Name: Hikaze, Blaine Bloodlimit: N/A Height: 177 cm. Weight: 60 kg. Age: 20 Gender: Male Alignment: Neutral, True Birth Country: Hi No Kuni Village: Iwagakure Special
Katana Rank: "C" Type: Main Effect: Swords capable of slashing, slicing, and stabbing enemies to make a kill. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: A katana is considered to be the standard blade of any swordsman. Traditionally, the blade is forged from heated bars of tamahagane which are pounded out and folded to reduce impurities. The blade, once forged, measures anywhere between seventy and seventy-three centimeters and affixed to a steel or iron guard atop an oak handle. Handles are tailored to each individual swordsman to ensure that both hands grip properly. At the bottom of the handle is a pommel designed to be the exact counterweight of the blade to balance the weapon. Limit: These types of weapons may be bought inside any Weapon Shop Cost: 4,000
Blaine possesses a red katana which happens to be a family heirloom. The katana has seen many battles, and had 5 owners in total. It is always passed down to the eldest son when he becomes 16.
I plan to acquire a great sword (like the one in his picture) later on in his life
Secondary Items:
Kunai (Overview) x20 = 10 Slots Rank: "C" Rank Type: Secondary, 2 per Slot, Combative, Projectile/Melee, Knife Effect: A digging tool, a bit like a trowel. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Also used as a knife. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: The kunai is conventionally wrought in ranges from 6 to 8 inches, with the average at 7 inches. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a crowbar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife. There could be multiple kinds of kunais such as handless ones, or even double sided kunais as long as they are within the same length. Limit: These types of items may be capable of being bought inside any Weapon Shop. Cost: 1,000 Ryo per Slot, or 500 Ryo Each.
Hira-Shuriken (Overview) x60 = 4 Slots Rank: "C" Rank Type: Secondary, 15 per Slot, Combative, Projectile, Shuriken Effect: Is a concealed weapon that is generally for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Hira-shuriken is constructed from thin, flat plates of metal derived from a variety of sources including hishi-gane (coins), and kugi-nuki (carpentry tools), and generally resemble popular conceptions of shuriken. In modern popular culture, these are called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars". They often have a hole in the center and possess a fairly thin blade sharpened only at the tip. The holes derive from their source in items that had holes - old coins, washers, and nail-removing tools. This proved convenient for the shuriken user, as well, as the weapons could be strung on a string or dowel in the belt for transport, and the hole also had aerodynamic and weighting effects that aided the flight of the blade after it was thrown. There is a wide variety of forms of hira-shuriken and they are now usually identified by the number of points the blades possess. Limit: These types of items may be capable of being bought inside any Weapon Shop. Cost: 1,500 Ryo per Slot, or 100 Ryo Each.
Grenade: Stun x1 = 1 Slot Rank: "C" Type: Secondary, 1 per Slot, Combative, Explosive, Grenade Effect: A stun grenade, also known as a flash-bang, is a nonlethal weapon. These grenades are used to temporally neutralize the combat effectiveness of enemies by usually disorienting their senses. Special: --- Drawback: May harm the user if not thrown right. Description: A stun grenade, also known as a flash-bang, is a non-lethal weapon. These grenades are used to temporally neutralize the combat effectiveness of enemies by usually disorienting their senses. When making contact it releases a flash of light that momentarily activates all light sensitive cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately 5 seconds until the eye restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The incredibly loud blast produced by the grenade adds to its incapacitating properties by disturbing the fluid in the ear which also lasts approximately 5 seconds until the ear restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The flash bang has a radius damage of 15 meters. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes. Limit: These types of items may be capable of being bought inside any Weapon Shop. Cost: 1,500 Ryo Each
Blaine is a calm person. He handles himself well under pressure, and rarely ever seems fazed by anyone. Blaine is the type of person that likes to keep to himself, and hates to bother anyone else with his problems. Because of this, Blaine also expects other people not to bother him with their problems. He is closed off, and at the moment, has no close friends. The most important person in his life right now is his father, whom he shares a strong connection with. This is mainly because all that Blaine knows was taught to him by his father.
Due to him possessing quite the unique combination of 'tools' (explained in history), Blaine has learned to make use of his time, and develop his gift further. He usually trains alone, the only exception being times when someone else is teaching him a technique. After a hard training session, Blaine likes to relax in an inn, or to go back home and call it a day. He sees no need to take sides in someone else's conflict, for he believes that 'good and evil' don't exist, just people who make different choices for different reasons. Because of this, Blaine will get annoyed if other people try to interfere with his business. As cold as his outer shell is, Blaine really longs for a friend, which he hasn't had in a long time.
Blaine likes to work solo, especially missions. He has learned that having other people disrupt his plan of action is annoying, especially when the mission is important. Blaine would never be a follower, and would simply exit a team if he had to obey someone else's order. He was taught from when he was little that only the strongest will survive, and that the weak will band together like sheep to live their miserable lives. Blaine is quick to solve matters with his sword.
