The medical ninja's image began to flicker slightly, but not nearly enough. If he were an opponent of his own, he might think it was a trick of light or something. He found it to be very unconvincing.

Dispelling the failed technique, Ryuuchou shook his arms and legs of any tension that had built up. It seemed that creating the appearance of a bad techniqe was proving harder than he had originally thought. He took several deep breaths of the fresh, clean air, and went back to training immediately.

Weaving the hand seals once again to get the proper mold for the Chakra going, Ryuuchou summoned a rather small amount of Chakra compared to what he had within his reserves, and began to shape and change it to be used for the Distortion Technique. He had a theory about why he had been unable to cast it successfully on his first go; it was all about the film process.

To use the technique, the user needed to coat themselves in a film of Chakra, but Ryuuchou had been, honestly, a little negligible of that bit. He had simply allowed his Chakra to spread over him and hoped for the best, or maybe just assumed it would be perfect without any effort.

As the Chakra poured over his body, he was sure to be careful with it, fitting it over every part of his body and making sure that it was thin and flexible but strong and solid. The energy felt as if it were draped over him, and he hoped that shaping it that way would help with the flickering effect it was supposed to take. Taking several deep breaths, he walked over to the water and looked upon the surface to see his reflection.

It still wasn't perfect, but Ryuuchou knew he could fix it. He made a conscious effort to fix the Chakra that had covered him, in a way. He used his talent for Chakra control to manipulate it and manually produce the flickering image, then added additional Chakra to that which he had already used to stabilize the effect. It seemed much better, and more convincing, but to be sure that he was capable of casting it and getting it right the first time, he decided to make himself cast it again, using what he had learned to fix his mistakes.

With the second attempt dispelled, the Genjutsu using ninja performed the small amount of hand seals for what he hoped would be the final time and began to mold his Chakra for the technique. As his Chakra poured forth, he began to consciously shape it over himself and cause it to 'flick' itself. With a bit more Chakra, he aimed to cement the effect over himself and create the illusion that he was the product of a low level Genjutsu technique -- which ironically, he really was.

Walking up to the water, he saw that he was finally flickering like the technique described, and he just had to hope that his Chakra control would keep up and the effect would continue.

With the last Genjutsu technique being learned without too much of a problem, Ryuuchou was eager to continue training himself in the art of Genjutsu, and to learn more.

A long time ago he had begun to learn a series of techniques that had to do with invisibility, and hiding the user as well as, with some variations of the techniques, the user's comrades. After learning the last two techniques, he thought that continuing with those invisiblity techniques was a good idea, and, after placing the other two scrolls back in his bag, Ryuuchou pulled out a scroll that had to do with the aforementioned invisibility Genjutsus. The next on the list that he had yet to learn was the Sphere of Invisibility technique.

Reading through the technique, Ryuuchou concluded that it was very similar to the other invisibility techniques that he had learned, the only major difference being that it had multiple ranks, and could hide multiple people at a time.

For the C Rank version, people within the sphere -- which expanded to 10 meters -- would be made invisible, as would all items on them, but they would still be able to see each other within the sphere, assuming they remained within the boundary. Like the other invisibility techniques Ryuuchou had learned, they wouldn't be able to attack and remain invisible, nor would the caster of the jutsu. Things placed under clothing of those who were invisible would be invisible as well, and dropped things would become visible, and light was never able to become invisible. And naturally, being hidden from sight didn't render one completely undetectable to all five of the sense.

All in all, the series of techniques all seemed very much the same. One thing the ttrickster did start to pick up on though, was that with each version of the ability, and each time the invisiblity techniques raised up a rank, they afforded more freedom in that those affected could do things without losing their invisibility. With the B Ranked, those he made hidden would be able to attack and stay hidden. Though he wouldn't be capable of the same, he liked the idea of that, and decided to train and master this new technique -- both ranks.

Without wasting anytime, he read through the description once more to make sure that it was fresh in his mind, and he also took the time to memorize the handseals that would be needed to cast the jutsu. Even though it was an above basic level technique, he wouldn't need to perform too many signs to mold the Chakra because of his experience in molding Chakra and casting jutsu.

He took a firm stance, placing his feet about shoulder length apart, making sure that he was standing solid. He breathed in and out several times, getting oxygen into his lungs, into his blood, into his muscles. His hands came together quickly and he wove several hand signs, quickly creating several clones out of water. If he was going to practice the Invisibility Sphere Technique he needed to have several other people to test it out. As soon as they sprung up from the water, they came to stand close to him and nodded once.

