BAD TIMING
"Things were going so well... Why did she have to try and touch me!?"

Ryota Shinken, a man with both an unusual body and personality. Ryota had arrived back at the village recently after spending such a long time out in the country meeting a varied taste in people and culture. He had come across smaller villages that ran similar to his home in Kirigakure whereas others had run in a completely different way. This particular man had made friends, enemies and all sorts of other acquaintances that he had helped in a variety of ways. One thing he would not care to mention was the amount of women he had been forced to flee from, a single touch from a woman was enough to make goosebumps appear on every inch of his skin.

Kirigakure had changed so much since he had left all those years ago. The giant had been staying with his parents while he tried to sort out a house for himself however it was today that he had to leave home once again. His sister in which name shall never be mentioned was staying the night and this left him with nowhere to sleep tonight, the mere sight of his sister sent him running away in a seemingly ridiculous manner. Females, while they attracted him in both mind and body he was scared because of how many times his sister beat him when he was little, the memories etched inside of his brain. While he ran frantically from the house he had stumbled into the shopping district and turning the corner as he began to slow down he felt a thump against his left thigh as he ran. "What was that?" He said while glancing down lower.

Akiko had headed down to the shopping district for a very simple purpose; while she had been off, a certain hobby shop she frequented got a small shipment of a Zoids model kit she had been pining after, and the owner had been kind enough to set one aside. So, after receiving the message, she double checked to make sure the kit was still there, then took off down the block, riding on her Air trek. The sun was shining and bright, reducing the amount of mist in the air, leaving a clear atmosphere and a long line of sight.

However, that long line of sight didn't apply around corners, as Akiko bumped into a large meaty thigh, knocking her off balance. The young girl stumbled back before catching herself, then looked up at the face of the man to whose body the thigh is attached to, intending to apologize. But before she was given the chance, a swarm of cloaked and masked AnBu swarmed out of the alleyways and corners, and instantly dog-piled the well-muscled man. It made sense for her to have such a shadow. She was, in many ways, the most diminutive Kage in quite some time, if not ever.

"What the fuck!?"

After knocking over the girl and looking down he had easily been piled upon, their strength was impressive for how little they seemed in comparison to Ryota. He didn't struggle, a glimpse of their masks was more than enough for him to know his place as he was put down to the ground. He had never felt such force behind men before, obviously well trained Ryota was not going to struggle in any way. However the giant did deem it necessary for him to try and diffuse the situation before things got any worse.

"Look um, AnBu guys or whatever the hell you are, what the fuck is going on? Is it 'cause I bumped into the girl? If so I'm sorry but you shouldn't just pin me to the ground like this it's not like it was on freaking purpose! Look I was running away from something okay? Something so terrifying a man like me cannot even try to stand up to it." The terrifying thing as he had called it was none other than his evil older sister. He had held back this detail because if he let it slide that he was running away from a woman he would be laughed at and his irrational fear would be out in public. This was what the man had believed to be true although no necessarily the case considering how powerful some women can be.

It was understandable, given her diminuitivity, that she would have such a large shadow, and that they would be extremely active. However...this was a tad extreme. "Come on, he didn't mean anything, it was an accident." "Excuse us, lady Mizukage, but we seem to be stuck." Akiko sighed and walked the circumference of the mass of people. Eventually, she found what she was looking for, and grabbed one of the AnBu by the collar of his cloak. With a swift tug, she pulled him free and 'accidentally' tossed him a good 20 feet behind her, with little apparent effort.

As the AnBu vanished back into the shadows, Akiko extended a hand to the muscled man, saying "Sorry about that. Are you ok?"

"It's like when I was five all over again!"

The words 'Lady Mizukage' were enough to strike fear into the man but the tiny appearance of her small frame was just too adorable. However the whole situation of her being adorable was very much so removed from the equation when she tossed the man from behind him. Although the giant could barely catch a glimpse of this between the wall of AnBu operatives that lay upon him he could see the effortless swing and the body flying off into the distance. Truly scared as of now the goose bumps started to show and his eyes widened that showed nothing but fear.

The calming words escaping from the girl's mouth were more like a snake's aggresive hiss before it striked in Ryota's mind. The man backed up against the wall with rather heavy breathing as if to tell the little girl to get away. "Y-you're our kage...!?"

