But he had stayed there for months longer than he had intentioned, not wanting to leave. It was just that they all reminded him so much of his mother, and he missed her so dearly that he wanted to stay. Ever since she had passed on he had felt so lost, and there he had felt as if he had belonged. But just a week ago he had received a message from the village stating that if he didn’t return, he would be marked as a missing nin. So now Naoki was back, missing his family of course but thinking his duties as a shinobi were more important. His mother had been so proud when he had become one, after all. The young man was keeping to himself for the most part as he walked the streets, carrying on his age old tradition of trying to just clear his head of all his worries. That was how he dealt with them after all, by not dealing with them and just pushing them to the very back of his mind. At some point he ended up at a public garden, some fall flowers still blooming and his butterflies drifting over to them instead of the flowers on himself sometimes just to drink some different nectar. He took a seat on a bench and just stared at the fountain, listening to the quiet sounds of the rushing water. Only one day ago he had returned, and he had yet to do much of anything and was still trying to gather up the motivation to get back into the swing of things. Of course he didn’t want to laze about forever and he had already been gone for so long, but he was still having a bit of trouble. |
