustion but still it took longer then Amarante would have liked just to master a simple (well not so simple) B rank technique. She felt as though she was failing Uchiha but still the clone assured her that she wasn’t.

She couldn’t trust the clones’ words however but still vowed to master the jutsu much faster now. “So what’s the next step?” Amarante questioned of the clone, wondering two things those things being what the next part of the jutsu was next and just how much longer the shadow clone would last, surely the technique had a time limit?

Uchiha clone flipped his hair cool guy anime style and proceeded to explain the next part of the jutsu. “This is it” he announced forming hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique, the basis of the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints jutsu.

He then formed additional hand signs and created a rope of Sakurai petals fifteen feet long. The rope began to revolve around in circles for a while and Amarante kept waiting for it to do something though nothing else was happening. It just kept spinning around and around, nothing else of interest.

Amarante’s frustration began to boil and she shouted accordingly. “What what’s the next part of training?” she demanded to know, Uchiha in return just smiled pissing her off even more.

“But this is it” he insisted causing Amarante to look at him in a pissed of but confused kind of way. “Well maybe not exactly spinning to rope in a circle but controlling it in general.” The rope then went and coiled around a tree and began to shock it. “You see you have to coil the rope around an opponent so really you have to learn how to control the techniques movements so it does so.”

Now it was beginning to make sense to Amarante. She’d have to learn to control the techniques movements, makes sense though why Uchiha didn’t tell er that to begin with was annoying the crap out of her. Perhaps he really did just want to piss her off, not a good thing if he wanted to live after she’d finished with him.

Amarante formed the hand signs and created a flurry of blue and while petals via the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique. Nest up she formed the rope at a quick speed, Amarante’s training of the technique having paid off. Now all she had to do was control the jutsu using her charka. Easy enough.

She made the rope go back and forth, ‘wow this is fairly easy’ the girl then thought. Next she decided that she’d try and coil her rope around the tree like Uchiha clone did and so moving it over to the tree with the speed of a kunai knife Amarante tried to do it but as always something went wrong.

The jutsu sort of peeled away and didn’t coil at all, no matter how much she tried to do so. Something off, there must be some sort of trick to the technique that Uchiha was confident she wouldn’t find out right away so that’s why he was acting like he was.

Subtlety to the technique… There must be some small thing she had to do; looking to her companion for an answer she received a smile. That bastard Uchiha! Thinking he knew everything all the time, seriously that guy on occasion managed to piss her off more then Hoshigaki but at least not as frequently.

“Having trouble?” Uchiha clone enquired, smiling slightly as Amarante looked to him with an almost pleading expression. He knew she was why’d he have to ask, all it did was piss Amarante off. “Maybe I can help. You’re wondering why it won’t coil right?”

Amarante nodded. “You know what I’m having trouble with so just help me!” she bellowed, causing the shadow clone of Uchiha to chuckle.

“Hehe easy now Amarante here let me show you how it’s done” at his words his rope of Sakurai petals flipped into action having still been around and moved to coil around another tree. “You see you sort of have to pause the rope in motion as you’re about to coil at first” he informed Amarante.

“After that you should have a pretty good idea on how to continue to manoeuvre the rope to a decent level but practice makes perfect you know.” When he finished speaking Amarante began to focus on what she was doing now.

She thought about what he had said and acted on what she thought he meant. She moved the rope of lightning to a point where it was past the tree she wanted to coil around but still in line with it at the back. Then she thought of bending the rope or something, she just knew that she couldn’t do it all at one point and do it through the length of the rope.

The rope began to bend and she was able to coil it to a degree but it wasn’t to a good level but Amarante learnt a lot. The jutsu died down, Uchiha’s having done the same a moment before hers and so she had to reform hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and then another set for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique, forming another fifteen foot rope for her to use.

She thought she understood what she needed to do now and so she moved faster and constricted the tree quickly, Amarante having figured out the basic movements of moving the lightning rope. Uchiha clapped her. “Very good Amarante” he complimented.

Amarante didn’t have time to appreciate the compliment though as Uchiha began to form more hand signs, continuing on with the technique’s training and forming hundreds of blue and white petals around him via Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning jutsu.

He then formed additional hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and formed a rope of lightning in front of him and shot forward at the speed of a kunai. The rope then went on to wrap around a small tree branch but only the tip of the rope.

