Just Around The Corner [Travel]

The morning sun shone softly against my pearl colored skin. The warmness of it felt absolutely gorgeous. I would lean against a tree in wait for my companion and his companion to arrive before we set off to our destination.

Tanzaku Gai had many shops, but only one had drawn to our attention. Apparently many robberies have occurred in this particular shop and is was our job -My two companions and I - to prevent anymore objects and ryo from going missing.

My sharp Blue-Gray eyes would scan the forest beside my home village's gate in search of my two newly found friends. One a young man, the other a white Artic wolf. At first I did not like the idea of a wolf being involved, but that had soon passed once I grew used to him. Yet I do not know my new friends too well, but I was surely fond of them.

I listened to the gentle noises of the wind that blew around me, taking in the soft howling sounds as it rushed passed my ears. The birds chirping away and the leaves rustling in the trees and bushes nearby, these plants gave Konoha it's name. And despite the color green, of which I loathed most out of all colors, I found the scenery pleasant and somewhat beautiful...

With fluid motions Koga and Ichiro would just be leaving the gate when they spotted her only fifteen meters away or so, leaning on a tree. An idea would pop within the mind of Koga's as he would motion to Ichiro they both would seem to disappear quickly as if never there. Unsure if she'd spot them in that short time period, their flickers of movement would soon land them behind her. Literally, right behind her. Koga would lean forward over her shoulder only slightly and whisper "Beauty lies in more than just this weather," a slight grin would spread across his chin. Ichiro to his left would quirk his head slightly unsure of what was just going on. Koga could only hope she enjoyed the compliment, for it was more than true. Words somehow escaped him on what to really say, though those had been the only ones left in his mind at the time.

The wind had appeared to pick up slightly now as I stood there. No-one familiar had turned up or anything, and for those who did pass me, I would smile and say nothing. A few more moments went by and a slight glimmer of white shone from the corner of my eye. The glimmer could have easily represented the reflection of a headband. But why did I get the feeling that it wasn't sunlight?

Just then a soft voice would speak from behind me. A compliment tat no-one has even said to me before. I felt touched and not to mention delighted to hear that that voice was coming from Koga. I spun around on the balls of my heels and caught Koga's shoulders to steady myself before putting my most warmest smile on. “Thank you, you are indeed a very sweet young man!” I said silkily and brought my face up to kiss his cheek. But when I lowered myself back to the ground, my cheeks suddenly grew hot. My eyes immediately dropped down to my feet, also avoiding eye contact with Ichiro.

“Uh... I'm sorry...” I then blurted out, face burning. “Uh... Shall we uh... move on?” I then muttered and started to fidget. I prayed for some sort of distraction, but luck was surely not on my side. I felt helpless and was fighting the urge to look at him. Had I scared him off? His compliment was overwhelming, and I probably just blew it by kissing him. I bit my lip as I stood there for a few moments before awkwardly forcing myself to walk. Tanzaku wasn't that far from Konoha as I once helped escort the Hokage there to meet the Yukikage there. I even wondered what restaurant was being targeted for robbery.

Her soft lips pressed against his cheeks as he felt the warmth of blood fill his face. Ichiro's head would quirk to the side confused as to what he had just witnessed. Though Koga was completely caught off guard, sure he could flirt and pour his heart and soul into his words. He'd rarely ever have success in his attempts, so to win the appreciation of Natsumi was to win the world. Left speechless, she'd begin to try and distract from the moment, embarressed as to what just happened. Thank God his jaw wasn't hanging open as he seemed to have a gaze as if nobody was there, rosey cheeks and a dumb smile on his face. No response, Natsumi would begin to walk towards Tanzaku, Ichiro would watch as his best friend still stood there in shock.

Glancing back at Natsumi as she walked away, the wolf would quickly bit onto the pants of Koga and tug slightly trying to wake him from his dead sleep gaze. No use, it would be a quick chomp on the hanging left hand that would snap the man from his daze. "Dang Ichiro!!! What did you do that for?" he'd exclaim as he lept away from his friend. Ichiro would then turn and run to catch up with Natsumi, walking on her right side. Koga's eyes would watch and then the dots connected. 'Oh ya! The mission!' he'd think to himself as he'd quickly head off to catch up to his teammates. Seeing that they weren't too far from him at this point. He'd come up on Natsumi's right, his cheeks still red from the enjoyment, the situation running through his head over and over again. A loop like a broken record...[/blockquote][/size]

OOC: I'm sorry if my PM sounded horrible... I'm just a bit panicky I guess. And since the exams are coming up, and this is my final mission... Yeah lol so sorry about that...

I wondered if the same thoughts were going through Koga's mind as they went through mine? I had not expected to kiss him, but it just all slipped out. And the weird thing was that I didn't care if anyone was watching. My cheeks were still scarlet no doubt, but I did drop the pace so that Koga and Ichiro would catch up. I had noticed that Ichiro had already reached me, the poor wolf had to strain to keep a slow pace. Upon seeing him I would smile and say nothing. I was still slightly iffy about the wolf's company, but Ichiro seemed more at ease through, which was good.

About half an hour went by and I could have sworn neither Koga nor Ichiro were breathing. The awkwardness of this little walk was indeed frustrating because I wanted to say something. I just had to. I glanced at both of my companions, but as soon as my eyes laid on Koga, the scene from this morning would return. Blushing, I would look away. The morning breeze kept me awake against the heat. My corset was tied a bit too tight and I was in need of a drink. But noticing the frist couple of houses coming into view, made me feel better. I decided that as soon as I reached the restaurant, I was definitely going to buy everyone a drink.

“Is anyone thirsty? Hungry?” I then said just as we passed the first house. The gates of Tanzaku were in view...
