Enzeru was busy been given a few scrolls to learn form concerning his along the canal that ran through the middle of town and pushed a supply of water throughout the city. His hands where behind the back of his head as he walked and his mind was on thinking about things like getting stronger by training. He had done a lot of studying recently in the library and had also been reading a few scrolls on elemental releases and their jutsus in his bedroom, given to him by his parents. He was also thinking about what his brother might have been getting into as of late. it felt that for a while lately Enzeru had been straight training. "Where is that knuckle head at? Lately he has been missing...I hope he's been training as much as I'd like to think I'm surpassing him..."

Description: Rairyuu no Tatsumaki is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Lightning Element. The ninja does a long string of hand seals which then causes a bolt of lightning to drop from the sky. The current will be contained within and around the user's form. They will then begin to spin in place forming a whirling vortex of wind and electricity. The vortex will take on the form of a dragon and strike out against his opponent. Even if the attack doesn't directly connect with his foe, the lightning can jump from the vortex to hit a nearby target.
Limit: Must have the Lightning Release.

Kenichi crouched, hidden, behind a nearby building. His brother was walking by, looking quite distracted with.. something. Slipping deeper into the ally, he began the, for him arduous, task of performing handseals. A scroll lay on the ground in front of him, detailing the exact handseals he was supposed to perform for this particular technique, one that had caught his attention with its supposed dragon form. He grimaced, handseals were always his brother's forte, and he wished he'd inherited that particular skill. Slower then even some trainees, he manipulated his fingers in the complex patterns that channeled the deadly energy contained with all shinobi. The first attempt at the intricate string failed miserably, and he gave a quiet, sharp inhalation of breath as his finger loudly popped. Giving it another attempt, he took his time, making sure he formed each seal with precision rather then speed. The signs of the zodiac made little sense to him in their form, but he dutifully performed them, idly wondering who'd first found out about this method of channeling energy and how that had gone down.

His distractedness caused yet another mistake, his hands entirely missing the other. Grimacing, and wishing he'd practiced his handseals more, he started for a third time. His brother was slowly escaping his line of sight, something he couldn't allow. In a slightly hurried manner, although still taking his time, he began the signs again. His hands weaved together in a mass of tangled flesh, although he felt his chakra responding. As he neared the end of his technique, he slowed even further, not wanting to mess up this close to the end. With a great amount of satisfaction, he finally finished the stupid handseals. His chakra rushed out of him in a final burst, carefully molded and shaped by the handsigns he'd spent what seemed like forever performing.

A crackle filled the air, the sound of a thousand static charges going off at once. Should Enerzu have good peripheal vision, he'd see a small lightning flash in a nearby corner. Followed shortly by a shout of pain, Kenichi felt the lightning rebound inside of him instead of being channeled outwards towards his brother.

After he'd finished the handseals, the lightning had indeed been formed from his outpouring of chakra. Striking down from somewhere above him, he saw a brilliant flash of light illuminate the surrounding area before a searing pain seared through his flesh. As his back involuntarily arched, Kenichi thought of what the technique described. Instead of this the lightning bolt was supposed to land around him in a vortex of lightning.. What had he forgotten? Through the pain and spots flashing through his eyes, he caught sight of the parchment. In the illustration, the man performing the jutsu appeared to be spinning. Of course. That must help redirect the lightning somehow. The charge had ended, and he slumped slightly, clothes smoldering and hair settling back into its normal position. Surprise attack number one? Failure.