“Sometimes in a battle you have to take what you can get so learning how to just constrict part of the rope around something such as the opponents ankle is a must” the clone informed Amarante. The rope then proceeded to wrap around the branch completely and constrict further, electricity shooting off its form.

“Once you’ve established this small latch you can of course manoeuvre the rope to constrain around the opponent to a better degree” the clone of an Uchiha clan member finalised, Amarante nodding in understanding.

She quickly formed another whip of electricity and shot it out to another branch like Uchiha had done and quickly latched the tip of the lightning rope to the branch though she almost missed it. She then quickly continued to move the rope around the rest of the branch as it began to shock the bark.

Smirking Amarante congratulated herself on her success. She liked this new jutsu it was just a whole lotta work for something that seemed so simple.

Description: The user forms the hand seals, focusing chakra into the Sakurai petals around them. They then fling their hands forward, causing the Sakurai petals to spin and blast forward as a swirling cone of crackling petals. The petals shoot forward in a cone with a maximum range of twenty meters and a maximum width of ten meters. The swirling blast deals out shocks akin to third degree burning, as well as causes general paralysis for two rounds.
Limit: Must have Raiton. Must know Raiton: Sakurai Bakudan and Raiton: Sakurai Uzu.

Amarante woke up early in the morning again. After training the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique she had fallen asleep pretty quickly with the clone of Uchiha stating that he would look out of Strange Guy if he did manage to come back.

Reaching the rock that Uchiha and Hoshigaki sat upon the day before she wasn’t surprised to see that the two of them were still there, they’d been sitting there for a long time now it was sort of annoying. Were they even eating or going to the bathroom? Questions best left unanswered.

Despite still having his eyes closed, Uchiha noticed Amarante’s presence and spoke. “He did not return” the sharingan user commented, drawing Amarante’s attention. “The strange guy… Clad in green… He did not return.”

Amarante sighed. She didn’t really care if he did or not, really all she wanted to do was test out his strength at most, she didn’t exactly care about anything else as long he was strong. What could she do in the meantime though? She seemed to feel as though she could train a little bit today. She felt refreshed despite it being her second night camping out at the training grounds.

“Hey Uchiha” she beckoned, gaining the mans attention. “How about we continue with the Sakurai Training again today?” she posed; Uchiha pondered it for a moment before forming a hand signs and creating a shadow clone.

The shadow clone approached and spoke to Amarante. “Very well let us go then” he beckoned, signalling for Amarante to follow. The clone lead Amarante to an opening a fair distance away from the Great Hoshigaki and Uchiha most likely so they wouldn’t be distracted by her training.

The clone then stopped and looked at Amarante. “Now this next jutsu I’m going to teach you is called the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique” it began. “It is an A rank jutsu and very powerful but that also means that my demonstrating the technique for you is limited to a certain number of times.”

Amarante looked confused. “And why’s that?” the girl enquired.

“Shadow clones only have a limited amount of chakra, the chakra spread out evenly amongst the user and however many clones they have created” the clone explained. “And my original chakra levels were not what I would call impressive so I can not perform the technique that many times.”

Amarante nodded in understanding. She understood what he was saying, it was probably just because that he was so strong that he was able perform an A rank technique more then once, Amarante doubted that she’d be able to do that. Come to think of it how long would it take her to master this technique?

She mastered the Astral Projection technique in a few hours but somehow she thought this one would be a little harder. Uchiha clone decided that he’d move on with his technique demonstration and so he performed hand signs and cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique for the basis of his jutsu.

He formed additional hand signs slow enough for Amarante to see and memorise but he didn’t cast the technique yet. Instead he walked away, ten meters away from Amarante, faced away from the girl and formed the techniques hand signs, flicking his hands out at the end of the set.

The petals in turn began to frenzy, spinning forward and creating a large cone shaped prism of absolute destruction. The technique reached out twenty meters in length and ten meters in width and created a sound that almost chilled Amarante to the bone.

It was so strong, it scared her even. When the technique was over, Uchiha clone beckoned for Amarante to give it a shot so she cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique around herself, still in a shock like state and faced away from Uchiha.

She formed the additional hand signs and tried out the jutsu trying to spin the petals in a cone shape but they weren’t responding properly. They’d jut around when she tried controlling them and they’d dance aimlessly when she didn’t. It was almost impossible for her to control them but she persevered.

