Doton Soushi no Jutsu (Rock Creation Technique)

Effect: A technique where the user takes the time to formulate, or create Rock in order to use other types of techniques for great usages.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: Must be learned more and more in order to be capable of performing better, and capable of producing more Rock like formations for other types of techniques. Cannot be used on Sand
Description: What occurs is that the user takes the time to push down into the ground their own chakra. As the user does this the user takes the earth like materials found within the ground which is the components of soil as they begin to formulate and harden them all around in order to create harden rock like materials. The user may slam their hands against the ground in order to use this technique or just by pushing their chakra down to the ground. A user can gain the capability of grabbing onto the very ground and molding a piece of earth into a hardened like rock. The more the user learns and the higher the Difficulty class the user becomes the more they are capable of mastering this type of technique. When first learned the user is only capable of formulating rock into the size of their hand. When the user learns the "C" Rank, version this type increases to five meters in radius. Each time learned after that, the distance increases by ten feet giving a total distance of thirty-five meters in a radius distance. For each Difficulty class the User is the larger number this distance becomes. Each Difficulty class after C The distance increases by Ten meters. This means that if a user becomes S Rank in Difficulty Class and learns the S Rank Version of this technique the user is capable of formulating Rock within a Seventy-Five meters Radius.

Amber eyes darted back and forth. Spotting the land that belonged to the blue skinned owner of these amber eyes. The blue skinned human was a male youth of the hoshigaki clan.”My usual training spots are near a lake or pond. I need a place to practice doton and perhaps mokuton. the boy wondered to himself as he made sure he was an a isolate area. The boy was in but nothing short of a large field. He wanted to be in a place where training jutsus wouldn’t disturb others. This places seems good enough the hoshigaki named Tsuyu decided to train here.

Tsuyu now stood in front of a few pebbles. The boy took a deep breath in and began to dance his hands together to form hand seals. He was trying to learn the rock creation jutsu. So he would need to start out small. Tsuyu poured his chakra into the pebbles below him. The pebbles didn’t move or do anything. Perhaps a different approach? Tsuyus chakra seeped into the ground below. He pressed down on the pebbles with his chakra. The pebbles seemed to shift.

That’s all that happened though. The pebbles only wobbled. He increased the pressure of his chakra on the ground. The pebble stopped teetering and sank slowly into ground underbneath.The purpose was so that he could conjoin rocks together so that he could perfect the jutsu. It wasn’t over yet he only just made a pebble sink underneath. Now he wanted to “fuse” it and create a new formation. He poured his chakra and gathered it around the pebble. Tsuyu tensed up as he increased the chakra pressure to mold the rock and pebble together,

This was a bit more straining then he was used to. He was used to molding and bending water. Rock was obviously unlike free flowing water . It didn’t bend or move as easily to utilize it you need to be forceful. Tsuyus face tensed up as he concentrate contorting the ground and forcing it to dense and fuse. With a grunt he heaved up and shoved his chakra ball upwards. Causing the forming ground he was concentrating to lift up out of the ground.

A ball of rock now floated in the air. A few specked were seen floating beneath it. Tsuyus eyes widened and his increased his focus on the ball of rock. Those weren’t specks but crumbling pieces falling down he realized. His chakra flowed through the floating mound of rock. Trying to find and grab any loose pieces of rock then slowly trying to piece it all back together. Cracks were seen in the piece of rock. It was about the size if not smaller than his fist. Pressing his chakra in he tried to force the rock to close the gaps to remove the cracks.

He knew he wouldn’t be able to get every crack because rock doesn’t conform that easily. Tsuyu lowered the rock on the surface of the ground. His teeth bared as he forced to make the rock edges inch closer to connect. He would then use his chakra as a sort of glue to piece it all back together. The edges of the piece of rock began to smoothe out. He was glad about this things seemed to be turning out well. So far he was able to get the rock together, keep it together from not being to brittle and falling apart and even smoothing it out.

The jutsu wasn’t all about appearance however. It was being able to form rock and create something out of the earth. Tsuyu continued with his concentration his of chakra of the object. He gave a push trying to make the rock go into a shap as if it was soft clay. The rock didn’t budge but instead crack the more he pressed. The shark boy stop pressing forward. He began to wonder how he would work on the next process. How will I exactly make shapes out of the rock? I made this shape by pressuring it all together. I was also able to smoothe it out by putting it together. Hmmm. So perhaps it can work in the opposite way. By using my chakra to drive the rock apart instead of together. the blue boys pondering came to a conclusion.

He pressed once more this time differently. As if his chakra were a scalpal he used his chakra to cut through the rock and fragment it. The rock began to shift and its shape began to contort. As if it was a piece of of paper unfolding itself the middle began to lift itself outwards. He continued this with the rock object.More pieces began to branch out slowly. It was starting to look like a rock flower was blooming an opening itself. The shark boy stopped staring at the creation. It looked like a piece of rock was carved with many branch like arms sticking out in a quil like manner. He supposed it was a good start.