Maintaining his stance, Ryuuchou wove several more hand signs, all of which were very different from the ones he had formed for the Water Clone Technique, being that he was know preparing a Genjutsu. With each seal that came together, the ninja felt his Chakra surging forth, and he could feel it shifting and changing as he manipulated it with the seals and his own body and mind. When the final seal was formed by his left and right hand, Ryuuchou pushed his Chakra out of his body and attempted to mold it into a sphere around himself and his clones.

With the control he exerted over his Chakra control, forming the sphere wasn't difficult, and he had no problem stretching it to be at the maximum distance that was allowed. He did, however, run into trouble with creating the invisibility effect. He knew the Chakra would move out to interact with the minds of those who would be looking, but he was having difficulty creating the affect on such a large scale.

His clones began to rally him though, and with the added support he found the strength and the determination to force through the issue and fix it rather than end it and start all over again. Cutting off the flow of Chakra and focusing on maintaining the Chakra that had already surrounded him and the clones, he began to imagine that he was grasping the Chakra and shaping it around them, molding it with mental hands. He covered each of them and pushed the Chakra slightly out, which would affect anyone around them and make them invisible. He hoped that it would work, but to make sure, he had one of his clones exit the sphere and see if it could see them.

The clone became confused after stepping out of the sphere, and Ryuuchou took that to mean that his casting of the Invisibility Sphere Technique was a success. Ending the technique, he was eager to move onto the higher ranked version of the technique -- the B Rank. That was the one that had the real value. It allowed people within the sphere to attack without becoming visible, except for the caster of course. Either way, it was something that could really come in handy. A mobile but hidden squad that could do damage with a very low chance of being caught would be incredibly handy.

Without wasting anytime, he decided to jump right into it. He didn't particularly have a real plan, but he decided that he would need some additional Water Clones, so he formed the seals, molded the Chakra and quickly formed an additional five. After all, if he was going to test whether or not he was successful in keeping his clones hidden when they attacked, they were going to need targets to aim at. With these clones formed, he passed out a single kunai to each of the original clones, and huddled them around him, directing the rest of the clones to move away and face them. Now was the time to begin practicing. He would create more clones when and if he needed them.

Ryuuchou proceeded to place his hands together and steady his breathing, making sure that he was getting the air that his body needed. He quickly began weaving hand seals, this time with several more than were required with the C Rank because of the need to change the Chakra control and use more of Chakra to cement the additional effect. The invisibility effect needed to be stronger and more firm if it was going to withstand the process of someone who was being affected making some sort of direct attack, since in other versions the person became visible upon attacking.

His Chakra flooded forward and, like with the C Rank version of the jutsu, was molded outward to form a sphere around himself and the five clones that he had gathered around him, away from the other five clones. He pushed it out until they were completely surrounded, and then continued to mold Chakra into the sphere to power the jutsu, and add the additional affect that it possessed. As soon as he felt that enough Chakra had been placed into the jutsu, he proceeded to focus on the molding of the Chakra, cutting the flow off and taking what had been formed into his symbolic hands.

He imagined, like before, pulling the Chakra around the group of himself and five clones like a blanket. The only difference in this shaping was that he imagined leaving small openings in the sphere that wouldn't allow people to see inside from the outside, but would allow people that were on the inside to see outside. This would hopefully allow those affected by the jutsu to make their attacks without breaking the affect of the jutsu on themselves. Each clone readied their kunai and prepared to make their attacks upon Ryuuchou's signal.

Each of the five Water Clones that Ryuuchou had originally created let their weapons fly, and as they soared towards their targets, Ryuuchou hoped and prayed that his idea of leaving openings would be successful, and the five clones he now disguised would remain invisible. He had a feeling that he would need to expand upon it though, and train at least a little bit more. D and C Rank techniques were one thing to learn with a bit of studying and a little practice and application of learnings, but B Ranks were a whole other kind of game, and required some decent hard work.

While the knives were still flying in the air, the clones signaled with their arms that they could see Ryuuchou and his five clones almost immediately. The knives pierced them and they all fell apart.

