finding the thief [MISSION][P]

....beginning of a long day

Tenji had just accepted his first mission, finally giving a lending hand to help out the village. Though it was not much and just C ranked, he could use the money and the experience. Indeed, unenthusiastic about the whole thing, his pockets were running low on ryo. The sound of his sandals were heard exiting from the tower. Briefly reading the mission description, all that was needed of him; was to capture the thief or thieves that had been causing havoc around the village. He did not know if there was one or many more, this was defiantly a mission that could take a couple of days. Tenji had took the mission early in the morning. This would surly give him the advantage over the enemy. It's funny, all the stores that were being rubbed were locals, which means his target did not have much guts. Stealing from defenseless, hard working owners. Did he have any pride. But now he has taken it to another level, breaking and entering people homes, Unforgivable.

Tenji's opinion, he's not a good thief. He hasn't only been spotted once, but it's been a few occasions were he was seen running from the scene. Enough with the thinking, it was time to take action. From reports, someone caught a glance of our thief. Tenji reading the directions, headed towards the home of the victim. Upon reaching the home, he knocked. boom, boom, boom Three firm knocks on the door could be heard. Waiting, someone finally answered the door. The victim was a female, no older than twenty five. Tenji's hat positioning created a shadow, hiding his eye's from the young women. He would begin a series of questions.

"Ahhh.. Well, really not the guy to talk, but since this is for the village. I guess I'll have to go along... I'm here because you've reported, you gained a visual description of the thief. Is that correct?

The young women nodded her head up and down. Tenji would go on to continue his questions. Ten minutes later, having all the answers he needed. A quick wave goodbye, he was on his way. From what he got from the women, it was only one of them. He stood around five feet 6 inches, very skinny, a full beard, more then three inches long. He was also acrobatic from what she said. Tenji would take this information and began to plot.

One of the victims has the description of the suspect, so it'd probably be best to start there.

Tenji successfully gathered the needed information for the mission to advance. Now all that was needed, where would the thief strike this time? He knew it would be a night, like any normal robber. Their were so many houses and stores here in the village, this might take him a while to cover the ground, by foot at least. Tenji being the guy he is, had a couple plans up his sleeve. Tenji sat and thought it all through, knowing that the next robbery would take place at night time, it made it allot easier for him to get his plan together. Though it may seem easy, it hadn't Tenji needed to be at the right place, at the right time for him to catch this thief in action. Tenji decided he would wait til tomorrow before he took extreme measures for now. He would stay on guard, near the homes and local stores.

Walking around the village, he tried to remember everything, about every place. This would help him notice if something was different. He continued to patrol the most local and common area's of the village. It was a bit hard to remember everything. There were many people out, walking, just like him. Sooner or later, he knew it would die down. In the mean time, he went around giving out the description of the thief to the villagers. With no success, no one knew anything. As expected, he knew it would not be this easy. The night approached, the village became less crowded, Tenji used this to get familiar with the stores, homes and their locations. Keeping his ears open for any sounds, would is thief really be that careless? Tenji looked up at the moon, he knew he would have to pull an all nighter tonight. His feet grew tired, walking and walking. He would take this patrol to the air. Reaching, grabbing his painting scroll, quickly drawing a bird onto the paper, with the common handseal. His drawing would come to life.

Hopping on top of the bird, he used his chakra to ascend to the sky. This gave him a much better view of the village and any movement for the thief. Tenji, covered much more ground this way as well, but his feet patrol did help. He gained allot of knowledge on the surrounding area, along with spots, shortcuts, things like that. He just hoped his thief would come out soon, so this could all be over.

sky patrol... great.

Tenji eye's grew heavy, as the moon had been out for sometime now. Not wanting to look at any clocks, not wanting to know the time. He knew if he did, he might grow tired then he already was. Tenji knew he had to stay wake, a quick slap to the face would surly do the job. Rubbing his cheek, slapping himself a bit too hard. He made sure not to lose focus on the objective, find this thief. Looking down over the village, a small figure was seen sneaking around the village, it seemed he was on the look at. Taking everything carefully and slow, Tenji did the same thing, watching him. Lowering his bird closer to the village ground, just high enough were he got a good look over the village.

