Primary Weapon:
Morning Star
Personality:
His view on other people isn't much different. He cares about himself most of all, yet he has the capability to develop empathy to others. He would never intentionally cause true, unrestrained agony on somebody that neither deserved it or asked for it, but he's not above giving somebody hell for doing so to him.
Cynical Asshole Even though Stein has already been established as an almost decent person thus far, it is important to know that he acts so very different around different groups or types of people. To those he considers friends, he can act like the world's biggest asshole, and as such, will tease and taunt and insult his companions, friends, or friendly acquaintances. Often he does this without even considering the consequences of doing so, such as truly hurting somebody's feelings, or throwing them into a violent unyielding rage. Anyone that truly knows him should know he never intends to truly make them uncomfortable, it's just his merciless teasing nature to act like this.
Pervert! Ah, a classic. Stein is a prime example of a pervert. If you need an understanding to how his mind works, all you'd have to do is grab a drink of sake, sit on the side of the road, and judge each and every young lady that walks in front of your gaze. Stein isn't just a closet pervert either, but he embraces his adoration of the female body openly. This, of course, causes plenty of people to look at him with resentment or anger, especially fathers and brothers and mothers.
Not a Drunk, but a Drinker Stein drinks when it is available to him, and loves every second of it. He rarely drinks enough to get sick, and he doesn't drink so much that he hates sobriety, but he does change when he's drunk.
In his alcoholic stupors, Stein often becomes a sappy romantic who cries at any sort of kindness that happens to float in the air. Towards insults, he seems to be deaf or ignorant of their meanings. In drunken combat, he seems lethargic and apathetic.
Going Nowhere No ambitions, no goals. Stein is a young man that really has no desire to advance in life. He has yet to have any great dreams to become a kage or to avenge his father's death (that would be odd since his father is alive and well). No, Stein would rather spend his days lounging and relaxing and Lady-Watching any moment he could. Who needs to find some distant desire to fulfill you when you have all the things you need, right at home?[/ul]
Appearance:
The Upper Body Stein is tall and lanky with only a slight muscular tone throughout most of his body. He, of course, thinks he's just the hottest thing with breath though. His skin is an average golden tan color from exposure to the sun, which he is more than proud of.
Clothing and Accessories Stein does not simply wear one shirt and one pair of pants everyday, but rather changes his clothing like a normal person should. More often than not, he's wearing a typical shirt of any number of colors, or even the occasional fluorescent tie-dye color-blend of shirt. His clothing choices is fairly unimpressive overall. However, once in a while Stein will dress fine and dandy, transforming his typical rugged and repulsive appearance to that of a gentleman, or at least someone of semi-high importance. That, of course, is not to say he truly is important, but only he can appear so once in a while.
However, there are a few things to take note of. Stein wears a ring on his right index finger, a token of his mother before she passed away. To him, that one small accessory, which isn't even terribly expensive or worth much, is the most important thing he has. Also, it is important to note that his morning star, when he has it with him, sleeps faithfully at his hip, left side, for quick and easy access.[/ul]

History:
Despite their attempts to keep Stein hidden from Sake, it was inevitable that he would make a friend, son of a merchant and a drinker with his father, a strange thing for a ten year old boy. Stein, who was only eight, befriended this kid who introduced him to the burning water, Sake, which was repulsive to be certain, but he wanted to seem cool to his new, and at that time only, friend. So he drank, and had fun. He quickly got sick, but the point remains that he never truly regret losing his Sake-Virginity.
After a few years, the boy and his traveling father stopped their occasional visits. There was neither letter nor word of what happened to the small time businessman and his son. Perhaps they moved to other lands or found a new profession. Whatever it is, Stein lost a friend, which he compensated with drinking in his memory.
Almost Adulthood Stein was sixteen when his mother passed away due to illness. It was a devastating experience for Stein, but it turned his father into a mere husk of a man. On his mother's death bed, she made Stein's father promise to take Stein away from this inn (she knew that without her, Stein's father wouldn't be mentally sound to run it or care for their son) and to take him to her sister in Otogakure.
Stein was more or less adopted by his aunt and uncle and became a Genin of Otogakure. Despite having no true motivation to advance in life, Stein did show promise for a very brief amount of time.
Then he fell to bitterness, which turned into lethargy and cynicism towards people, yet he claims, even today, to be happy.[/ul]

Upright Stance
Rank: "E"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A Basic upright stance used in boxing.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Picture To adopt an Upright Stance, you should stand with your legs roughly shoulder-width apart. Your back foot should be about half a step behind your front foot. If your dominant boxing hand is your right hand, your left foot will lead. Lift your right heel off the ground by about 3 inches and point both feet inward (although do not exaggerate this movement). If you lift your heel too far off the ground, or turn your feet too far inward, you will become unbalanced. As a test, imagine someone pushing you from any direction. In a properly balanced stance, you should be able to maintain an upright position and not fall to the ground or sway from side to side. To increase the stability of your stance, keep your knees and hips slightly bent but make sure your back is straight. Your lead fist (which will be your left fist if your dominant boxing hand is your right hand) should be positioned vertically at eye level, approximately six inches away from your face. Your right fist should be positioned next to your chin, with your elbow held against your ribcage. This is good defensive positioning and will effectively protect your body. Whilst watching televised boxing matches, you may have noticed the boxers tapping their cheeks with their hands. This repetitive action acts as a reminder to keep fists up at all times and is especially important as the match progresses and energy levels drop. To further protect yourself from blows from your opponent, keep your chin pressed against your chest. Punches to the jaw often cause knock-outs, so it is essential to keep this stance throughout the boxing match.
Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing)

Semi-Crouch
Rank: "E"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A semi-crouched stance used in boxing.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Picture You may choose to fight from a crouch (or semi-crouch) position during a boxing match. If you choose this option, lean forward rather than maintaining an upright position, whilst making sure your feet are kept close together. The most important thing to remember when adopting a balanced boxing stance is to relax. If you start to become tense, your balance will be negatively affected and you will be more likely to receive a harmful blow from your opponent. Your neck and back should never feel under any pressure. If your neck and back do feel tense, you may be leaning your shoulders too far forward and not rotating your hips in line with them. If you want to increase the range of your punches, try positioning your front foot ahead of your head. To see the difference that this new stance can make, stand in front of a punch bag whilst keeping your back foot steady and in the normal position. Punch forward slowly and keep your punch at its full extension. After this, move your lead foot in front of your head and repeat the punching movement. Stop the punch at its full extension and you should be able to notice the increased range now available to you. When practicing this variation, keep the other elements of the orthodox stance, such as the position of the elbows and chin, the same.
Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing)
