Effect: The user creates a giant palm of out of water that extends from their arm that is capable of lifting great weight or crushing an opponent.

Drawback: Holding the arm continuously drains chakra, as well as exertion, like moving heavy objects requires additional use of chakra.
Description: The user performs the handseals and then extends his or her arm out. Water rushes down from the shoulder joint and moves outwards, creating a giant hand. This hand is capable of lifting up to two tons, but can also be used offensively and defensively.

Amarante and The Great Hoshigaki were training their Taijutsu, upon Hoshigaki’s suggestion, and the large man was really getting into it. He was giving Amarante, who was also really enjoying herself, all she could handle, swinging that big sword of his with great ease.

Ducking under a blow from her teachers’ large sword, Amarante attempted to push forth with a thrust of her wakizashi blade only to be interrupted once again by another swings of the massive blade. Gaining some distance Amarante internally commented. ‘Damn he swings that thing so easily, wish I was that strong.’

Picking up on her frustration, the Great Hoshigaki decided to tease her a little bit. “Heh what a matter girl can’t get at me?” he taunted, Amarante buying into his trap replied back angrily.

“Gr shut up and didn’t I tell you to stop calling me girl you scaled freak!” she bellowed, the Great Hoshigaki took the comment rather badly and disappeared from Amarante’s sight for a moment though she found him again rather easily and was faced with a familiar scene.

“It’s right for you to call me a freak, I a, oddly coloured after all” he moaned depressed, a dark cloud hanging over his head and crouched down in front of a tree.

Amarante was once again royally pissed. “Oh come on don’t use the body flicker technique for something so juvenile!” she scolded. Huffing in frustration Amarante folded her arms. “Hey you wouldn’t happen to know a jutsu to make me stronger like physically would you?”

Pondering the question for a moment, The Great Hoshigaki rose to his feet and answered, his previous depressed mood now completely forgotten. “Make you stronger physically huh? Yeah I might know one, follow me.” He then led her back over to the river lake where they had trained their water style Ninjutsu for the last couple of days.

“Watch me!” he announced, forming some hand signs, Amarante paying attention to what they were. At his command, the water then rose and formed around his arm creating a very large hand composed entirely of water. “Check this out” the large blue man then beseeched, a smirk on his lips.

The Great Hoshigaki then walked over to the nearest tree and wrapped the hand around its trunk. ‘No way he’s not going to actually lift that thing is he?’ Amarante silently questioned to herself. The Great Hoshigaki seemed to hear her thoughts and smiled a big toothy grin to her and proceeded to slowly rip the tree from the ground.

Chuckling, the Great Hoshigaki commented on his actions, throwing the large tree away. “Hehe strong huh?” He chucked, Amarante stared at him in awe. He just ripped the tree from the ground, roots and all… Fffuck!

Snapping out of her small state of shock Amarante addressed the Great Hoshigaki in what was becoming her usual manner. “Teach me that technique and teach it to me now!” she implored, the Great Hoshigaki having no choice but to comply.

Letting the jutsu dissipate, The Great Hoshigaki motioned for her to give it a go. “Try it out then if you really want to learn it. I got no advice other then use the water in the river to make a big hand.”

Annoyed that the Great Hoshigaki had no words of advice for her before she tried the jutsu other then make a big hand, Amarante moved over to the water side and decided to give it a shot. Forming the hand signs, Amarante focused her chakra into the water, trying to make the shape of a hand.

Having an adverse reaction though, the water didn’t even rippled at her attempts and instead just moved on like nothing had happened. Scowling at the impudent water, Amarante tried the hand signs once more and kept on with her training, undeterred as she wanted the strength that came with the hand she had seen Hoshigaki use just a moment ago.

Forming the hand signs for the second time Amarante tried to get the water to mould to her bidding though it wasn’t going her way and the water didn’t even ripple once more. “Not working out for you eh?” The Great Hoshigaki interjected, drawing Amarante’s attention.

“Well it is a tricky jutsu to learn, granted there are jutsu that are a lot trickier” he additionally remarked, Amarante scowling in return though he continued to speak before she could argue. “There’s a knack to it that’ll probably find out. I’d tell you what it is but you wouldn’t understand what I mean until you actually do it so I’ll keep quiet on that fact for now.”

Confused by the man’s actions, Amarante tried to get some answers. “What do you mean there’s a knack to it?” she asked, annoyed he would try and keep things from her.

The Great Hoshigaki shook his head, “I told you, you won’t know what I’m talking about until you do it anyway so I’ll keep my trap shut for now.” Amarante scowled and formed the hand signs again.

“I bet you don’t know anything and you’re just saying that to make it sound like you do when you really don’t” she accused, attempting to con the man into revealing his insight. Failing however, her attention then returned to the water and tried her hand at forming the giant hand again.

She focused the image of a hand in her mind, trying to get the water to move for her but she only had some minor success which was not to be proud of considering all she managed to do was make the water ripple.

The Great Hoshigaki chose this moment to speak up. “Well I’m going to go down to the street to get us something to eat kay?” Amarante’s ears perked up at this and she quickly gave her request to the man.

“Oh hey could you the ingredients for that stew of yours?” she enquired turning to face the blue man, she really did like that stew and she really would like to have it again.

The Great Hoshigaki almost tripped over his feet when he heard this. “You want that stew again?!” he screamed. Amarante was confused by his alarmed tone but nodded all the same. Noticing the awkward way he had been acting the Great Hoshigaki quickly tried to play it off. “Oh ah right then I’ll ah go get the ingredients for that…” he trailed off.

Amarante was curious to why he was acting this way but was quick to dismiss it, thinking that he was just glad that she liked his cooking. “Well I’m going to go and do that now” the Great Hoshigaki repeated himself. “Don’t die and etcetera” he waved and then disappeared from sight using the Shunshin.

‘Now that’s a more practical use of the Shunshin’ Amarante mused to herself, turning to face the water once again. She wasn’t having any luck with the giant water hand jutsu as of yet, come to think of it she never asked Hoshigaki what the technique was actually called, but that was going to change.