She tried spinning them again and had some minor progress, being able to spin them slowly but the attempt lacked the power the jutsu held. It was more over just a spinning sensation within the petals, nothing was really going to well.

Her jutsu attempt proved to be a failure. The petals wouldn’t move fast enough no matter how hard she tried, they’d just rotate in a small circle and not spin at the speed like she needed them too they just didn’t have it in them for some reason.

Soon the jutsu died down with the time limit of the Sakurai petals expiring and Amarante turned to Uchiha. “There isn’t a trick or anything to this jutsu that you could tell me so that I’d be able to master this technique in like… A minute is there?” the young girl asked.

Uchiha clone smiled endearingly and chuckled in a soft, light hearted tone. “No Amarante there is no quick and easy way with this jutsu” Uchiha clone informed the girl. “You’ll just have to train hard like a good little student for once in your life.”

Amarante scowled. She was a good student and she always trained hard, jerk Uchiha clone bastard, she’d show him. Maybe if she waited until he was asleep and stabbed him while he was in said sleep he’d learn some manners… Nah he’s been awake for two days straight now, he’d win in that situation.

She’d just have to best him by learning this jutsu and working hard, that’d show him… Maybe… She formed hand signs and cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique for the basis of her technique and began to form some more for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique.

“The Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique requires you to spin the petals of the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique at a fast rate and blast them forward as a swirling cone of crackling petals” The clone of Uchiha recited as Amarante began with the technique.

“The lightning at that point would deliver third degree burns if anyone was unlucky enough to get caught in the blast.”

Amarante listened to all of this as she struggled to get her jutsu revolving at the right speed. It was still lagging in its creation and was absolutely much to slow, someone would be able to evade it easily if Amarante set this thing after them. She tried and tried with all her might but she just couldn’t get the damn thing to revolve correctly.

The jutsu hit its expiration length and faded away causing distress on Amarante’s part. She was trying really hard but the damn thing wouldn’t speed up even a little. Her efforts were going in vain but then a thought occurred to Amarante. What if she tried to channel the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Swirl technique?

It was worth a shot at least, this technique and the other both seemed to have similarities and Uchiha did say yesterday that the C ranked variations of this technique were the basis of what she was trying to do now. Performing the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique, Amarante resupplied her petal supply.

With the Swirl variation in mind, Amarante cast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique and tried to rotate the petals at a faster rate. The petals sped up more then they were going before but still it wasn’t fast enough for Amarante to call the jutsu a success so she tried harder and harder.

The jutsu whipped up and rotated even faster then it was before but Amarante doubted it was even half as fast as the technique Uchiha had been performing, it was probably only about a quarter of the speed. Letting the jutsu die down, Amarante readied herself and tried again, this time she was aiming to nail the jutsu down perfect.

Her proficiency with the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast jutsu was improving but she was still very far from being able to say that she’d mastered the technique. Forming more hand signs and casting the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Amarante prepared herself for another attempt at the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique.

She formed the additional hand signs she required and swept up the blue and white petals that had surrounded her in a swift spiral. The speed was once again at about a quarter of what she needed it to be so she injected more of her chakra into the technique and tried to further its speed.

She made some minor success but really it was all just a bit to much for her, the drain on her chakra net work she a bit to great for what she was doing even if it was an A rank technique, it wasn’t nearly complete yet, so she stopped for a moment to collect her bearings.

Uchiha clone spoke up. “That was a wise choice ending your jutsu there” it remarked. “You would have lost control of the jutsu if you continued on like you were, it didn’t look like it was going well.”

Amarante looked over to him with a look of thought on her face. “Yeah I was thinking that it wasn’t exactly going well but I thought I’d retain control over it. I guess it was just luck that I decided to drop the technique” she rationalised but Uchiha (clone) didn’t exactly share the same opinion she did.

The him (it) Amarante just displayed a natural affinity for lightning, perhaps she would be a master of lightning? He’d make a note of testing her with this skill later on but for now he didn’t have the energy reserves. Besides he didn’t think that Amarante would want to divert from her training of this jutsu anytime soon for anything.

He (it) doubted even a tornado would stop her, what a reckless girl his student was. As Uchiha clone was in its trail of thought Amarante had already recast the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and her form was already veiled by hundreds of blue and white petals.

She was already beginning to form the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique now and the petals all began to swarm in front of her and rotate in a vacuum of petals creating a cacophony of crackling lightning which swept up and increased its pace.