"Guess that wasn't successful," the real Ryuuchou said, sighing disappointedly. He signaled for the clones to each go pick up their thrown kunai knives, and while they did so he wove several hand seals and formed a new batch of five water clones. They stood waiting, and he motioned for them to back up and face himself and the first batch of Water Clones. "Again."

Each of his original Water Clones huddled around him, and Ryuuchou began to weave hand seals once more. With each seal his hands created, each differing from the last one, he felt his Chakra being called, and answering the call. He immediately began to bend his Chakra to his will, swelling it up and around him to shape it the way he needed first before he allowed it to surround himself and his clones. That way it would more easily allow him to create the effect, because he would have molded the jutsu properly before expanding it to cover his "allies".

His Chakra swerved and swooped in and around him, and as soon as he had amassed what felt like a thick and durable bubble of Chakra around himself, he began to imagine himself shaping dough, with his hands being merely symbolic and the dough representing his Chakra. The ninja imagined it being rolled up and pounded flat continuously, and then being stretched and thrown, eventually growing so wide that it draped himself and his clones.

As Ryuuchou invisioned this, he was consciously making an effort to mold the Chakra for the technique, attempting to feel out an 'invisible feeling' if such a thing existed, or could even be felt. He wanted this time to work out well, but deep down he knew that even if he had the right idea for the technique, he needed to practice it several times in order to have officially learned it.

With that in mind, he began to attempt to infuse the Chakra with the properties that the technique called for, focusing mostly on the Chakra that would be exerted outward from the spherical shape, which would mingle with the Chakra of other peoples' minds and create the illusion of invisibility.

The Chakra hovered around his group with the distance around them being about 10 meters. Even the clones could detect the energy flowing around them, covering them, separating them from the rest of the world as Ryuuchou focused it all around them, shaping and shifting it into the round shape that it was supposed to take on. Though the sphere was by no means solid, and would be completely useless if it was (as it was supposed to help reduce the chance of being detected), it seemed to be the divide between two places, the inside where people were hidden, and the outside where those who tried to see would be affected by the output of Ryuuchou's Chakra mfrom the globe and into the part of their Chakra Networks that was located within the head, most specifically the brain.

The medic's hands maintained the final of the few hand signs he needed to form in order to mold and project the Chakra out. He did this not to create more Chakra or to fuel the technique, but to help in controlling he Chakra and moving it around his ragtag team. Though he had already manipulated it and molded it several different times in various ways, he felt that it needed a bit more. Even if it wasn't completely necessary for a successful casting of the technique, he could never practice the act of molding his Chakra too much. As a Medical and Genjutsu Specialist, it was important to keep that skill at it's peak.

Nonetheless, he needed to keep his focus on the training that he was doing, not what possible benefits could come from practicing his skills. The Chakra was molded as much as he felt that it possibly could be for that particular attempt, and he was starting to feel that it was molded too much. Differing from what he had done before, he had covered himself with the Chakra and molded it, and then stretched it out while continuing to spin it in hopes of spreading the effect over all six members of the makeshift group. However, he felt that it might have been used too much after being produced, which might take away it's 'zest'.

After letting the Chakra settle for a moment, Ryuuchou signaled for his Water Clones to throw their knives at the Water Clones on the outside once again. With this attempt, Ryuuchou would find that he had managed to make a little but of headway. When the knives were thrown, it took the Water Clones that were standing and waiting several moments longer to signal that they were able to see the real Ryuuchou and his clones. This inturn made Ryuuchou realize that while he was not completely perfect in the use of the technique, he was gaining experience, even if it was only a little bit at a time. Thankfully, he had an idea for the next round of training.

He was getting closer. He could taste the finality on his tongue, he could smell the success in the air that he breathed in. He almost had the technique completely learned and under his belt, he just needed a little bit more practice. First, he needed several more Water Clones, and with a few quick sets of hand seals, he had taken care of that. Once they were fully formed from the water once more, he directed them to stand back a bit, and he signaled his original set of clones to do the same. With a fair distance, and the kunai knives having been recollected, he began once again.

His hands came together, and the medic took in several deep breaths to renew his body and get his blood filled with oxygen. As he did this, he could feel a flicker of Chakra in his Chakra Network. Ryuuchou knew it to mean that he was becoming excited, that he was becoming eager. He always seemed to work better under such conditions.