Pouring more of her chakra into the technique then she had previously, Amarante attempted to form the giant hand that the Great Hoshigaki had. The jutsu bubbled and swelled but didn’t form like she had wanted though that was to be expected from the level of training she was at.

Placing her hand atop the now resting water, Amarante inhaled deeply and sighed. Today was going to be another long day and most likely it was going to be an exhausting one. She really was happy that she had met the Great Hoshigaki, that guy was a blessing in disguise; she’d never have gotten so strong without him.

Rolling her shoulders, Amarante cast the water hand jutsu and tried to bring forth a hand from the water in front of her. Once again the water swelled a little bit but did not reach her and quickly died in the water, her attempt proving to be a failure.

Taking a moment to consider her options, Amarante pondered on how she could increase her capability with the technique. She could eat a food pill, she considered, but quickly dismissed the idea as she didn’t have any on her person at the moment.

She could use her water clones? No that wouldn’t work, she was having trouble working the jutsu out with the full amount of chakra she had and to split that chakra into water clones wouldn’t help. Maybe if they were shadow clones but that wasn’t the case so she had to keep thinking.

Maybe if she used a technique that was similar to the water hand technique that would help her along? It was worth a shot but Amarante quickly cast it down saying that her other technique were subtly but majorly different in their functions and that it wouldn’t help.

But maybe the techniques training methods would help. Remembering how she learnt the water claw technique, Amarante recalled how she put her hands into the water to help form them as she could just instantly attach the water to her hands instead of having the water travel to her.

Deciding that this was the best course of action, Amarante decided to give it a shot and formed the hand signs. This time the water was easier to mould and stuck to her hand for a little while once removed from the water. As the jutsu dropped back into the water upon her completion of the technique, Amarante couldn’t help but remember that Hoshigaki’s version of the technique took his entire arm in length.

In her attempt to emulate this, Amarante submerged completely into the water. She formed the hand signs whilst holding her breath and then rose from the water to see her progress. Her right arm was now encased in water and while she was happy it quickly faded away from existence and splashed back into the water.

She as making some mild success but it still wasn’t enough to satisfy her so she quickly formed another set of hand signs and submerged herself in the water once again although this time only up until the neck. She focused her chakra into the water and tried to encase her right arm in water once more.

Resurfacing once more, Amarante was once again happy as the water had shaped itself around her arm and although it was only a thin layer that resembled a hand in no way shape or form it was progress and she was glad that she was making it.

The jutsu once again dripped back into the water and Amarante gave the technique another shot, forming the hand signs and then submerging herself to the neck once more. She tried to expand the technique beyond her arm this time, to begin the creation of the hand but when she remerged from the water she was faced with the same sight as she was before, the arm only being encased in water in a way that didn’t resemble a hand at all.

Frustrated she tried the technique again, submerging once more but then she emerged she was once again faced with the same result. Something was now going wrong with the technique as she tried it but what? She had no idea but she was going to get some answers.

Getting out of the water, she put a finger to her chin and thought. The hand wasn’t forming like she wanted. That was the only thought that was processing in her mind at the moment and unfortunately she was unable to find any possible reasons for this and so she tried the jutsu once more with nothing else to do.

Flipping through the hand signs, Amarante plunged her arm into the water in front of her and brought it in to encase her arm. Once again however, it didn’t encase itself into the hand that Amarante had wanted and she cast it away, the jutsu dripping and splashing away into nothingness.

Wiping some of the water off of her face which splashed up onto her, she thought of what she was doing and out of laziness just decided to add more chakra into the technique rather then try and figure out what she was doing wrong. Forming the hand signs, Amarante doubled the amount chakra she placed into the technique and plunged her arm into the water.

She held some minor success with this and she was able to double the amount of water that encased her arm upon removing it from the water. Looking her arm over she also noted that she had been able to protrude the beginnings of a hand at the ends of her finger tips.

Happy she was once again making progress, Amarante thought of her training methods with other water styled Ninjutsu. She had trained the water claw technique by placing her hands in the water to help with the process which she was imitating now by plunging her arm into the water.

She trained the teppodama, pressure jet and great current all by focusing chakra in her throat, or in the latter her gullet but that method didn’t seem to stick well with training this jutsu.

She then remembered how she learnt her liquid grip technique. She’d used it to tie up that animal abuse guy but before that she had learnt to use it by forming hand signs and not being lazy and going to the water instead of the water coming to her.

Frustrated, Amarante decided that she should probably learn how to bring the water to her arm at this point in her training rather then go to it so she formed some hand signs and attempted to pull the water onto her arm via chakra. The water began to slowly move towards her and eventually came to rest, covering up to her hand in a thick liquid.

Letting the jutsu disperse once more, Amarante formed the hand signs once more, standing at the waters edge, and let the water encase her arm. This time the water encased her up to the elbow and while she was happy she made progress, her not being able to even make the water move at the beginning of her training, she was still far from getting this jutsu down packed.

So once more letting the jutsu disperse and splash back into the river/lake, she reformed the hand signs and allowed the jutsu to reach and encase her arm. This time the jutsu reached all the way up to her should like she had wanted, all that she had to do now was to form the hand using more chakra and water.

The jutsu once again dropped away from her and she reformed the hand signs in an attempt to form the hand she had wanted though all she was able to do was to encase her arm in water once more and no form of a hand was even hinted at creation.

Sighing, Amarante fell to her knees, depressed. “Sigh I’m never going to get this jutsu down at this rate. Hoshigaki will be back soon… I’d really like to have this jutsu down before he does but I don’t think I will” she said aloud to herself, not expecting anyone to answer her.

Someone did however. “Maybe I can be of help then?” a cool, calm and almost seductive voice spoke to her with an offer of aid. Amarante turned around in search of the voice’s owner; a hand adored on her wakizashi blade, but found no one however.

Either she imagined it or someone was a good hider, she hoped to god it was the former. Better alive and crazy then dead and sane.

“Maybe I can be of help then?” a cool, calm and almost seductive voice spoke to her with an offer of aid.

Amarante turned around in a panic, searching for the culprit but found no one. “Who’s there?” she called out but received no answer. Relaxing though still nervous, Amarante tried to convince herself she was just going crazy and turned back around with every intention to continue training.

