Kaito Does Some Theatrical Drawing

So, I do theatre design, and my first piece is a practice piece from my last costume design class. I know the hands are messed up, and her right arm is short, but oh well. Also, I might color it later.

Anywho, without further ado, my first drawing on NFRP.

I present to you, Lady Practice who I drew in class one day.

lol, the first thing that comes to mind just by hearing the name is that scene in Family Guy where he explains to meg "ya see meg, you are what we call a practice girl" xD

The attire looks nice though. So is there like a final draft or stage of this costume or did ya discontinue making it?

I kind of threw all my final drafts into a fire out of frustration after I made a D in the class. I'm probably going to color that one in though. I just have decide a medium and the like. I'm also doing some sketching for an unrealized set design I'm taking to competition. That'll probably be the next thing up.

So, next up is a ground plan of a devised piece we did in the spring semester. We do it every year, but it's different as we attempt to address different aspects of sexuality. The show itself is called Episodes in Sexuality, and I designed the scenery as well as the lighting for this production.

anyways, by scenery is all the background stuff right? How did ya go about that, with them playing something about sexuality? >_>

Well, it starts with an idea. We were performing a play that was basically about disease in sexuality, and how people who have them are shunned from society. So I wanted to create a feeling of uneasiness.

It's easier to tell from a front view, and I'll have a model built by tonight hopefully. I did expressionism to make you feel like you're in a place that isn't right.