Suiton: Ryuuki Bakufuu no Jutsu (Water Release: Rising Blast Technique)

Effect: Creates a ten-meter long, two dimensional diamond of water along the ground that, upon the user's command, rapidly collides inwards
Special: "Hand Seals", hold Ram.
Drawback: Must have a water source. The opponent is capable of escaping by either going high enough to dodge the attack or moving out of the diamond.
Description: Ryuuki Bakufuu, or the Rising Blast Technique, is a powerful technique meant to crush opponents in order to deliver great amounts of damage. By utilizing this technique, the shinobi creates a diamond among the ground, ten meters in distance from all opposing points, with the goal to capture the opponent within the diamond. If this is accomplished, the user's chakra causes the water around the user to surge through the diamond, creating a small wave of water from all directions within the diamond, which grow exponentially larger as the wave comes closer to the center. The wave begins at height with the ground, but at the point of collision, the resulting waves are ten meters tall. Anyone caught within the current will be pulled along with it to the center, where they will suffer from a fierce collision impact of all the water striking each other with great force. It takes about one second for the diamond to form, and takes five seconds for the water to finish its' collision in the center. The amount of time it takes for the collision to occur decreases by one second for every Difficulty Class above "D" Rank that the user achieves.

Right in the middle of Enzeru wondering where his brother was he heard something nearby. Turning his head in surprise Enzeru watched as someone performed Something in an alleyway. It looked like training of a sort, and with a slight flash of raiton Enzeru saw that it was his brother! Suddenly Enzeru was consumed with a thought of envy and he didn't want to be caught idling in the village. He recalled a jutsu he had remembered form training and looked at the water canal that ran through town. Enzeru leaped onto the surface of the water and began to make some hand seals. His hands flipped through the proper sealing and Enzeru tried to release his chakra through the technique. He failed however, his anxiety to show off messing with his concentration. This technique was advanced and had the potential to kill an unwary opponent, so Enzeru needed to calm down and worry about his own technique and not the eye's that might be watching.

Out in the middle of the canal Enzeru was to be seen by not just alley way voyeurs but also pedestrians. Some ninja seemed to glance at the young noble trying to get this jutsu under way. Enzeru performed the hand seals again, switching through the lengthy line of seals a bit slower then someone who was familiar with this technique. He messed up and recognized this and seperated his hands and tried again. Enzeru tried again quickly rushing through the first seals and then having to slow down as he fumbled again to get the last few done right. His teeth grit slightly as he tossed a casual glare to the alleyway where his brother was practicing Raiton. So you think you will be able to become strong without your little brother following? Hmph...dream on elder brother...I will at least stay on par with you, if I do not at least surpass you! So watch me now...

Enzeru performed the hand seals again and upon getting them right he hesitated in surprise, activating his charge a little bit too late. Enzeru ran his hands through the seals again after his chakra fizzled out without reacting to the seal control. His brow furrowed as his hands raced again to get this right, and this time he got the seals right and activated his chakra. The reaction to the water was miniscule however; his mind not in the proper train of thought for the technique to work. He saw the water around him ripple slightly and then a small combustion in the shape of a circle blasted around his feet and that was it. The genin frowned and then tried again running his hands through the seals while biting his lip. He tried to time the arrival of the last seal and activate his chakra on it, but he failed again as the last seal seemed to run shorter then he was mentally prepared for.

"Come on dammit..." Enzeru said under his breath while taking a breath and then running his hands a bit slower through the seals. He hit each one while nodding his head to mentally memorize them and at the last seal he would repeat them fast this time, releasing chakra at the end of the final seal. Enzeru looked at the water around his feet and watched as the water reacted again, a triangular shape of water rising form the canal to his ankle heighth but then it just dispersed again as if he had lost concentration er something. He began wondering if his chakra was not fully reacting to the command of the hand seals. He would have to release the chakra as if he meant it, more chakra would need to be forced at the point of release for the jutsu to take full effect.

His brother caught him, although for whatever reason, his attack failed. The two ignored the few civilians nearby, who swiftly vacated at the two ninja sparring. The brother's aggressive training was becoming something the village was accustomed too, and as they hadn't actually caused major damage yet, they were left mostly alone.