Appearance:
Blaine's hair is unusually long for a male. It is messy and unstyled. To keep the hair from falling onto his face, Blaine wears a headband. This headband isn't the typical metal/blue cloth headbands you get. It is completely red, with the Iwagakure symbol engraved into it. Blaine is considered a good looking man, but he rarely ever smiles. His face is usually either serious or not bothered. His nose is of average size. Blaine's eyes aren't really anything special either, although some people have been fascinated by them, purely because the shade of orange in his eyes looks beautiful.
Blaine doesn't like too much clothing restricting his movements, this is why he wears the minimal amount. His top of choice is a black tank top. The tank top is strangely tight enough for his muscles to show through. On top of the tank top, Blaine wears a red vest. The vest has two lapels sticking out at the sides, and is held together in the middle by a leather strap. When it comes to his hands, Blaine wears brown gloves. This is to protect his hands from any serious damage that can occur during battle. It also keeps his hands from blistering when he trains, doing countless drills to get a technique perfect.
Moving on down, Blaine wears a brown leather belt, with a metal plate at the front. The plate has the word 'free' engraved on it. This symbolises Blaine's belief that everyone should follow their own beliefs, and not be held down by other's actions. The belt sits on top of a pair of white trousers. The trousers looks somewhat like jeans, but the material is much softer, and the jeans pattern is non-existent. To cover his feet, Blaine wears a pair of red boots. They are made of a sturdy material, and could practically last him a lifetime.
History:
Blaine was born into a financially troubled family. They lived in Iwagakure, and his dad was the breadwinner of the family. Instead of working as a full-time shinobi, his father opted to be a hitman, and often received contracts that required him to kill other shinobi. This was the only thing that kept his Blaine's parents from going bankrupt, and Blaine admired his father for being able to support his family like that. As troubled as the family was, they had traditions. The eldest son of each generation would always go on to learn the art of the shinobi, and other siblings could follow if they wanted to. However, seeing as Blaine was the eldest son, a ritual took place.
The ritual was the biggest tradition they had in the family. It's purpose was to find out what kind of fighting style the child possesses. The tradition consisted of the child using special cards to find out their element. Then, the family elder (usually the oldest person in the family), whom happened to be Blaine's great grandmother, used a technique to determine what kind of weapon the child was suited for. Blaine's combination turned out to be fire and the great sword, a rare combination indeed. Due to the great sword being such an advanced and rare weapon, Blaine was given a katana to start off with.
Helping his mum out at home meant that Blaine would have to miss attending the academy, and was taught by his father instead. He learned everything the children at the academy learned, and when the time came to take the examinations, Blaine passed with flying colours. There was a big advantage to having his father teach him, and that was the fact that the training was already focused on his future fighting style. Blaine learned fire techniques, and basic swordsmanship. On his 20th birthday, Blaine was informed that it was time for him to set out and start his own family. He was given some starting money by his parents, and after an emotional goodbye, Blaine was free to do what he wanted.
Chuuhan no Shisei (Middle Level Posture) Freebie 1 Rank: "E" Skill: Taijutsu Effect: A stance with a sword held at the midsection. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Chuuhan no Shisei is the most basic of the six stances of Gyakusatsu and offers the optimal balance between offense and defense. The user brings his/her sword to the midsection held in a forty-five degree angle upwards with the dominate hand held at the top of the handle below the guard. The stance is used to transition easily between offense and defense as well as counters. The feet match the positioning of the hands with the dominate side in the forefront. Limit: Gyakusatsu
Hikui no Shisei (Lower Level Posture) Freebie 2 Rank: "E" Skill: Taijutsu Effect: A stance with a sword held below the waist. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Hikui no Shisei is the most defensive of the six stances of Gyakusatsu and offers the highest peak of defense, deflecting, and creating striking opprotunities. The user brings his/her sword to point at the opponent's lower body, typically around the knee or thigh area. The hands are held with the dominate hand near the top of the handle and the feet match with the dominate foot in the forefront. Limit: Gyakusatsu
Katon no Jutsu (Fire Release Skill) Freebie 3 Rank: "C" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: --- Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: With this skill, or release, the user is now capable of using, and performing techniques that deal with the element of Fire. This means that any NinJutsu or specialized TaiJutsu that deals the Fire Release will need this in order to be performed correctly. Limit: --- Heat Mastery, when a user reaches to a point where they gain the full potential and understanding of fire and Heat the user is capable of many things. A technique such as this is a mastery of all Fire Techniques to where they do not have to worry about Minor Burns.