The techniques speed was now at about half of what she thought she needed it but she wasn’t exactly one hundred percent sure. She was so shocked when she seen the jutsu that she sort of zoned out and that was just the A rank variation, imagine the S rank. She’d have an absolute source of power; Kusa would be destroyed with her power.

She was grateful to have such amazing teachers, she wanted to thank them somehow but really what would she get them? The best gift in her opinion was that she would learn everything they taught her and become as powerful as she could possibly be. That was the best gift any student could give their teacher. It emphasises how great a teacher they really.

Amarante increased the speed of her jutsu with this thought and inserted more of her chakra, maintaining as much control as she possibly could amongst all the chaos. The sound of crackling petals was loud and it drove Amarante on, making her want to increase the jutsu’s speed.

The technique swirled and increased its pace on Amarante whim and spiralled into a small cone that screamed with power. Amarante smiled, she was making so much progress already but still she thought she wasn’t even half way through her training.

With Amarante now having been able to form the basic shape of the cone and having enough speed within the basic cone, Uchiha thought it was as good a time as any to have her progress in her training and approached the girl, letting her jutsu die down before continuing to speak with her.

“That’s good work Amarante” he complemented, allowing the girl time to turn and face him. “Now on to the next phase of your training which will be increasing the size of the cone you’ve created.”

Amarante thought back to Uchiha’s jutsu. It was massive in comparison to her own. Its size was that of twenty meters long, Amarante’s was only a measly one meter at best and Uchiha’s was also ten meters wide, Amarante doubted if hers was even fifty centimetres wide. In comparison, Amarante could see where she was lagging but still she felt as thought there would be more for her to do once she matched it.

Uchiha’s seemed to have a much more powerful base to it while Amarante’s seemed to lack it. Was it because hers was so much smaller in comparison? Possibly but there seemed to be a lot more to this jutsu other then just a cone of Sakurai petals that was for sure.

As she formed the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique to set up her basis for the A ranked technique again as Uchiha continued to explain. “I suggest you set mile stones for you training so you can reach them slowly one by one” Uchiha posed.

Amarante brushed him off though, she knew what she was doing and what she was doing was exactly that. Her mile stone count was as follows: Five, Ten, and twenty length wise and width wide it would me two, five, and ten. It was all a well thought out process which had the benefit of only taking a second.

Forming the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique’s hand signs Amarante cast the jutsu, infusing her chakra into the petals in the air around her. The petals in turn flooded to a space in front of her and formed a cone of lightning one meter long and forty centimetres wide.

She had to increase this length to five meters, five meters and then she’d be happy. She injected more chakra into the technique and increased the techniques length, inch by slow inch. The jutsu reached two meters long before reaching it’s length limit for this attempt and so Amarante decided to just let the jutsu die and try again.

She formed the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique around her, blue and white petals veiling her form, and formed the additional hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique, flinging her hands out in front of her.

The jutsu was one and a half meters in length at first and seventy centimetres wide but Amarante had to make it longer and inched it forward by adding more of her chakra into the technique. The jutsu slowly reached her record of two meters and then kept going her control getting better.

It reached out and hit the three meters mark but Amarante tried to make it grow longer all the same but it pretty much stopped at the three meters twenty one centimetres point, holding up Amarante’s progress. She still tried to make it grow longer but it wouldn’t work no matter how much she wanted it.

Uchiha clone pipped up. “Do you want to know why it’s not getting any bigger?” the man asked her, Amarante nodded. She really wanted to master this technique, so much. She wanted it under her belt she felt as though she’d become a much stronger shinobi after just learning this one technique…

Amarante looked to the clone of Uchiha for an explanation to why her jutsu was at a dead end in training. The clone seemed to know why she was failing to hit her mile stone so she was all ears to why she was doing so, she was confident that the sharingan would be a useful tool in training, if only she could get one for herself.

“The reason for your failure is simple” the clone stated, Amarante getting a bit pissed at his word choice. “For the jutsu to reach further, you need to extend the width in line with the techniques length. Simple really” the clone finalised giving a shrug.

It really was, Amarante could have figured that out on her own but really why didn’t she? It seemed pretty obvious in her opinion so she formed the hand signs and created the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique to refill her Sakurai petal supply, blue and white petals encasing her form after this action.

Next up she focused her chakra and began to form the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast. The petals in front of her began to sweep up in a cone shape and crackling began to sound in the air, the jutsu beginning to power up with electricity.