As he watched his brother perform his handseals the final time, Kenichi roused himself from his lightning-induced daze. A flicker of chakra, and his dojutsu activated. Reading the seals from the scroll behind him while facing his brother, he carefully ran through them again. Each one he performed caused his chakra to react slightly differently, the handsigns carefully shaping the chakra to allow him to effectively cast the jutsu. As the incredibly long string of intricate hand gestures came to an end, his chakra gave a final flare. In a hurried, and more then a little worried, manner, he pivoted on his left heel, beginning the spinning he observed in the jutsu scroll. He managed less then a quarter turn before the bolt arrived, punching a considerable burn mark into the ground where his head had been less then seconds before. Stopping, he observed the burned pavement with wide eyes. That would have been quite.. unpleasant, to be hit with. Twisting around to watch his brother, he started again, determined not to die while simply attempting an overblown prank.

The damned seals were slowing him down, but he'd get to that later. Reading them as he performed them, several loud pops resounded as his knuckles cracked in a slightly off seal. Plowing ahead anyway, his chakra again poured out of him at completion of the long string of seals. In the split second before the chakra that exited him manifested as a lightning bolt likely to split him in twain, he pivoted. Twisting quickly, he began the turning motion he observed from the scroll. His hands were out in a straight yet loose form, and when the bolt arrived, he wasn't destroyed by it. As the bolt shot down from the sky, although it was more like a long static charge, far from both fatal and looking rather unintimidating, he caught it on the end of his right hand. Flowing through his body, carrying a rather painful burning sensation, he left his left hand in a liquid-like form of lightning. Dripping from his hand, it began to curl near his foot before it hit the ground, where it discharged. Another small black mark was all that remained of the best attempt yet, and Kenichi had to resist a childish stomp of the foot.

Enzeru paused to take a close survey of his brother in the alley still. He seemed to be summoning lightening to his body...Of course he could ONLY be doing something strange that would probably do more harm to himself then to his enemies. Enzeru let his hands flow through the hand seals again focusing back on his own work, and as he did this he moved a little too fast as if trying to race his brother. The seals switched quickly and stumbled, his finger's locking accidentally. He separated his hands and shook his head in frustration, and tried again. Enzeru flipped through the string of seals again, his hands moving with greater speed then before now as he was beginning to get the hang of the proper rhythm down. He let his chakra level rise as he performed the final seal. Releasing the chakra he looked at the water for a result and the only result was that the water around his feet again barely seemed to churn and bubble as it rose to his kneecap height now.

It stayed there as if the chakra where trying to continue through the jutsu but nothing happened except the water subsided falling down into the canal again. Enzeru looked to his brother and then slapped his hands together in focus. He shook his head and calmed his frustrations from rising, thinking that he would need to keep his head clear and trained on his own work. the lure of competitive training was vibrant but Enzeru realized this and knew that only a level head would win the race. He performed the handseals again and charged a lot of chakra this time in an uncontrolled manner hoping the jutsu would take what it needed. But of course, the lessons of chakra control would have told him that this was not how you perform a jutsu. The different techniques needed a set range of chakra. there was room for estimation within the proper range but that was the importance of control.

The water reacted this time and heavily by simply blasting Enzeru up into the air where the rose pillar simply blew up sending Enzeru flying in a whirl of motion right before he fell and plunged into the canal with a loud splash. The genin tried to swim out and when he climbed back on top the water he found his clothing soaked, his tunic and loose fitting trouser's clinging to his body to reveal a slim and athletic figure, smaller then Kenishi's but somehow similiar in a smaller class, and less muscled where his brother was aligned with the martial arts mostly. Enzeru rubbed water from his eyes and adjusted his forehead protector while preparing himself again. "OK...let's do this the longer way then...at least I know I will get the proper control like this..." Enzeru said to himself as he dripped with the result of his failure. He made the focusing seal while standing stiff and straight. chakra summoned in bulk to his inner coil where he would be able to control it to maximum effect and direct it with the slightest of mental will. This was the training exorcise that all genin learned in the academy when trying to access there chakra from the beginning.