When she did turn around however, she stumbled back in shock and fumbled around for her wakizashi. “I’m an acquaintance of the man you’re referring to as ‘Hoshigaki’ you may call me Uchiha if you wish” he offered, his voice still remaining calm as if he didn’t just sneak up on her like he did. He was standing on the water and was only about five meters away from her

‘How’d he get there without me knowing about it?’ Amarante in return pondered to herself, still rather panicked even though he had admitted to being an acquaintance of Hoshigaki’s. A man who could sneak up on a trained ninja like that deserved to be feared, maybe even more so then The Great Hoshigaki.

Looking him over before continuing to either speak or react, Amarante couldn’t help but notice his eyes. They were pure red and his bridge of his nose seemed to indent slightly making him look rather intimidating and also rather old though she could tell he was a teenager or close to it.

His black hair also came down over his eye, having a large fringe whilst also being long and done up in a pony tail. He wore his head band on his forehead as well as a some what beaded necklace around his neck, a mesh t-shirt, a black cloak similar if not identical to that of The Great Hoshigaki’s covering his black pants and shoes from view and Amarante could see katana over his back.

Overall out of his entire apparel only one thing threatened her. “Your head bands crossed out… Does that make you a missing ninja?” she’d enquired swallowing a lump in her throat.

‘So Hoshigaki is lying is he?’ The Uchiha opposite pondered before speaking. “Your head bands crossed out as well you know. Does that mean you are a missing ninja of the leaf?” he asked in response, Amarante thought hard before answering but spoke truthfully.

“No I am a ninja currently employed by the leaf village” she replied, her voice as confident as she could make it. “My head band was just… Damaged.”

The Uchiha seemed amused by the girls reply. “HN well then… Mine was too; I am a friend of Hoshigaki’s after all” the black haired man assured her. Amarante choose to trust him from those words and sheathed her sword.

“So you can help me huh? How?” she questioned the man despite the fact that the two had just met and she hadn’t introduced herself.

Uchiha began to chuckled, seemingly entertained by Amarante’s ask questions first manners latter attitude. “Well young miss, while I myself am not particularly well versed in water style Ninjutsu I have seem my friend use that technique on occasion and know how to use it myself. I could give you a few pointers.”

Amarante seemed to brighten up at this. “Really, Hoshigaki said that I wouldn’t understand what he was saying until I actually do it so he didn’t give me any advice” she exclaimed, a smile upon her face.

Uchiha seemed to ponder this for a moment. “Hmm well I guess it could be true but really it shouldn’t be too difficult to understand…” he mulled over. Smiling now he gave her the advice he promised. “Whether or not you understand it is irrelevant, my words of advice are: reinforce the jutsu through to the shoulder.”

Amarante was a little confused with these words. “What do you mean reinforce the technique through to the shoulder?”

“I mean just that” The Uchiha answered bluntly. “The Suiton: Mizu Assai Hira no Jutsu it a jutsu retaining the whole arm so you have to strengthen the whole arm not just the point at the wrist. If you don’t the jutsu will just collapse, resulting in failure.”

“Oh so it’s called the Water Release: Water Crushing Palm Technique” Amarante translated, temporarily ignoring the Uchiha clan members advice. “I mean oh right strengthen the whole arm that sounds easy enough” and really it did but maybe that wasn’t the whole thing maybe there was something else to it.

Decided to find out for herself, Amarante flipped through the hand signs and cast the jutsu. Water travelled up her arm and she focused on infusing it with her chakra so that it was easier to hold together. When it had finished moving Amarante looked down and smiled.

It was small but a hand was now fixed onto the jutsu on the end of her hand. It was great she was finally making progress with the technique.

Smiling upon her success, the Uchiha opposite also smiled. “I see you’ve made some small progress with the technique” he commented. “That’s good, you were taking forever a moment ago.”

Amarante turned to him in accusation. “Just how long have you been watching me?” she prosecuted in anger.

“A small while now” he admitted nonchalantly. “Really it was beginning to get rather boring though you did have some interesting training techniques; it really was beginning to get rather dull.”

Amarante began to fume. “Hey don’t you know it’s impolite to spy on a girl like that?” The Uchiha remained silent. “Ah who cares, I’m just going to keep training!” she announced whilst forming hand signs. The Uchiha seemed to consent to this and moved from the water to a place on the land three meters to her right.

The water began to swell around her hands and up towards Amarante’s shoulders once more and she was again rewarded with a small hand that sprouted from her limb of water. “Damn it, it’s still not big enough. You got any tips on how to make it bigger now?” she then enquired, the Uchiha replying stoically.

“More chakra” he put forward, Amarante in return gave him the evil eye and once again formed the hand signs. She could have figured that out, she didn’t need his help for that. The water began to swell and move towards her hand again and this time, complying with Uchiha’s suggestion, she injected more chakra into the technique.

The end result was that she created a hand of size of a bout half of that of the Great Hoshigaki’s. “Almost there” Uchiha commented at her progress, Amarante was happy that he did. It made it seem as though she was even closer then she really was.

Flipping through the hand signs once more, Amarante tried her best to inject as much chakra into the technique as possible, all the while still trying to retain the structural integrity of the technique throughout the arm. The water kept coming in and when it was finished Amarante held a smirk upon her lips.

The jutsu was now give or take the same size as Hoshigaki’s and now finally complete. “Now you’re about fifty percent of the way there” Uchiha remarked, drawing Amarante’s attention.

Amarante was confused, could the black haired guy not see that she had completed the jutsu; the giant hand on her limb was proof enough of that. Picking up on her confusion, as all Uchiha would, the black haired man in front of her explained himself, sort of. “Try picking up that tree like Hoshigaki did” he instructed, Amarante gleefully complying.

She really wanted to do this, it looked so cool when Hoshigaki had. Moving over to the tree, Amarante lined up her giant hand and grabbed the tree from around the trunk Amarante tried to up root it but was unable to. “Urgh what the hell, why can’t I lift it?”

