Kusa Travel and Interaction [Event]

The day was hot before the sun appeared, yet the heat rose still, like a swelter in progress. Lean and sturdy blades of grass wafted in the breeze, while trees of exotic nature swayed, awakening the colorful birds that rested within. Little clothing was worn here in Kusa no Kuni, as the days were always hot and the nights were always warm, as if locked in a perpetual summer. It was perfect for the growing of fruits and a natural center for commerce, as it was near the center of the continent as people knew it. Men and women moved about on the roads created by years of travel, harking their goods, and spreading news of their travels. This news reached the gate of Kusagakure no Sato, but they had larger problems than just a few men preaching, as Ouranos loomed just outside their borders. His floating fortress could be seen from the gates, suspended in a sparsely clouded blue sky, overlooking the land as if some kind of supreme lord. Light flickered on and off in that fortress, as his daughters were spread out to do his bidding, as the shadow of that fortress cast a feel of evil across the land…

Masaaki was traveling through, when the storm on the horizon caught his attention. His attention was drawn, mouth gaping, to the giant fortress and this.. evil he felt inside. Drawn towards it, curiosity warring against fear, he slowly began to move in its general direction, although he remained wary and on the look-out for any sort of hostile.. things.

His katana and tanto were sheathed at his waist, and his claws were worn on his hands. His currently empty butt-bag sat on his waist, and his small mountain cat followed close behind him.

From out of the trees a man fell to the floor, landing with one knee on the ground, as if he were kneeling. A wooden plank was strapped to his back, while a large knife or short sword was strapped to his waist. His bare chest was covered in tattoos from dragons to Koi, a necklace of colored stones hanging to his collar bone, and white pants with no shoes. His hair was long and braided in a dreadlock fashion, brown like fresh churned soil, and held back by a red bandana. As he rose, he held out his hands in a peaceful manner, a smile on his face, and his brown eyes fixed firmly on Masaaki. “You probably don’t want to head that way, bro,” his voice like that of a surfer or beach goer. He looked over his shoulder as if to check if anyone was sneaking up on him, then looked back at Masaaki nervously, “Capital City has gone crazy and that Fortress of Ouranos is back there. I barely escaped that madhouse, dude. Everyone had their Chakra removed by some chicks and a crazy guy in a sky blue robe. My name is Ren, by the way.”

He held out his hand for Masaaki to shake, the nervousness disappearing a little bit, but clearly still there. However, he had given a starting point. The Capital city. Apparently it was a madhouse.

Masaaki rose onto his tiptoes, peering around the man towards whatever was happening over there. Turning his attention back to the strange new person, he gingerly reached out to shake his hand, questions bubbling out of him.

"Masaaki. Who's Ouranous? And what's this Capital City? What's going on over there?"

The warning was disregarded, if anything, it seemed to fuel his curiosity.

”Well. Ouranos is some kinda god of the sky, or something like that. At least that’s what the Children of the Sky say. The Capital City is in an uproar, about to break out in arms against one another, just because some bum in a robe says to. It’s best not to go in there though. You could very well lose your chakra. Of course, if you have to go, I don’t mind going with you. Once you see the Capital, you’ll understand.”

Ren would point to his chest, as if indicating that there was chakra, and offered a wink of his eye. Shifting the weight of the rowing oar, Ren would gesture with his left hand for Masaaki to follow him, walking down the path upon which he landed. Of course, if his new friend didn’t follow, then he’d stay behind and wait, since he had nothing better to do.

Masaaki listened intently, a growing look of curiosity on his face.

"Huh. Losing your chakra? God of the Sky? This I've gotta see..", he mutters to himself, only audible if Ren strained to hear. Raising his voice, he quickly followed, catching up to walk side-by-side him. "What do you mean?"

”Don’t worry about what I mean, you’ll see at the Capital. Once we get to Aokusa, you’ll understand, or you will shortly after.” Ren placed his hands behind his head, whistling a tune that did not belong to any music in Kusa no Kuni, or any other part of the continent, if one had an ear for music. As they passed through the jungle lands of Kusa no Kuni, they would soon enter the clearing where the Capital City stood, having had no complications on their way to it. Aokusa, a trading hub, but it lay in shambles. Fires burned throughout the city, the cries of war and pain filled the air, and the coppery smell of blood was thick about the place. Bodies littered the streets, mutilated in various ways, but it was clear that they were citizens of Kusa no Kuni only. “Whoa! Looks like everything erupted already. That’s not good. Come on, bro.” Ren would dash toward the city, leaving Masaaki in the dust and disappearing into the thick black haze.

