Although the questions will give us a good idea of what Hanabi is capable of, right now it may not be necessary. It has since passed the required date, but the application was made before a month had passed since the first application.

Partly because of this, and also because you haven't done anything to draw our attention (help in support, bios, or even in the box), I'm going to say 1/2.

The waiting time is 10 business days, not one month first of all. And:


1) I'm never going to help out directly in the box because asking questions there is against the rules. I myself NEVER ask questions there. If I'm supposed to answer questions there, I would just say "I would appreciate it if you posted your questions in support. I'd be more than happy to help you there " or something like that when people asked.

2) I do help in support / char subs. The support stuff should be obvious because I've done a few of those very recently. The reason it isn't obvious as far as subs are concerned is because by the time I look at a char sub (and I've looked at every one for like the past few weeks) it's either been taken care of or the profile doesn't need fixing.

Just go back through my posts and you'll see. In fact, at least one of the chars that are going through submission right now was corrected due to my help. That particular person just took forever to fix everything (more like he didn't listen to me because I'm not staff yet)

As far as the quality of my help goes, I have spotted things that other staff missed and I generally cover everything wrong in the post rather than pointing out one particular detail and moving on.

If I still get denied and you legitimately want to see my activity I can post in each char subs and say whether I'd approve it or what to fix. I already do the second part, I just feel the first part would make me look silly by posting "everything looks good here" especially since my words have no weight.

As far as my non-helping activity goes, I haven't rp-ed out of Flower's event much since a guy has to cram for finals.

I'm terribly sorry. That was my mistake. For some reason, this whole time I've been under the impression that you have to wait a month before applying again after being denied. Regardless of that, my second reason still stands. You really don't stand out to me as somebody who "should be staff". I know that it can be tough to get a word in in support and in character subs, believe me, so I won't hold that against you.

I'm not going to approve you, but I am however, going to rescind my original denial. Maybe other staff have opinions that differ from mine.

Alright I have a serious question here.

Why do you keep changing your name and the name of your thread whenever you apply? If it your subtle way of bumping and drawing more attention so we'll look at it? It sure seems that way since you don't do it at any other time or with other threads.

no particular reason. I'm not in any rush for my stuff to get looked at anyways so don't go blaming me for bumping. Hell I didn't even know Heero rescinded his quasi-denial until Kira posted.

If I'm not allowed to match my thread title with my OOC name then I guess I'll stop.

It's less that you aren't allowed, more that it is looked down on for prospective/current staff. There is nothing more annoying that trying to get in touch with a particular staff member for one reason or another and not being able to contact them because you don't have any clue who they are because they change names once every few days. Now, I agree with Jay that you don't have that staff feel to you, combined with that every time I read your responses I feel as if you're being condescending about everything. Your response to Jay's concern felt like you were bragging more than defending yourself to me.

One other thing, your name in the Name section of your password should not be the name you are currently using. You should use the name you are known by or else confusion like Heero's will happen and someone could be accepted or denied when they should not have. I will withhold my final call until Kira gets those questions done.
