Falnyr was safe from all this though, simply watching from inside the dingy bar that he sat in on his face was a smile in complete contradiction to the depressing feelings that filled his heart. He took another swig of the sake, wishing that he could simply drown those feelings away with the cup that he nursed in his hand. He couldn’t remember how long he had been in this place, it seemed hours ago and his head was beginning to swim with drunkenness that he desired. He had begun drinking a lot more since he had returned from the land of frost, regret and guilt filling him and pushing him to the bottle. He sighed and wished that he could just leave this life of murder behind, he looked at the door wondering what would happen if he simply left now and never went back to the leaf village. He shook his head knowing what would happen, he would be hunted down either killed or dragged back to that place to face the questioner. He took another drink continuing to watch the door as he went deeper and deeper into his brooding thoughts |
