She stood poised, watching the sensei as she positioned her legs. She stood with her shoulder width apart her man foot, which in this case was her right, was positioned pointing forwards. Her off foot, thusly her left foot was at a right angle to her main foot though perhaps a step or two back. Her main hand was forward, elbow bent, knuckles facing forwards. The blade thusly protected her face as she stood. Her left hand hovered near her chest, other than that it was in the exact same positioning of the elbow bent and knuckled forwards.
She moved back and forth a few times to experiment with the movements. As she came to rest once more her sensei appeared and corrected her footing. Though the movements were easy keeping the stance was not. She tried the pulsing once more and was able to keep her feet proper this time but she had a habit of dropping her hands. A quick whack to the head resulted in a surprised yelp and her being far more aware of keeping her hands in their proper place. Another set of pulses and she resulted in a properly set stance.
She smiled and dropped the stance before stepping back into it once more, and looking around she realized she had stepped properly into the stance. Awesome.