A blush crossed Akiko's face, "Y-yeah, I was voted into the position while I was away from the village." Akiko fidgeted nervously, being called the Mizukage made her feel a little uncomfortable, it was a big responsibility, and she couldn't afford to mess up. Plus, it was Aniki's title before her, so she felt like she had even bigger shoes to fill...what had happened to him anyway? That was something that she'd need to solve, but her best clue so far was Omori, who was still in a coma. And the map that he had returned with held no clues, just a few villages marked that Kirigakure already had the locations of.

Akiko looked up at the very well muscled man, who looked like he very much wanted to phase through the brick and morter wall he had his back pressed up against. "Ne~ you don't look so good, are you feeling ok?" Was he scared? But how could someone as big and strong as him be afraid of a little girl? Even if she was the mizukage and able to lift five tons, how could he possibly be afraid of her? It just didn't make sense. "Are-are you afraid? Of me?" Akiko couldn't help but feel hurt. He didn't seem the type to intend to hurt her feelings, and she could tell that easily, but it hurt nonetheless. Doubtlessly, the hurt bled into her voice. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Stupid girls... Stupid.."

'A girl like this... Kage? She's probably strong and scary like that vile creature, that demon, my sister. I... I hate all women but yet they are either beautiful or cute and I can't help but be attracted to them in some sort of way. Why the hell did she have to ruin my life, beating me like that every day. What a vile, vile woman! He backed up more into the wall his back flatened against it as Akiko had moved in closer even if it was just a tiny bit. The man wanted to melt into a puddle or at least find some way to be able to approach women.

The girl was so kind, he almost felt as though he could let down his guard. This was until he remembered what he had done to the AnBu with such power and little effort. He stared her down as much as possible before mumbling at her for a rather half hearted response. "I will never tell a woman let alone a little girl like you of my fear of the female kind. You're such vile creatures I hate you all. As he realised what he said his heart immediately sank, he had not wanted to reveal his fear to anybody yet he had just done so accidently. A four letter word beginning with 'F' had flooded his mind as he waited for what was to be her response.

"Ne~" There must be some sort of trauma there though she was consciously unaware of it, Akiko herself was no stranger to trauma. What fragment of awareness of her condition Akiko held, she shoved deep within her subconscious, never to admit it's existence. "Ne~ I'm sure, some girls are bad. Just as I'm sure some boys are bad. But everyone's different, there are nice girls and boys too. I don't know about anyone else you may have met, but I don't like hurting people. That's why I became a medic, so I could help people and relieve pain." Akiko tried to maintain a smile this whole time, even as it hurt how he kept talking to her.

"I... Why is this girl so nice?"

The giant, muscular man looked down at the girl with fear still in his eyes. To his and most likely her relief his fears had begun to settle down and he went quiet. He contemplated whether or not he could trust her and after a couple of minutes he spoke once more. "Look little lady, it's not that I truly hate women it's just well... I can't be touched or approached by them. It truly scares the absolute shit out of me, I don't understand how women work or anything like that..." His mind began to go somewhat fuzzy as the thoughts of how he used to be beaten as a child ran through his mind. It did seem as though he put down his guard a bit as if saying he doesn't mind the child's presence however this was just due to his hazey mind the possibility of fainting very real.

Did something happen to him? Psychologically speaking, people don't develop complexes or phobias without some trauma, usually from someone they trusted during a childhood period. Akiko looked up at him, "Ne~" he looked...unsteady. Not unstable, as in an impending psychotic break, but rather unsteady, as in a house of cards. "Ne~ are you ok?" Akiko started to reach up for a moment, a reflex born of her medical training and caring nature, before recoiling back as she remembered his issues.

Akiko thought for a moment, then used a simple transformation technique to transmute herself into the appearance of a male variation of herself; though given her youth, the differences were minor. With the transformation came not a puff of smoke but an instantaneous transformation instead, simply one moment she was female, the next, male. "Ne~ are you ok?"

"Transformation technique, oddly enough I feel slightly more secure."

The man was calmed by the young kage's sudden change of appearance, for now he was looking at a young male rather than a female. "Yeah I'm fine, it's nothing I just don't have anywhere to sleep tonight because that demon is in my place tonight." His response to his or her question rather was a lot clearer than before hand. He was quite vague on his 'place' because he didn't want his kage to know that he still had to live in his parent's house at his age, a manly man would never have to do such a thing.

