"Are you sure about this, Ryuuchou? This is... Well, its one of the most advanced medical techniques in the world. Hell, as seals go, this is one of the most complicated there is," said the voice of a woman, calm but concerned. She stood in the room with the young medic who sat at a table that was covered with several scrolls, each one with the same coloring -- green outline with a white middle.

"Don't tell me you're doubting me," said the male, a small grin on his face. "This is something I've been working to for a long time. I'm ready to start the process of learning it. Plus, I'm gonna read up on the history and the workings before anything. I'm not just gonna jump in half-cocked," he assured her, turning back to her with fire in his eyes. "I get that you're worried, but if you don't trust that I can do this, you might as well be saying you don't trust me as a medic."

His mind was made up, and the woman nodded. She stepped backwards toward the door, and made her way out, closing it behind her.

"First thing's first," Ryuuchou said, placing his hand on the scroll farthest to the right. The particular scroll contained information on the history of the technique. It was once called the Life Seal, Itonamifuin, and was developed by a medical ninja who hailed from the Hyuuga Clan. She realized the need for the creation of such a thing after having encountered a man -- a Toujitakumi -- who had the ability to create massive and grand explosions. Her injuries were so severe that she knew she needed something that could heal on a grand scale.

She studied with the Aburame to gain insight on passive chakra draining, and using her incredible medical prowess and unrivaled chakra control. Apparently their insects were capable of such a thing. With this knowledge in her grasp, she developed the Life Seal, a seal that would passively drain chakra and store it at a point in the forehead to later be used for massive, large scale healing techniques.

The first time she used it was in the battle where she defeated the man who had become the bane of her existence, but the name she had given was trounced out by the onlookers, who renamed it the Infuin, or Shadow Seal.

"Interesting," mused the medic, his bottom lip moving between his teeth almost involuntarily. "I wonder why the name was changed like that though." He continued reading the scroll, picking up any and all details he could about it.

He had to place the seal on himself before he could do anything, and he knew that forming the seal was going to be a bit difficult. His chakra control was certainly well above average, but he had never really done anything on this level, and he had exactly zero experience with Fuinjutsu.

Then again, it was sort of like when he first got into Medical Ninjutsu. It had been new to him, and required him to work on a level that was entirely different, but he had been able to do it just fine. This was just like any other chakra control technique, but on a higher level. He was confident that he would be able to build the chakra in his forehead and maintain it long enough to allow the seal to form.

If he couldn't right away, he would try and try again. Something his parents always stressed, but that he didn't always live by. This would be one of the times he did.

"The seal is formed through chakra control alone. I wish I could just draw on my face and do some handseals or something," said Ryuuchou, his lips puckered a bit to the side. "Nothing is worth having if it's easy though. That's what everyone says, so there must be at least some truth to it," he thought aloud, reading over the scroll once more. He was almost pushing off the actual process of placing the seal onto himself, too nervous and, though he would never admit it, dreading the actual process of it.

If he didn't do it now, though, he'd never get it done. He knew himself well enough to know that it was the absolute truth. Standing up slowly, stretching his entire body out, cracking his knuckles, his neck, his ankle -- pretty much anything that could be cracked, and then some -- he stared at the spot where he would be performing the "procedure".

It seemed so alien to him, and so uninviting. The center of a large circle that was on the floor, a decoration created by the tilework. He had chosen this room specifically because of it. He thought that feeling as if he were at the center of something large, it would help him to focus, to find his own center, and to concentrate on it, pulling his full strength from it. It would give him a focal point to concentrate on, and he knew it could only help if anything at all.

"Well, there's no time like the present," he mumbled, making his way to the circle and placing himself smack dab in the middle of it, lowering himself down and folding his legs in a position he often took when meditating.

He placed his left hand on his left leg, and raised his right up to his chest, forming half of the Ram handseal, which he often did when he would be focusing for a great period of time. Before he got into it though, he was going to go over the stages of the procedure that he had decided to follow.

"Breath and calm down, remember what you need to do, and what has to happen for this to work. Clear your mind, and focus your chakra. Build it up and let it swell, let it move all throughout you and all around you, and focus it to the center of your forehead. Don't push yourself, and try not to overwhelm yourself. If you need, take a break, the progress won't all go away if you stop for a minute. You won't forget and have to start over. This will get easier."