The Uchiha held a smirk. “It’s because you haven’t fully mastered the technique yet. There is still one more thing you have to do to get it right.”

Amarante was personally peeved about this guy beating around the bush so much. “Yeah and what’s that?” she enquired fairly agitated.

“Well I don’t think it would be best if I told you right away” he started but quickly changed his tune when he noticed Amarante’s facial expression getting more royally pissed. “But who am I to judge what is best. What you have to do in a nut shell is basically condense the technique a little meaning that you compress the water.”

“Oh really that’s all?” Amarante piped up, her sour mood now forgotten. Uchiha was a little surprised by this but was quickly enlightened when Amarante continued. “It’s just like with all water style jutsu, sort of. They all need condensing in a way, pretty obvious really.”

The Uchiha couldn’t help but smile and ushered Amarante to continue. Flipping through the hand signs again, Amarante condensed the water in the technique, inadvertently making it easier to retain the techniques strength up the arm, and brought forth a giant hand of water. “Yeah this feels more like it now” she exclaimed, the black haired Uchiha clan member nodding in agreement.

Amarante, following the Uchiha clan members’ instructions of condensing the techniques water, brought forth a giant hand which was attached to a watery limb which was attached to her arm up til the shoulder.

She flexed the limb just to make sure it was of adequate quality and happy with it, she turned to the Uchiha on her right. “So how’s that?” she enquired, interested in the mans opinion. He seemed to be a strong opponent so his opinion, as well as Hoshigaki’s, obviously meant a lot to her.

Instead of answering her, the Uchiha beckoned for her to display the techniques strength and pointed toward the tree she had attempted to uproot a moment ago. “Well how about you see for yourself and try up root that tree again?” he suggested, Amarante nodding in agreement.

It did seem like a good way to judge it; theoretically she should be able to uproot it this time if she had performed the technique right and if not she’d just have to try again. Walking over to the tree, Amarante wrapped the limb around its trunk and tightened her grip. She then proceeded to pull upwards in her attempt.

It was difficult, the trees roots seemed to have grown fairly deep into the ground but she pulled as hard as she could and eventually it uprooted the tricky tree and held it in her giant hand of water. “Hehe got it” Amarante smirked in triumph, the Uchiha wasn’t going to let her celebrate to soon however.

“Now you’re about seventy five percent of the way there” he remarked, once again confusing Amarante while also pissing her off a bit. As the blonde raised an eyebrow in question, the Uchiha continued. “First off was to learn to form the hand, which took up fifty percent of the jutsu.”

Amarante nodded in understanding but still didn’t loose her annoyed facial expression. “Second was to learn how to condense the water in the hand and strengthen it” Amarante nodded once more. “That took up another twenty-five percent equalling seventy-five percent all up and finally you need to learn how to use the use the techniques offensive and defensive purposes.”

Taking a moment for reflection and question before continuing, the Uchiha raised a finger and continued his explanation. “In order to do this jutsu maintenance is required meaning you need to learn to hold the jutsu for a long time.”

Amarante interjected. “And how do I do that?” she questioned in order to gain some insight to the opposing Uchiha’s training methods.

The black haired Uchiha scratched the side of his head. “Well offensively… How about you just throw that tree?”

Amarante looked over to the tree she was still holding in her hand and scowled. “Really that’s all I have to do?” she then proceeded to pull her arm back and hurl the tree into the forest line creating a very loud banging noise in reaction. “Now what do I have to do for defensive maintenance?”

Uchiha smirked. “Now you see that’s the fun part…” he trailed off, scaring Amarante. He then used the body flicker technique and appeared several meters to her left. The black haired shinobi didn’t stop there though and he quickly flipped through some hand signs at a speed so fast, Amarante wasn’t sure she could even see them beyond the blur he created.

A fireball then spat out of his mouth and directed itself towards the young girl. “Shit!” she cried in astonishment moving to face the incoming projectile. Thinking fast on her feet, Amarante decided to move the giant hand of water to intercept the raging ball of fire which was fast approaching.

The hand managed to intervene and save her, the water having doused the fire and extinguished the flame. The black haired Uchiha then spoke up, Amarante look at him from behind the hand of water. “Don’t get to cocky, that was just one of my weaker attacks” he claimed.

Amarante was really pissed by his actions and bellowed at the man accordingly. “God damn it! You really are Hoshigaki’s friend, you both try to teach me thing by trying to kill me!”

Shunshin no Jutsu, (Body Flicker Technique)

Effect: A High speed movement technique where a user moves from one point to another as if appearing to teleport in a short distance in almost untraceable speeds. User moves in 10 meters

Drawback Able to use 3 times a day when first learned. Each time learned after first time user is able to use it one more time. If user uses it passes the number capable, leg muscles cramp dramatically and user is unable to move till medical treatment. May only be used on the ground in a straight line whether facing forward or away.
Description: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily boost the user's reflexes. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance between the user and their intended destination. When used this technique does not take up any movements. However a user may only use this technique equal to half the amount of their movements per round rounding down. Thus 3 movements user may use it only once per round. 15 movements user may use it 7 times per round without it taking up a movement.
Limit: User must have a Character.

Having gotten the hang of the hand of water technique, Amarante turned to her Uchiha companion, a smile on her face. “Alright I got it!” she cheered. “Hoshigaki is going to be so impressed with me… Maybe he’ll teach me something really powerful like an S rank technique or something.”

The Uchiha chose this moment to inject. “Don’t you think you’re getting ahead of yourself young miss, I mean it was just a B rank jutsu” he posed, gaining Amarante’s attention. “Maybe you should focus on learning an A rank technique of some sort before you try and learn a jutsu of that strength. If not it may back fire on your and you’d end up just destroying yourself.”

Amarante’s face muddled up. Uchiha’s words were true; she probably would die if she messed up training an S rank technique. She’d probably have to wait a little longer before she tried one of them out, maybe learn few more then one A rank jutsu before then. “Right well let’s just wait for Hoshigaki before anything decided huh?” Amarante suggested, the Uchiha nodding his approval.