Masaaki shrugs, and follows the strange man closely. To his extreme aggravation he began whistling, and while Masaaki wasn't about to tell a stranger leading him somewhere to shut up, his face certainly conveyed the message well. Unfortunately, the music raised no questions aside from 'When will he SHUT UP?', and the continued their uneventful trip.

Arriving at the capital, Masaaki would stare at the bodies and destruction with a measure of shock. He'd gotten in fights before, and had even killed, but this.. this was beyond anything he'd ever seen. A man's head lay several feet away from his body, and the carnage was something that he knew even his bloodline, infamous for their love of death, wouldn't cause.

Looking up, he caught the tail end of his guide sprinting away, and with a loud shout of "Wait!", he gave chase. His confidence in his abilities wavered, as whatever caused this was strong enough to annihilate an entire village, and he was barely able to fight two opponents at once.

Once Masaaki enters the village, there is no sight of Ren, having disappeared into the fray. Men and women fought each other with old weapons, some rusted, some damaged, but they were effective enough to draw blood. All of the people were normal, not shinobi, nor from any blood lineage that one could see. The smell of blood and charred flesh would fill the nostrils, and it was clear which side was winning this fight. A woman in a sky blue robe, complete with white puffy cloud motif, stood upon a building and shouted praise to Ouranos and Gaea. She cursed those who fought against her, the wild eyed Zealots taking up the cry, and breaking through the line of the opposition. They had taken the city.

A man notices Masaaki, wiping the blood of his enemies off his face, and his lips. Nudging one of his friends, a ripple effect is spread through the ranks, and soon enough the entire troop is looking in Masaaki’s direction. The woman on the roof takes notice, her blazing wild green eyes glaring down at the boy, her blond hair billowing about her head, as smoke and flame licked the city behind her. Moments of tense silence, as the forces decide what to do with Masaaki, before the woman speaks and cuts it all away. “You there,” her voice seems to carry over the entire city as if imbued, “Who is your Lord?” Even the most brain dead could figure out her meaning with those words. Still Ren was missing.

Masaaki turns, grinding his sandals into the dirt and skidding to a stop in a cloud of dust. It was obvious who was the invaders, and much to his dismay, they appeared to have won. Standing alone against the group of armed fighters, all whom now appeared to be looking at him, Masaaki felt another wave of insecurity course through him. The smell of burnt flesh stung his nostrils, and the cloying scent of death was thick in the air.

Clearing his throat, he recalled something mentioned by Ren. At the demand to know his Lord's name, and severely outnumbered at the moment, he called the name of what he hoped was the victor here.

"Uh.. Ouranos." he called back, swallowing imperceptibly. Hoping Ren would show up soon, he instinctively moved a hand towards his katana, in case it turned out for the worse, as mishap made likely. His face betrayed his inner nervousness, and he began a defensive jutsu, bone plates forming underneath his skin. Left foot slid back, as he entered the ready stance of Battojutsu.

Raising his voice again, he called out. Heavily outnumbered, he'd prefer not to fight, but if it was required he would. "I-I mean. Could I join him? I don't have a Lord currently." His lack of headband, and formal training, hopefully didn't scream 'NINJA' to them, but he was prepared for the worst.

"Yoroi Kosshi" (Armor of bones)

Effect: Creates thin layer of bones under skin. (a few cm thick)

Drawback: Consumes 15 additional slots. Movement is somewhat hinder due to the massive amounts of bones created throughout the body (chunin ranked Kaguyas can overcome this later on). Bone strength directly affects the strength of the armor. In addition, the armor does not protect the skin, and even makes it somewhat easier to tear and rip. The abdominal region is still exposed to harm for a short period
Description: Combing both the bones in the body and the free floating calcium and bone through out the body, the kaguya is able to create a thin film of bones to be used as armor. This film of bone covers the entire muscular system and internal organs of the user from attack. The bones that create the armor are also porous, so that blood may still flow toward the skin.
Side note: Though it is easy to cover the area around the body in bone, it actually takes a longer period to create the bone in the abdominal region. It takes roughly the length of two posts to create a "cage system" to protect the organs in the stomach region. Then from the cage system, a film of bone can be created.