Drawback: Crystal Release cannot crystallize either raw energy or chakra as they have no physical mass to crystallize, allowing a person with either energy-based jutsu, such Wind Release, Fire Release and Lightning Release, or good chakra control to properly counter it. Crystal Release is also susceptible to a specific sound wave frequency; because crystal requires a very precise build-up of molecules, the proper sound waves can break down the build-up before the crystal can properly form.
Description: Using Crystal Ninjutsu, the user can crystallize any physical material and even the moisture that is present in the air around them, turning them into a weapon. In the case of human targets, Crystal Release can solidify its targets down to the cellular level, imprisoning and even killing the victim should the crystal ever be struck, reducing the mass of crystal and the victim down to crystalline dust. Earth Release, Water Release and Wood Release are all useless against the Crystal Release style: Because the Earth, Water and Wood styles all have physical mass, they can be crystallized, and then turned against the Crystal user's opponent. It was a clear day on a rocky field. This rocky field was a frequented spot by a local genin boy of the village hidden in the mist. He would come here often to practice doton style jutsus, aka earth style release. A blue skinned boy walked out into the rocky terrain. The boy was half shark belonging to the hoshigaki clan. Today he was going to practice something being in his usual spot for practicing and learning doton moves.

However today will be something slightly different he decided. The boy had already got accustomed the earth release. So much that he felt that he had mastered the initial style. Of course he can still learn new doton style moves but he already understands and knows the basics. This time he decided to learn a subset of earth. A new release that is derived from the earth style. He has read about this release and how only people who have ood knowledge and strength in the earth style can properly perform this release.

The boy placed an object on the rocky ground and took a few steps back. The object was actually a small pink crystal. The boy concentrated his mind on the crystal and then started focusing on placing his chakra into the crystal. He wasn’t really sure how one would start this release so he figured the best way was starting with an actual piece of crystal. The crystal he could already tell was far much different from what hes used to controlling. More dense and less flexible than water. More unwilling and stubborn than rock.

He knew that with the release people could get crystal to expand, float change shape, like any other release. The boy focused his chakra to see if he could push the crystal into a different shape. Nothing happened. He tried again but still nothing would happen. Maybe Im doing this wrong? he thought. Figuring that crystals were made from pressurized rock things would have to be a little different from how he normally handled things

The release is dramatically different from the original doton style. He placed his chakra into the piece of crystal once more. This time lets see if he can make it less dense. Trying to see if he can separate the inner components that the crystals were composed of. Like how he would do with rock with making ir harder or softer. It seems nothing was working yet again.

This is actually a good thing now that I think about it. I can use these failures to set up observations. Yes before I actually start I think I need to know how the crystal works. the shark boy thought as he stared at the bright shining gem. Before he would try to master it he needs to know how it works. The old saying put yourself in somebody else shoes. The most he can do is try and get a feel for the crystal.

Tsuyu concentrated and exerted his chakra into the piece of crystal. He tried to do anything with it really. Extending his chakra within the crystal to see if it would extend. Condensing his chakra to see if there was any reaction. The crystal didn’t budge, didn’t react at all. It only had a slight glow from his chakra inside of it. This was getting somewhere he thought. He just didn’t know where.

He decided to try again once more. Focusing on the crystal once more pressing his chakra against every border of the crystal. Feeling every part of the crystal. Making sure that he understood what the crystal feels like differently was different that rock. More harder. Yet there was something different. He felt that it was lighter. Well lighter wasn’t the word but its just different. What he feeling is probably how others can mend the shape of crystal and use it for their advantage. Tsuyu released his chakra and sat on the ground. Thinking of other approaches.

Tsuyu stood there watching the crystal. His circular eyes were blankly staring at the small pink rock. He just wanted to know it immediately but even he knew that’s not how things worked out. He just watched it to see if he could think of other ways. He read that science wise before you can read a conclusion you must first make observe then make a hypothesis then experiment.

He kind of did some experimenting and observed already. How else will he be able to make this work? Maybe he should just give up. No that wasn’t an option he didn’t want to quit. The blue boys face suddenly changed as he realized something. Earlier he experimented on the rock first and then observed. That’s not exactly what he read. So maybe if he reversed his tactics he could find out something new

Tsuyu stood back up and walked over to the crystal and picked it up. He felt it was smoother than most of the earth. As rocks tend to be rough. He picked up a small pebble from the ground. He tried to compare the weight between the two in his hands. The crystal in his left hand and the pebble in his right.”hmm” he switched the two objects to different hands to judge things again.

Then he felt the rock with hands trying to get a feel of it. He did the same with the crystal. He kneeled down to the ground and tapped the pebble against the rocky surface. Then he did the same for the crystal.”hmm tsuyu gestured again. Ok this was kind of weir. Everything he just did he already somewhat knew. The crystal was about the same size as the pebble. It felt a little lighter yet much easier to handle. As if the external part was the hardest and the insides made it feel light.