He could feel his essence run vibrant through his being as the chakra's began to run to his arms. Handseals suddenly where formed and Enzeru held the last seal pumping a surge of chakra into the technique, his hands tightening into the last seal harshly as his eye's widened trying to force the jutsu to work. The water under neath his feet suddenly surged and rose up to his middle section right before it seemed to come crashing inwards the water merely lowered back down slowly before settling quietly. Enzeru smiled at this, knowin g that he was close to the right amount of control now. He needed a bit more, and he forgot once more that he was trying an advanced technique. His chakra was still maturing to the level of a competent genin. And so where he kept thinking he shouldn't push it too much, he realized he needed to go somewhere to the edges of his chakra reserves. He needed to push himself to newer heights without over doing it.

His brother was rapidly growing more successful in.. whatever he was attempting to do. This gave Kenichi further determination to master his technique. His hands began to clumsily make their way through the handseals. This was far from his forte, but it seemed he was able to get them down before his brother, who was still stumbling through them. His Byakugan read the scroll behind him with ease, as he began to feel his chakra mix around him in the beginnings of the technique. It was an electrifying feeling, ironically, his chakra mixing around inside him to form into a lightning nature. As it rose in his body to gather in his upper torso, he finished the string of complex finger manipulations. As his hands settled in the final one, his chakra shot out of him in what appeared to his Byakugan a long blue fire erupting from his skull, although it was invisible to everyone else. The chakra erupting from his body slowly began to finish its conversion to lightning, sparks flashing above his head for a split second before they solidified into a bolt that shot downwards to ground itself. As it fell, Kenichi was already beginning to pivot. In a movement similar to what he remembered as the next Jyuuken technique he had his eye on, he was moving fluidly, hands rising and falling as he evenly channeled chakra throughout his body. When the lightning first touched his left hand, the searing feeling was much more dulled then his last attempt. Arcing swiftly through his body, it followed the trail his chakra system left.

As it traveled through his body, he raised his right hand. Exiting it in an oddly fluid-like shape, likely induced by it being formed entirely of chakra, he caught it again with his left hand as it fell towards the ground. Simply touching it with the tip of his finger, he used chakra to grasp the tendril without absorbing it into his body. Unfortunately, this attempt didn't work, and the chakra simply fed the lightning which then arced quite painfully into his body, as he hadn't formed the needed pathway for it to follow without hurting him.

Grimacing in pain, he trundled through the handseals again. They were slowly coming easier to him, although it was still somewhat difficult. A small bit of his brain idly wondered how it was he could destroy a person's chakra with a few well-placed moves, but couldn't get his damn fingers to form right. A twitch of his head to dismiss the thought, and he continued. As he finished, the chakra formed what seemed to him a giant flare out of his head. Even before it could finish the sparking process, he was pivoting, turning sharply on a heel. When it came to physical movement, he was graceful, his hands moving easily and fluidly to raise and catch the bolt. Once it had solidified into a solid electric bolt, it arced downward. His chakra system prepared a path for it to easily trace through his body, mitigating the pain that would normally accompany it. It struck the tip of his right hand's middle finger, and swiftly traced through his body. As he lowered his right hand, he raised his left. As the bolt exited via that hand, it again headed for the ground. Swiftly and continuously turning, he caught it again with his right. This time, he kept the pathway it had followed at the ready, and when it arced through his body for the second time it merely left an odd tingling feeling in its path. Wind whipped his hair out the side as he turned, the lightning exiting yet again from his opposite time. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to turn at the correct speed yet, and it was going to hit the ground yet.. The wind created from his turning seemed to oddly slow the lightning's descent, something he didn't know was possible. Unfortunately, he'd already dismissed the pathway for the bolt, and was caught by surprise when his hand brushed it and it discharged. Arcing his back, his impeccable Byakugan vision was suddenly covered in multiple holes as the electricity disrupted his nervous system signals for a brief moment. Sighing as it faded, he groaned at the increasing pain from being blasted over and over.