The medic's hands moved furiously, making barely a sound as his fingers curled and uncurled, as his palms pressed together and unpressed. With his level and experience, he needed less hand seals than were normally required for the B Rank level technique, but the amount was still decent, and the faster he could form the seals, the better off he would be.

As his hands were moving, so was his Chakra, crawling along the complex tunnels that made up his Chakra Network, pouring out of his Chakra Points and adding itself to a mass of energy that built up with every passing second. With his immense ability in the area of Chakra control that he had honed with his training as a medic, and even with his practice in Gejutsu, Ryuuchou was able to use as little Chakra as possible in the casting of techniques, though he still was capable of amassing quite a lot in a little bit of time. Something he planned to take advantage of in the practicing of the Invisibility Sphere technique.

With the hand seals complete, he maintained the final one to aid in his manipulation of Chakra as he had grown accustomed to doing, and for this particular technique, he had built up a lot, and was going to need every little bit of it.

The Chakra poured forth from within his body, and though he couldn't see it, he could feel it's presence, and it was encompassing his entire body. As this happened, he came to have an idea, one that he imagined would allow him to learn the jutsu hewas currently training more easily and more quickly. He would try, as he had before with the Infuin technique, to do a doible ply type thing. The technique was, after all, an add on to a previous technique, so adding a facet to it only made sense.

His idea was basically to create two spheres per each Water Clone. One that encompassed the entire party of six, and then a personal one for each, as he had been doing when he molded the Chakra before expanding it to cover each clone. To the medic, it was as worth a shot as anything, so he began to put the plan into action.

With the Chakra that he had built up already, he began to form the primary sphere of the technique; the outer most and largest, the sphere that would cover each member of the party of six. By doing this, he would be able to make the group invisible and hide them from sight while he worked on the second spheres that would allow them to maintain their invisibility if they attacked. After making use of these training wheel spheres, he would cement the primary sphere and remove the secondary spheres, achieving the technique the way that it is designed to work.

With his hand maintaining the Ram hand seal, he pushed his Chakra outward from his body, and moved it into the air above his head, creating a solid and convenient place for him to mold the Chakra. As it hovered above his head, invisible to the naked eye, he once again imagined that his hands were kneading it and shaping it, though it was all in his mind. The image of pizza dough once again took root in his mind. Whatever would help with the Chakra control.

The medic stretched his Chakra out and swirled it about in the air, folding it up and condensing it every so often to pack the Chakra together and make the invisibility as strong as he possibly could. The energy that had come from his body was mingling with the particles in the air as he shifted and shaped it, and after several moments of stretching and several instances of folding it up, he began to will it outward, spreading it over his own head, as well as the heads of all six of his Water Clones that were helping him practice. Since he couldn't attack no matter what, they were the key to this.

With the main invisibility sphere having spread seamlessly over them and having easily reached it's distance of 10 meters, Ryuuchou let it settle over the group for a moment before gathering up the determination to continue on. He was beginning to grow tired after the day's training, but he wasn't ready to give up. Not until he had mastered the technique would he allow himself some rest.

After taking a quick five second breather, Ryuuchou placed his hands together and formed several additional hand seals. Not trying to recast the technique, but almost recast it half way. He was only aiming for several small, individual sphere, and they only really were necessary for the clones, since he would remain invisible no matter what, with his inability to attack either way. His Chakra began to push out of his Chakra Points and fill up his Chakra Network, from the top of his head to the tips of his toes. Maintaining the final hand seal he had formed, he began to move the Chakra outward from himself, and into the general area within the primary invisibility sphere. He would use it to surround each of the clones, and then after that he would cement the primary sphere, making the mini spheres unnecessary.

With his attention having been split between each of the five orbs, the medic was soon made privy to the fact that focusing in such a way was too much for him, even with his particular skill set. The five orbs of Chakra that had surrounded each clone, as well as the largest sphere that surrounded all six of the party members quickly fell, the Chakra dissipating almost instantly into the air or some unknown place.

The young medic would not be deterred though. His goal was in sight, and his success was coming closer to him. He had learned much from his training so far, and he aimed to use it to push forward to completion.

His sweat covered hands slapped together and he began to rile up his Chakra, drawing on both his Physical and Spiritual Energies, combining them evenly and nearly seamlessly to produce the fuel for the Genjutu; his Chakra, which came from every Chakra Point within him.