A woman in a blue robe covered in clouds stepped forward, her black hair falling passed her shoulders, and her black eyes glittering with that hint of psychotic mental state that all Zealots have. She seemed plain to the eye, but she moved with a grace that was beautiful, and the people spread aside for her. “So you wish to join,” she questioned, an eyebrow raising on her left eye, “Perhaps. But you will have to speak with his Daughter first. Come along quietly and she will test you.” The woman backed away and the crowd swallowed her, causing her to vanish from sight completely. They began to surge around Masaaki then, carrying him forward with their walk, surrounding him so that he could not escape without ripping through all of them.

Scenes of death and destruction could be seen every now and then through gaps in his ‘honor guard’. Bodies littering the area, mean and women in blue uniforms with cloud print as well, tossing bodies on a cart that was headed to a huge pyre. Blood splattered the walls, while gore marinated in pools of blood, and ash coated nearly everything. Men, women, children, it didn’t appear as if any of it mattered. Ren was still nowhere to be found, having run ahead of Masaaki, he had disappeared into the town. However, the finally stopped before a large warehouse type building, pushing Masaaki inside, and shutting the sliding door behind him [Attempt].

Should he cooperate, he would find himself standing at the edge of a warehouse, dust falling from the split rafters, and swirling in rays of warm sunlight that filtered in. Boxes of food stores and flammable goods littered the area in need stacks, off to the sides to create a single path down the center. The center was shaped like a large square, four paths dumping into it, which meant that there were paths to the right and left that must lead to other areas of the warehouse. There was his acquaintance Ren, in the center of the square, blood covering his face and body as he slumped on his knees with his hands dangling at his sides. He was defeated, but alive, as he turned to peer at Masaaki. A woman stood behind him, her hand on his head, and a black aura around her as she chanted in some unknown language to this land. Suddenly that aura turned white, much like her hair, and the blue form of Ren appeared screaming as it was broken, pulled from his body.

Ren fell forward, still breathing shallowly, while the woman turned to see what he had looked at and found Masaaki standing there. Her icy sky blue eyes gazed at him, while her shoulder length white hair bobbed and it was easy to see that she was beautiful. Her thin robe was thick in the right places, keeping her naked body from view. Suddenly the woman from earlier, the Zealot was in the room as well, two men flanking her. They carted Ren out of the way unceremoniously, leaving only the three of them, and it was the Zealot who spoke. “Come forward, boy, and tell the Daughter of Ouranos your name. She will be your judge, jury, and executioner. I suggest you don’t lie.” She waves Masaaki over with a hand, beckoning him to come closer.

Masaaki eyes the zealot who stepped forward, his entire body tensed and ready. The bone plates had settled, forming a protective layer under his skin that boosted his confidence and he listened raptly to the obviously insane woman, suppressing his curiosity for the moment. As soon as she finished talking, the crowd surged, although not in a hostile way. Surrounding him and pushing him forward, he simply went with the flow, although he had little choice. Stumbling along with the group, his head turned, eyeing the scenes of death and destruction with a slightly shocked and awed face.

Stopping at the warehouse, Masaaki was roughly shoved inside, stumbling and windmilling his arms to catch his balance. Righting himself, he looked around the warehouse, wide eyes taking in every detail. Turning his attention forward while walking hesitantly, his gaze settled on Ren. A look of recognition flashed on his face, and he opened his mouth as though to talk. As he drew in the breath to speak, a blue aura was ripped from him, silencing whatever he was about to say. Watching silently as he was dragged off, he paused near the center, the thought just now occurring to him that perhaps he made a mistake.

He watched the white-haired woman cautiously, before his gaze moved to the Zealot from earlier. Stepping forward as commanded, he made sure to keep a fair length away from the Daughter, saying quietly in a voice that somehow managed to carry.

"I am Masaaki Kaguya."

Not aware of how unlikely this was, Masaaki's over-inflated opinion of his clan led him to believe they would recognize it, and maybe find him useful enough not to kill...Yet.