Even though the crystal felt a little lighter it was much tougher. It felt stronger when he hit it against the ground. Much more compact as that is how they are formed. Then he got an idea. Perhaps he shouldn’t treat it like a rock. A crystal has similarities but it also has differences. So the reason why he couldn’t operate it is because he tried to do everything he has done with the earth style. Instead perhaps it works like a opposite way or similar but slightly different.

He just formed the observation. Now all was left is the hypothesis. I suppose using crystal requires a different mindset or pattern. he thought. Know all he had to do was test this out. The shark boy placed both the crystal and the pebble down and took a step back. He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. Upon opening his eyes once more he focused his chakra to both the pebble and the crystal. Trying to feel the molecular difference of the two. Feeling the two with his chakra. The boy compared around and felt something unique between both of them.

Aah so that’s it! With the pebble super small air pockets. Its packed up yes but its condense. The crystal is a different story. Everything is sturdy and solid with no pockets. That’s what I usually do with earth is use the less dense areas to help expand it elsewhere then mold it to make the entire structure less or more dense. So I was right I cant just do anything will the crystal like I do earth all willy nilly. It requires more finesse before I get used to it. But how can I take charge of it and control the crystal?

The boy questioned himself again. Well seeing as how the crystal is more super condensed than the pebble perhaps maybe its density is the key. If I match my chakras density to the crystals density that might work just the same. He forced his chakra outward of both objects towards him. The pebbles rolled over towards him a little. The crystal stayed in the same spot. It was just like he thought. He put more chakra into the crystal and packed it into the object trying to condense it as much as he can to match up to its own density.

With a bit of force he pushed out his chakra once more. The pebble rolled a bit and the crystal stayed the same. Ok once more he thought as he compressed the chakra more compact in the crystal. Then he gave the chakra a tug. The pebble rolled on his foot and the crystal wobbled.. His eyes opened as he saw the crystal wobble. He tried it once more and the crystal wobbled again.”Alright I think I’m started to get it a bit. he said relieved he was getting better. Though he knew it wouldn’t get any easier from here.

The blue boy was glad he was finally able to get some results now with this he can start to actually learn this jutsu. It isn’t impossible after all. It just needs more focus and perhaps skill. Tsuyu however was disappointed in something. He noticed he put way to much chakra in the piece of crystal just to make it wobble. If should really require that much chakra if so he would run out if this is how he operated in a battle.

He stared at the rock. I need to figure out a way to use the crystal without wasting too much chakra. Though the higher amount of chakra was what let him move the crystal. Perhaps it wasn’t the amount but the density of how it fit into the compact crystal components. Well thinking about it won’t solve anything. He decide to give it out another try.

The shark boy exerted his chakra again towards the piece of crystal. Tsuyu began to start compacting his chakra intensely into a smaller place so it could match the density of the crystal. His goal was that his chakra could find and fill every molecule and space the crystal had. He figured if he did this he would be able to move it. He gave the chakra a tug.

The crystal wobbled once more but this time it rolled onto the other side. Alright im getting better results now. I need to find a better way to make it move on my whim then slightly moving he thought Tsuyu thought as he stared at the crystal. He began to experiment with the little crystal as he kept giving it tugs and pushes moving it around

He was trying to see how it worked with his current methods and what other ways he could do to improve upon this He gave a tug where his chakra was concentrated and it rolled over on the side. Then he pushed it again once more. He repeated this pattern once more. He pushed the crystal again and the chakra concentrated side was revealed on top.

His eyes popped for a second as he noticed something. He pushed it again and the chakra concentrated side was pulled down to the ground. His chakra was only on one center or just 1 spot of the crystal. Its as if he was controlling the heaviest part of the crystal from within. So the crystal was only able to move because of the one side. This is why it wobbled when it moved and why it landed on certain side.

I need my chakra to be everywhere in the crystal. Why didn’t I think of that. That’s the one similarity with it and with my other jutsus. he though slightly embarrassed as it had slipped his mind Tsuyu concentrated as he began to unwind the concentrated chakra and spread it out evenly in the entire piece of the crystal. “This time it should work” he thought after his chakra was distributed out more evenly.

He gave the crystal another tug but it stayed the same.Oh right I have to concentrate it it get every molecule. he thought as he focused on the little object. Trying not to overuse his chakra again he tried to bring his chkra deeper inside the crystal to fill it completely. He then gave a forceful push and the crystal started rolling 4 feet away from him. Tsuyu grinned as he think he may have hit another milestone.

Tsuyu was really glad with his current progress. The blue boy wasn’t able to do anything with the crystal a half hour ago. However he just kept going at it. He just needed to be determined and he was sure to master this. Once he learned this he would be ale to use crystalline jutsu He smiled at he crystal with was now rolling around repeatedly in the shape of a circle. He was still observing how to function with it.