Chakra erupted inside of the medic's body, flooding through every inch of his Chakra Network. Before he even had a chance to begin his hand signs, energy was pouring through his cells and all around his body. It wasn't so powerful as to become visible and really palpable at all, but the Water Clones that stood around him could feel it clearly. Whether it was because they were formed from a combination of water and Chakra, or because it was so intense wasn't really clear.

Ryuuchou started shifting his hands into the various hand seals that were formed in conjunction to cast the Invisibility Sphere's B Rank version. He did so easily, after having practiced the hand seals so many times at this point, and having so much experience at interlocking and unlocking his fingers as it was. With each different sign that was created, his Chakra expanded and contracted almost violently, the power within him growing by the second.

Not only did his Chakra grow, expand and contract with each seal, he made a conscious effort to manipulate it, to shape it, to change it around and imbue it with the properties that he needed; the properties of hiding one from the sight of another. He made sure to focus on doing so so that when he finally did cast it, hopefully for the last time, he would be able to cast it right. He wanted the jutsu to be able to fulfill what it was supposed to do, and that was to provide invisibility that would remain even if a recipient were to make some sort of attack.

It would have been easy to just simply cast invisibility over one's allies -- he knew, he was more than capable of it -- but maintaining that invisibility without breaking it was a different story.

Nonetheless, he found this attempt to be easier than the previous ones. His Chakra was easily molded through will and ability alone. He had ample amounts of Chakra built up from calling upon his Chakra and weaving the necessary hand seals. He had filtered the Chakra so that no more than what was absolutely needed would be used up, and all of his focus was going toward shaping and providing the power behind the Sphere of Invisibility. If he did this correctly, which he hoped he would, everyone within the sphere would be hidden from sight and everyone on the outside would be affected by the Chakra that billowed off of the sphere, and be unable to see those within it.

For the past several minutes, Ryuuchou had been molding and building upon his Chakra, eager to use it to cast his newest Genjutsu technique; hopefully successfully (though if he didn't, he would merely try again, the same cycle as he had been following). The energy continued to grow with the forming of his hand seals, and as he felt his hands together, it increased in power and stability.

The Chakra could be felt by him in the cells throughout his body; his muscle cells, his blood cells and his skin cells were charged with the energy of a ninja. It was electrifying, creating and storing so much energy for a single purpose, a single goal. One that was near to coming to fruition.

With one additional hand seal and a mental push of all the energy within him, Ryuuchou expelled the Chakra made up of Spiritual and Mental Energy out of his body and into the air around him, mentally shaping it into something of an umbrella located directly above him. From this point, he began to stretch it out into what he imagined to be a thin, white sheet, like that of a poorly done and quickly thrown together ghost costume. It fell like the veil between this world and the next, disguising his group and making them appear to not even be where they stood.

With an additional surge of Chakra, the young ninja began to add onto the almost ethereal cloth that cloaked himself and his Water Clones, attempting not to make it thick or strong, but to make it sturdy like a sheet of metal. If it was reinforced, the medic was certain that the Sphere of Invisibility would be able to stand up to any and all attacks that were carried out from inside of it. If not, then he would surely achieve that capability within the near future.

They stood there, Chakra flowing around them subtly, hidden from the sight of all but the best eyes. Ryuuchou's hold on the Chakra with his symbolic hands was strong and unyielding. The Chakra that made up the Sphere of Invisibility slowly and subtly drifted off of the outermost parts, ready to mingle with the Chakra in the minds of any foe or unknown entity. Each of the Water Clones raised their kunai knives and let them fly towards the "enemy"; the group of Water Clones whom they were hidden from.

As the blades passed through the boundary that separated the inside and the outside of the sphere, his Chakra surged lightly, and his control over the globe formed of Chakra stiffened. He hoped that with all he had done beforehand, coupled with what he had just done, the invisibility affect would be maintained and the B Ranked version of the Sphere of Invisibility would be cemented.

Just as the Water Clones began to revert back into water, they had begun to raise up their arms to signal that the group had become visible.

"This is getting ridiculous," Ryuuchou said to himself, huffing in frustration. He knew he was doing everything right, from the hand seals, to the Chakra concentration. Hell, even the amount of Chakra he was using was damn near perfect. He couldn't figure out what he was doing wrong.

"Guess I'll just have to keep practicing," he said quietly, moving up to the water while weaving a series of hand seals, creating another group of Water Clones to act as prey.