Enzeru focused again holding his hands together to tun them through the string of hand seals that was the new jutsu he was trying to get the hang of. His chakra rose throughout his body as he summoned the suiton release and sent chakra running through his feet this time, but tried to push it outwards from his standing position so as to not activate the technique right under him. the chakra surged through the water and activated causing a triangular line to appear as water rose up in a small triangle form. the water rose up to about the heighth of 4 ft in the air before it seemed to stutter in it's completeness. Enzeru tried to keep the technique alive by sending more chakra into the jutsu, but this caused the level of control to fail and the water simply dispersed in an explosion of chakra. Enzeru tilted his head to the side and looked out yonder to his own brother who he saw unveil a rail of raiton to his body.

"Hmph...well I'd like to see him try that technique on me anyway...i think Mines would trump his if it came down to it..." Thats when Enzeru heard someone else whistle from the other bank side of the canal. "Hey kid, don't worry about other's just yourself...we want to see our youth succeed in their effort's Come on now!" Enzeru smiled at this and then focused on his inner coil again. He recharged it full with all his chakra once more and then made some hand seals once again. His hand flipped through the hand seals and he released the chakra one the last seal again. The chakra went down through his legs and into the water that he stood on, flushing to a spot he pre determined with his eye's. Upon going to the location some 10 feet away Enzeru watched as a more squared shaped of water formed now and rose up into the air. this time it thickened some, but right at 4 ft again the wave of water in the square shape seemed to lose it's charge and the water blew apart in another spray of water droplets.

Enzeru snapped his fingers at this cursing his luck. He knew he was just not as skilled at this level of control and power when it came to chakra. He had the ability to do so but he seemed to just not have found that ability yet. He took a moment to bend over and palm his knees from over exertion of his energies in such a short amount of time. This was more chakra then he had ever used in one moment before. In fact only the other day had Enzeru opened his Mokuton release and that was the most chakra he had ever felt in one time. The genin shook some water from his moist face and tugged at his shirt again, getting ready to perform once again. "Okay...I still need more control...gotta find the right range..." Enzeru said as his hands flipped through the handseals again. He charged chakra to his legs and thrust it into the water from there, choosing a spot a little more closer to him at five feet away this time.

The chakra shot through the water's surface, making a small ripple effect. then the water rose up in the square box formation like before and reached about 3 ft high before crashing inwards on itself! Enzeru smiled at this, feeling the success of his technique meant closing in on eventual perfection.

His brother and the chat with the old man went ignored. He was focused, determined to master his technique. He seemed slightly detached from his body as he went through the beginning stages of the technique. They were slowly being ingrained into him as his hands flowed through the seals.. with a few bumps along the way. His chakra sparked within him, adrenaline flowing and giving him a burst of electrifying energy. As it was compressed and refined into primal electric energy, he ejected it from his body before it could spark within him, and explode him from the inside out. Skyrocketing into the air, it flew higher then before, and when it sparked, it was a larger bolt then normal. The chakra went through a violent change, turning into an impressive, foot-wide lightning bolt that arced down towards the training Hyuuga. Eyes widened at the increase in force he'd managed, without trying. As such, he was a little slow to begin his pivoting movement. Instead of directing the bolt around him into a swirling vortex, he barely had the time to perform a half-circle turn to evade the bolt. A roaring blast of thunder rebounding around the two brothers, and a small hole was in the spot Kenichi had occupied a mere moment ago. Rising slowly, almost ominously, a thin trail of smoke drifted lazily towards the sky.

Swallowing swiftly at what surely would have caused a nice crater in his head, Kenichi almost hesitantly formed the handseals again. His unwillingness to commit the needed chakra meant that when his chakra left his body to form the lightning bolt, it was woefully under-powered. A thin bolt, more an elongated spark, flickered down to his body. Not even large enough to create an audible thunder, when he began his swirling rotation to catch the bolt, it didn't even make it through his body. All the bolts had lost some amount of the charge traveling through him, and the already-weak bolt faded entirely, leaving him simply spinning..

