These are considered to be as personalized techniques that affects the opponent's mind. These techniques could be messages, dream stopping, complete disarray techniques. Phantasm Techniques are known to harm the person's mind, making them feel weaker, harming them through the perception of the mind but not with real life effects. Phantasm techniques are all in their heads, and are known to make people go crazy. Third parties viewing or studying the scene do not notice the phantasm. All phantasms are mind-affecting Jutsus.

Description: Glamour Perception changes a person's sensory qualities, making it look, feel, taste, smell, or sound like something else, or even seem to disappear. This means a person could hear something that is not there, feel something that is not there, taste something that is not there, see something that is not there. Glamour are basically hallucinations, delusions, making someone feel, see, taste, smell, or hear something that is not there, or make something not exist while being there. Glamour is illusions, used for distractions, confounding, or delaying enemies. This is not a mind affecting perception.

Description: Pattern Perception are like figments, a pattern technique creates an image that others can see, but a pattern also affects the minds of those who see it or are caught in it. This means that those who are trapped within Pattern Perception Techniques are also affected by other sensations that affects the mind itself such as blindness, unconscious, stunned, or even nausea. In affect, Patterns are very similar to Figment, however they have added affect used to subdue an opponent, harming their inner mind in a certain way to allow the user to perform more harmful techniques or escape without problems.

Drawback: Certain types of shields are too heavy for throwing and some even hinder movements. Shields are metallic and thus conduct heat and electricity as normal metal.
Description: Type of weapons that are normally circular and built with incredible thickness to withstand offensive attacks. Usually equipped with an arm strap or handle on the inside for easy defense tactics. These specific shields are of the medium variety, ranging within 2' radius all around, to about 5' (Larger shields are generally for larger protection spaces or just bigger people.) Shields are larger than bucklers and strapped along the forearm, or when idle, stored along the back of the wielder. These shields can withstand, 25 explosive secondary weapons, or one "C" rank NinJutsu technique, and a number of techniques weaker then it respectively adding up to a "C" Rank. Personality
On the face Botan you see a calm, collected person who would do anything for anyone of higher in command than him, only to better himself if nothing else. Talk to Botan and you'll quickly see that to anyone who has no controll, or athority over him, he seems to be completely rude and disrespectfull to. A typically quiet person, Botan never thought twice about most people, he wouldn't hesitate to throw most away if it benifited him. The only people he wouldn't do that to are people who he gets close to, typically people who don't force themselves on him. Botan has never been one to cause a fight, but always one to end it.
Most people deal with some sort of hardships in their lives but most didn't have ones like the hardships Botan has faced. Dealing with these hardships has allowed him to overcome his obsticalls in life, and allowed him to be cold, and swift when needed. His relentlessness can sometimes get him into trouble. He doesn't often show emotion, seeming more like he doesn't have them. No smile, no frown. Although this is just a mask that he uses that hides his emotions.
When he is alone he is usually quite. Around people he is very, very quite and will only say a few things if he has to. However once he has made friends he becomes a little bit more talkative, afterwards he seems to let his guard down at certain times. He becomes a sarcastic asshole when he sees something as humurous. He also tends to look down upon people.
Appearance
Botan face is almost always in the same expression, a cold look, no smile, a seemingly faint frown but basically neutral. He has cold, ice blue eyes, that seem to pierce people's very souls. His jet black hair reaches down just past his nose, usually covering his eyes. His nose is thin and slightly longer than the average nose but nothing that would be immidately noticed by anyone. His head is in an upside down tear type shape, with a slightly longer than average chin, that sort of blocks off at the end.
His skin tone is slightly lighter than most but he in no way is neon. He wears a black robe, with black sweats that are really baggy on him to allow unconstricted movement. He wears his black clothed headband around his neck, facing directly forward. His sandals are old, passed down from his father, they are wooden block sandals. He wears black gloves that are cut off at the first joint of each finger.
He has the Yamanaka clan symbol tatooed on the back of his neck, in pitch black ink. He has a well built body, but nothing abnormal. He carrys his shield on his back, strapped loosley around his robe. His eyes glimmer in whatever lighting he's in. His legs look sort of scrawny for his size, which is why he hides them with his baggy pants, which reach down to his slightly abnormally large size 14 feet that barely fit into the sandals he inherited from his father.
Background
Botan was supposed to have two baby sisters before he was born, both of them were miscarried, finally his mother concived him, dying in the process. His parents had lived around that area most of their lives concieving all three of the babies in the same house. They decided on the name Botan because they wanted the child to be gracefull, and gracefull he became. Throughout his life he has blamed himself for the death of his mother. His father had told him a couple of weeks after he turned six. He has held this burdon over his head for years, telling nobody that he knew about it.
At a young age, his father started teaching him the ways of the Yamanaka clan and GenJutsu, which he learned from his father who learned it from his father & exct. behind their small house. They slowly made it into an arena behind there, dirt ground and fenced off. He started trianing daily, having difficulties the entire way. First his dad taught him the hand seals, he practiced every day, when he was doing chores or when he grew older he'd still practice them just delivering letters. His father started to teach him the techniques after he turned ten years of age, Slowly he did learned, through vigerous training, day in & day out he trained, sometimes staying up untill past nightfall. Although it was difficult work, he ended up being greater than his father. As a boy his father gave him many rules, and chores, which shaped him into what he is today. On his 10th birthday his dad tatooed the clan symbol onto the back of Botan's neck
Botan ended up getting a messanger boy job at the age of 11, to help support his father. He was delivering a very important letter one day he was ambushed by 2 ninja. Suddenly two more appeared in front of him, telling him to run. But Botan was motionless. He watched as an epic battle took place, absolutley motionless. It was that day when he decided he would enter the ninja academy one day. At the age of 14 he entered the ninja acadamy. He wasn't necessarally amazing, but pretty successfull in his class. Although he did excell past most students in the art of GenJutsu. It took two years of rigerous work for him to graduate. Fresh out of the academy, not making many friends on the way, and the friends he did make he didn't seem to be close to, he felt alone, at the age of 16.