His pep talk was actually making him feel better about the task at hand. He felt his confidence build, and his determination increase with each word. His body and mind were clear, as well as somewhat pumped up, as if it knew what it was about to attampt. And he was ready to begin. He was ready to start a process that was going to be more difficult and more life-changing than anything else he had ever done.

He began to call forth his chakra from all over his body, and allowed it to grow slowly and carefully, amassing it within his center.

Ryuuchou felt every bit of chakra in his body, and it continuously grew with each passing second, his mind and body working in harmony to produce it. His chakra points were open completely, his chakra network was like a system of storm drains, and his chakra was the water, flowing everywhere and anywhere it could reach, the pressure building and building. It was there for the using of whatever Ryuuchou could think to do, and though there was much chakra amassed, Ryuuchou still felt fine. Not too tired at all.

'I can see why this is something that requires great chakra control,' he thought to himself, making sure not to split too much of his concentration. 'If I didn't have the degree of control I do, I'd probably be out cold, or worse.'

He focused hard, building and building the Chakra, knowing that if he built too much or too little that he would fail, and need to start all over again. The enormity of the seal was beginning to take it's toll on him, and he knew that if he wasn't careful he could seriously harm himself. The risks that could possibly be involved in what he was doing began to dawn on him. If he formed the seal even slightly off, what might happen to him? What if it sucked up his Chakra all at once? It was supposed to be a small vacuum that took in and compressed his Chakra little by little, but he hadn't thought of what it could do should it be formed wrong.

'No no no, that won't happen. I won't let it happen. I'm perfectly capable of this. I won't form this wrong, I'll form it right,' he thought to himself, so sure of himself that he didn't see how the there could be no fruits for all of his labor. 'I'll form it better than anybody ever has before me. This has been my goal for the last year and a half, and I'll be damned if a little mistake, or a little fear will deter me.'

His concentration was stalwart, and though his eyes were closed tightly, the young medic could feel the chakra flowing all around him, and it felt so potent, so intense, that he knew without seeing that it was almost visible around him, every single bit of energy that he had amassed. It was just perfect. How could it possibly not be? Now was the time for him to place the seal.

Clapping both his hands together, the medic focused all of his concentration onto the center of his forehead, and with the skill of the Genjutsu and Medical Specialist that he was, he funneled all of his Chakra to it, imagining the seal being placed onto his forehead. The Chakra slowly began to settle and shift, and he could feel the formation of something -- it was surely the seal. He felt it on his skin, in his head, he felt the Chakra flowing into it. After all he had done, it had to have worked.

Quickly rising to his feet, the medic rushed to the nearest mirror located near the door of the room. He gazed into it, his eyes immediately falling upon his own forehead. At first he didn't see anything, and his heart skipped a beat, his eyes searching desparately for the diamond shaped mark that was the Infuin Seal. He had almost lost hope when he realized that, due to the immense power of his circulating Chakra, his hair had fallen over part of his forehead.

'It has to be there. I know that I did it correctly, and that it worked. It had to have worked,' he thought, his hand rapidly moving up from underneath his face, his hai running through his fingers, moving up with his extremity.

But the seal wasn't there. He saw nothing, and his heart sank deeper than he would have thought possible until then. He had failed, and he wanted to give up.

'No,' came a voice inside his head, echoing through the walls that made up his subconscious. 'Try and try again. Do it not only for yourself, but for your Hidden Village. This technique could potentially save lives one day, and not just yours, but the lives of others.'

He had no idea where the voice was coming from, or who's it was. It certainly wasn't his own, and it wasn't one that he recognized. However, he knew that what it said was true, and so with renewed determination, Ryuuchou vowed not to give in so quickly again, like he had already told himself he wouldn't.

Moving himself back into the circle, training scrolls in his arms, he decided to come up with a new plan of action, using what he had learned, mostly taking his mistakes that he might have made into account, and better himself for the next time. The only thing he could think to do was to lessen the pressure of Chakra in the area that the Infuin Seal was to be placed. His forehead.

With one of the scrolls open across his lap, he found an image of the human body, but it was not the external body, nor was it the internal organs and veins. It appeared to be the Chakra Network, as well as the Eight Gates. Finding the location of the seal, the reason it was placed in such an area seemed to dawn on him instantly.

"Its in the middle of two of the Gates. That's brilliant. Where else would it be able to slowly leech and absorb Chakra so sufficiently?" he said to himself, shaking his head at his own ignorance. "If I lessen the chakra and pressure around my forehead until the end, rather than focus on the spot and increase it there the whole time, I'm sure to have a better chance at succeeding."