Minutes wen by and soon those minutes turned into twenty and still the Great Hoshigaki had not made an appearance. “Gr where is that guy!?” Amarante shouted in frustration, ending the silence that had been kept between the Uchiha and her.

Smiling behind the collar of his cloak, the Uchiha piped up. “Maybe if we do some training we’ll be able to fill in some time before his return” he suggested, Amarante paying close attention.

“What kind of training?” she enquired; curious to what the man would have to offer her.

The Uchiha took a moment to ponder the possibilities before answering in the form of a question. “Do you know the Shunshin no jutsu?” the sharp eyed man enquired. Amarante shook her head. “Very well, we may as well start with that then” he alleged.

Though she had seen and heard about the Shunshin technique from other shinobi and because of the Great Hoshigaki’s habits, Amarante had herself no knowledge on how to perform the technique. “Now watch me carefully… Or maybe try to watch me carefully would be a better definition” the Uchiha instructed of the girl.

Amarante’s eyes were fixed onto place as the Uchiha before readied him self, or at least Amarante though he was readying himself, he wasn’t exactly doing anything. He was just standing there. A puff of smoke engulfed him though and soon she heard his voice next to her.

“The Shunshin technique requires a user too focus their chakra into their body to boost their reflexes” he informed her as Amarante jumped away from him in surprise. “You may as well give it a shot now yourself” the black haired man inferred albeit indifferently. “But I should warn you, if you exceed you maximum number of flickers a day your muscles will tear and you won’t be able to move until you receive some medical attention.”

The young blonde tripped on her feet. “There’s always some sort of catch with you two isn’t there?” Amarante chided before forming a tiger hand seal. She was building her chakra so that she’d be able to send it through her body in the way that would hopefully allow her to Shunshin like the Uchiha had.

Feeling as though she had built up enough chakra, Amarante leapt forward in her attempt at a Shunshin. The attempt proved fruitless however and she just leapt forward in a way that a normal individual would. “Not quiet” Amarante’s Uchiha companion decided to remark at her attempts.

Amarante brushed off the mans comments however. “You can’t expect perfection on the first attempt can you?” the young girl said to the black haired man. She then focused her chakra again and spread it through her body. She then proceeded to run ten meters in another attempt at the Shunshin and once again failed.

She wasn’t deterred however and tried again, and again. Each time getting a little faster, the chakra in her body improving her reflexes. Soon she was running at a fast pace to what she considered fast and had to take a break. Her legs were beginning to throb with that oh so sweet feeling of strain. She smiled.

Her leg muscle aching in what she considered ecstasy, Amarante focused more chakra through her body, firing it off in a burst and travelling faster then her previous attempts. Confused as to why this would happen, she asked the Uchiha observing her training of his opinion.

“Hey Uchiha” she called, gaining his attention. “That last attempt of mine was faster then what I thought it’d be, I sent my chakra through my body more quickly so why’d it improve like that?”

Closing his eyes and ducking his head, the black haired Uchiha sighed. “Sigh you know you’re not exactly being clear young miss” the young man chastised.

Amarante gave him the evil eye in return. “Just answer the question” she demanded.

The Uchiha smiled at her childish behaviour. “The Shunshin requires fast movements so generally, a large pulse of chakra utilised within the body quickly will prove more fruitful then if you build up your chakra giving your body a chance to adapt to the energy increase.”

Amarante nodded her head. “So send the chakra throughout my body in a burst. Got it” she proclaimed taking a prepared running stance. The young blonde took a deep breath and then focused her chakra.

She sent it really quickly through her body and leapt of the ground. She leapt to late however and the chakra didn’t exactly help like it was supposed to because of it though she still moved faster then she normally would have but far from a Shunshin.

Trying again, she focused her chakra, surged it through her body and then leapt of the line she had created for herself. This time she leapt to soon however and the chakra burst hit to late. “Damn my itchy trigger fingers” she scolded herself whilst quickly building up her chakra and trying the technique out again.

This time she phased through the air and appeared the ten meters ahead of her to what she assumed the Shunshin would have. “What… Happened..?” Amarante managed to stammer confused as to why the world suddenly went blurry as she leapt into her jutsu attempt.

“You successfully performed the jutsu” the black haired observer managed to comment in Amarante’s confusion, drawing Amarante’s attention. “Though I hardly think you’ve gotten a handle on the technique, you did manage to successfully attempt the jutsu this one time.”

Amarante scowled but remained silent. It was true she really did not have a handle on this technique, her legs were aching just from that on attempt, she really wouldn’t be able to utilise this jutsu properly for while at least, its toll was just too unbearable at this moment.

She pushed the thoughts to the back of her mind though; she needed to focus at this moment. She was till learning the timing for the technique so she had to focus on that.

She pulsed her chakra through her body once more and leapt through the distance. Successfully performing the Shunshin one more time, Amarante tried it out once more though this time she messed it up and only managed to move quickly to the ten meter point, not teleport as it were.

“Shit, gotta try again” she inwardly told herself. Pulsing her chakra once more, Amarante leapt and successfully performed the technique a third time. Her legs were really aching now but she still wasn’t sure if she had then technique down to one-hundred percent so she prepared to try it out once more.

As she was about to move however, she felt a hand grab her and stop her movements. “What did I say?” the black haired Uchiha scolded. “If you exceed the limitations of the technique you’ll be immobilised and require medical attention.

“SO three Shunshin’s is my limit?” Amarante asked, looking disheartened.

“It would appear” was the blunt reply of the Uchiha. “How about we just sit back and wait for our third member to arrive before we try that again?” the black haired man posed.

Amarante nodded her head. “Yeah that’s probably for the best” she confirmed and so the two began to wait for the large, blue man, once again falling into silence.

Description: The user holds as many kunai/shuriken, or metal projectile for that matter, as they can, up to 5 slots in their hands, and charges them with electricity. Extra lightning damage is added which will slightly paralyze or numb. The projectiles will shock the opponent weakly even if they don't make contact, but at least come close to.

Amarante and her Uchiha companion were still waiting for the Great Hoshigaki to make an appearance, something Amarante was sure he was not going to do anytime soon or at least not today. Turning to Amarante the Uchiha enquired to his current whereabouts.