So far he was able to learn what not to do. He was sure there might be some other areas on things hes not supposed to do with crystal but for now he learned a few things. He was able to observe the insides of the crystal. Which meant he knew its properties a little more and he also is able to properly put his chakra inside the crystal and know how to move it.

Moving an element is always the first step on learning how to master a new release style. Next I should learn how to… mold it to a shape he decided. He stopped the crystal from circling around. He thought of the process of how he extended rock around to make it form shapes. He gave the crystal a push expected like a small string like antennae to come out. Instead it just wobbled over to its side.

Ok once more then. Using his chakra he made the crystal stay still so it wound go over to its side again. Then he gave it a push again in the top to try and make it protrude outwards. Instead it simply wobbled again. He kept it in place to prevent it from moving around. A moving crystal wouldn’t help the learning procedure out at all. This was quite puzzling to the hoshigaki.

Every time he tried to make it form a shape it just wobbled around. It only felt as if he was just try to move the crystal when he gave it the push. This is what I do exactly with earth style jutsu however. feeling stupid now he remembered not long ago he concluded that crystal functions a little differently than earth style jutsus. He tried to think of another way around this current hurdle

“Maybe I should do more slowly so I can see what’s happening to the crystal.” he formed some hand seals and stomped on the ground. Cause the rock to jut upwards. It stopped about at five feet high.More crystal practice. He gave the crystal a tug and it feebly wobbled into the air. Concentrating it stopped wobbling and was placed on top of the rock structure.

He wanted to see the changes up close. He slowly began to push the crystal hoping it would project outwards. It gave it a slow gentle push outwards. It didn’t seem to have much effect but still slowly he gave another rpush but not to strong. The crystal wobbled and he noticed something. Picking it up he examined it to see a small bump where he was trying to extend it.It working. It just needs to be a soft push.

He placed it back down and pushed his chakra outwards in the crystal. Nothing. He did it again softly and the bump got bigger.Wait a second. This is somewhat similar to water. Water is flowing but this is condense…..of course this is so condense that a push wont work. But if I move it outwards like a water in a stream. It needs to keep its density but its needs a flowing path to move he finally realized.

This time he would get it for sure. Placing his chakra he focused as he chakra filled up the crystal molecules completely. Then he gave a small push pushing the molecules to move. He was imagining the his procedure he made as he watched it. He pushed the molecules into like a moving river of atoms. His chakra flowling in a path so molecules could move and follow the path.

The crystals surface had a small bump on it. This bump however slowly started to extended outward.Yes I knew it. This is how I move it. the crystal now looked like a shining pink pebble that had a long protruding nose about. The protrusion seemed to extend about an inch high. Tsuyu picked up the crystal from the rock pedestal he created earlier.

He wanted to examine it. The protrusion look genuine and quite durable as it was real crystal. Then he flipped it around. The crystal surprised him and his lose his grip. It began to drop. Still surprised but noticed the crystal he fumbled around trying to catch it. He pinned the crystal against its stomach from preventing its fall. At this stage the crystal could be fragile after he extended it.

The other side of the crystal the opposite side of the protrusion. It had a hole in it. It went slightly into the extended part of the crystal as well. This is what surprised the blue boy. He wasn’t expecting this at all. He stared at it wondering what caused this. It seems as if this hole was somehow formed and then depended itself just slightly in the start of the crystals protrusion.

This reminds me of a sink hole since they do tend to form by collapsing on themselves. Maybe that’s what this did. Oh wait maybe its caused I simply moved the crystal components elsewhere but there’s only so much of the crystal. So that’s why this hole is here. Instead I need to move the crystal and duplicate the compounds and density so it stays whole then.

He concentrated his chakra on the protrusion. Since it was the end point for the hole. He focused his chakra on the molecules. Then concentrated on directing his chakra into a moving path like a flow like he did before. He wanted the crystal compounds to follow. He also concentrated on the individual molecule and atoms of the crystal. Using his chakra to get a feel of what each of the molecules and atoms were made of.

Then using his chakra to get inside of the molecule he then felt like he was ripping it but he was actually using it to create another version of itself by forcing it to duplicate then splitting it when it made a double. He used this process throughout the crystal when he was moving. So if he was moving crystal molecules he was duplicating them as well.

This way the crystal would stay in the same shape yet form something new. He was right as well. The hole from the crystal started to fill up as he directed the crystal to extended outward and fill up the hole. He pecked it up once more. The hole was definitely filled up and he didn’t feel any empty pockets of air from within the crystal using his chakra. I think I just got down how to extend it now. This is great.

This is quite a great progress after all. It would seem that its been about an hour since the boy started working on this jutsu. He was already able to do a few things with it. Usually he learns jutsu faster than this. This really indicates the high level this jutsu is. He hasn’t even perfected this yet, but at this rate he will Now to continue on with the jutsu development.

His crystal that he used to experiment on to learn the crystal now was different. It was once a small circular like crystal. Now It looked more like a crystal stalagmite. Well he was able to solve the hole that was in the crystal stalagmite earlier. But he should probably work on that technique a little more. It would help him master this if he practiced more.