Taking several more moments to look at the chart, taking into account the locations of the other Eight Gates, as well as the complexity of the Chakra Network, Ryuuchou decided what his next steps would be.

"If I can lessen the flow of Chakra between the first two Gates, and swell my Chakra up and do all that fun manipulation stuff, I should be able to place the seal on my forehead more easily. There won't be so much resistance, and then when the Chakra has settled there, I can increase the flow there a bit more, so as to cement the seal into place, and be done with all of this craziness."

He had a new plan, and he had a more positive attitude. He had renewed determination, and a more powerful reason for succeeding. He was ready to give it another go.

The young medic, now more determined than ever, sat back down in the center of the circle on the floor. Closing his eyes, he felt around within himself to make sure that he would actually be capable of carrying out his plan. The last thing he wanted was to drain himself of Chakra and/or cause lasting damage to his Chakra Network, or the organs that the system wove through. If he did anything like that, the current training, as well as all the training he had done so far, would all have been in vain.

Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, the medical ninja reflected on the recent past, the period of time that he had spent in the training room of the small, makeshift hospital. He could almost feel the paths in his body that his Chakra had traveled, and he could almost sense his Chakra preparing for more wear and tear. Ryuuchou was more than eager for all of this training to be over, and for the seal to be placed on him so that, one day in the future, he'd be able to use it in order to help his village.

His hands came together, and in the stillness of the air, the sound of the clap seemed louder than it should have. It was like thunder in his ears. The power that resonated through him upon hearing the sound was indescribable, and he suddenly found a whole new will, this one seemingly formed of iron. Within seconds, his Chakra was being activated, and he could feel it building up within him.

Before the power could amass too much though, Ryuuchou remembered his plan and started to put it into action. With a lot of concentration, he lessened the flow of Chakra between the first two Celestial Gates, located somewhere behind the eyes if he remembered correctly. With the flow of Chakra being lessened there, it would be easier to build up Chakra in other parts of his body, and when the time came, it would be asier to place the seal between his eyes -- between the two Gates.

He continued to concentrate, and the Chakra that had been redirected from his forehead began to flow down his neck and into his chest and arms. The medic's hands were still held together, palm to palm, and he could feel the Chakra around his body and the hair on the back of his neck was standing up, he could taste it on his tongue sweet and powerful, he could smell it in the air, his nostrils stung ever so gently by it. The power had become so potent that it was tangible to his senses. He knew he was getting closer to success.

Everything was going perfectly. Ryuuchou was comfortable with his output, the Chakra could be felt all around him, and he wasn't feeling too tired or worn out. His first Chakra Gates had little to no Chakra flowing between them, and as he felt the Chakra continuously building in his system and amassing all around him, he began to prepare himself for focusing the Chakra that he had built up and gathered between the first two Gates that were hidden by his eyes. In doing so, he would finally place the seal on himself, the goal of all the training he had done thus far.

His concentration was reaching peak, and his Chakra Network was working overtime to produce the Chakra he needed while maintaining a balance and control over it. His eyes were closed tight and his palms were growing sweaty from the power that coursed around his inner organs. The medic could feel the build up of energy in his muscles, in his heart. Though there was a definite strain being placed on his body, he felt good about the situation. He was nearing his goal.

Finally, the ninja began to focus not on building Chakra, but focusing it. Chakra Gates one and two were all but shut off, and with that, he began to direct the traffic towards his forehead, which had been devoid of Chakra flow for the last however many minutes. But before the built up Chakra could even approach his forehead and compress itself, his handle on the Chakra disappeared. It was as if his hands had suddenly let go of the energy, and released it into the air.

All of a sudden, his Chakra stopped flowing. The taste disappeared from his tongue and left his mouth dry and sticky, the hair on the back of his neck began to settle as the power evaporated from around him, the scent was gone from his nostrils and could no longer be detected.

Opening but one of his eyes and keeping the other closed, he looked around the room as if he were going to see some sort of vent sucking all of his Chakra up, but he knew before his eye had even opened that that was not the case. He had exhausted himself and drained himself dry, and his body had known it. It had taken control of itself and stopped before any damage could be done.

"I'll never fail to be amazed by the human body," said Ryuuchou, shaking his head with a smile. "Might as well just sleep here, since I'll be right back here tomorrow, and it probably won't be easy getting home anyway."