"Sorry about freaking out before, I just don't understand how girls work. I wish I did but I just don't and let's just say I've never had good experiences with them." The man looked down at his feet before stroking the single lock of hair on his head. "I know this is kind of sudden and slightly innapropriate. But would it be alright if you could spare a room or something like that in the Kage tower for the night? If not I'm going to have to sleep outside is all." Back to his old tricks he suddenly struck a pose and flexed his muscles, his clothing falling apart upon the torso. His bulging muscles seemed to sparkle, with a smile and a wink he asked; "Please?"

"Ne~" The Kage tower doesn't have any guest rooms, and the only beds there are the cots I and a few high-ranking AnBu keep in our offices in case of allnighters. There's the guest room at home...but he may not get along well with 'Baa-san...wait, she said she was staying overnight to work on paperwork, so that is possible...it sounds like he has a lot of pride, it must have hurt for him to ask for help. Boys can be so stubborn, ne~ Akiko looked back up at the now sparkling man, "Ne~ there isn't anywhere in the tower, but there's a guestroom at my home I could spare for the night. And Obaa-san won't be home tonight, so you won't have to worry about that." The only problem will be how long I can maintain this transformation

"Transformation technique, oddly enough I feel slightly more secure."

His mood had picked up rather well considering his pride had been thrown out of proportion. Ryota felt as though he could feel safe around this girl and as a result he began to slowly let his guard down. "You live with your grandma huh? I bet she's rather nice like you are. Sorry for freaking out before it was a little unfair of me. You don't have to be a male, I'll hold back my fear. By the way, it would be really appreciated where ever I may stay, I won't cause any trouble for you and I've already eaten. His expression hadn't changed at all, the sparkling effect was still there as well. If she agree he would be led to her house without any problems regardless of her form or actions.

"Awesome. Lets go." Akiko started to lead the way to her house. "Um...by the way," she commented as they walked, "I never caught your name." Though to most people this would be a poor idea, Akiko was rather comfortable that she would be able to defend herself, should anything go wrong. Hopefully, though, it wouldn't.

Finally, the two reached the home Akiko, she opened the door and announced to the empty house in a loud voice, "I'm home." Akiko looked around the house, an average, modern, western-style home. The main living area, to the immediate left, was a square formed by a pair of Sofas on one side and two walls on the other, a decent-sized coffee table in the center. Nestled into the corner formed by the two walls was a rather large television with a few game systems hooked up and a number of games set into the entertainment center.

On the right, sat the dining area and kitchen, with a sliding glass door providing a colorful backdrop against the simple white dining table. The kitchen looked rather good, but seemed a tad unused. Akiko gave a quick rundown of these areas to the well-muscled man, then directed him to the guest room, a moderately sized room with a four-poster bed in the far corner, a dresser for guests who would be staying a while, a lamp, and other such things. "It's not much, but I hope it'll suffice."

"What a lovely house... And what a kind Kage."

Ryota responded rather quickly as she had mentioned that he had not said his name yet. The man struck a pose like usual, the muscles being flexed out and all. "I am the manliest of men. Ryota Shinken, man of a godly physique." With the comment about his physique it had seemed as though the single lock of hair twitched for a moment while he winked to the girl. An odd display yes, but also quite normal for the man. He followed at the same pace the little woman's legs would take her following by her side.

Ryota thought the house was lovely and was quite happy to see that the girl openly showed her around, the smile on his face showed that he had warmed up a little bit. However this was also quite a fake smile, inside he was freaking out quite a lot. His mind was plagued with fantasy that seemed fit to be of a nightmarish level. Thinking about the many ways Akiko would be able to kill him while he was sleeping until finally they had arrived at the guest room. The man struck a pose before thanking the girl once again.

"You are quite the kind young woman. I wish other women would take take after you and act less... Scary. I really need some rest, I've been working all day honestly and to be quite honest with you I'm a little tired after running away from my house. With this he would say goodnight to the girl and lay onto the bed, his eyes shut and opened soon after as he struggled to stay awake. It took around an hour for his body to win the fight, passed out her laid there snoring rather loudly as any manly man would.

Akiko's day went on for a few hours more, seeing her fix herself dinner, as the large man said he wouldn't need any. As she ate dinner, Akiko turned on the television and watched for a fair few hours until she felt the first longings of sleep. Yawning loudly, she clicked the television off and headed upstairs to her room.

Not an overly ornate or even girly room, it was a very gender neutral hodgepodge of Akikoness. The room only held a few pieces of furniture; a dresser, a vanity, a few book cases, and her bed. Her bed was a fourposter with a varnished oak frame. The bookcases held books on countless topics, many of them medical, and even a few mechanics books she obtained after she returned.