“Amarante” the black haired man beckoned the young blonde looking to him in response. “Where did Hoshigaki say he was going? Did he set off anywhere particularly dangerous or something?” he asked, worried about his friends’ safety. Amarante shook her head. “No he said he was just going down to the market to pick up something for cooking later” she informed him the black haired man nodding his understanding.

“Well then…” the Uchiha then began. “How about we get some more training in while we wait?” he posed, Amarante quickly taking him up on his offer.

“Sure if you teach me anything like that Shunshin technique again I just might replace that self absorbed Hoshigaki as my teacher and have you fill the role” she exclaimed the Uchiha laughing at her enthusiasm.

“Well now, let’s just start off with some basic jutsu for now, the more advanced jutsu can wait until you’ve had some more rest” he stated. Amarante had already been training fairly hard today so generally this was the best course of action.

Cocking her head cutely to the side, Amarante questioned the Uchiha on the jutsu he’d be attempting to teach her. “So what jutsu am I supposed to be learning from you?” she innocently enquired.

The Uchiha pulled out a kunai in response. “This” he answered bluntly, raising the kunai to Amarante’s eye level. He then lightly tapped the girl with the knife sending a electric shock through her shoulder blade, a large spark of electricity being created upon contact between the blade and her skin.

“Oww!” Amarante cried as she felt her shoulder blade begin to numb. “What the hell was that for?” she shouted in question, not particularly impressed by the Uchiha’s actions.

The Uchiha smiled. “To show you what you’d be learning” he insisted, throwing the kunai blade into a tree his opposite. “This jutsu is simply called the charged projectile technique for obvious reasons. It requires no hand seals and it a fairly simple technique to utilise so you should pick it up easy enough.”

Producing a kunai of her own, Amarante tried the technique out for herself. “So you just focus electrical chakra into the blade right?” she rhetorically asked aloud, Uchiha nodding in response. She wasn’t particularly well versed in lightning style jutsu but hey she could perform some of the other simple stuff so this should be easy.

She focused chakra into the blade in her hand, hoping to charge it with electrical energy and tapped the Uchiha on the arm to see if anything happened. ‘Nothing’ Amarante internally monologued.

She tried again and this time felt as though she had actually succeeded in electrifying the kunai which was proven to be true when she tapped the Uchiha on the arm again producing a small spark to jolt and the mans arm to flinch. “Very good Amarante but you still haven’t charged it enough. Add some more chakra to it and try again.”

Doing as she was told, she focused more chakra into the blade this time and literally felt as though she had perfected it this time, the feeling of static enticing her fingers. She touched it to the arm of the Uchiha again and once again shocked him. “Ah yes that’s it now” he commented as he once again flinched.

Amarante smirked. It was good that she had learnt to jutsu but she thought as though she could improve on it and charged even more chakra into it. This was a mistake however and the blade rippled with electricity and shocked her back. “Ah damn it!” Amarante cried as the Uchiha commented.

“At this point in time I should also inform you that if you charge more electricity in the blade then you’re supposed to it will shock you in return” he remarked, Amarante shouting at him in response.

“You could have told me that sooner!” she screeched as she rubbed feeling back into her hand. She felt as though she needed one last test to truly prove if she had mastered the technique though and looked around to see what she could do. Noticing Uchiha’s kunai still embedded in the tree an idea came to her.

She readied her blade once more and took aim. She was going to throw her kunai at Uchiha’s to create a spark of electricity that would flash as the two metals came into contact with each other.

Throwing her blade she watched as it sailed towards the still embedded kunai and spark violently as the two came in contact with each other. It was a nice short lightshow and it brought a smile to Amarante’s face, electricity could be fun.

(OOC: Can not bring myself to train any Taijutsu at the moment, just that unmotivated, so I though that I’d work on my lightning style jutsu, gonna need it mastered before I train the chidori anyway.)

Having mastered the charged projectile technique, Uchiha decided to teach Amarante another simple but useful lightning style jutsu. It was the lightning flash technique a technique which could disorientate enemies, something that would come in useful at all times.

“Listen here Amarante” the Uchiha clan member beckoned, the young girl looking to him. “This next jutsu I’m going to show you is called the Lightning flash technique. It’s another simple technique so you shouldn’t have to much trouble learning it.”

Looking to the older man in recognition, Amarante implored him to show her. “Right so show me the technique then” she almost pleaded, excitement evident in her voice.

The Uchiha smiled and closed his eyes. He then held the rat hand seal as Amarante stared at his closed eye in anticipation. A few seconds passed and Amarante was getting impatient and when she was going to say something about it Uchiha opened his eyes and produced a very bright flash which blinded the young girl.

“AH!” she screamed as she held her eyes. “What the hell!” The Uchiha just laughed at her reaction to the jutsu, amused by his slight practical joke. “Oh yeah real funny, blind the blonde girl” Amarante chastised as she blinked, trying to get her vision back.

“Hehe useful isn’t it” the Uchiha chuckled as Amarante began to see things clearly again. “Using this in the face of an opponent would guarantee you a kill if they reacted the same way.”

Amarante had no desire to argue the statement, her brain affected by the bright light. “Right well when I start thinking clearly I’ll give it a go myself then” she assured her teacher, rolling her neck.

The world was now once again clearly visible to her and she decided to give the jutsu a shot now. Uchiha would suffer the same fate as she did and she formed the rat hand sign, closing her eyes to build up her chakra. She didn’t exactly know how to build up her chakra right away so she’d have to experiment.

Building up her chakra as she would for a regular lightning style jutsu, she focused it into her eyes and swiftly opened them. The outcome was that a small spark of light encased her eye’s but it was far from being able to disorient enemies within a ten meter range so she closed her eyes and formed the rat hand sign again.

She focused her chakra in a way to what she believed would create a flash in her eyes this time though still at this moment it was experimental if it would work or not. Believing that she had built up enough chakra, Amarante opened her eyes and a small flash was evident to burst from her eyes.

“You’re getting it” the Uchiha commented, having now moved ten meters away from her which she hadn’t noticed until she opened her eyes. “Try from there to disorient me way over here, when you can do that I’ll say that you’ve mastered the technique.”