The cone was two meters long to start with and with Amarante’s focus on improving the techniques width meant that the jutsu was a meter wide at creation. When she’d train the technique this time, she’d keep things in proportion so she wouldn’t have to keep stopping to improve the balance between length and width.

Each had their own importance so she’d have to train them equally; it wasn’t something she wanted to do. The jutsu grew to three meters in length and Amarante had a hard time controlling the width of the jutsu but still managed to bump it up to one and a half meters in width.

Problem was that when she did that the rotation of the petals slowed so the technique lost power. She wasn’t efficient in the jutsu so before she could even think about making it bigger she had to work on speeding up the rotation of the petals again but how?

She’d have to inject more of her chakra now but that would just mean the technique would speed up for this length and not for the whole duration of the technique. She’d have to keep the training going in three parts. One: She’d increase the techniques length and width, Two: She’d increase the techniques speed, and Three: She’d repeat steps one and two.

She increased the technique to four meters long and two meters wide and the technique slowed down in response but then stage two came into play. She injected more of her chakra into the technique as a way of compensating for the lack of speed in an attempt at making it faster.

This worked but only to a degree, she’d have to control the jutsu better so concentrating more Amarante focused on what she was doing and tried to speed up the already existing chakra in the technique. The technique spiralled and sped back up to the pace she needed.

Next up she increased the techniques length to five meters long and two and a half meters wide, the jutsu slowed once again but Amarante was ready and injected an additional small amount of chakra so she could speed it up once again, the jutsu reaching the target speed that she wanted.

Things were getting easier for this jutsu, Amarante was glad. She may just master this technique by the end of the day but it was still just ten in the morning, the day was still young. There was still hours to go with her training.

Letting the jutsu drop, Amarante took a moment to catch her breath not knowing that it would be the most interesting moment in her life… Okay it wasn’t that interesting but it was interesting… Okay it wasn’t interesting but it was mild.

Something stirred in the trees behind Amarante and Uchiha, both shinobi (one a clone though) readied a weapon and took defensive postures. Their guard though seemed unnecessary when a familiar face emerged from the tree tops and landed on the ground in front of them in a…Flamboyant way.

“Ggggreetings fellow shinobi I return fulfilling my promise of doing so” the Strange Guy in green commented as he landed. “I’m sorry it took me so long but I felt so bad that my team had to wait so long for me to go and see them that I trained them until late into the night and so I decided to go home and get some sleep not wanting to wake you from your slumber.”

The Uchiha clone strained a disgruntled look; he really did not like having this guy around. He was just so god damn weird, how the hell could Amarante even stand being within thirty meters of this guy let alone even dare to speak to him? Even if there was no one else around it was embarrassing.

“That’s great Strange Guy but really you’ve caught me in the middle of my training” Amarante shrugged off, the man feeling a little unappreciated in return but he was strong enough to move past it in fact he was ecstatic that she was so committed to her training, he loved to train, maybe she could be a training partner?

“So then Amarante what technique are you training today?” the guy asked. “Are you still training the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Constraints technique?” he then enquired.

Amarante formed the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and gave herself a base point for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique. “No I’ve moved onto the A rank technique now; the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast jutsu.”

Strange Guy’s eyes bulged open in shock. “You’re already up to training the A rank version of the technique?!” His voice and question seemed to piss Amarante off. Where was all that confidence he had in her yesterday? Such a fickle man handing out compliments and encouragement but not believing in her, jerk.

Amarante discarded the strange guys’ rudeness and quickly continued on with her training, forming the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and created a cone of lightning petals five meters in length and two and a half meters in width straight off the bat.

“You’re already up to that point in training?” the strange guy exclaimed in shock. Amarante continued to ignore him as she tried to make the cone bigger. She stretched it out to six meters long and three meters wide and the pace of the technique didn’t seem to slow any so she kept going.

She pushed it out to six and a half meters long and three meters twenty five centimetres and then the jutsu had a deep cave in its speed, halting Amarante from increasing it any further. She focused on making the technique go faster but it wasn’t working properly so she added more chakra into the jutsu.

This made it work yes but if she continued this up she’d be exhausted in no time. Was that the power of an A rank technique? She remembered her training with the Astral Projection and now that she looked back on it, she really did have to use a lot of chakra, even more so with this technique as it was used for attack.

