Higher in a branch jutsu=more handseals?

You know that there is a certain rank for jutsus and that some jutsu have another higher rank next to it which in that case are known as branch techniques.

When you learn higher versions of jutsu, do you perform the same amount of handseals you would do for the lower version?

The sort answer...yes. Jutsu that can be learned multiple times use the number of handseals for the first version learned. Unless the jutsu in question says otherwise, of course