Filling out a small hole wont help him be better at forming the crystal. Once more his chakra filled the crystal. Matching up with its inner density allowing him to move it. Moving his chakra into a flowing path so he can move the crystal content. Then duplicating the matter within so it wont lose its shape when its being reformed. This is what he learned earlier to properly use crystal.

Tsuyu thought of what to form the crystal into. He decided that he would turn in. It was already a small stalagmite like shape pointed upwards. What shape could he make with that though? Forming shapes he already knew as also important as it was what allowed him to create certain techniques with his water and earth style jutsus. He just needed to do the same with the crystal.

The hoshigaki boy then thought of a perfect shape. A cylinder would be a good match. As it already has similar dimension that can be converted to and from the current crystal stalagmite. He closed and took a deep breathe. Filling the crystal again once more to prepare for the next practice. Thinking of how he should do it. Finally deciding on how he would turn it into a cylinder.

Upon opening his he directed his chakra into a pattern that pushed the crystal away from the center. The center was a point of interest of sorts. As he pushed the crystal away from it. This slowly started to make the crystal form a circle. Then gradually it got bigger. At first it looked like a weird crystal volcano model. Tsuyu was finished and stopped his chakra

Now the crystal looks like a cylinder and very much like a cylindrical pot fresh from pottery wheel. Or was it a vase? Well whatever it was Tsuyu wasn’t going to let this be the last of the crystal vase-pot. He focused his chakra on the edges of the inside of the vase-pot. Earlier he didn’t want to focus on certain parts of the crystal because it wasn’t helping him out.

Now that he learned oh to expand crystal learning on to work on certain parts is key to fully learning this. He decided that this was the best way because he would be practicing several things at once. Focusing on the vase-pots inside edges he used the same technique to expand the crystal. The vase-pots inner walls looked like they were closing in on themselves. In a few more seconds the gap closed and tsuyu now was a full 3d crystal cylinder.

The boy was really glad on his progress thus far. However he felt a little tired. He’s been working on this technique for over an hour. He’s been shifting his chakra over the time to match up with his experiment, testing and learning how to use the crystal. Its been a small but continual drain over time.Perhaps I should take a break he thought.

The boy decided to have a break by eating lunch. He will return to training after he is done. Tsuyu walked off leaving the crystal cylinder on the pedestal. He would walk off the field back to home from the break…. One hour later the hoshigaki turned to the rocky field to continue his training. He felt a little better now that he has had a break.

Tsuyu thought on what his last step was recalling his progress thus far. Observation, movement of crystal. Expansion and extension from its original shape. Forming it to another way. Ah so that’s where he is. After formation he was going to work on shape. He wanted to make sure he could put it into shapes that he wanted. Shapes were a necessity among jutsu.

He already started on shape when he made the cylinder. He did that so he could get a feel for it. But that was mostly for formation so he could fill it with crystal. But now his crystal is a cylinder about 4 inches tall. I guess I should work on making it bigger as well. But he wanted to work on it more than once so he can be sure he got shape down.

Then before making it taller he will have to make it smaller by breaking it into pieces. Crystals are known to be tough though so he couldn’t simply break it. The boy tilted his head slightly as he thought of what ways he could break the crystal into a smaller piece.Ah all I need to do is what I learned by forming it. If I can form something I can also un-form it as well. the blue boy realized on how to do this

Just on how he formed the circle when the crystal was a stalagmite. All he did then was forcing it away from a certain point. He just had to use the same practice here. By making the crystals moving to the other side he was forcing the crystal to split from the middle. It was watching somebody rip something upon with their brain. Though this wasn’t far off from this.

By un-connecting what was together he was able to split the cylinder in half. One half of the cylinder still stood up while the other one fell to its side. It crashed onto the other piece causing it to fall on its side as well. Tsuyu picked up both pieces then separated them and placed them to stand up again. He was doing much better now. He was able to get it to split apart now.

Now to making shapes by molding his chakra into every part of both crystal half’s he expanded their shapes. Duplicating the molucules and creating the same density. With the left crystal he spread it outwards in 4 directions the expanded upwards to create a cube. With the right crystal he expanded upwards then spread the crystals in three directions to form a pyramid. The boy now stared at how he was able to form the crystals into shapes easily now.

Tsuyu couldn’t help but notice his speed while practicing with the crystals has improved. Separating the cylinder in half then turning them into a cube and pyramid. Doing that was faster then when he made the crystal into a stalagmite then into a vase-pot and even when he made it a cylinder. He was just getting faster at him.

He was doing this at a slow pace. But the longer he did this the better he got. So he must have noticed his speed was improving as well until just now. He was getting used to handling with the crystal. Now all needed to do was keep improving himself and he will learn how to use this new style. Tsuyu went on to learning the style.