Sighing, he ground to a halt. As he began forming handseals, he recognized his problem. Of course, he had to feed it chakra. The technique was one designed for someone above his level, and thus would quite obviously require a fair amount of chakra. As the chakra began reacting, he mixed in a fair amount of his meager chakra pool. As he released the chakra from his body, sending it arcing invisibly through the sky, he began the tiresome process of pivoting. He saw the use, however. The turning created wind, which combined with the lightning and some careful applications of chakra to form a lightning storm, which you combined with more chakra to send a dragon-like attack out. The theory was down, the only problem was the application.

As the chakra lit, expanding explosively into a four-inch-wide bolt of lightning of lightning, nearby civilians looked over, curious. The bolt descended, and he caught it with the absolute tip of his hand. Nearly missing, he was quite nearly set off-balance. Despite this, he bravely continued to twist in a circle, the lightning exiting in a slightly less spectacular fashion. Trailing out of his hand in a long chain-like form, the wind he was kicking up from his rapid rotations twisted it up from the ground ever-so-slightly. Curling up, it almost looked like it was going to begin to circle him. Sadly, it was not meant to be, and with a brilliant series of sparks it discharged into the ground. Swaying slightly, a little dizzy from the spinning, he slumped against the wall, watching his brother as the world rocked around him.

Enzeru tried to perform the hand seals again. He was getting somewhere now finally, his hands flying through the motion of seals as his mind focused on the last seal. The seal came up and he released his chakra suddenly once again the water in the canal came to life and Enzeru's chakra swam through the water to the location he targeted. A larger square design of rippling water appeared and then it formed into the shape of a diamond like rhombus. The water rose upwards into the air and then froze there as if it didn't have the rest of the command to finish its actions. Enzeru watched this happen and tried to control his chakra to make the diamond form the way he needed it to. He needed the water to rise above and come crashing down inwards, but it appeared to not happen as the wave of rising water simply dispersed again.

"Damn this is hard to do...B rank jutsu require much more knowledge of control and reserve then I can afford...I don't understand how I'm supposed to provide more chakra when I have only a certain amount that I can spare..." Enzeru said to himself as he tried once again, pushing more chakra into the technique. he focused on his inner coil once again and powered chakra into his body until the coil was brimming with energy. Enzeru then stopped and thought for a few moments trying to figure out what he was doing wrong. He imagined the ratios of chakra control to amount used and tried to sense the rising progressive combination of the two. He noticed that for this technique he had to start the issuance of chakra around the time of basically pushing chakra into the technique during the last seal. This meant that Enzeru perhaps had to escalate the chakra flow from that point.

He made the hand seals and sent the chakra flowing through the legs and into the water, making its way over to a spot he zeroed in on about 7 yards away this time. The water there began to rise in the shape of a diamond, and as it rose Enzeru escalated the amount of chakra that he pushed into the jutsu. He tried to amplify it to the point that it would rise up and found the jutsu combusted again. Enzeru stopped now, and wiped his forehead again. He closed his eyes and tried to remember the way this technique was supposed to be done. He remembered the images and thats when he came onto something. the diamond was not forming correctly, and he hadn't actually gotten to the actual attack part. The whole time Enzeru had been thinking of this Jutsu in the wrong manner. He had studied that mental projection was a form of chakra control and that if done wrong the technique could fail.

Enzeru decided to try a different approach now. He made the focus seal and focused chakra to replenish the charge in his inner coil. Upon doing this Enzeru decided to form the hand seals but he would activate chakra midway through them this time activating the first portion of the technique which created a sudden diamond like barrier of chakra over the water. Enzeru's eye's widened in awe at this, and then he flushed a charge of chakra into the water around the barrier and watched as a wave of water seemed to surge up and crash into and through the barrier. The technique ended after that and Enzeru found himself in awe of what he just seen. Now he understood what he had been doing wrong all this time.
