Gate Duty [Mission]

[Senka]

Day 1

Senka arrived at the gate to the Hidden Mist Village. The two ANBU shinobi had been waiting for over an hour.

"What took you so long?"

The first one would ask as Senka reached the two. Senka simply scratched the back of his head nervously and said the first thing that came to mind.

"Oh, well, a runnaway cat ran past me and I brought it back to it's owner."

The first one almost believed him, but the second one clearly saw through it.

"You expect us to believe that?! It doesn't take that long to catch a cat!"

He had to come up with something fast, or he'd be in for it.

"Ah, but this cat wasn't a normal cat. It was one of those weird talking cat's. It tried to persuade me not to catch it."

The first one must have been slow or something.

"I believe him."

The second ANBU shinobi could only groan at being outnumbered. And so, the trio began their shift. Senka would stand guard while reading the latest copy of Makeout Paradise, which he had just picked up recently.

[Day 1: End]

Day 2

Senka and the two ANBU had been sleeping in shifts. When one was standing watch, the other two would sleep. Around 8:00 AM, it was nearing the end of Senka's turn once more. He had already finished his book, and was starting to get bored.

"Man, does this have to be such a drag?"

Hearing this, the second ANBU would pipe up as they both woke up.

"Hey, for this job, boring is good. Might not be as exciting as escort missions, or assassinations, but it has to be done."

He didn't really care if anyone wanted to get by. He had a job to do, but he did say one thing.

"Yeah, as long as I get paid."

After hearing this, the first ANBU said something he thought might motivate the Genin.

"Hey, trust me, I've been on worse missions."

The first one obviously had a lot of experience. He seemed like a model ninja. One that could easily be the next Mizukage. As the day was drawing to a close, the next team arrived and Senka, as well as the two ANBU assigned to him, went home.