A challenge now set, Amarante closed her eyes with a smile and focused her chakra. She had learnt a lot from her last attempt and hoped that this time she’d be able to perform the technique to a satisfactory level. She built up her chakra in a way in which she hoped would be sufficient to blind her teacher and opened her eyes.

The result wasn’t quiet what she was hoping for but it was progress. “Well that one was a little better then last” the Uchiha commented on her technique. “You’d be able to disorient and enemy at three metres now so try once more and you should have it.”

Amarante smirked. She knew she’d get it this next time and knew that Uchiha’s words were empty compliments. He didn’t expect that she’d be able to perform the technique on this next try he was just saying as much so Amarante closed her eyes and focused her chakra, holding the rat hand sign.

She waited until she was sure she built up enough chakra and when she opened her eyes a mighty flash burst forth, blinding all around her. “How was that” Amarante smugly asked her teacher who she was sure was blinded by her jutsu.

The Uchiha disappeared in a puff of smoke though, replaced by scarecrow of some sort. Amarante’s eye widened as she felt someone’s presence behind her. “It was satisfactory” The Uchiha said lightly, a smile on his face.

Amarante looked to him in distaste. “Oh you just got an answer for everything huh?”

Description: The user forms the hand seals, creating ravens of lightning around them. The ravens are roughly two feet in wingspan. The ravens are comprised of pure electricity, and discharge into a shock of electricity when they strike an object. Each swallow discharges with a D rank shock. The user can control the motions of the swallows completely. When first learned, the user is only capable of creating up to five ravens at a time. Each time learned, the user can create an additional five ravens. When the user attains to capability of creating fifty ravens, the technique increases to a C rank technique, allowing for an additional five per training as usual. When the user reaches the capability of creating one hundred twenty swallows, the training becomes B rank. The user can create two hundred swallows, total, before they max out.

Amarante felt as though her ability with lightning jutsu was beginning to grow, a feeling mirrored by the Uchiha her opposite. “I’m going to teach you a more useful technique this time Amarante” he informed her, the young blonde lighting up at the revelation.

“Really what is it?” the young blonde enquired. She was hoping for something that would be really deadly. Her friend Kenji had proven to be more then a match for her in lightning Ninjutsu so really for her to learn something of greater strength then him was something she really was hoping for.

Taking a step away from the girl, the Uchiha beckoned her to watch him and made a few hand signs, ‘Tiger, Dog, Tiger’. Five birds, ravens, of lightning then formed around him and fluttered in a circle around his head. Uchiha then directed them towards a tree in which they slammed head first into and dispersed chipping the bark fairly deeply.

Amarante went in to inspect the damage they had created as Uchiha looked on. She wasn’t exactly impressed. “That’s all they can do?” she spat, disappointed that the Uchiha had only given her a jutsu that would be abysmal at best when he had promised her more.

The Uchiha smirked. “Not exactly” he replied, forming the hand signs again. At his command, hundreds of ravens comprised of electricity encircled him, static electricity being lifted all around the area. They then swooped down and slammed into a group of trees away from Amarante, destroying them.

Amarante looked on in awe. The level of destruction was beyond what she imagined the technique could do, there were hundreds of them, and it really surprised her. “What did I say?” the Uchiha piped up. “With practice the technique can become that of a level where I can become useful.”

Amarante nodded in understanding. It would take a while she imagined but that jutsu could possibly come in handy one day if she trained with it enough. Before any of that happened though she would have to actually learn the basics of the technique.

She formed the hand sings for her attempt at the jutsu; focusing her lightning chakra into the air around her she tried to form a bird of electricity, using the shape of the Uchiha’s own ravens as a basis of what hers would be. The outcome was a small bird half the size of the one the Uchiha had created.

Said small bird would fly around aimlessly, regardless of what Amarante tried to get it to do. “Oh well let’s try again” she said as the lightning bird fell to the ground and dispersed. She formed the hand signs and focused on creating the bird of lightning she had seen the Uchiha create.

Lightning chakra sparked around her and soon a bird of lightning appeared at her left. Smiling, Amarante tried to control it to fly into a nearby tree but like the previous attempt the bird did not follow orders and flew itself into the ground creating a small hole and dust cloud in the process.

“Perhaps you should work on controlling the bird before you continue on making more” the Uchiha suggested, Amarante nodded in response. If she couldn’t control just one it’d probably be dangerous to create more of them. Forming the hand signs, Amarante summoned forth another bird of lightning.

The bird once again flew over head aimlessly and Amarante tried to take control. She focused on making it move to the left and the bird did so at her command. Smiling, Amarante tried to make it go to the right, up and down and then in circles.

She continued this for a little while before deciding that she had enough control and took the initiative to move forth with her training. Letting the bird sail into a nearby tree and destroy itself, Amarante formed another set of hand signs and tried for two birds this time. Lightning chakra crackled in the air around her once more and two birds of lightning came forth.

She tried controlling the birds and found that she still had a decent level of control, having them spin in directions all around her. Slamming them into another tree she tried for the five that she had seen the Uchiha create before and formed the hand signs, lightning chakra flowing through and out of her body.

The birds took shape rather quickly and once again began to fly around her. Amarante tried to control them and though it was more difficult to ensure that they didn’t slam into each other had some mild success. “You’re doing well Amarante” the Uchiha commented, Amarante in turn delivered him a smile.

Effect: Creates a large hound out of electricity.
Special: Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, Bull, Dog, Rat, Snake, Dragon(Hold)
Drawback: Must hold the “Dragon” seal for as long as the jutsu is active. Must remain stationary. The hound materialized by this jutsu can only move 10 meters per movement. This jutsu can only be held 3 post, if held for too long then this the user will suffer burns causing elephantine pain to the arm used, and that arm will also become paralized for the remainder of battle. If the electric leash that is attached to the hound is interfered with so it doesn't have contact with the hound anymore, the jutsu is cancelled.
Description: By manipulating lightning chakra into the dominant hand, the user can make the lightning expand to can create the form of a hound to attack his opponent from a distance while still connected to the user’s hand through a bolt of lightning. The user then manipulates the technique to attack the chosen target. This jutsu has a maximum range of 70 meters. The hound only has 3 movements per turn.