He relaxed, dropping his hand from the sword. It was useless, trying to fight with it. Outnumbered in unfamiliar territory, he was left with attempting to simply go along.

The frosted gaze of the Daughter of Ouranos passed over Masaaki, seemingly judging him in an instant, peering into his soul. However, she made no move toward the boy, merely standing there, like a frozen sentinel. The Zealot smiled, however, as this was a good sign. She and the Daughter of Ouranos looked at each other, then they both looked back at Masaaki, and it was clear that he had passed their little trial. “Excellent,” the Zealot proclaimed, “then I have a task for you already.” She clapped her hands together, a vile look appearing on her face, full of evil and a bit of crazy. She placed her hands behind her back, the psychotic smile never leaving her face, and paced a little bit back and forth. When she came to a halt, she opened her mouth again. “I want you to kill everyone in this village. All of them. There’s roughly thirty of them.”

The Daughter of Ouranos merely nodded at this, never saying a word, but instead remaining silent. There was sound outside of the warehouse and then the door opened, a man stepping in, clearly a normal citizen. He wore a cloth shirt and pants, makeshift shoes, and carried a badly cared for sabre. As the Zealot looked from Masaaki to the man, it was clear what the task was to be, and this man would be the beginning…

Masaaki watched tensely as they eyed him over, shoulders raised slightly. Whatever he'd done, it seemed to be the correct course of action. A quiet breath escaped him in relief as his shoulders slumped.
Listening carefully as she stated she had a task for him, a look of curiosity flitted across his face. The woman was obviously demented, furthering Masaaki's unwillingness to fight her. The insane were usually powerful, and hard to kill.

“I want you to kill everyone in this village. All of them. There’s roughly thirty of them.”

Masaaki started at those words, his mind whirling with a chaos of thoughts. Was his life worth thirty strangers? And could he bring himself to kill them all in cold blood? With a slight shake of his head, Masaaki dispelled his momentary weakness. They were weak, it's why they were being killed. He was strong, therefore he was worth more. This took simply a long second, before spoke up, saying in a voice that held no hesitation. Shrugging, the matter hardly seemed to bother him. "Alright. Where are they?"

Right on cue, the man with the rusty was shoved in. Half-turning to eye him, he raised his right hand. The nerves and muscles twisted, forming tension. A series of 'pops' resounded, and five shards of bone were sent at the opponent. One, for the neck. Two for the chest, around his heart. And the final two at arms, to weaken his ability to fight should none of the others land. Instantly, the bones reformed, able to fire again. If no spray of blood appeared, he'd turn to fully face the man, raising both hands to release a barrage of bone shards at him, firing wildly at his body. Most strikes would be aimed for fatal or crippling areas, while some went wide, and would spray the area near him. [Attempt]

Effect: A technique that enables the user the capability of contracting the muscles and nerves within their body to where it begins to build pressure within shooting them off with such speed to pierce the human body and some minor defenses.

Drawback: Whenever used the user undergoes the capability of disease under effect increasing the calcium within their body which makes them closer to dieing unless gaining medical treatment.
Description: A technique that launches finger bones in a projectile like form. The Muscles and the nerves contract against one another greatly to where they somewhat spiral in within the body. When the user constricts their fingers in such a way, they begin to push the bullet outwards as the bullet begins to gain pressure from the way it is constricted until the bone is projected out of the human body spiraling at high speeds being sent off towards its target.
Limit: Kaguya Bloodlimit. This is the basic of basics and must be known in order to use other Jutsus of the Bloodlimit. Must know Bone Pulling

The man died a pitiful death, the bone bullets biting into his flesh, digging deep and ripping through him to embed in a crate behind him. Lungs and heart were punctured, his neck as well, however the arm bullets missed as he flailed. Dropping to his knees, clutching his throat as no air would come, blood leaking from his body as he collapsed. The Zealot laughed, pleased with the performance, but the Daughter of Ouranos merely watched. “Excellent. Now, go out and kill the rest. You’ll have to search the city for them. You have until sundown and it is already three hours passed noon.” The Daughter of Ouranos walked away, exiting the warehouse as the Zealot continued to watch Masaaki. It was obvious that the Daughter of Ouranos could return in the blink of an eye, as the town wasn’t that large, and the Zealot was unafraid of Masaaki. “Well don’t just stand there. Get out there and finish it.”

