Appearance
To describe Itsuki’s appearance would be a little tough, as he has the capability to change it at will and takes advantage of that fully, at times. However, for the sake of being recognized while he’s working for his village, he has found a standard look to go with that he’s quite satisfied with. While he won’t go as far as walking around in his natural dark blue color, the look that he did manufacture for himself does embody his bloodlimit quite well, at the very least he believes it does. Not to mention he purposefully altered himself to be what he deemed attractive, of course.
He made his skin a pale white, almost transparent like the water that lies just beneath. And he made himself a little on the tall and slender side as well, and he’s pretty damn light on his feet despite what one might expect a boy of his age and stature to weigh. Since he isn’t composed of dense bones or muscles and only water, he doesn’t weigh nearly as much as a normal human would. And he made sure to get all of the proportions of his body correct as well, having made small alterations to it until he was fully satisfied with his lean and slightly muscular form.
Not only does his near translucent skin color represent his clan, but the bright blue that he had picked for his hair and eye color as well. Still it almost seems to have an opacity to it, one may believe that they can see the shifting waters beneath if they look close enough. The style that he keeps his ‘hair’ in is tied up in the back, with thick bangs on the right side of his face. If let down his hair would be about shoulder length, but he keeps it up in a messy high pony tail on the center of the back of his head, and it isn’t even long enough to reach the back of his neck.
Itsuki couldn’t help but give himself somewhat effeminate features as well, a pretty boy face that is definitely not on the manly side. His features are almost delicate, and if one was looking at his face alone they may have difficulty determining whether he’s a boy or girl. And he sort of did it on purpose as well, liking the confusion he sometimes catches in other peoples’ eyes. Perhaps his body has some slight curves that are rare among men as well to add to the playful illusion, to further aid his ploy.
As far as attire goes, he generally doesn’t wear anything too fancy. For the most part he wears a dark blue vest, which he leaves open and doesn’t wear anything underneath. Sure his flat and muscled chest clearly reveals that he is, in fact, a he, but he’d rather keep it that way for functionality. And for his bottom half he generally just wears some dark gray shorts, somewhat tight and just barely falling short of his knee. Then for shoes, well… He doesn’t wear any, as remaining barefoot is more practical for him. Also, he generally wears clothing made of nylon so they can dry quickly.

Personality
A very curious creature, he can definitely be adventurous at times. He likes to go out and explore the world, to find and experience new things. It always seems to be some sort of adrenaline rush, when he ventures out into the unknown and discovers things for himself. Certainly not the type to sit back and learn about the world from books, he would much rather go out and learn from experience. And perhaps he’s a bit reckless at times, delving into things before he has researched them completely, but he isn’t necessarily stupid.
Still he can be cautious, even if he’s an explorer at the same time. When he does take on the unknown, he tries to make sure he’s prepared for anything, and he treads carefully as well. The last thing he would want is an untimely end, so he’s sure to take precautions to avoid such a thing. Though he certainly isn’t afraid of anything, oh no, he’s much too brave for that. While he’s not stupidly arrogant or cocky, he isn’t afraid to put himself at risk for something that he deems worthy. What that something is can be difficult to determine, whether it be an innocent or a hunt to solve some sort of mystery.
As far as personal relationships go, Itsuki is easy going and laid back, very likely to forgive and forget unless the transgression was particularly nasty. Straight up betrayal seems to be the only thing that he has difficulty forgiving, as he can’t bring himself to do easily give trust back to someone who had stabbed him in the back. And he’s certainly the sort who likes to give people the benefit of the doubt as well, but he won’t set himself back up to be hurt again, if he can help it. That being said, he does have a large heart and could quite possibly take exceptions.
Truth be told, he’s the sort who could easily be manipulated, the kind of guy who likes to help others when he gets the chance. Sure he knows to keep his guard up, but he’s not particularly good at it as he’s naturally tempted to help those who appear to need it. Itsuki’s like the nice guy who could be walked over because he cares more about making other people happy than making himself happy, willing to bend over backwards while he doesn’t expect others to do the same for him. It’s the main reason he choose to become a medic really, so that he could further help others when they needed it most.
Itsuki isn’t exactly the most outgoing, but he certainly isn’t shy either. Starting up a conversation is something that he’s never afraid to do, unless of course the person he’s speaking to is particularly frightening. Also, he isn’t the sort to go around talking to everyone drawing a lot of attention to himself. While he’s willing to help strangers if he’s able, he’s more than happy to keep just a small group of close friends instead of having many. And he also tends to be a bit on the playful and teasing side, light hearted and liking to make situations a bit brighter if he can help it.

History
Itsuki’s parents were a tad more traditional for members of his bloodlimit, in the sense that they believed that their line should have never left the island that they had originally evolved on. But they hadn’t really any idea how to get back, so they settled with living a quiet and secluded life on the coast of Uzu no Kuni. And as an only child, they made sure that he was well informed of how their bloodline came to be, and of how he should be content with living surrounded by water his entire life. For quite some time he went along with their wishes, but the longer time went on, the less satisfied he became.
It started when he was around eight years old, he started venturing back inland of the Land of Whirlpools, wondering what it was like back away from the waters that his parents loved so much. There he found all sorts of strange things, land animals that he had never seen before and all sorts of plants, but the most amazing thing were the villages. Having grown up with just his parents, he wasn’t used to seeing so many people together in one place, and it was nothing short of amazing in his eyes. But he never did tell his parents that he had ventured back there, knowing that they wouldn’t approve.
His secret trips to the more populated areas of the island weren’t discovered until four years after he started them, he was twelve when his father finally caught him sneaking back from the forest. The man was infuriated, and told him that he either had to choose between living with them on the beach or living with everyone else further inland. Maybe if he had taken time to consider it his choice would have been different, but in the heat of the moment he decided to abandon his parents and home, leaving in a rage and never returning.
There have been times where he had thought of going back, but never did he let himself. Not only were there still conflicted feelings harbored, but he didn’t want to face the shame of returning to them either. But really, after a few months of exploring the world he found that he would never really want to return to his old life. He traveled around poor as dirt, luckily not really needing the same things that normal humans did and was able to easily support himself on the small amount of ryo that he was able to accumulate from small jobs here and there.
Eventually his travels brought him to the Land of the Waterfall, where he managed to happen upon some shinobi from the hidden village there. They had managed to catch him while he was regaining water from one of the many rivers in the land; they had never before seen one of his bloodline and were quite intrigued. The shinobi managed to convince him to return to their hidden village with them, where he was easily given a place in the academy because of his unique talents and what they could bring to the village. He was already fifteen by the time he started in the academy, a late start but only taking a year to graduate at the age of sixteen.