Next he wanted to test out how much he could do with the crystal. His chakra filled the crystal objects and levitated the above the rock pedestal. Tsuyu placed them together and pressed them together and began to expand them out. He wasn’t really making a certain shape. He just wanted to simply test the abilities of what he’s learned.

He was also kind f testing the limits of the crystal as well. Though he wont be finding the real limits of the style this early on while training. He pressed the crystals together and reversed the process of how he separated. By flowing the crystal and join the parts together. He expanded what was two halves into one. Next the crystal expanded in shapes by hexagonal rods protruding outwards in random directions

So far so good. Everything is looking well. While Tsuyu was focused on the crystal a crow that was flying in the air decided to land on the pedestal. Watching tsuyu and the crystal. The crow caw and it surprise caw startled him. Had had last his concentration to see that it was a crow. When he looked at the crow he heard a large crash. It sounded as it glass was breaking.

Though this was a rock field there’s no glass here. The crash caused the bird to fly away. He turned around to find out that the crystal structure he had made was the thing that made the crash. The crystal was broken up into many piece. How could this be? Crystal is supposed t be tough isn’t it? I know it can break but it was only five feet above the air. the questioning boy thought. The shattered glass sound surely came from the crystal breaking.

This gave tsuyu an idea. It must have broken for a good reason. It was probably because Tsuyu was still learning the jutsu. Most likely he wasn’t as adept as making the crystal as dense when he expanded it. It cold be that or maybe he just wasn’t properly keeping it together after what he thought he had made. Both of these were areas that he could improve upon.

Well two things to improve upon but he couldn’t decided on what to do. Well looking at the pieces of crystal the first one he wanted was density and seeing the pedestal gave him an idea for density. Focusing on a broken piece he levitated it into the air. Next he flung it at the pedestal. It didn’t make a scratch. Perhaps he might be wrong but density would also help his strength. The idea was to use a small piece to break the rock.

He felt like he might be wrong but making something denser would make it shatter less and it would also make the attack stronger as well or at least that’s how he perceived it to work out. Either way he will be increasing the offense, defense or both at once with the next practice he had conceived. Now he just had to try things out.

With his chakra in the now floating piece of crystal he compacted his chakra and the crystal more. Trying to pack everything so it would be more dense. Next he flung it at the pedestal. The crystal smash into the pedestal and ricocheted off of it. Well that wasn’t really good now was it. The boy was still determined to try it again. He didn’t want to give up yet.

He compacted the crystal more. He kept going this concentrating and shifting and making the inside more pressurized. The blue boy believing to be done flung the crystal at the pedestal. The crystal smashed into the pedestal and stayed on the edge. With a puzzled look tsuyu went over and pulled the crystal out. A smile grew as he saw that it had made a hole.

The hole didn’t go all the way through. It was more like an indent were the crystal could fit. It was working after all. He was still learning how to compact it was all. Trying it once more focusing on making the pressure more tough inside the crystal then the crystal flew at the pedestal below the hole. The crystal smashed through the pedestal and the pedestal fell over on its side.

Yes I did it. The density is good now. All is left that I have to do is keep the form together so it wont break apart as easily. he thought working to get ready on the next part He figured because this whole thing was still so new to him that probably why it broke. It will keep breaking too when he doesn’t want it to as well unless he gets better at this. Which is what he is doing is learning how to prevent that.

The first step of density was already done. The next step is making sure it all stays together when it comes under force or pressure. Meaning when taking a hit. So because he is still learning this its really all fragile right now. The crystal is too imperfect as it is now. But he just wants to work on it so it won’t be as fragile. Tsuyu took a deep breath in and exhaled

Exerting his chakra he lifted another piece of crystal while letting go of control of the crystal that smashed through the pedestal. The floating crystal started branch out its current hape contorting as tsuyu wanted to make it bigger. It grew in size. He watched as its shape was still hexagonal like. He stopped expanding it to when it was the same size and shape of about a beach ball. A very hexagonal beach ball. He then fly it at the ground while increasing the density.

The crystal hit the ground and part of it shattered. A little less than half of it shattered. Not bad after he learned how to make it much more denser But he will have to try again. He expanded the crystal again to what it used to be like. Focus on making it denser and compact through the object. Then smash it against the ground. This time it only made a loud thud. The boy check it all out. And it was in good shape.

Finally happy that he was able to make the crystal denser and stick together more he decided this was good for the day. He was getting more tired. Instead of a break he decided to call it in for the day. He will return the next day after being all rested. Tsuyu didn’t care to clean up knowing it will all still be there the next day. He just simply walked off the field back home.

Tsuyu came back to the rocky terrain the next morning feeling fully rested. Now he can work again on the jutsu without getting tired. Tsuyu felt like he almost has gotten this release down. He just needed to make sure everything was solid. As in making sure things were truly mastered and that he did know how to do this The broken pieces of crystal were there.

