Esbel had been away from the dojo for so long it seemed and she always got lost on the way back, the Land of Waves was always confusing to her. Though this particular day when she left the boat she had noticed a small group or men hanging at the dock. They looked rather shady and Esbel had no time for their potential trouble.
As the day progressed Esbel found herself lost.....again....But she did however notice, that no matter how many turns she took she ran into one of the men she had seen at the Pier. As she turned into a dead end and was forced to turn back, but was greeted by the small group of five men from earlier. They eyed her with a sickening lust that made her lips curl back in disgust.
With no words exchanged they stalked forward slowly, their eyes gleamed brightly in the darkness and their presence made the air heavy. Esbel took up her stance and placed her hand on her katana, ready to rid the world of such scum. the pack closed in on her and she drew the blade as she flashed forward at an alarming speed. As her blade reached the first mans neck she was thrown back and her blade deflected. What happened next can not be described accurately enough.
An enormous shadow loomed over all the occupant of the alley, though its form belonged to that of one man who was no taller than Esbel. He drew a simple katana blade from its sheath and stepped forward. Esbel blinked, the most simplest of actions, but from the screams or pure horror and sounds of liquids splashing against the solid structures that encased them, she could have sworn that one simple blink took an eternity.
As she opened her eyes she let out a whimper that sounded unlike any noise she had made before. The alley was covered in the the eviscerated carcasses of her stalkers. Limbs, eyes, heads and organs slid from every angle as they began their slow creep down the walls and back to the ground. Esbel got to her feet wobbly and began to exit the alley in search or anyone who could help her.
She cried silently as she ran into dead end after dead end in her attempts to escape. Her sobs became more and more audible as she ran through the mismatched streets. A shadow appeared on a wall nearby and she dove behind a dumpster, covering her mouth with both hands as she shook with overwhelming fear. The shadow passed and for awhile she was too paralyzed to move but for the sake of safety she began a slow trudge to retrace her footsteps back to the opening to be free of this nightmare.
She shadow followed her immediately and Esbel screamed as she ran, knocking over trash cans and bags of garbage as she did so. She turned and hit a wall. Dead End. With her heart pounding she frantically searched for a way to climb or possibly escape. she began a futile scramble over the high wall but slid down time and time again. Esbel's breaths came in short puffs and she neared hyperventilation. She heart hammered in her chest as she felt the presence of the unknown man before loom over her.
Without looking she could feel his eyes on her, and as she patted herself looking for her dagger a powerful hand slipped around her mouth and lifted her off the ground effortlessly. She kicked and struggled as she attempted to scream, the hand blocking her mouth and nose and she tried to intake oxygen. A warm breath passed by her ear as she became still with fear from the words. "Hush my pupil, it will be over quickly" the voice of her master from the dojo clicked in her mind immediately.
Before she could protest she felt a jarring motion in her body before the world went black. She felt no pain as she drifted off on a weightless plane of conscious and consciousnesses. She remember the hearing her master mumble something about never abandoning the Dojo without permission before everything went silent.