After going about her nightly cycle and changing into her bedclothes, Akiko settled into bed and fell asleep. But her sleep was fitful. Wild, disorganized images swam through her head. At the same time, her body animated itself, dragging her from her bed and into the guest room. In her sleep, her hands dashed back and forth, performing an operation on her unaware guest, altering their physical form.

Once the operation was finished, and with nary a scar or drop of blood to be seen, the unconscious Akiko returned to her bed and her sleep.

"This is not happening... This. Is. Not. Happening."

Ryota tossed and turned in his sleep until the operation had been performed on him. Because of the nature it was performed he would not feel as the muscles and such were condensed and even shaved away a little bit in order to compact them into much smaller arms. His appearance had changed in almost every aspect, somehow producing wonderful blonde hair from the single lock on his head and changing the shape of his facial features. His entire face was less defined and rugged, soft and... Beautiful? Right down to the colour of his lips, cheek bone structure and even the size of his eye lashes his face became way more femenine with each passing moment. Even a slight adjustment to his vocal cords to make the membrane smaller in which would change his voice.

By the time he had awoke he had no noticed the blood around the room or on the bed sheets as he headed across the room and out the door. By resting a hand upon his head he suddenly felt a full head of hair, poking around and even pulling it made out a little femenine squeal sound come from his lips that only he would hear. Embaressed momentarily the feeling of excitement and intense joy had pumped through his veins as he ran over to the bathroom in which Akiko pointed out last night. Opening to the door suddenly he ran over to the mirror in order to look at his new full head of hair. What he saw though was not what he expected and he tried to scream out in the most manliest volume one could pull off however this made his throat hurt. The scream was loud and completely femenine, he still was wearing the clothes he had last night and as he looked down they were covered in blood. In a completely different voice to his manly self he shouted out. "What the fuck happened!?"

Akiko rolled out of bed as an oddly familiar feminine voice echoed throughout the otherwise empty house. Bolting through the house towards the bathroom attached to the guest room. Bursting into the room, she asked "What's wrong?" But she was completely unprepared for what she saw when she finally entered the bathroom and saw the person there. Akiko saw a girl with long blond hair, wearing the now bloodstained clothing that her overnight guest had been wearing, the clothing hanging loosely from her body, though it was in fine shape save for the blood.

Akiko recoiled into a defensive stance, reacting to a perfect stranger wearing bloodstained clothes standing in the bathroom. She activated her doujutsu as well, preparing for a fight. But as her doujutsu began to bring to light many things, she saw that not only did this girl have genetic material that failed to match her physical traits, most obviously the presence of a Y chromosome, but her genes matched that of the blood on the clothing perfectly, despite her being completely unharmed.

"W-what's going on here?"

Ryota continued to check himself or rather herself as it would seem in the mirror, completely unaware of what had happened to his body. He looked down, his chest looked real and it almost made him faint. The next part was the most important part to check, that's right, his muscles. The man raised his arms into the mirror, the muscles that were once there in his arms looked to be completely gone. Why had he transformed into this new form? It was a question that was running through his mind constantly until the door opened with a sudden thud.

The little girl looked at him in disbelief and he knew exactly why, the question was stupid. "Does it look like I'm fucking alright to you!?" Ryota snapped back to the kage, instantly realising what he had done he held his hands over his mouth. The next question was even worse than the last for not only did he not know what was going on he was starting to panic. "I don't know what's going on... Look at me, do I look even slightly similar to the way I did last night. You were the only other person in the house, you could have protected me!" The unfamiliar and rather femenine voice was starting to slip away and he held his throat with a slightly agitated look upon his face. "Why the hell is my voice like this! My throat hurts... What the fuck is going on!" The last words of the sentence were the last he could say for his throat was still recovering from the intense surgery. All the while this had occured tears started to stream down his eyes without even knowing.

"I...I don't know." Akiko was in disbelief. This shouldn't even be possible. No major scars, the only blood was on his clothing, er...her clothing? Vocal cords completely modified...it didn't even follow the laws of physics, given all the muscle mass and skin lost. Did it all just melt? The operation itself must have taken a fair few hours, and without anesthetic, would have been horrendously painful. Not to mention the fact that his...er, her, hair volume expanded tremendously. And beyond all the issues with science and the laws of physics themselves, the question remained...WHY?

"This goes against everything I've learned about medical science, the laws of physics, and just flat out logic. Please believe me, I'm as confused as you are."
