A long time ago Miroku was given the ritual of the chakra bugs but he had not ever really learned how to control them. Without controlling them they were pretty useless so it was time to focus on that. He sat down inside his apartment and took off his jacket so he could better see the many entrances used by the bugs. “Yo… can you come out?” He asked. His skin crawled as a few of the bugs walked out onto his arms.
He stared at them for a moment. “Okay that wasn’t too hard…” He murmured. “Go over there!” He said, pointing to a nearby wall. The insects continued to scurry along his arms as if he had said nothing. Their small legs tickled against his skin causing him to squirm. “Over there, the wall straight across from us… go!” He said, louder this time thinking maybe they couldn’t hear him.
One of the bugs rose up, its wings spreading as it flew over to the wall. Slowly a few of the others followed until they were crawling up and down the wall. Still an improvement, that was cool. It wasn’t all of them but they were actually listening. “Come back now.” He instructed them. The same but as before flew back to land on his shoulder.
The rest of the wall sitting bugs followed back to his arms and continued to crawl. “Tell the other bugs to come out.” He instructed. Three bugs tunneled back into his body and quickly lots of them streamed out until his arms were nearly covered. “Fly.” He told them simply. As they took off into the air he had to wonder if he really needed to say it outloud.
His face screwed up in concentration as he silently commanded the bugs to come back to his body. Long minutes passed without result but still he tried, determined to give them voiceless commands. Sweat ran across his forehead and he was about to give up when one bug landed and crawled back into his skin… slowly the others began to follow as they all disappeared beneath his skin.