Uchiha looked upon Amarante with pride. The girl seemed to have a natural ability with the lightning style jutsu he was teaching her so far, she learnt the jutsu with ease, taking what he told her and soaking it up like a sponge. He really was seeing what Hoshigaki was seeing in her, she would become powerful one day as long as she was given the time.

Though how much time she needed eluded the Uchiha who then got an idea so crazy… It might even work. Or it would kill her, he wasn’t sure which one yet but he didn’t particularly care, from what she had said to him she was used to being put into situations where it was succeed or die, Hoshigaki always was a wild one that was for sure.

He turned to address the girl who was now napping for some reason, probably to regain chakra and energy or something, he didn’t care too much. He kicked her awake and she bolted with a yelp. “Hey what was that for?” the young blonde grumpily enquired.

Uchiha’s tone became condescending. “I’m going to teach you a new jutsu, one more powerful then the basic lightning jutsu I have been teaching you so far.” Amarante’s face light up. ‘Yay a new jutsu’ was the only thing going through her mind as the Uchiha clan member continued.

“The jutsu is called the lightning hound, for obvious reasons as you will soon see” he informed her, making some quick hands seals to fast for Amarante to see, Uchiha obviously taking it seriously. He held the ‘dragon’ sign and sparks instantly began to sprout from his hand.

The sparks quickly took to the form of some kind of beam, the beam shooting off and taking the appearance of a dog. The dog remained attached to Uchiha’s hand by means of a length of lightning chakra which acted similar to a lead that people would use on regular dogs, walking around the park, or at least Amarante was going to refer to it as such, she didn’t care what other people had to say about it.

“You can control the lightning hound jutsu as you wish though even I find this to be a daunting task at times” the Uchiha piped up, Amarante turning her attention away from the dog to him. “Also… The jutsu has a range of seventy metres when mastered and will inflict a devastating electrical surge through your opponent.”

The Uchiha let the jutsu fade and ushered for Amarante to give it a shot. “Well now then why don’t you have a go at it but know that. If you hold the jutsu for too long your arm will suffer severe consequences and you’ll lose use of it, possibly forever if you’re not careful.”

Amarante swallowed a lump in her throat. This jutsu definitely had some good advantages but it also had some severe disadvantages. She didn’t want to look like a pussy in front of Uchiha though so she decided to give it a shot. “Right well then how about you tell me what the hand signs are all I give it a go.”

The Uchiha nodded. “Yes, the hand signs are ‘Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, Bull, Dog, Rat, Snake, Dragon’ and you must hold the final dragon.” Amarante nodded in understanding.

“Right well stand back and let me give it a go” she told the Uchiha who complied and gave her some space. She quickly flipped through the hand signs though at a pace where she felt she could still build up enough chakra and called out the techniques name.

“Lightning Hound Jutsu” she called and sparks adorned her hand but it quickly fizzled. Amarante signed and went through the hand signs again. She went at a slower pace this time, trying to rectify if she had gone to fast last time and built up her chakra further.

“Lightning Hound Jutsu” she once again called. Sparks once again adorned her hand and sprouted a few inches from her hand. It wasn’t much but it was progress at least. She imagined that it was going to be another long training session for her to get this one down.

Amarante scrunched up her face in annoyance. She wasn’t getting anywhere fast with her current methods of training but hey it had to be done, she wasn’t even at a point where she could ask for some advice from Uchiha at this point.

Forming the hand signs again she called out the techniques name one more time before deciding against it for a while. “Lightning Hound Jutsu!” she wailed as sparks emerged from her finger tips. The sparks were equal to that of her first attempt proving that she had gone backwards in her training.

Amarante sighed as she heard the Uchiha speak. “Don’t rush through the technique, you’re going to have to be patient if you want to make any progress” he said as Amarante turned to face him.

Amarante’s facial expression became critical. “Tell me something I don’t know Mr. Obvious!” she barked in annoyance forming the hand signs again. As she focused her chakra she heard Uchiha mumble something about this being so close to canon it should be deleted or something but she didn’t care.

She activated the jutsu and brought sparks forth to what looked like something similar to her second attempt. “Well back in the positive region now again aren’t we?” she muttered to herself. Forming the hand signs again she tried the jutsu once more, taking her time building up her chakra in her hand.

She held the jutsu within her hand for as long as she felt she could this time before releasing it out in front of her and this time her improvement was obvious. The stream of lightning chakra she called forth sailed about a foot in front of her hand and urged to be allowed to continue forward but Amarante’s current level of training forbade it.

Amarante smirked a small smirk of victory before continuing on with her training. “Well that’s a small amount of progress you made” she heard the Uchiha comment as she reformed the hand signs. “Be sure not to hold it for too long or you’ll regret it” he warned.

Amarante brushed him off. “Yeah, yeah I know” she assured the older man. “I won’t.” Building her chakra she let out another stream of lightning chakra which was once again one foot long and wanting to push out further. She let the jutsu die down and took a quick overview of her situation.

She could tell that the jutsu wanted to go longer but she couldn’t hold onto it for that long. Plus if she built it up to long in her arm, judging by what the Uchiha said the consequences would mean shit for her. Damn this thing is to freaking hard.

Using her frustration as a driving force, Amarante formed the hand signs nice and slowly, building up her chakra as she went and held the dragon hand sign. She then pushed her chakra forth out of her right hand and created a stream of lightning that pushed out one foot in length still edging to go further.

‘Damn it go further!’ she internally screamed, pushing her chakra out as hard as she could. The stream took a continuous drain of her chakra but pushed out forward another foot equalling two feet in length. The Jutsu wanted to go further though and thinned out to three feet but quickly fazed out of existence.

Amarante slowly began to chuckle through her panting. She’d managed to increase the techniques range but it wasn’t without a cost. She had a long way to go before mastering this technique but she wasn’t deterred. She had to impress the Uchiha, if she didn’t he probably wouldn’t teach her anymore.