With that, Ryuuchou laid back and fell asleep, with training to be continued the next day.

The next morning, Ryuuchou woke up to the sunlight shining in through a window and onto his face. He had dreamed of nothing but a bright blue light the entire time he slept, and that was a testament to his dedication, to his determination.

He sat up quickly and looked around him, seeing that nothing had changed except for the amount of light that was being cast into the room. It was still early, and he would have plenty of time to train throughout the day. For now, he needed to eat, and there was a great little stand just outside that was perfect for him.

45 Minutes Later

Returning from outside almost an hour later, Ryuuchou felt much more refreshed and energized than he had when he had first woken up. He could feel his physical energy growing from the food he had ingested, and he could feel his spiritual energy returning after his long rest, as well as from the beautiful day that was just feet from his place at the center of the room.

"This would be so much easier with hand signs," he remarked to himself, sighing quietly to release any and all tension that might still be contained within him. It was a new day, and the medic was feeling renewed himself. It was time to get down to training.

Ryuuchou started by, like all the other times, clapping his hands together and pushing them against each other to help him concentrate his Chakra. His eyes closed and his breathing began to grow quiet and steady, deep and calm. Everything in his surroundings faded slowly to the back of his mind, and soon ceased to exist. A small dripping could be heard, and in his mind's eye, the medic could see a rippling.

His Chakra surged forward with the power of a white water river. He stopped up the flow of Chakra in his head slightly, allowing that Chakra to instead pour itself into his chest, where he was centralizing his Chakra, and attempting to condense it as much as he could without over straining himself. In his mind, it made sense to begin squeezing the Chakra sooner rather than later, since he would need to do so when implanting the seal for real on his forehead. As he focused on doing so, he began to envision a small diamond shape, aiming to focus the Chakra in such a way.

His Chakra continued to build over time, and he made sure that he was pulling it from each and every place on his body. From his head, from his arms and his hands, from his legs and his feet, from his chest and his back. Every Chakra Point in his body was active, and he could almost feel the Chakra moving through his body, traveling the incredibly small and invisible Chakra Network. He could feel himself coming closer and closer to his greatest goal ever.

Everything continued to fade away from Ryuuchou's consciousness, and he perceived nothing but his own body and the Chakra flowing through him. He had never before focused so much of his energy and contained it as he was before. He had used his Chakra for sure, but never such an amount, and never to such an extent. The amount required for the formation of the seal almost surprised him, but when he thought about it, it wasn't exactly unbelievable.

He was creating a seal -- something that, in and of itself requires a great deal of energy and skill -- but this seal was different. Instead of solely being made up of Chakra, it was both made of Chakra and then absorbed Chakra and compressed it. Compressing Chakra into such a small space was sure to require a great amount of energy.

Ryuuchou was nearing the point where he was getting ready to attempt the seal formation again. He could feel his Chakra swelling up and he could feel every cell in his body reacting to it. He was feeling electrified, energized, and most important of all, he felt the power and adrenaline rush that came with being in full control of so much power. Possessing it was one thing, but possessing absolute control over it was another, much more exhilarating feeling. He could feel every part of his body tingle.

The Chakra began to become palpable again, almost physically and nearly visible to the human eye, to Ryuuchou's eye. He could smell the Chakra, and it made his nose tingle and buzz. He could feel his lip vibrating, the Chakra pulsing through him. He could feel it flowing around him, almost like a cool, brisk wind blowing, but going around and not through him, as if he were manipulating it. And then it dawned on him; he really was manipulating it. He could move it more left, he could move it more right. He could expand it and restrict it. The medic could do whatever he wanted with it. It obeyed his will.

This was as good a time as any, it seemed. Ryuuchou was ready. He could feel his energy leap and arc with his excitement as his spirit soared. If this time wasn't a success, then perhaps the time after, and if that wasn't, then he felt sure that the time after that would be the one. He would train and train until his goal came to fruition, and he had taken the reigns of the pinnacle of medical ninjutsu.

With his Chakra reaching the feeling of being at the level of critical mass, the medic felt it was the perfect moment to make his next attempt. He wouldn't be wasting any more time, and he wasn't going to waste his energy and concentration, his determination and his drive. For the medical ninja, it was becoming a matter of pride. It was becoming personal, as if he were competing with the medical profession. He would prove his worth and master the Infuin Seal.