Masaaki offered a grin, pleased at the ease with which this man died. Hopefully, the others would be the same. Offering a slight bow to the Daughter as she left, he switched his gaze to the Zealot. "Of course." Turning around, a soft, near inaudible sigh escaped him. Searching an unfamiliar city for hostile people wasn't exactly what he'd hoped, but he had little other choice.

Leaving the warehouse, he'd scan the surrounding buildings for some sign of life. If he could recruit some fellow zealots as help, maybe this could go faster. And she hadn't said he couldn't do that.. If there was no movement among the buildings that made up the surrounding area, he'd begin a house-to-house search.


If he caught sight of another zealot, he'd call out to them while jogging over. "Hey! Wanna help a fellow.. comrade?" The hope being, obviously, to recruit a small band to help him.

If there were no zealots, or not ones that responded, he'd look for villagers. Skipping the buildings closest to the tower, assuming those had been checked and cleared, he would start with the ones that had the least amount of destruction. Barging in, he'd search for inhabitants.

If all the buildings were burned, then he'd simply wander aimlessly through the city, looking for villagers.

Masaaki found that there would be none to help him, the whispers going through the town of what was to transpire, which could probably be the fault of the Zealot. Why would she make any task easy for the boy? Outside of the warehouse, the houses were damaged, rubble in the streets from the burned and broken buildings, and the hushed tones of people hiding or sneaking about. Masaaki would be forced to search the city, with only the few clues afforded to him of their location. Nobody would leave the city, for it was their home, and some Kaguya wasn’t about to run them out. Perhaps the people merely waited in ambush for him or they were genuinely afraid. There are a total of ten buildings surrounding the warehouse, and a total of thirty buildings in the entire city, so the search would not be difficult.

An annoyed groan came from him at the lack of help from the other zealots. Walking towards one of the houses, a spurt of blood coated the dirt and his white shirt, staining it. A bone hilt pushed out of his upper shoulder, the small hilt gleaming in the sun with residual fluids. Reaching over with his left hand, he grasped it and tugged sharply, pulling out a bone sword the same length as his katana, although straight.

With the increased speed and reflexes granted by the dance he was now ready to perform, and the bone armor a comforting weight around his body, he was confident he could handle a few untrained villagers. Starting with the ten surrounding the warehouse, he'd randomly pick a house and walk up to it. Turning on his left foot and raising his right, he'd plant a solid, and perhaps unneeded, kick into the frame near the handle. Shortly after his foot connected, he'd dodge to the right, anticipating a trap of some kind. Its what he'd do in their place.

Should the house remain silent, he'd begin exploring, searching for.. someone. Cautiously, unsure if there was someone lying in wait, he'd scout out the rooms as best he could before entering: peering in as best he could, and listening for odd movements. While in the house, he'd also make sure to keep an eye open for any loot to be gained, figuring they wouldn't need it for much longer.

A scraping could be heard inside the building when Masaaki listened, while dark shapes could be seen moving around in windows, which could possibly mean someone was inside. Something was knocked down, a wooden bowl of some type, and it became obvious. This house definitely had someone in it. There were no other sounds, which would me to get these people, Masaaki would probably have to enter the building. The walls were pretty solid, even if they were merely made of wood, and could take the impact of his bone bullets should they have to. The windows provided bad angles.

A noise. Masaaki gave a small, almost predatory grin as his silence was rewarded with some shuffling followed be a clatter of something falling. He'd quite nearly stepped through the door when he stopped. If he simply rushed in, then even an untrained villager could catch him by surprise. Stabbing his bone sword into the wall with a solid thud, his hands flickered in handseals. Extending his left hand, a spark flared to life in front of his palm. Grabbing the sword again with his right hand, he poured his chakra out into his left.

With the sound of a continuous spark flashing combined with a hiss-like noise, a snake's head seemed to grow from the spark, extending into a long snake comprised entirely of Raiton. The snake lowered swiftly to the ground, and slithered inside the doorway. As it moved, more lightning snake seemed to spawn from that spark, and the snake moved into the house until it was stopped short. As it moved into the house, it would wave its head around, searching for the source of the noise. Anything it saw was instantaneously communicated back via mental link to Masaaki, and should it happen upon a villager, it'd lunge forward, fangs seeking flesh.