Adding more chakra into her technique, Amarante managed to increase the techniques speed but not without a cost to her chakra reserves. The drain on her at this point was intense and to think that she wasn’t even half way through to making the jutsu truly hers was just impossible.

The amount of chakra this technique would need seemed to be colossal or perhaps that was just the training talking. Either way she felt as though she’d be drained by the time the day was out, whether she mastered the jutsu or not though she hoped it was the former, she didn’t like getting sweaty for nothing.

Continuing with her training Amarante pushed the jutsu out to seven meters long and three and a half meters wide with the techniques speed not dropping thankfully so she pressed on to eight meters long and four meters wide which proved to be different then seven meters.

The jutsu speed dropped rapidly again so Amarante added more chakra to stabilise it again before deciding to drop the technique and take a break. She was almost half way through to making the jutsu hers but she was already tired, sweat dripped from her brow in the morning sun.

Taking five, Amarante made some small talk with Strange Guy. “So strange guy you’re a team leader huh? Me too, what’s your team like?”

Rather then answer the questions; Strange Guy’s eyes began to bulge in shock once again. “You’re a squad leader?!” he exclaimed in question, finding it very hard to believe that a twelve year old blonde girl would be allowed to lead a team of shinobi in missions.

Amarante nodded though. “Yeah in fact I just came back from leading a mission not to long ago” (mission still actually in progress right now) she informed him, strange guys’ world then caved in around him and he dramatically fell into a depressive slump. How, how could the leaf village think that this girl front of him was just as reliable as he in leading a squad of shinobi, how?

“That enough talking Amarante breaks over” the shadow clone of Uchiha stated causing the girl to look to him in distain. Her attempts of weaselling out of training for a moment failed however, Amarante’s puppy dog eyes failing to sway the mans determination.

With a sigh, Amarante formed the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning to give her a basis for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique. She then formed the additional hand signs required for the technique variation and flicked her hands out in front of her when they were complete.

A cone of eight meters in length and four meters in width then produced itself in front of Amarante at her whim, the Sakurai petals forming a swirl of lightning. The girl then pressed on for the technique to grow in size and pushed the technique out in front of her a further meter, adding another fifty centimetres to its width.

The cone of lightning petals was now nine meters in length and four and a half meters in width and the speed was going good but as soon as she tried to increase the length it dropped dramatically once again so Amarante had to fix this before continuing else to jutsu would fall apart.

Injecting more of her chakra she managed to bring the techniques speed back up to par and continued on with her increasing of the techniques size and pushed the technique forwards another meter, trying to keep its speed going as fast as she could. The technique was now at a length of ten meters and a width of five and Amarante felt good about herself.

Her jutsu was now at a length of ten meters and was holding strong but Amarante knew that she had to make it bigger, make it stronger and so she tried to lengthen it further but the jutsu slowed down considerably as soon as she tried and quickly slowed to a pace where it couldn’t help but fade away.

Amarante was stunned as to why it would do this but then she quickly realised why it did. Her chakra was really low at this point, she couldn’t continue on with a pace like it had been for much longer and now that she thought about it, it was actually really hard to move her arms, they must be suffering from the constant expulsion of chakra.

‘Typical’ the young blonde mused silently to herself. Just as soon as she hit her second mile stone out of three she hits a point where she has to rest before she could continue but she didn’t want to rest. She wanted to keep going, she felt as though she was so much closer to becoming stronger.

She painfully raised her arms and formed the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique, creating hundreds of blue and white petals around her, each one ripe with electrical energy.

Uchiha seemed worried about his students’ welfare and spoke up. “Amarante are you sure you want to continue?’ he asked her with his tone being nervous. “You know you could do serious damage to you chakra network if you keep pushing yourself so hard, most people usually take two or three days to learn a new technique and you’re trying to push it into one.”

Amarante shook her head an assured the man that she was fine. “I know how much my body can handle and it will handle this, I’ll make sure of it.” Her words may have been confident but her thoughts weren’t. As confident as she sounded she still had doubts about this training, she though for sure that she’d pass out or something if she kept at it for to much longer.

Electing not to think about it Amarante formed the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique and with a flick of her hand she whipped up the Sakurai petals in a swirl and created a cone ten meters in length and five meters in width. Amarante smiled at this, progress, she was making it but she had no time to smile about it now, she had to increase its length as fast as possible.