He walked back over to his group of clones and stood at their center, making sure they were all within the maximum range of the Invisibility Sphere's range. With his hands slapping together, and his attitude that of being eager to get this God forsaken jutsu out of the way, and to move on and get some rest after a long day, he began anew.

Each hand seal brought about a surge of Chakra, and the energy was coming out of his Chakra Points as if it were water from a faucet. If there were any sort of dam anywhere within his Chakra Network, this fast and powerfully flowing Chakra would break through it and end it's existence. The hand seals were quickly done, his hands moving easily through the progression, his fingers locking and unlocking like a well oiled machine. He had been through them so many times that this particular jutsu was almost second nature to him, being done with barely any thought.

Soon, the Chakra was built up to a perfect amount, and Ryuuchou was on to the next portion of practicing the technique -- Chakra control and molding. With the hand seals finished, Ryuuchou pressed his hands together forcefully, and though they were sweaty, he did not let them slip by any means. His Chakra needed to be molded perfectly, and he needed to have the utmost concentration. With these conditions, he was capable of great feats of Chakra control -- his Infuin seal was proof of that.

He began to let the Chakra move up above him, hovering over him for only a minute before he began to spread it out in the shape of a dome, covering himself and each of the five Water Clones. It occurred to him that he might not be getting the jutsu done so easily because he was taking so long to do it, and it was losing it's form as he went through each step.

Within moments, the Chakra was all encompassing, and they were hopefully being hidden from sight. With a rush of the rest of his Chakra, Ryuuchou aimed to cement the invisibility effect over each of his Water Clones and himself. He knew that no matter what, if he attacked the jutsu would be over. For his clones however, they had the capability of attacking and maintaining their invisibility under this particular Genjutsu. With the final step of letting his Chakra slowly drift off of his sphere and mingle in the air until it came in contact with the Chakra of other people's brains, Ryuuchou signaled his five Water Clones to throw their knives, and continued powering and shaping the jutsu, aiming to maintain their cover.

Description: The user performs the required handseals and then, utilizing their right hand, slams that same hand onto the ground. Chakra quickly rushes out of the user's palm into the earth, saturating the Earth in an area effect based upon the user's Ninja Rank with chakra. This chakra does multiple things at once, changing the viscosity of the ground itself, enough to semi-liquidize the dirt into a very thick mud-like substance that makes movement almost impossible. The speed at which this transformation occurs is rapid, and, combined with the huge size of the swamp itself, makes it so that once the opponent is caught within the jutsu, there is no escape for them. In order to prevent the ground from re-solidifying, the user must also continuously put chakra into the ground. Trying to move with this ability in effect is similar to trying to move through quicksand; it only causes you to sink faster.

~Several Days Later~

During his readings at the library, the medic known as Ryuuchou Meimu had stumbled upon an old looking and dusty scroll wedged behind several books near the back of the building. Upon unfurling it, he came across a technique that, though incredibly powerful and very taxing on the user, peaked his interest and made him very eager. He had some experience with the use of Earth Style Ninjutsu, but he had never learned something like this, so it served as a challenge that he wished to overcome.

He read the scroll over very carefully, making sure to play close attention to the hand seals that were required -- there were quite a few because of the high rank of the technique -- as well as the key directions, such as the need to slam the right hand down upon the ground after forming the hand seals in order to produce the jutsu. Another thing that he noticed was that one had to use their Chakra to achieve a variety of affects at the same time, and the Chakra needed to spread a great deal through the ground in order for the technique to be of any real use in battle. At Ryuuchou's current level, he calculated that he'd be capable of making a swamp about twenty meters in diameter and five meters deep, and this was going off of the technique's guidelines. Of course, he knew his first few attempts would be much smaller, if they even managed to yield anything at all.

He also read about the Chakra drain that came with the casting and maintaining of the swamp. It would first take 25% of the user's total Chakra when the technique was first cast -- probably because there was so much that needed to be started and carried through -- and then would proceed to drain about 3% of what was left after that over every several seconds in order to keep up the affect. Ryuuchou imagined that it took so much less because it was simply spreading out much quicker and did not need as much to keep the earth in the saturated state. If his math was correct, he would be able to keep the technique going for around two and a half minutes total, maybe more if it were a good day and he was lucky.