He formed a hand sign and placed his chakra into all of the broken crystals. Time for a movement test. He flung his hand and half of the crystals flew 6 feet away, He made a kicking action and the other half crystal flew off. He raised both arms above head. The crystals all floated into the air. He then lowered and locked his arms. This focused the crystals into a target.

He jabbed his elbows backwards and the crystals flew towards at him. Quickly he stuck his arms out his hands open. All of the crystals had stopped in motions just a feet or two away from him. That was close actually. A little late he would have been pelted by crystals. He has got control of the crystals done that was for sure at least. He release his control and the crystals fell down.

Next he wanted to test another part of the style out. The next part was forming and making a shape.He concentrated on the smaller pieces and extended it out to be longer on one side. He extended the other side now. The crystal look kind of like a staff or pole now. Well that was more extension actually. Well extended crystal was another part of the style so he got that down.

He picked the pole up with his right hand. His chakra leaking out of his hand and into the pole. Focusing on making the inside components more pressurized, tough and dense. He spun the pol-staff around and then smacked it against the ground. The tip of the pole-staff broke up. He scowled at this and increased the density a little more then span the pole staff around again. The smacked it against the ground.

The tip started to crack throughOh no you dont the boy though as his chakra flow increased and pressurized it causing the cracked tip from cracking any further. The thirds times a charm and he increased the density once more. After he span the pole-staff again he whacked it against the ground. This time it stayed normal and didn’t break or crack apart this time. This delighted tsuyu that he finally got that part down a bit.

Now that he thought about it he did both parts of keeping form and density there. He kept the pole-staff from breaking any further when it started to crack and made it tougher so that the next time it would break like the first time or crack like the second time. This was really everything he had already done with crystal. Tsuyu sighed finally believing that he had gotten the basics of this release done.

Next he formed a seal and stomped the ground. Causing the broken rock pedestal from yesterday back into the ground. Next Tsuyu got out a bag and opened it. With another hand seal he made all of the crystals roll into the bag. Now that he felt like he had the basics done he was done for the day He figured he would sell the crystals or reuse them for presents. Tsuyu walked off the rocky terrain glad about his accomplishment with the crystal style.

Drawback: It is impossible to crystallize electricity, wind, or fire. Any element that lacks a physical presence can not be crystallized. Sound Jutsu will act as if one rank stronger then their designated technique when being pitted against crystal. Sound techniques use their high frequency and vibration qualities to essentially shatter your crystals, as opposed to just break them, if they are geared towards acts of that nature *ie they are meant to damage physically and not some sort of genjutsu or the like*. When calculating damage vs the durability of your crystal, remember to add it together. If one person does an A rank vs you crystal that can withstand S rank, you can only endure one A rank more unless the crystal is redone/fixed which becomes costly.
Description: Using your abilities with the crystal release skill you are able to create crystal either by transforming the particles in the air, or a more prominent substance. The technique is your essential crystal technique. It governs two things: the amount of crystal you can create at once, and the strength of your crystalline constructs. At C rank the user is able to crystallize up to a 5x5 section of material per movement dedicated to the process after handseals. This of course can be edited to be proportionally the same such as a 6x4 meter area etc. Also, when you have this skill at C rank, your crystalline constructs are able to endure C rank damage before shatter. This defensive power stacks with whatever technique this is used with if applicable. As your rank increases so to does this techniques power. At B rank, your ability to crystallize becomes a 10x10 meter area, and its able to withstand up to a B rank. At A rank it increases to 20x20 meters, and is able to withstand up to an A rank amount of damage. At S ranks it increases once more to 40x40 meter area, and again is able to withstand an S rank amount of damage. With this technique the user is able to transport through crystalline structures of their own creation at a speed of 5 meters per movement (kind of like underground fish projectile). This technique is generally used passively within other techniques. This technique also allows a user to somewhat “dismiss” their crystal creations at will. When doing so the crystal seems to basically disintegrate.

It was a bright day in kirigakure. Well ok not that bright. Bright enough to see the day around you, But the village was enveloped in a large and thick mist. It happened frequently. This mist wasn’t too thick as one could partially see a bit ahead of them A boy walked through the mist without worrying about the mist. He knew his way well enough not to need perfect vision to get to his destination..

The boy finally arrived at his destination and stopped walking. He looked around with his small circular eyes darting around to see if the area was suitable for him. It seemed good enough. The mist was somewhat obscuring a rocky terrain. It wasn’t too thick here as it was in the heart of the village. This was where the boy his earthen jutsu. He practiced both doton and shoton release styles. He was glad that the mist wasn’t too thick to get in the way of his training.

Last time he was here he just learned the shoton release. Now finally able to use crystalline jutsus as long as he practiced. But last time to learn the release he had to learn had to control its movements, insides and learn what basically makes it tick. He did some personal research and found out more training is needed. He found out that shoton users can only use it through a certain move which allows them to crystalize other objects or form it by themselves.