Her Chakra was wavering and she was beginning to feel that wonderful feeling that she always felt when her chakra network was under strain, that glorious burning sensation that drove her wild. She pushed the jutsu forward, reaching a meters in the process.

Her jutsu was now eleven meters long and five and a half meters wide but she had to keep going, the jutsu wasn’t slowing down so she had to keep going. She pushed it out another meter, making it twelve meters in length and six in width, but the techniques speed began to drop at this point.

Taking the initiative to fix this before it became a problem; Amarante focused on making the jutsu spin faster and injected as much chakra as she could into the technique before she felt as though she couldn’t do so anymore. It was now stable but still Amarante had to keep going.

Her arms were getting numb but still she pushed on, the jutsu managed to hold together once she reached thirteen meters in length and six and a half meters in width and it even held at fourteen meters long and seven meters wide. Well then there was one more point she thought she could reach before the drain on her became to much she supposed.

Amarante pushed her technique out another meter to fifteen meters and then technique held, to her sheer joy but arms were in so much pain so she dropped the jutsu hoping that she didn’t damage them too much or at least not to much that she’d have any permanent damage or the like.

She fell to the ground and began to pant, Uchiha clone walking over to her side. “That should be enough for a while, take a break Amarante. You haven’t even had breakfast yet so how about you go and grab something to eat” he said, bringing a smile to Strange Guys’ face.

“Well in that case how about you let me treat you to a meal then, consider it a thank you for helping me bring in that animal abuse case” the green clad man posed, Amarante was quick to take him up on that offer.

“Yeah okay but just let me call in at home first, I need to take a shower, I haven’t left the training grounds for like two days now. I’ll probably have to inform the Hokage where I am as well, my team would probably be getting worried about me” Amarante said as she walked with Strange Guy out of the training grounds.

Uchiha clone just disengaged in a puff of smoke at their exit, informing the two of them that he’d be finished by the time Amarante returned, Amarante in turn having to explain what he meant by that to strange guy as she left.

A few hours later Amarante was bathed and fed, having dined at a small café with strange guy for a while and she was now ready to continue with her training. She formed hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning technique and immediately felt the strain from chakra loss return to her.

“Guess that I’m not as recovered as I thought” said Amarante as she walked with strange guy in the training grounds looking for Uchiha and Hoshigaki.

The man replied. “Chakra takes an awful long time to replenish so it’s not a surprise that you’re feeling the drain so quickly though you’ll definitely have at least a little more energy” the man in green said. Amarante nodded and ran ahead of strange guy, forming the hand signs for the Lightning Style: Cherry Blossom Lightning Blast technique.

“The Great Hoshigaki and Uchiha will find us sooner or later anyway so I’m just going to start training now” the young girl said, Strange Guy looking awkwardly to the girl as she said the name ‘The Great Hoshigaki’. ‘That girl and her nick names, I tell ya’ the man inwardly thought, unknown to him that it wasn’t a nickname she gave him but rather one he gave himself.

Amarante flicked her hands out in front of her and whipped up a cone of fifteen and a half meters in length and seven meters and three quarters in width. She was happy that her rejuvenation had helped her so much, she remembered struggling in chakra depletion to make a cone this long at first but she quickly focused on what she had to do.

She had to make it longer so she focused more chakra into the technique and lengthened it to sixteen meters long, eight meters wide. Amarante was happy again, it was a little easier to push it forward now that she was rejuvenated so she decided to pushed her luck a little and pushed it forward two meters to eighteen meters long, nine meters wide.

Her increase in length began to slow down the techniques speed but she was quick to rectify this and sped it up again, focusing on lengthening the technique after she had. She pushed the technique out to nineteen meters long, nine and a half meters wide and then she felt the same strained feeling she always did.

It was all beginning to get too much for her all over again but she had to persevere and get the jutsu working again but to make matter worse the jutsu slowed again. She had to speed up the technique before she could move on, that was a given so she injected more of the little remaining chakra she had left into the jutsu to speed it up.

She did so and then after a second to make sure the jutsu stuck, she moved on. Twenty meters long and ten meters wide, that was the length of Uchiha’s technique and the length that Amarante was bordering on. She was so close all she had to do was push a little more, like the final stages of child birth.

Wondering why she thought of childbirth for some reason, Amarante pushed the technique out to twenty meters in length and ten meters in width. Things seemed okay after this and Amarante smiled. She was exhausted but happy, she’d managed to match Uchiha’s technique and it only took her a day. What was left for her to train now?