Slowly following the mans action, could this be the thief? Tenji squinted his eye's trying to get a good visual on the strange, creepy men. Tenji got close enough to see what he needed. Small, skin and that long full beard, this was the thief. Would he really make his next move tonight? No he wouldn't Tenji would not allow it. Lowering his bird to the ground, releasing the chakra from it, he hopped to the ground. He did not want the thief to know how he got around easily, so following him by foot was much smarter. Watching as he went creepily. yard from yard, window for window. Tenji did not know if this was the guy. He had to catch him in action before he could take any type of force.

Tenji, hiding behind a wall, carefully looking around it's corner. It appeared the thief had stopped. Was he about to commit the crime he needed to take action? Yes he was. Watching as he took something from his bag, he begin to toggle with the doorknob. Tenji quickly sprung into action, but it was too carelessly. Forgetting his sandals created allot more noise as he ran towards the thief, he was noticed. The thief quickly took of, fast then Tenji expected, watching as he hoped over fences and jumped on top of houses, roof to roof. Tenji remember the women told him, he was very acrobatic. Tenji kept up with the thief, then a smoke bomb was used. Creating smoke all around the area. Realizing he lost his target, he did not lose hope, he knew he could catch him.

my thief... is a loser.

Tenji waved his hand, trying to get the smoke to clear. Heading in the opposite direction of the smoke, Tenji looked up at the clear sky. It seems the sun was just rising. One day down, just great.... Tenji did not plan to go another day if he actually saw the thief in action, but it seemed he had a couple trips of his own as well. Tenji did not know if his opponent was smart to strike again the next night, but he would most defiantly be prepared. Tenji knew morning was just braking, so this would defiantly give him some time to get some shut eye, but he would not leave the village unguarded. Tenji began to think, why doesn't he search for his opponent then waiting for him to strike. Tenji knew with his jutsu, he would be able to nap and search for his opponent at the same time. Taking out his painting scroll once more, he began to draw with his brush. Creating, thirty five small rats.

These rats would scan the village lands one area at a time. Tenji did know who he was looking for, so this would make his search much easier. Tenji released the rats to scan the area. In the meanwhile, he headed towards a nice spot, on top of the roof. Tenji rested, while his ink creations did all the work. The mice would not com back without the location of the thief, this was a sure thing. He just hoped it was before the thief could make his next move. Resting, his mice put in major work. Secretly moving around the village, sneaking into people home, through small cracks and little opening. They were able to get a good view on who all was there and a clear picture of their face.

Moving from house to house, area to area, there search had been going on for some while now. Tenji stilling resting on the rooftops, several hours had pass. People had been getting on with life as it is, little did they know, their house could be next for the thief to strike. Their search would finally pay off, spotting the thief in the same clothes for last nice, long beard, short and skinny. The mice, continued to follow him everywhere. He had been moving for some time now. It seemed he was finally heading home now, carefully following him, he finally stopped, was this hid hideout? Following him inside the house, allot of different items was located, this had to be it. Quickly rushing out a crack through the home, remembering the location, they headed back to Tenji, reporting the information.

Tenji heard the sound of the small mice, as he had been waken for sometime now. Tenji hoped off the rooftop, walking into the shadow, bending down, gaining all the information from the rat. Fully rested, little time was wasted before he sprung into action. Once more using his painting scroll, creating the same board as before with his ink. Tenji rises to the sky, in route to the thief's hideout. The bird made his trip much quicker. It would be no time before he floating over the thief's house. Tenji had his plan already planned out, he would bust in the door and take the thief by force, easy enough. Bring his bird to the ground, Tenji hopped, leaving the bird waiting outside.

Tenji peeked through the window, making sure his target was still their. Tenji idea was to do this swift and unheard. Still peeking through the window, he performed his clan signature handseal, as a shadow extended from his body. He controlled his shadow, entering the house underneath the crack the of the door. Tenji continued to look through the window as he shadow took control of his opponent, Shadow Imitation, caught. Tenji made his way towards the door, not being able to see his opponent, he was sure his movements were the same. Reaching the door, kicking it down, entering the home. Tenji using his chakra within his ink, creating a clone of himself, his opponent still trapped within his shadow, the clone easily walked behind the thief, hitting the back of his neck knocking him unconscious.

Releasing the shadow from his opponent. Taking out his ink brush, flicking it towards his opponent hands and feet, binding them together with stinky ink. Placing the dead weight of the thief on his shoulder, carrying him outside. Hopping and placing the thief on the bird. Tenji flew towards the village prison, he would drop the thief off at prison with a couple chuunin. Tenji was now to go collect his reward from the kage.
