Situated 10 miles from the city of Lincoln in the small village of Stow resides the criminally insane. Despite it being 2013, we still live in a world where homosexuality is still seen as a disease, innocent people are punished for crimes, and murder is.. well as wrong as it has always been. Welcome to Lincoln Asylum. The patients that reside in the asylum are varied. Murderers, kleptomaniacs, familicidals, nymphomaniacs, the sickly insane, and also the odd innocent inmate wrongly thrown into the asylum. The practices here are brutal and strict, and the doctors are nearly as mentally ill as the patients. Once you enter the hospital your chances of escaping are slim to non-existent!

This place was not always a hospital for the mentally insane, however. Before the year of 1970, the place we now know as Lincoln Asylum was a prison of torture and death. Rumor has it now that the place is labeled as haunted. People were seen walking down the halls when night fell, and objects would be thrown around with no one standing by them. Is the place truly haunted? Or is it a random trouble-maker planning on making the insane lose more of their sanity?

And what about the staff inside the Asylum? There's Doctor Gilyard, who uses his position in Lincoln Asylum to try it on with inmates. And the Betty, the infirmary nurse who can easily be led astray. It's hard to forget about Karl, head of security, who does not mind psychically hurting someone to get them to do what he wants. With all this going on how can it be missed by the therapist (Dr Barrett) and the head of the institution (Doctor Hayze)?
