"The straw that broke the camels back"
There's a shinobi from the village of Kusagakure, just a genin but with a past shrouded in death and disappointment. One of the last Zassou still in the public eye of Kusagakure Zassou Issac has spent almost the entirety of the last five years attempting to remake a name for the Zassou Clan. To bring the clan some respect and put them in a good standing with the village. Issac was an ace coming out of the academy, one of the strongest by determination and did his fair share of work as soon as he graduated. When it came to his ninja duties Issac was actually praised by one of the kages for being her go to man for important tasks. Hotaru Hanakora Yondaime Kusakage, with her death Issacs world began to change. Madam Hotaru lead the village through most of Issacs early ninja days. It seemed after her death the village had a hard time holding itself together. There still hasn't been a stable Kage since then. Issac held strong trying to push himself to become a stronger ninja and a stronger man. It seemed like Kusa wasn't the only one that was cursed. The first Chuunin exam Issac participated in he was accompanied by a fellow Zassou a young boy in comparison. Sadly though the young Zassou died in only the first round. Due to the rules Issac was disqualified before he could go any farther. Training hard and time and time again going through the exams only to be failed for small mistakes. Waking up forgotten and discarded in an abandoned city was what lead Issac to change his views of the world. Not the proctors or his fellow shinobi bothered to find him. The Kage a Hoshigake who was newly appointed hadn't made it through the exams with his life so Issac could at least be grateful for that. Issac couldn't understand the death tolls from these exams he thought they were to test the shinobis skills in the field not just to kill them. It didn't make sense to him. It seemed as though the young genin were scared to go fearing for their lives. The number at attendance dropped every exam.
The exam Issac had just been through didn't have a very high number of entrants and as far as Issac knew there was only one other Shinobi who had made it through the exam and he had been given the right to make the rank of Chuunin. Issac was angry with himself for not being able to get a hold of his chakra and passing out due to the exhaustion. This one mistake and he didn't get make it to the next level. If Issac had tried to fight that man hand to hand he would have actually gotten hurt instead of just passing out. Issac had faced enough disappointment for one lifetime. He needed something more he needed to be stronger. Issac began to hate what it meant to be a shinobi. Being a diplomatic tool ready for disposal. Issac began to have a different outlook when it came to the future of himself and the Village of Kusagakure. Issac had enough of failing the exams. Things would have to be very different from now on. Issac wanted to grow by gaining knowledge and he had gone into this exam with that intention but sadly both the shinobi he went with disappeared before he could find anything out about them and he didn't see any other shinobi from his own or any other village. So as far as information retrieval that was also a fail. Issac began walking from the exams at a slow pace. He needed time to think everything over his plans called for time. He would need powerful connections and the resources and leverage to make it work. Issac could already feel the unrest in the village he knew it wouldn't take much to stir things up.
Peering into the distance Issacs violet eyes locked onto the horizon. His green hair was flat and slightly matted to his head from the sweat and dirt of the dungeon. He was in desperate need of a shower but it wasn't exactly the most important thing on his mind. His harness and vest were left undone but his jacket was zipped all the way up to protect him from the oncoming winds. His pants were still damp with who knows what and his pouches loosey hung where they were supposed to. "Five times now I haven't been able to do it. I don't know how much more of this I can take. I know my plans will require time but I need to be able to progress through the village if I want to make my dreams a reality. I must get back to Kusa and collect myself. I have to recalculate the way things will have to work out.