Before doing anything, Ryuuchou focused intensely and shifted his hands from being palm to palm, and being in the Ram hand seal. He needed the hand seal to help him focus his energies, to focus his Chakra. He knew that he needed to condense it as much as he possibly could and then move it through his body and the air, between the first two Gates in his forehead, and imprint the vacuum like seal on him once and for all.

With the forming of his two hands into the Ram hand seal came a greater feeling of control over the Chakra. He was better able to tighten and confine it, and he took all the Chakra that had managed to escape his body and hover in the air and bring it back into his arms and his chest. When the medic could feel that he had gotten every bit of it, and that none of it had managed to escape into the atmosphere, he began to work on the next step; fully compressing the Chakra and moving it into his forehead area, where he would finally place the seal.

Ryuuchou's eyelids became tight, his teeth gripped his lower lip in a tight bite, and his hands clenched around each other in an even stronger grip than he had had before. With all the will power he could muster, he began to use what he felt was the most outer Chakra that he had built up, as well as new Chakra that he was building and focusing, to push in on the Chakra that he had amassed thus far. His aim was to use the outer and newer Chakra to push in on and condense all of the Chakra in total. He felt it was easier and more practical than trying to make the Chakra smaller.

As he went about doing this, it felt to him that his idea was a good one, and he felt that he was succeeding with it. He could feel the Chakra completely at this point, and he could tell that the space it occupied in his body, in his Chakra Network, in the cells of his body, was getting smaller and smaller as time went on and as he pushed more into it, but he could also feel that the power was being maintained, he even felt slight spikes of power, indicating it was growing even stronger and forceful. He knew that this next time or the time after would yield his success.

The medic's Chakra was becoming smaller and smaller, slowly but surely. As time passed -- and with his recent successes, it seemed to be passing by quickly -- he felt that it was growing in strength and decreasing in size, slowly arriving at his goal. Everything was going exactly as he hoped that it would, and he was nearing the completion and imprinting of the Infuin Seal Training. He would truly be a master of the medical arts, and he was eager for that truth to be realized.

After about fifteen or so minutes of working against the powerful amount of Chakra and compressing it down, he had managed to get it to the relative size of about a baseball. Feeling that, at the moment, that was as small as he was going to be able to make it as he was, Ryuuchou decided to begin the process of placing the seal. Hopefully for real and for good this time. While he wouldn't straight up reject and protest against further attempts, he was beginning to think that the training was getting old.

'No matter,' he thought to himself as he focused on manipulating his Chakra to move through his Chakra Network, away from his chest and up towards his head. 'This is something I have to do, and it's something that I know I can do. At any cost.' By this point, he had managed to get the Chakra up somewhere near his throat. With a further push, he had it up through the Chakra Network that extended into his throat, and had it near the bottom of his head. He knew where it was because he was beginning to feel the pressure all of the Chakra was placing on him. At that moment, it was most prevalent on his jaw.

The hazel eyed male could almost taste his success, and soon the Infuin would belong to him, and begin absorbing his Chakra like the vacuum that it was to act as. With just a bit more focus and force, Ryuuchou would be able to begin imprinting the seal on himself. Allowing himself a new breath, which he made both quick and deep, he made what he hoped was the final push. His teeth bit harder onto his bottom lip and his breathing grew louder, with each exhale pushing out more Carbon Dioxide then the last, and each inhale bringing more sweet oxygen to fuel his body.

The mass of Chakra began moving up again, through the entirety of Ryuuchou's face, and he could feel it all the way. He was starting to grow tired at this point, and to him, that just went to show how much harder he was working this time, how much more Chakra he had built up and sent through his body, how much closer he was and how much he had grown through this training. With several pushes on the mass of Chakra through exerting additional Chakra on it from Chakra Points and pushing up on it through his will, the Chakra that would become the Infuin Seal upon the center of his forehead had reached it's destination. All that was left was to begin the placement.

With his mass of built up Chakra waiting at his forehead, Ryuuchou went about planning the placement of the Infuin Seal. There were so many ways he could go about it. He could simply begin to press the Chakra with his hands clapped once again, and use pure Chakra control to shape it into the seal itself. He could try and cement it into place by flowing Chakra through his forehead while the mass of Chakra was there, allowing it to absorb the Chakra and stick into place as the seal. He could do any number of things, but the latter idea of flowing Chakra appealed more to him. And so he started.

