Koukou Kei - (Dazzling Lights)
Rank: "D" Rank
Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: Creates an effect to where the opponent and all those that see would notice the creation of Lights scattering all around to be used as a safety precaution against the animal kingdom or as a minor distraction against the opponents the user wishes upon.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: Has no great effect against the opponent, is not used as a destroy type of technique.
Description: A Brilliance of lights is created to mess with the opponent's sense of sight. Different shades of colors apply out as they are shown within the mind's eye of the opponent. Vibrant colors shine in all directions changing here and there, as they create a minor daze against those who see these types of lights as they grow brightly continuing to mess with the very sense of sight. The opponent must merely look at the user, the opponent does not have to glance or really look into the very eyes of the user in order to be gazed into such a technique. This type of technique is used against those of the animal kind as well but the effect is slightly more different then that of a humanoid opponent. When done against those of the animal kind the opponent will become slightly dazed as their eyes glimmer in sparkle watching the magnificence of such dazzling lights. The distance that the user is capable of using this technique in is at a distance of Ten meters. For every Class the user gains in the distance increases by five meters. If the user is a Specialist, the distance increases by ten meters. If the user is a Master then the distance increases by fifteen meters.

Back at the academy, Aedemi saw many little tricks. Her peers at the time, and some older kids, would play with things such as simple illusions to prank each other. These were things she merely observed -- she would have learned them then had she asked them to teach her. However, seeing as she wasn't exactly a social butterfly, she had to wait much time before she would get to actually perform. She borrowed some scrolls from the academy -- which included this one simple genjutsu trick involving imagined lights -- in order to ultimately perform a more advanced jutsu later on. Called Kenran Hatsu, this jutsu appealed to her as a kunoichi.
She took the scrolls with her to her apartment, making sure the boy wouldn't see her. She took a quick breath when she saw a boy with dark hair talking to a little girl, but then realized that it wasn't him after all. She kept walking, looking down at the pavement, and didn't look up until the familiar rows of buildings would come into her peripheral view. She was going to train, just not outside. It was too humid out there for her tastes anyway. She laid down the scroll on her bed and began to examine it. The jutsu seemed simple enough -- all she needed to do was once again mess with the opponent's eyes through the manipulation of chakra. Not too complicated.
As she had done before for the last genjutsu she mastered, she decided to develop the proper illusory effects by first imagining it in her mind. She needed some kind of blueprint. Seeing as this jutsu needed to cause the simple illusion of sparkling lights, she remembered the daze she had from taking family portraits as a child. Her family, when her mother was with them, had the custom of taking many portraits depending on the occasion, and among the things that stood out from Aedemi's early childhood was the memory of the flashing lights. Aedemi, facing the camera, would be unable to open her eyes for a while after each blinding flash, inducing black spots in her vision everywhere she looked. The spots would dance in her sight and she would feel slightly dizzy. Mesmerized. This was something she wanted to emulate in her genjutsu.
Aedemi copied the handseals as written on the scroll, and as usual, made sure to mold chakra correctly. This was a simple technique; she wanted to do it right and learn the first time around, so she resolved to take her time and think things through well so that the technique would stay in her mind. The objective of the technique was to distract, so she thought of the distracting effects of a camera flash, mixing it with a coalition of colors, a scramble of textures, sparkles, and anything she could think of. This didn't prove to be hard to imagine. She simply imagined the most tacky combination of colors and lights.
Next was the execution. She had to think of a way to execute the illusion onto an opponent, and seeing as there was none to be seen in her apartment, she had to be creative. She had to emulate the execution of the genjutsu in her mind. Due to her earlier training, this wasn't too hard to do. She had a pretty good idea of how to execute illusions onto an opponent -- all she needed to do was try to emulate that in her mind once to have a good idea of how it would go. She imagined the chakra leaving her body through her eyes and, like an infection, lock on to her opponent's eyes, where the genjutsu would fool him into seeing things. Good, good. This could really work.