Techniques:
Hanabi no Shinka (Fire Flower of Evolution) Rank: “E” Rank Skill: Ninjutsu, Offensive, Defensive, Pre-requisite Effect: Creates a small flower made of flames with six petals that are each six inches long. Special: “Hand Seals”- Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Rabbit, Tiger, extending the left hand away from the body, then using the thumb, index, and middle fingers in a triangle-like formation. Drawback: This ability has no real value beyond using it within a combo attack. Description: This jutsu creates a flower made entirely of flames. The user performs the required hand seals, channeling chakra through the left hand’s thumb, index, and middle fingers. The left hand is then moved away from the body, and the three mentioned fingers form a triangle shape, while the other two fingers close like the user would make a fist. The built chakra then move upwards and out of the hand, sparking to life and creating a flower with six petals that are six inches long each. If the triangle formation is ever broken, then the entire flame disappears. This ability can almost be treated like a fighting style stance. Each use of a Hanabi no Shinka will require a set amount of petals to be used; after the petals have all been used, the ability must be re-performed. Any time that a part of the Hanabi no Shinka has been destroyed, so long as the whole flower is not destroyed, it will slowly regenerate unless it has been used for an attack. Limit: Requires the Fire Release
Hanabi no Shinka: Mi (Fire Flower of Evolution, Seed) Rank: “D” Rank, 5x “E” Rank Potential Additional Training Skill: Ninjutsu, Offensive Effect: Uses one of the petals of the Hanabi no Shinka to create a small orb of fire in the right hand. Special: The forward movement of the index finger of the hand holding the Hanabi no Shinka. Drawback: Uses one of the petals of the Hanabi no Shinka. Description: The Orb ability of the Fire Flower of Evolution is a simple cantrip. Once the user has the Hanabi no Shinka in play, all the user must do is move the index finger of the left hand forward, and one of the petals of the flower will seemingly fade. The user will then open their right hand, revealing an orb of flame that bursts into life. The orb itself is small, with a diameter of about three inches. The orb itself hovers about two inches from the hand. The user at this point can either attack or continue a combo chain. Each time “E” rank training is performed, the shinobi then gains the ability to create one more orb. However, the ratio is always 1:1 for petals: orbs, so creating additional orbs will still require a petal. Limit: Must know Hanabi no Shinka
Katon - Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Great Fireball Technique) Rank: "C" "B" Rank Skill: NinJutsu Effect: The user is capable of performing a few handseals in which gives them the capability of blowing a large body of fire in size of a large sphere that has great fire proportions and explosive capabilities. Special: "Handseals" Drawback: Depending on the Rank, is dependent on how strong or how much the user is capable of doing with the Goukakyuu no Jutsu. Description: The user quickly performs a few handseals. The user then places the hand over their mouth creating a small like circle. This technique in turn is then to help the user control the great flame. The use then blows out and creates a large fireball that twice the size of a normal human body. When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating. Limit: Must have the Fire Release
Katon Kyuuka (Fire - Flame Sphere Technique) Rank: "C" "B" "A" "S” Rank Skill: NinJutsu Effect: A Defensive technique to where the user concentrates on the chakra within their body. The user pushes the chakra out as they use the body heat within their very body to create a sphere of flaming heat all around the user in a grand radius. Depending on how well the user knows this technique is dependent on the distance, this technique can be used. Special: "Handseals" Drawback: If the user is capable of performing this technique twice in a battle or twice within every ten rounds, the user will collapse with fatigue and high temperature. Description: This technique is used as a defensive style technique. The user concentrates on the chakra within their body and exerts out in a large blast. The chakra is pushed out in a blazing flame and creates a large amount of heat to be used as a defensive technique. The technique pushes or removes anything around the user, to allow the user an amount of space needed. When first learned the technique is capable of being pushed in a five-meter radius. Each Rank learned the technique increases in distance by ten meters. This would be the basis for all NinJutsu Specialists. However if the user is a Non NinJutsu Specialist the distance only increases by five meters. If the user is a NinJutsu Master, the distance increases by fifteen meters. Limit: Must have the Fire Release
Katon: Hibashiri: (Fire Element: Racing Fire) Rank: "C", "B" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: A Fire technique in which the user shoots out two streams of fire along each side of the user towards a group of enemies in which encircles around the enemy creating a wall of fire. Special: "Handseals" Drawback: --- Description: The user first performs the handseals that they need. Then they slam their hands together as the user concentrates along the heat around them. Focusing their chakra, two streams of fire is launched from the user, one along the left, and another along the right. These streams shoot off towards multiple enemies. The user is capable of creating streams of fire within the distance of fifty meters, encircling enemies within twenty-meter radius. The fire is two meters in width as the height reaches up to five meters in the air as it spins violently trapping those within. This type of fire is used as an encasing Jutsu, capable of trapping the opponents inside using intensive heat for the enemy. This type of fire when first learned the user is capable of just encircling the enemies as the speed of the fire entraps the enemies within. When the user learns the "B" Rank version of this technique the user is capable of enclosing the Fire to burn the enemies within a ring of fire as it ends. This process takes one turn to do. This technique is also capable of being used to shoot out a ring of fire towards the opponents if the user wishes. Limit: Must have the Fire Release