With the Chakra sitting and being held there by Ryuuchou's will, the medic removed his hands from the Ram hand seal, and clapped them together forcefully, the sweat already building from the strain that his body had on it at the moment. The male began to groan quietly, and his face was scrunched up and wrinkly. It was taking everything he had to multitask with his Chakra and his Chakra Network.

The Chakra Points around the first two Celestial Gates now had Chakra running through them, into the mass of Chakra that Ryuuchou had built up and moved into his head. As this happened by Ryuuchou's will alone, he also was concentrating on the mass itself, almost trying to push it out and onto his forehead. He was starting to realize that what he was doing might not work as well as he thought it would. With all of the Chakra cooped up inside of him, there was none that he could really use on the outside to form the seal. All he was really doing was twisting and spiraling the energy, and letting additional Chakra run through it.

After trying for several minutes and making almost zero progress, he cut off the flow of Chakra and allowed it all to dissipate. During his most recent attempt at forming the seal, he had gone wrong toward the middle of the process. The important thing was that he knew where he had gone wrong, and he knew what he had to do to fix it and make sure that he achieved success the next attempt.

When he had amassed so much Chakra that it began to flow out and around him was when he made his mistake. Instead of taking it all back inside of his body and condensing it immediately, he should have let it continue to drift around him, and focus what was inside into his forehead, and then focus the rest of it on the outside, creating a sort of two-ply effect. Forming the seal on the inside and the outside, which, after thinking on it, seemed like what needed to be done to the medic.

With this new knowledge, experience and planning, Ryuuchou immediately began to attempt the formation and imprinting of the Infuin Seal upon himself.

After failing one more time, Ryuuchou had a new plan. Instead of going over it in his head again, and allowing himself a break, he decided that he needed to just push on through, and jump right on into the act. If he didn't, he was afraid he would have a much harder time doing so than if he did it immediately after trying to place the seal and master the jutsu. After all, it was fresh in his mind, and his body was still in the mode that would be the most optimal for the training since he had been training just moments ago. It was prime time.

The brown haired ninja brought his hands together hard and fast, the sound of the clap spreading through the room quickly, yet momentarily. He closed his eyes slowly and began breathing quietly, with a pattern of long deep breaths in and long, slow breaths out. Without waiting too long, he began to call forth his Chakra once more, drawing on both his Spiritual and Physical Energies. Within a few seconds his Chakra began to move about and mobilize throughout his entire body, pouring out of every Chakra Point from his head to his toes. It would only be a matter of time before he had built it up.

With his hands being pressed closely together, and with the hazel eyed medic's concentration completely on his Chakra control, everything started to drift away as it often did during intense training sessions. As the Chakra began to build up in his Chakra Network, he let it run throughout the course instead of trying to tighten it up like he had before. With it building and growing throughout his Chakra Network without hinderance, it would start to flow out sooner, and that meant that Ryuuchou would be able to move forward with the training that much faster.

Sooner rather than later, he began to feel the Chakra as if it were actually tangible. He could feel it moving around him, making the hairs on the back of his neck and on his arms stand on end. He could sense the power that came with it, and just like before he began to feel the power rush of having so much energy under his control. Just as it drifted around his body outside, it did the same on the inside, pouring into all of his cells through the connections of the Chakra Network. The power was slowly but surely growing, and he knew that it was once again time to attempt to place the seal on himself, making sure to remember the two-ply idea that he had.

With his Chakra built up and flowing heavily throughout his Chakra Network, as well as outside of his body, Ryuuchou began the process of imprinting the Infuin Seal on himself. Hopefully this time it would work. He had lost count of how many times he had already tried it, so that was a clear indicator to the ninja that he needed to wrap it up and move on from it.

Making sure that he had a handle on all of his Chakra, both the inner and outer, Ryuuchou started moving forward by separating his hands and then placing them into the form of the Ram hand seal, so as to better aid in his control of the large amount of Chakra. As he knew from his most recent attempt at mastering the jutsu, the multitasking Chakra control was difficult, even with the Ram hand seal being used.

As each of his hands gripped the other one, his fingers locking tightly into place, he began to move his Chakra around simply through thought, and the iron will that he had managed to build up. Thinking of it like water allowed him to make it flow more easily, as well as to envision it and picture it in his mind. Without the image, it was a little bit more difficult to actually manipulate the Chakra the way he wanted to. No matter how tangible it may have seemed to him, it wasn't, and a physically symbol to represent really helped a lot.