Drawback: The soul is only projected in a straight line, making it easy to dodge. If the soul transfer is dodged, the user’s body will be left comatose for at least three of the user’s posts. Any damage dealt to the possessed’s body will be suffered by the user’s body also.
Description: Directing the oval hand seal to their opponent, the Yamanaka is able to propel their soul into their opponent’s body. If the technique is successful the user can they manipulate the victim’s body. If the user has the same Class as the person possessed they may stay within the body for five posts. Effect: A technique that most GenJutsu warriors learn in order to help out an escape, or help out a situation at hand that may prove dangerous when it comes to finding their location. What the user does with this technique is it allows the user to become more diverse and secure of where they step and run off to. This technique allows the user to allow their tracks to be covered for a lengthy amount of time, depending on how far they have moved out, and how long it has taken.

Drawback: This technique somewhat increases along with the user's strength, as well as the Specialty that the user may be.
Description: What happens is that within a path as the user steps down onto the very ground the user pushes a small amount of chakra that is used for all those that come by. What occurs is that with every step the user takes upon the floor they push down a piece of chakra onto the very ground. The amount of chakra is pushed off in all directions as well as is used to mess with the very system within those who approach in which creates an illusion that steps never have occurred along the ground. When the user first learns this technique they are capable of pushing this technique in a ten-yard radius around them, but the maximum distance from the moment they start the technique can reach far past a hundred yards. This technique lasts up to a couple of hours, and this is considered the base amount for a GenJutsu NonSpecialist. If the user is a GenJutsu specialist, the very technique is increased by five yards in radius, while the technique's length is increased by ten yards, and the amount of time is increased to a total of two hours and thirty minutes. If the user is a GenJutsu Master, then the technique increases the radius of five feet from Specialist making it into twenty meters, with a distance of One hundred and forty meters, and the Time is increased to three hours. For every Class the user gains as a Non Specialist the length distance increases by ten yards, as the time increases by ten minutes. For a Specialist the distance increases by ten meters as the time increases by fifteen minutes. For Master the distance increases by fifteen meters, as the time increases by thirty minutes.

Description: A technique that has a distance of that of ten meters from the user or who the user touches. The center of the effect is mobile with the recipient. The creature or object included becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from dark vision. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. Those affected by this Jutsu can see each other and themselves as if unaffected by the Jutsu. Any affected creature moving out of the area becomes visible, but creatures moving into the area after the Jutsu are cast do not become invisible. Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Of course, the subject is not silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as stepping in a puddle). Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the Jutsu. Causing harm indirectly is not an attack.