The ninja forms the necessary hand seals which causes the water to form around the target into a spherical prison which only allows for limited movement. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a bushin technique, the ninja can imprison their target but still allow for a clone to attack others nearby.

Amarante woke up in her own bed for the first time in a few days. It was weird really but seeing as though Uchiha and The Great Hoshigaki had both finished whatever they were doing after three days of doing it she had no need to camp out there, the two of them going off to do whatever they did when they were doing what they were doing for those three days.

They did however promise to meet up with Amarante later on today, The Great Hoshigaki stating that he’d teach her some really awesome water jutsu to make up for Uchiha’s head start in teaching her the cherry blossom lightning techniques and after all the intense training for the A rank jutsu yesterday, Amarante thought that she’d enjoy a day of lighter training though with Hoshigaki training her the definition of light was under question.

Perhaps he’d just go easier on her and teach her some of the more useful techniques instead of the more powerful though she didn’t exactly care either way. The young girl did all of her morning things, breakfast and the such which took a few hours, and then made her way down to the training grounds.

She didn’t see the two of them anywhere though in her mind she took a mental count, she thought that as soon as she counted to three they’d find her, they always did. ‘One, two and three’ she counted but nothing until a second later. “Hey young one” the girl heard a gruff voice speak.

Turning around she was met with the faces of Uchiha and the great Hoshigaki, she didn’t know where strange Guy was but she assumed that he wasn’t here because Uchiha didn’t want to find him. “So you ready for your training?” Hoshigaki proceeded to question.

Amarante shrugged. “Sure why not” she stated not really caring about it or not. The Great Hoshigaki however found this statement very amusing and smirked dastardly. His hands then went into a flurry of hand signs, ‘Oh how unexpected’ Amarante sarcastically mused to herself, and then dropped down to Amarante’s level in an instant.

Amarante managed to track his movements despite how fast it was and held a look of indifference as his hand stopped in front of her, she was sure that he wouldn’t kill her. A sphere of water began to encase its way around Amarante though making the young girl at least a little nervous.

The sphere then took shape and when Amarante tried to move around within it, she fund that she couldn’t do so, the water like iron around her. “Hey what gives, I can’t move!” the girl exclaimed, drawing nothing but giggles from the Great Hoshigaki who’s hand was still attached to said sphere of water.

“This is the water prison jutsu girl” he stated, pissing Amarante with his use of the word ‘girl’. It entraps the opponent in a sphere of water, making it nearly impossible for them to move. It’s perfect if you need to transport an alive captive individual.”

Amarante had to agree with Hoshigaki, it was a good technique for capture there was just one thing… A vein bulged in Amarante’s forehead. “Hey how about you let me out of here so I can actually learn the damned thing!” she then bellowed, annoyed that Hoshigaki had kept her in the cage.

“Oh sorry” the man apologised as he removed the hand from the water sphere. ‘So the user has to remain attached to the sphere for it to work’ Amarante immediately grasped as the water reseeded around her. It was a fairly big flaw as far as the jutsu was concerned but still it had its uses so Amarante trained on with the technique.

Hoshigaki showed the girl the techniques hand signs and she memorised them. Forming the hand signs for a water clone now, Amarante created the being from the air around her and then dropped her gourd out on the ground in front of her; the water clone would provide itself as the target for her jutsu attempts.

Forming the hand signs for the water prison technique now, Amarante used the water in her gourd to trap her clone in a sphere of water, the water rising from the gourd and encasing the clone in front of her. The sphere wasn’t large enough however and only managed to snare the clones mid section at first but Amarante was quick to fix that.

Adding more chakra into the technique and using more water from her gourd she proceeded to add the correct amount of water to encase the clones’ whole body. The clone however was still able to move around fairly easily in the water sphere however so that was the next thing Amarante had to work on.

With her water slugging its way back into her gourd, Amarante formed more hand signs and tried the jutsu again. This time she encased the same amount of water with more chakra and tried to solidify it as it took shape. As the water encased the water clone Amarante managed to snare some success.

The clone found it difficult to move and it’s movements were very limited but it still wasn’t complete yet. Amarante added more chakra to the technique and focused on making the water even more solid and then that‘s when she managed to perform the technique correctly.

The clones’ movements were pretty much halted, only really managing to move its mouth. It was good; Amarante had just learnt a new technique.