He threw out a crystal shard out on the rocks. The boys blue shark hands combined to form a seal. He needed to learn how to crystalize to properly utilize the shoton release. He figured because he was still learning this he might need a little handicap as a starter to help start of the jutsu. He exerted his chakra out of his body and into the crystal. Following by giving the chakra in the crystal a little push. It nudged over a little.

Not the result he wanted. His thought behind it was that starting with the crystal he could extended it outwards and crystalize part of the terrain. Using the knowledge he gained from observing it when he learned the shoton release he gave it another push. This time it bulged out a little into the surface of the rocky terrain. This didn’t seem right but maybe it’s working after all. He gave it another push and the crystal budged out again getting a little more bigger on one side.

The boy walked over and knelt down to the crystal. Then he picked I up to see the results of the crystallization process. He looked at the crystal, it was clear it gained a little bit in size. This meant all was going smoothly right? He looked down to observe the effects he had on the rocky terrain. The boy had found marks on the rocks. Like scratch marks almost. He leaned in a little closer to inspect the surface.

The marks from what he could tell were slightly dug into. He didn’t know why. It wasn’t like that before. All he did was try to crystalize the earth. Was this a cause of him crystalizing the earth? It just had to be. He inspected the marks on the ground a little more. Extended his blue index finger to rub against the marks. These felt slightly rough and it was like that for the entirety of the mark. It felt as if the earth was merely dragged on by something. Then he stared at the crystal.

He tried to connect the dots then quickly thought of something. Placing the crystal right next to the mark but on earth that was fine. Then he pressed down a little bit and dragged it along to match the length of the mark. Lifting the crystal he saw another mark where he dug through with the crystal. They looked quite the same. Finally using both hands he felt both of the marks which indeed felt the same. He frowned as he learned he crystalized nothing yet.

A blue was staring at the ground. On the ground was a pink crystal and a few scratches dug into the earth. He was trying to further himself in the art of the shoton ninjutsu style which is also known as the crystal release. To properly learn the crystal style one had to learn how to crystalize other objects to use for other jutsus to gain an advantage. However the boy hasn’t been so successful yet. He thought he did it but turned out he just tricked himself.

The boy stood up.I wont let this get me down. It took hard work just to learn how to learn the crystal release. I wont give up. To go on I need to learn this jutsu. the boy reassured himself trying to muster up some confidence . He wanted to learn this jutsu to show to himself that he can do what he wants if he sets out to try them. The boy grabbed the crystal and set it in a different place. All he had to do was keep trying.

He thought about what he could possibly do next. He formed a handseal to concentrate a small portion of his chakra inside the crystal. He closed his eyes then. He’s already had a good feel of what the insides are but he wanted more of a mapped layout. Studying, and analyzing all of its inner contents. Some of his chakra then leak out of him and onto the ground. There are many good ways to learn a new justu. Failure is one of them and he’s already done that.

Next he wanted to compare between two different elements. By doing this he would hope to realize something. He studied the contents of the rocky terrain. He knew what the difference was between the two but his mind was a blank. He already tried to force the crystal upon itself on a different element. That didn’t work out. The only thing it did was extend the crystal a little bit on the earth. It didn’t crystalize the earth at all. He needed the arth to change.

Wait. He needed the earth the change.change. Oh of course that’s what it is. You can force something to be something else. You have to change it or more precisely covert it. That’s what crystallization is all about. I think. I could be wrong again. There is only one way to find out then. the boy smiled as he believed to come upon a breakthrough with this jutsu. He could only hope that it would work though as to him it sounded like a solid plan.

His kept his chakra going between the two spots of crystal and earth. It was a good thing he analyzed their contents now. He wanted to try and duplicate the crystal meaning he wanted the earth to duplicate and literally turn into crystal. The science behind that is by using the insides of both elements to change them. The chakra underground moved to be underneath the crystal. Now to test this theory out as his chakra danced in the two spots in excitement.

He mostly focused on the chakra of the earth but feeling the insides and molecular structure of the earth. Then pouring his chkra into the compounds of the rocks to change it. Pushing and contorting the structures of the rock molecules.. Pushing forming and contorting it and then giving a final puh to give it the same density as crystal would normally have. He kept doing this for a minute trying to make things as perfect as he could make it.

He then continued to the process upwards towards the surface where the crystal was lying on. Using his chakra to form into the same way the insides of the crystal felt, the same way it was composed of, he same way the atoms were, Then feeling his chakra reaching the crystal. He connected the bridge of space with his chakra. He kept going on by doing the same process. Then filling in the last spots by combining what he believed to be crystal underground with the crystal above ground.

Now was the final moment of truth where he will find out the supposed. He gave his chakra a final shove to combine the two forces. Next he was going to lift what he created. He either just hardened rock to crystal or he crystalized it and combined it with the surface crystal. He was hoping for the latter. Then finally not able to take any more suspense he gave his chakra a push upward. Out popped a cylindrical piece of crystal. The boy chucked laughing on how he had actually had done it he had crystalized the earth just after analyzing the earth. He was really glad of this.