Should it reach ten meters into the house without incident, Masaaki would slowly enter, the snake scouting out in front of him. Bone sword held ready, his emotionless, pale eyes would continually scan the house. His entire body was tensed, and he gave off an almost predatory aura. A thin smile stretched across his face, and his face held a bloodthirst unique to the Kaguya clan.

Raiton – Karasuhebi no Jutsu (Thunder Style – Shocking Snake Technique)Rank: C, B
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the user to spawn a raiton based snake from either of the palms of their hands. It can stretch out for up to ten meters from its origin, and slither around rather rapidly, at the speed equal to that of a taispecialist of the user’s rank. From here, the snake can either snap at its target, or wrap around an unsuspecting victim, delivering hundreds of shocks at once. Additional ‘C’ ranked training can increase the distance the snake can travel by ten meters each time, for a maximum of up to fifty meters. Additional 'B' ranked training allows the user to apply the constricting attack. Snake does not loose speed of movement when farther out from the user.
Special: ‘Handseals’
Drawback: Cannot do other handseals unless one knows one handed seals. Some attacks do not discriminate against friend or foe. Snake can be destroyed. If used more than five times (learning the B ranked version raises this to ten) by a single hand, said appendage will grow numb and unusable for the next two turns. If 'coil-and-shock' attack is used, the entire snake is destroyed and must the entire technique must be recast.
Description: Through their talents in the Raiton release, the user is allowed to use their chakra to manifest a snake that will do their bidding. This snake is made comprised of pure lightning, and has advanced intellect of its own. It can communicate with the user mentally and follow orders well. This snake is useful for quick gashing and shocking attacks, and if one can manage to coil around the user, the equivalent of a strong 'B' ranked worth shock coarses through their body whole, constricting and shocking. Since the snake is made of raiton essence, it can be cut by blades ‘B’ rank or higher. However, it takes only a ‘C’ ranked extra charge to regrow the lost appendage; the severed part quickly blows up to blind all in the area except the user himself.

Drawback: Consumes 15 additional slots. Movement is somewhat hinder due to the massive amounts of bones created throughout the body (chunin ranked Kaguyas can overcome this later on). Bone strength directly affects the strength of the armor. In addition, the armor does not protect the skin, and even makes it somewhat easier to tear and rip. The abdominal region is still exposed to harm for a short period
Description: Combing both the bones in the body and the free floating calcium and bone through out the body, the kaguya is able to create a thin film of bones to be used as armor. This film of bone covers the entire muscular system and internal organs of the user from attack. The bones that create the armor are also porous, so that blood may still flow toward the skin.
Side note: Though it is easy to cover the area around the body in bone, it actually takes a longer period to create the bone in the abdominal region. It takes roughly the length of two posts to create a "cage system" to protect the organs in the stomach region. Then from the cage system, a film of bone can be created.

Effect: A technique known where the user takes their own bone along their arm, and uses it in a dance formation attacking all those around, while still moving giving them the agility speed to evade certain capabilities.

Drawback: The first initial movement of taking out the bone costs as much as a normal "C" Rank due to its extreme size.
Description: A bone extends from the shoulder, what can be seen in the beginning resembling what appears to be a hilt, the rest of the bone still within the flesh. As the Kaguya pulls the bone from his body, it is instantly replaced with another bone in its stead, so as not to cause the Kaguya any form of discomfort. The bone itself is more katana-like, however the bone itself is less refined than that of Yanagi no mai, but that does not make it any less deadly. Lacking in the fluid grace to the extremes like that of Yanagi no Mai, the Kaguya is usually continuously on the move, making him quite the difficult target for enemies. Even though it no longer has the grace, it makes up for this loss with its impressive speed, normally striking before the opponent even has time to react. This is the Second Dance of the Kaguya.

[/i]This technique allows the kaguya to strike twice within the same movement. Though you are losing 2 strikes between this and its predecessor, you are gaining exceptional speed. While performing this dance you move at a speed as if you were 1 rank higher then you actually are are (S ranks gain 2 movements). So for each of those movements you will be capable of striking 2 times.[/i]
