Not far to the western border of the Kusa no Kuni is a small marsh, created through decades of irrigation and rain. There is a rather small lake in this marsh that is shallow in nature, surrounded by lush yet sparse grass, few trees, and a sloping shore. On the northern most shore is a small village where fires roar and smoke rises up to the sky at all hours of the day. It's night, the moon is full and the clouds are just as sparse as the grass. The light of the moon and the stars illuminate the ground and lake below it, making it easy to see everything as though it were day time out.

Aimi sat beneath a willow tree at the edge of the lake, his knees propped up and his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes were focused on the lake and the reflection of the moon, the rest of him was focused on his surroundings. There was a small village not far from his location, there was no telling how they might react to his being there. Better safe than sorry as the expression goes. His heels dug into the sand of the shore, protected by the wrappings he wore on his feet. His golden hair shimmered in the moonlight, covering both sides of his face like a set of blinders. The back of his hair was tied in a pony tail and resting over his right shoulder, moving down to the center of his chest. He wore his usual attire - the jacket, shirt and pants all with their own separate flamboyant symbols and designs upon them. His butt bag was attached to his waist, practically empty with only three kunai and a few paper bombs. His odachi was stuck in the sand to his right, just beside his leg. The bottle of sake, now only a third full, was strapped to his right hip where he always kept it. He was fully prepared to stay the night out here by the lake that was so calm and peaceful.
Letting out a sigh of contentment, Aimi leaned his head back and looked up at the stars and the moon in the sky, his hair falling back behind his ears. It was a nice night, very warm and very bright. He placed his hands on his knees, letting them hang limply between his legs. There weren't many nights like these this time of year, so Aimi was glad to have made his way out when he had the opportunity to. He would be asleep before long unless something came about and dragged him away from the dredges of sleep.
