Kuri Buki (Ice Harden) D Rank (0/10)
Tsuneo walked back through the forest toward the area where he had done his Gantai no Jutsu
training. It was a new day and he was going to be training some of his Bloodlimit techniques. Kuri Buki was up first and he knew that this would determine his ice strength. With out this even his basic ice techniques would not be as strong as regular ice, which he thought is pretty pathetic. When he reach the shore he sat down to study the scroll explaining the technique. It was all pretty straight forward.
“So I just have to strengthen my Ice I guess,” he said. He stood up and prepared to start. He did not need any hand seals for this training due to his Bloodlimit. He first used Suiton Soushi to create water out of the air. He figured it would be better to use his techniques versus the water near by for practice purposes. He needed to get used to using them all the time. Once he created 1 cubic meter of water he use Aisu Soushi to freeze it. As he froze the water he tried to condense it as much as possible. He produced a small chunk of ice and tried to catch it before it feel to the ground. Right when it hit his hand it shattered.
“Damnit, I can even make ice as strong as ice right now.” he said. “This truly is pathetic. I guess I will just have to train all day until I can make normal ice.” He quickly went through the steps of making ice, but this time he poured more chakra and focused even harder on compressing the ice into a more stable product. This time when he caught the cube it only cracked. A few pieced splintered off, but at least it had not shattered.
“Better, but it is still pretty weak.” he said. He went through the ice making process slightly faster this time and poured even more chakra into the compressing this time. He was panting as he finished making the cube, but when he caught it it still cracked in several spots. He determined that this method of making ice will only drain his chakra. He sat down and started pondering about different methods to compressing the ice into a stronger form. He made and discarded several ideas while sitting and soon he became frustrated.
“This is such a pain. Why is making ice so difficult!” he shouted. Some birds flew away as he was shouting which made him realize that he was acting like a fool. He decided to take a short walk to calm down and process several ideas. He made it an eighth of a mile before he suddenly stop.
“I think I just figured it out.” he said. “Instead of trying to press the ice together, maybe I should try to arrange the water molecules together as I freeze them.” He took a deep breath to relax himself. He first created his 1 cubic meter of water to work with. Once the water was created he arranged the molecules so that they were all as close to each other as possible and then using only a small amount of chakra he pressed them together as they froze. He caught the cube in mid air and was please to see that ice had not cracked at all. He examined the cube to see if it had any defects and then threw it at a tree. It of course broke, but it did not shatter. It was regular old ice. He had done it.
For the rest of the day he practiced making all sorts of shapes and increased the size of the objects he made. Everything he made turned out perfect as it was as strong as any other ice. He started to walk back to the village completely exhausted. He saw that the sun was almost down as he was heading back and determined that he must have been out here for at least 6 hours. As he made it about half way back something dawned on him. He didn't have to think about making ice anymore. He could just make it and it was as strong as he could possibly make it. Overall he was very please with himself.