After feeling confident that he had learned all that he needed to know about the technique, and feeling that he had a firm grasp on it, he went about coming up with a plan for learning it. He would first start by learning the hand seals and getting them down as well as he could. After doing that, he would start practicing the jutsu, pushing his Chakra as far as he possibly could through the earth, rock and soil, and achieving all the processes that he needed to with the energy as well. He knew that if he really applied himself, he could get the jutsu down in no time, and he knew that if he could do this and maintain it, he could do a lot more than he had ever thought himself capable of. It was time to begin, and so he immediately started to ready his body for the massive outburst of Chakra that it was going to experience.

He was standing in the perfect place for the practicing of the technique; a wide, open space that he used to come to often as a child. He did his first ninja training here after his first day at the Ninja Academy; he had come a long way in the use of shuriken, kunai and other thrown weapons since those days had occurred. Unfortunately, since then the field had become known for other practices, the training dummies that he had once practiced on were long gone, leaving nothing but wide open spaces in their wake. On the other, more fortunate hand, it left him with the perfect place to learn the Swamp of the Underworld Technique.

Greedily sucking in the fresh air that hung around him, he felt invigorated. Sitting beneath a shining sun, feeling the gentle and cool breeze on his face, he could only think that he had chosen the best and worst place to practice. On one hand, it was beautiful and he would easily be able to concentrate. On the other, he would be all but destroying the area in a matter of time. He could always help to beautify it later though. Time and effort could yield fruitful results.

Moving on from his thoughts though, he opened the scroll up and to the point that talked about the Swamp of the Underworld Technique. He wanted it nearby for reference, in case he needed to look upon it for any reason that may arise. Taking a moment to check the checks of his mental checklist, Ryuuchou decided that all the conditions were right, and everything was ready for him to begin.

The hazel eyed boy slowly went through the hand seals that he needed to perform in order to produce the jutsu. Counting each one as it was performed, he came up with the number of twenty four. He felt that the number was a little high though, and he felt that he could shave a few hand seals off. After thinking over it for some time, he decided that he would probably be able to get away with using sixteen hand seals for the technique, and so he stuck with learning to perform the jutsu with that number. (OOC: This is because of the 1/3 reduction I receive for being a B Class Non Tai Spec.)

It took him a little while, but after practicing those sixteen hand seals over and over again for about a half of an hour, the medical ninja felt that he had them memorized nearly perfectly, if not completely perfectly. Though that part of the training was always the most tedious and most grueling, it was necessary. After locking his fingers together, pulling them apart and separating them only to throw them into each other once more over and over again in the same patterns, Ryuuchou was confident that there would be no screw ups during his training, or any time after that that he found he needed to use the Swamp of the Underworld Technique.

With that part of the training being done, the male wove his fingers together and folded them momentarily, then pushed his hands outward, palm forward, cracking each and every one of his knuckles simultaneously. His hands were stiff and tired from practicing the hand seals, and before he started weaving them again to focus and mold his Chakra, he needed to loosen them up.

After that was finished, he began to weave the hand seals once again, this time adding his Chakra to the mix. With each hand seals he formed he could feel the Chakra changing shape inside of him, growing to higher levels. He could feel his Chakra being drained, and by just feeling it out, he could tell that about 15% of his Chakra was gone at that specific point in time. He needed to use up about 10% more to have even the slightest chance of casting the technique successfully. Upon forming the final hand seal, he pushed himself a bit harder, concentrating on creating the Chakra and drawing it out of his Chakra Network, and moving it throughout his Chakra Network and into his right hand. He needed to locate it there because his right hand would be slamming down on the ground to cast the jutsu.

The most recent push that Ryuuchou made on his Chakra seemed to be successful. He could feel deep within himself that he had just prepared a great deal of Chakra, and that a big chunk it was absent from his reserves. The medic took this feeling to mean that he had managed to pull up at least 25% of his Chakra. If it was a slightly too much, or slightly too little an amount, he would soon know. At least, he hoped he would.

With a great deal of concentration, he had managed to transfer the great amount of Chakra into his right hand and contain it there. Though he was struggling to keep it focused in such a small area, he was managing just the same. It was only a matter of time though, and he knew it was a fact. He could feel it's truth with every passing second. Before he managed to lose the Chakra, he thrusted his hand toward the ground with the palm facing outward. With a soft pound, his palm was firmly planted in the grass.