Still, manipulating Chakra inside of the body and outside of the body at the same time was taxing and a bit stressful, no matter what kinds of tricks you use to lighten the load. To maintain his composure, Ryuuchou began the practice of biting his lower lip whenever he felt that he was slipping. By doing this he was able to get himself focused on something other than the stress on his mind and his body, and control his Chakra much better. The idea came from pinching yourself to forget about a more immediate pain, even if only momentarily.

With everything moving smoothly, the medic decided that it was now or never. It would be better to make his attempt while everything was balanced, and not take the chance of things falling out of order. With a great push to fous and control the Chakra, Ryuuchou began, and the Chakra slowly began to move towards his forehead, both inside and out.

On the inside of his body, in the Chakra Network, Ryuuchou pulled the Chakra to his forehead gradually, allowing it to slowly traverse the complex series of passages. As it got there, the Chakra on the outside was beginning to form the Infuin Seal itself. The first part was actually placing the diamond shaped mark on the forehead, and the Chakra quickly did that. Then, the rest of the Chakra on the outside started flowing into it, forming the complex seal just behind it. A place where Chakra could be continuously placed and stored long term needed to be crafted, and the Chakra on the inside of the forehead worked to create such a space.

Over a period of several minutes, the seal formed itself slowly. It was painstaking and tedious, but such a seal required precise control and balance. It was a vacuum technique, and the medic didn't want it sucking up all of his Chakra all of the time, but it also needed to drain a decent amount, and have the ability to compress and store it. However, Ryuuchou believed that he had succeeded. He would know by whether or not the seal remained on his forehead. Slowly rising to his feet, he walked over to a small mirror by the door and looked at his forehead. The seal was there, but whether it had been crafted correctly and would stay was yet to be seen.

Senro Ue Fuku no Jutsu (Track Covering Technique)

Effect: A technique that most GenJutsu warriors learn in order to help out an escape, or help out a situation at hand that may prove dangerous when it comes to finding their location. What the user does with this technique is it allows the user to become more diverse and secure of where they step and run off to. This technique allows the user to allow their tracks to be covered for a lengthy amount of time, depending on how far they have moved out, and how long it has taken.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: This technique somewhat increases along with the user's strength, as well as the Specialty that the user may be.
Description: What happens is that within a path as the user steps down onto the very ground the user pushes a small amount of chakra that is used for all those that come by. What occurs is that with every step the user takes upon the floor they push down a piece of chakra onto the very ground. The amount of chakra is pushed off in all directions as well as is used to mess with the very system within those who approach in which creates an illusion that steps never have occurred along the ground. When the user first learns this technique they are capable of pushing this technique in a ten-yard radius around them, but the maximum distance from the moment they start the technique can reach far past a hundred yards. This technique lasts up to a couple of hours, and this is considered the base amount for a GenJutsu NonSpecialist. If the user is a GenJutsu specialist, the very technique is increased by five yards in radius, while the technique's length is increased by ten yards, and the amount of time is increased to a total of two hours and thirty minutes. If the user is a GenJutsu Master, then the technique increases the radius of five feet from Specialist making it into twenty meters, with a distance of One hundred and forty meters, and the Time is increased to three hours. For every Class the user gains as a Non Specialist the length distance increases by ten yards, as the time increases by ten minutes. For a Specialist the distance increases by ten meters as the time increases by fifteen minutes. For Master the distance increases by fifteen meters, as the time increases by thirty minutes.

"I need to get better at Genjutsu. If I ever get caught in a battle, I'll be useless to my team as a fighter, and at this point, it'd be easier and more beneficial to advance my abilities as a support member than it would be to get better as a fighter. Plus, support has it's perks, and it probably isn't that widely valued enough for others to aim to be such a ninja," Ryuuchou said to himself, plopping down in a field and sitting against a tall, firm tree. Looking out on a small pond, the medic sighed as he thought about his future. "Plus, it fits my personality perfectly. I'm not one to be confrontational, and I'd rather help than harm.

Then again, I'm not even on a team yet. Maybe I should focus on techniques to keep myself safe and able to escape first. If I ever have to go it alone, I'll need to be able to cover myself so I have time to plan attacks, and carry them out intelligently."

