You know... I used to be kind of be in the middle on the whole Sakura/ Hinata things at times, but I think this has convinced me to lean towards Hinata. She saved him twice now at major points in the manga after all, and has taken on two of the major villains known to the the series.
Psh Bee was the only one to actually do shit that chapter.

I really want to cry every time I think of Neji's death. He's one of the few characters I use in the Naruto fighting games that love to play. He's just overall cool in the manga and anime, and frankly, I see that image of the people Naruto knew at the end of the chapter featuring him and probably Sasuke at the very end of the manga. Somehow...

When Hinata slapped Naruto and just held her hand there, I was actually expecting to see a panel where she pulls him in for a kiss and finally express her true feelings. It would have been the perfect moment rather than just holding hands.
All in all not a bad chapter. It was amusing to see Bee blast a bomb in Juubi's mouth then get spit out.

This is the day we realized that Kishii was ready to keep Chouji over Neji...At this point I just began watching other anime and consider NFRP more of a naruto verse then the real series.

Why all the Kishi hate over Neji? He wasn't even a crucial main character in Shippuuden. In the earlier series he was, I acknowledge that, but he hasn't done anything of note in about 200 chapters. Get over it. Shikaku was more impressive than Neji anyway

...Heh, killed Neji...GTFO of here dude...
NFRP doesn't even have canon characters so how the fuck did that change your perception of this site? o.o
Well, it's true that Neji didn't do as much, but Shikaku did even less than him I'm sure. I suppose he's led an entire army while all of the Kages are out fighting, and was considered a Hokage candidate along with Kakashi, but he's not done much until these very recent chapters. Being a deer owner, father of Shikamaru, and head of his own clan I suppose does make him very cool at times. My issue is that I have felt for a long time, Neji, Shikamaru, and Rock Lee have been one of the four pillars that keep the series going by besides Naruto (in terms of the Konoha 11). With Neji dead now, I'm just personally scared Shikamaru and Rock Lee are next before Kishimoto even decides to touch upon any death he would have planned for Naruto.
What I am saying is Kishimoto is inventing a domino type set to kill all his characters maybe and then bring them back to life in a maybe well played, but more likely poorly played Deus Ex Machina. I'm going to hate that if this occurs and Neji or maybe Shikaku is the catalyst for this thing. I just hope there is none for the series. If Neji and Shikaku are dead then keep them that way. Although, I have to still say Neji made me personally cry more than Shikaku could I'm glad both could keep other people alive as long as they could, but it's a shame that both definitely are dead now.

Why? Because someone died in a war? Are people not supposed to die in Naruto, which takes place in a world corrupt by violence?
Well, it's true that Neji didn't do as much, but Shikaku did even less than him I'm sure.
From a storytelling perspective or from the perspective of the story? Either way, Neji didn't do as much as a lot of people think.
If my memory serves me well, the only major contribution Neji had to the story was to help showcase Naruto's growth and resolve, as well as his ability to change people. I don't recall Neji having a big impact on Naruto's character development, but was only there to contrast Naruto's character while still have enough in common to have a connection. This served as a way for Naruto to show sympathy but strengthen his resolve as well, but I didn't feel much of a change in Naruto's character after that battle. After the Chunin exams, Neji's purpose was pretty much fulfilled, and despite the battle with the spider guy his character pretty much fell into obscurity (I'm not trying to say there wasn't anything left to be done with his character, mind you. I'm just saying that Kishi chose not to, which was a real stupid thing to do). I'm not saying he had nothing to do with the story either, I'm just saying I don't recall Neji having a large part in the story. More than Shikaku, but not a lot.
From the perspective of the story... Yeah, I think you answered that yourself.
With Neji dead now, I'm just personally scared Shikamaru and Rock Lee are next before Kishimoto even decides to touch upon any death he would have planned for Naruto.
Don't worry, Rock Lee won't die. He has his own spin-off series!
And I'm a little skeptical about Neji staying dead. When that seal dissapeared from his forehead, I thought "It sure would be convenient if he somehow survived and became the head of the Hyuga clan in place of Hinata!"

Look the irritation I have is Naruto just doesn't sit still. Is it a more violent series aimed at young adults or a children's series.
A war is going on and people die but it's never really prominent it's just there but not show cased.
It's just irritating because it's always been there but there seems to be this tug o war between target audiences. For example you can come up with just as many examples as when everything ends all happy and nice because no one died and Naruto was the hero. But equally you can bring up many good examples of death and despair within the Naruto Universe. I guess I just feel that the sudden shift to the latter took too long and was poorly done.

If Kishi could he'd just end the story with Madara winning because that's obviously what he wants. The deaths of Neji, Shikaku and Inoichi didn't really do much to the story. They didn't have the impact that, say, Jiraiya's death had. I fear that they'll either have died for nothing, or that somehow Naruto will just talk-no-jutsu Obito and he'll rinne-tensei everyone back to life. It was nice to see Kishi present some obvious Naruto/Hinata moments though. It does give basis that something may happen in the end, but as Kishi cant seem to avoid screwing things up I don't have much hope. As Gandalf said, "There never was much hope; only a fool's hope."