Upon making contact with the ground, the Chakra quickly flooded out of Ryuuchou's hand and into the earth. As he felt it drain out of his body, he felt a strange feeling in his right hand. It was almost like the warm, tingling sensation one gets once they have regained the feeling in their hands after a part of their body had fallen asleep. It made the medic smile for some reason. He seemed to really enjoy the feeling.

However, the happy, warm feeling he received soon disappeared from him as he looked at the ground and saw nothing happening. All the Chakra that he had just used had been all for nothing, it seemed. He waited several more seconds before finally giving in to the fact that he had completely and utterly failed. Though it was somewhat depressing to him, he wouldn't let it get him down. If he let it get to him even a little bit, it would turn into a full on downward tailspin. Instead, he would learn from his mistakes, analyze, and try again.

After about fifteen minutes of thinking about what he did, but more importantly, what he didn't do, Ryuuchou came to the conclusion that he hadn't molded the Chakra enough. He also felt that he probably should not have lifted his hand from the ground so soon. The lack of molding his Chakra had lead to the jutsu not being properly formed before the casting was attempted, and having raised his hand up off the ground too soon made it impossible for him to truly direct the Chakra into and around in the earth. Even if he had molded the Chakra well enough, he would probably only have been left with a small little swamp puddle, if that. For the next attempt, he would need to mold his Chakra more effectively, and he would need to direct that Chakra much better by keeping his hand on the ground for a longer period of time.

With these things in mind, he started to weave the sixteen necessary hand seals for the jutsu once more, aiming to practice yet again at performing and producing the jutsu correctly. Each hand seals brought up more Chakra from within his reserves and gave ease to molding it for a purpose. The particular arrangement, pattern and rhythm of the hand seals was like a code to his Chakra Network that Chakra was being prepared for a powerful Earth Style technique, and so his Chakra Points began to pour forth the fuel for the Swamp of the Underworld Technique once again.

Hand signs followed one after the other, creating a specific path within the medic's body that the Chakra would follow. It needed to incubate for a short period of time to give the proper shape and definition, to provide the "master" Ryuuchou the proper control over the wild, untamed but tameable beast, the Chakra. With each passing moment, his power over the energy that formed from his Spiritual and Physical Energy, his manipulation of the lifeblood of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, grew ever stronger.

He felt it easier to build such high levels of Chakra this time around, if only by a little bit, and the strain on his body did not feel nearly as heavy as it had the previous time. Before, the valves and pipes that made up the incredibly small but also incredibly large Chakra Network had felt as if they would pop if even the slightest imbalence occurred. With this attempt, Ryuuchou felt like his Chakra had some wiggle room within the confines of the vessels that pas

And as the Chakra grew and grew, and traversed the circuits that crossed all throughout his expansive body, Ryuuchou felt the power being depleted, the Chakra exiting his reserves at a great rate. Though he still had plenty left, he felt that he was beginning to learn about how taxing this technique could truly be, and by extension, how dangerous it could be to use on the field in a real situation, such as a true ninja battle or showdown. It also helped him to realize how powerful it was, and how useful it could be. Ryuuchou was seeing both sides, the good and the bad; he was seeing the gentle balance of the technique, and through that, the balance of the world. He was seeing how easily something could be great for good or evil, and how easily the balance could be tipped.

As he took this lesson from the training that he had been working so hard on, his Chakra began to swell and he knew that it was again time to try once more. With a quick push, and a surge into his hand, as well as a little bit of extra molding on the way there, as well as once it reached the appendage, the dark haired male was ready for action, and so he thrust his hand, throbbing with Chakra, down into the ground, palm facing the ripe green grass that blew softly in the wind and covered the ever so expansive earth.

To keep himself from so quickly pulling his hand up and away from the ground like before, the ninja gripped the dirt, plunging his nails and fingers into the earth, tearing at the grass ever so slightly. As he did this, he could feel the transfer of energy, he experienced the passage of his Chakra from within his hand to inside of the earth. As this happened, he almost attached himself to his Chakra, holding onto it as he did the ground, letting it reach downward like a string or a rope. It settled for a moment, until Ryuuchou pushed on the Chakra from the inside out, causing it to effectively radiate throughout the inside of the earth. His goal was to make it spread, and then have it start to affect the ground, changing the viscosity and creating the effects of the Swamp of the Underground.