Ryuuchou Meimu had done so much training with the medical arts, specifically learning about and placing upon himself the Infuin Seal. He had begun to lack in Genjutsu, so he decided that he needed to get some more practice, and learn some more about the art that he planned to be a specialist in. For his needs, he knew the perfect technique, too. Removing a scroll from his bag, he unfurled it and searched for the jutsu, finding it somewhere towards the middle, but a bit closer to the beginning.

"Senro Ue Fuku no Jutsu," said the ninja. "Track Covering Technique. A really great technique, especially for someone of my specialties."

He began to slowly read the scroll, specifically about how the technique worked. Since Genjutsu affected the opponent's mind via their own Chakra that circulated in their head, Ryuuchou was curious as to how this technique worked, since it didn't seem to be cast on a person specifically. As he read, he came to understand it, and it seemed like a truly ingenious technique to him.

"Pushing Chakra into each place you put your foot, and then making that Chakra able to linger and affect people that come by the location, causing them to be unable to see any tracks that are left behind? That's really amazing," he said, smiling. "At my current level I should be able to make it extend a decent distance, and make it last a good amount of time. About... three hours and thirty yards?" he questioned himself. He knew he couldn't be that far off, if at all, and either way, that was a decent amount of time and distance to him, so he wasn't worried too much.

The ninja stood up and shook his body to release any tension, and to spry himself up a bit. Having memorized the hand seals when reading the technique's entry on the scroll, there was nothing left to do but practice the technique.

With a deep breath, he began to concentrate on his Chakra, and at the same time weave the hand seals required for the technique. The hand seals allowed him to mold the Chakra that he had brought forth from his body, and he then made to focus the Chakra into his feet, since it would need to be pushed out from there to cover any tracks that he left.

The medic then began to take a few slow steps forward, feeling for the Chakra to make sure that it was pushing out of the bottoms of his feet. The first step yielded nothing, but the second and third step did, with the fourth step releasing a little bit too much. By refocusing on it, and thinking of it like the Tree Climbing Technique, he felt that he was able to fix the minor problem, since when he began to run with the technique active, the Chakra output was proportionate to what was needed, and even each time after. However, he couldn't be sure the technique worked without allowing his own Chakra to affect him.

After making a decent length trail littered with tracks, Ryuuchou went back to the start and allowed his own Chakra to manipulate him and place him under the illusion. To him, it appeared that the grass was clear, as was the dirt. There were no tracks that he could see.

Drawback: Works best when there is a clone present. Any more than one clone and the target will be able to instantly identify the user as the original.
Description: The user discreetly makes a couple of handsigns and covers themselves with a thin film of chakra. Every few seconds, the user will appear to "flicker" to the target, making it look like the user is a low level clone or a weak Genjutsu. This is only meant to make a target think the user is a crappy clone, and in turn, ignore them. This technique does not require a constant flow of chakra but lasts for as long as the user can maintain concentration. (Uses one movement every turn. It can be cancelled, but if the user is injured in any way, the jutsu will fail).
Limit: Glamour Perception.

After the last technique was down perfectly, Ryuuchou continued to train in the arts of Genjutsu, but for the next technique, he wanted something he had less experience in. A different type of Genjutsu seemed to be a good idea to him. Placing the previous scroll beside him, he reached into his bag and pulled out another, much smaller scroll. It apparently held a single technique, and though it seemed easy to use, Ryuuchou thought that it might be very useful to him, because it was a very tricky technique. Tricky indeed.

As he read through the technique's description and directions, the urge to learn the technique only grew. It allowed the user to make themselves look like a low level clone, or a very minor or amateurish Genjutsu. The user would appear to flicker, and hopefully cause the opponent to pay attention to something else rather than them. It fit perfectly with Ryuuchou's idea for the last jutsu he learned; to make it possible for him to get out of sticky situations.

"Alright, might as well get started. The technique is a simple D Rank, so the Chakra control shouldn't be too difficult, and the hand seals are simple enough as well," said the hazel eyed ninja. With a quick, deep breath, he was ready to begin.

Stepping forward a bit and into the sunlight, Ryuuchou began to weave the several quick and painless hand seals that the technique called for to be cast, doing so as quickly and discreetly as he possibly could. With his Chakra being focused rather quickly, he allowed the Chakra to coat him like a thin piece of film, the same way that the scroll described the process. Though he didn't have any actual clones present, he should still be flickering. Clones weren't necessary, after all. Just a suggesstion as a way to sell the illusion.

The ninja stepped up to the water slowly and stared at his reflection, waiting to see the flicker that should be present in his appearance.
