Once Okuda reached the port he started looking for a small boat with someone who knew the seas well. After a good minute or two he found one, a man about fifty years in age, he approached him and gave a respectful bow, and said “Excuse me sir, but I see you have a boat here, I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind ferrying me over to Nagi Island, part of the Land of Tea, I need to get there for some ninja business.” The man stood from his small chair that he had been sitting in and drinking Sake and looked the obviously smaller man over, and said in a hearty voice upon seeing the village headband on his forehead “OF COURSE I CAN TAKE YOU” Said the large man with a hearty laugh. Upon closer inspection the man had a large bushy beard, with some grey in it as well as his hair, whatever hair you could see from under his hat at least. “I’ll take you there for free as well as I was planning on heading there myself to try and watch the event, I’ve heard it is quite the spectacle, when they do let the general public watch the events.” The man then pushed the boat into the water holding it in its spot waiting for Okuda to get into the boat before he would get in. Okuda would get into the small boat, it had more than enough space for the two men, Okuda would thank the man as the driver of the boat got in and began to row towards the destination, hopefully the trip there would be uneventful, but only time would tell if it was or not. |
