"Wake the fuck up!" A man screamed in my ear. A split second later a sledgehammer blow struck the side of my head, making me see stars, even though I was kept in the dark by a thick bag or sack that covered my head. The bag was ripped free of my throbbing head, and a light so bright it made my brain hurt was directed into my groggy eyes. Once my eyes adjusted to the still bright light, I could see my captors. They all wore the same grey and white fatigues, definitely an armed unit of some kind. "How much longer do we have to keep this up?" The interrogator asked me with a sadistic smile plastered on his face. "I've been telling you, just give me the information on Kirigakure that I need and then you can go."
I laughed hysterically in his face. "Please, we both know as soon as you get the info you need, you're gonna kill me and destroy my body. No evidence." He tilted his head to the side, as if unsure what way he should continue. "Ok, I'm very sorry you feel that way....I guess I'm gonna have to continue with the torture." His face suggested he felt remorse for what he was about to do, but I knew better.
They had started the torture many days ago, first by trying to drown me. This proved a bit futile, since I could hold breath for long periods of time. What could they expect? I'm a mist village ninja. But soon after that discovery they changed tactics, using fire, and electricity to try and elicit a response from me. Still I held strong. Even when they broke my bones, starting with my fingers and toes, eventually moving on to my arms and legs, I held strong. But now I was watching this guy pull out a long and curved blade with serrated edges. If there was ever a time to doubt my resolve, this was it.
"Wait! Wait!" I yelled. "What's the question!" The man smiled, feeding off my apparent weakness. "Tell me all the ANBU locations around the village. Tell me the whereabouts of your Mizukage. Do this for me, and I set you free. You have my word." I welled up a giant ball of mucus and spit in my mouth and then launched directly into his face. "Yea, and a hoshigake will learn genjutsu." The man smiled brightly. "That was your last chance...." He plunged the knife deep into my chest, twisting it violently. "Dispose of his body." He ordered some the grey fatigued guys around him. As the world faded into bright light, I couldn't help but think that I was dying an honorable death. I would never betray my vil-
