Hageshi was out on an adventure! He was going to travel to a distant land, and search for a master of TaiJutsu to teach him the art of Gyakusatsu. He had read about this style in several books, and got seriously interested in it. However, no one in his country was able to teach it, and so he set out for foreign lands. Hageshi always liked the sound of adventure, especially when it involved learning new things and exploring new lands. For the first time in his life, Hageshi was going to leave home and make a name for himself little-by-little. He had heard that there was a master in the Land of Fire.
The first logical step was to go to the port. From there, he could probably hire some fishermen or a ferry to take him to the Land of Fire for a decent price. Arriving at the port, Hageshi's first thought was to ask for direction. However, by the looks on their faces, and the constant staring, Hageshi realised that the folks here weren't the friendliest. They seemed to be the type that would rather mind their own business and shun any outsiders. Fair enough, though Hageshi. It seemed like he would have to find his own way there. The most common-sense thing to do at this point was to make his way to the edge of the docks, and attempt to ask each boat-owner for a ride.
It took him around half-an-hour, but Hageshi managed to eventually get near the docks. There were big ships everywhere, and some smaller ones scattered around. Thinking about it, Hageshi decided that his best bet was a big ship. He wasn't sure how he felt about the sea, but had read that smaller ships thrash around a lot more when the waves hit them. One of the bigger ships seemed to be a fishing boat. Approaching a bearded man near it, Hageshi would speak. "Excuse me, sir. Would you happen to be heading towards the Land of Fire? I would do anything for a lift, I'd even pay you a good amount." said Hageshi.
The man listened, somewhat disinterested. "Fine, boy. But I expect a good payment for this!" he replied. That was easier than Hageshi thought it would be. Hageshi thought the man was going to refuse for sure. But he didn't. This was great. Hageshi pulled out a small leather bag of Ryo from his bag and handed it over to the bearded man. In the bag was a total of 500 Ryo, certainly good enough. "That-a-way." The man said, pointing to a wooden ramp that led onto the ship. Obliging, Hageshi walked up the wooden ramp and onto the boat. It was cramped here. Not so much with people, but with cargo. It seemed that this man was more than a fisherman, he was probably running a cargo business too. No matter, Hageshi found a quiet place to sit, with enough space for sleeping too. This would have to do for the trip, an adventurer's bed.
It was almost no time before Hageshi fell asleep. There was something soothing about the motion of the waves, and the night sky above him. In fact, he was so deep in his sleep, that he didn't even notice how quick the trip had gone. He was woken up by a swift kick to the abdomen. Curling up slightly from the pain, Hageshi looked up. It was the bearded man. "Get up, boy. We're nearly there." He said. Hageshi got up, ready to disembark.
