Hira-Shuriken (Overview) - 5 Slots
Rank: "C" Rank
Type: Secondary, 15 per Slot, Piercing, Shuriken
Effect: Is a concealed weapon that is generally for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Hira-shuriken is constructed from thin, flat plates of metal derived from a variety of sources including hishi-gane (coins), and kugi-nuki (carpentry tools), and generally resemble popular conceptions of shuriken. In modern popular culture, these are called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars". They often have a hole in the center and possess a fairly thin blade sharpened only at the tip. The holes derive from their source in items that had holes - old coins, washers, and nail-removing tools. This proved convenient for the shuriken user, as well, as the weapons could be strung on a string or dowel in the belt for transport, and the hole also had aerodynamic and weighting effects that aided the flight of the blade after it was thrown. There is a wide variety of forms of hira-shuriken and they are now usually identified by the number of points the blades possess.
Limit: These types of items may be capable of being bought inside any Weapon Shop.
Cost: 1,500 Ryo per Slot, or 100 Ryo Each.

Character Depth
Personality:
- Arrogant
Unlike his brother, Meridion seems to care about little more than what he deems worthy of his attention. Almost the complete opposite of the word "humble", he doesn't show concern about the achievements or the shortcomings of others. So long as his role is fulfilled, then everything else is trivial. Perhaps this stems from his Onigami blood, feeling that he should establish his dominance over the mental since he's unable to truly dominate the physical. Regardless, he stands tall and won't hesitate to solidify his position as the Alpha.
The only person that he appears to calm down for is Baek, himself. Though they've never had contact before, his father was a master swordsman that told Meridion of his hopes for a son that would bring him pride just as Meridion did. That's when he'd heard word of Baek. Having a similarity, it's only natural that Meridion have a sense of mutualism with the fellow Ichinose. But it was Meridion who was gifted with the eye, not his brother. Baek was ordinary, while he possessed the eyes of God. Regardless, Meridion tries to show as much respect for those of his kin as possible. - Judgmental
That's right - Meridion is judgmental. Call him an asshole if you want, but he sees life for what it truly is: a horrible joke gone wrong. Meridion will prey on the shortcomings of others if he deems it necessary, often pointing out the obvious that no one else wants to. Though it doesn't come out much, he won't hesitate to tell someone about themselves. He's even hard on himself, having worked extremely hard to maintain his physical condition as he has. He is able to function without issue, but his lack of Taijutsu is ever a constant irritation. With that being known, Meridion strives to excel at everything else.
It would be a mistake to think that he can't keep up, though. The Onigami's abilities are fully matured, giving him the ferocity of a soul untamed all the same. If anyone mistakes Meridion's lithe frame for weakness, they'll quickly find themselves in a world of hurt.....or worse. It seems like Baek is the only one that doesn't get this treatment, a direct result of their father demanding greatness out of the both of them. They were worlds apart, but not so different at the core. Their father was a great swordsman. Unfortunately, Meridion would have to use other means - he was proficient, but could not stand the strain. - Passionate
Meridion has the heart of a lion and the passion of a thousand suns. He isn't hindered by any means, always seeking to live by the motto "Go big or go home". Meridion believes that life is only given once, and there's no sense in wasting it on trivial or matters that one doesn't want to. He often takes a backseat to the actions of others, playing captain obvious and providing his two cents at almost every turn. Call it sardonic, sarcastic, or cold? You'd probably be right. And he'd probably take it as a compliment.
Fighting is also a strong point of passion for Meridion. People would probably think him a frail, timid person....but they would be wrong. Meridion is quite the force when his eyes display their power, often rearranging the landscape in the wake of his Ninjutsu and Genjutsu capabilities. Since his body can't be the pride and joy of his skill, then his mind and his eye would be. Thoroughly good (and almost grossly pleased) with cutting someone's mind to pieces, Meridion thrives on illusory combat and chakra-based assaults.
Appearance: - Framework
Meridion stands at a whopping six feet and three inches tall, his body lithe and having lean muscle all over. Because he is an Onigami, his body never truly developed fully. This leaves him with somewhat of a strange look, one of his height and age looking like both his height and weight are anomalies all in themselves. Meridion doesn't try to hide his height, though. He embraces all aspects of himself, choosing to live in the present and work with what he has to get where he wants to go. But it's not to get it mistaken - Meridion is quite the lady's man, able to unbutton his shirt and show his jealousy-inducing abs. It may not be completely rock-hard solid, but his structure is more than enough to support the weight of a kunoichi. - Outstanding Features
Meridion possesses crimson locks that match the very color of his eyes. A person would be captivated by those almond-shaped eyes, his piercing gaze almost always prevaling before anything else. His eyebrows are arched to a thin degree, giving him a curious yet intriguing look. He has very youthful features, almost to the point where one would call him a pretty boy (though this is definitely not the case). To compliment his look, Meridion chooses to dress with a bit of unkempt style instead of wearing what everyone else wears. Crimson pants that are somewhat baggy cover his black shoes, a loose belt dangling behind him (but oddly enough with no annoyance). He wears a crimson shirt beneath a black jacket, the collars crimson and crisp against a backdrop of pure black.
Meridion sports a circle on the back of his jacket, representing the circle of life that he believes in as he brings his judgments to people and deems them either worthy or unworthy of being around him. His ears are somewhat pointed, though hidden behind his hair just as much as some of his face is. He has been known to drape his hair over one eye, giving him the appearance of annoyance (and this is usually the case). Meridion's skin is flawless, unblemished and tanned just enough to give him a slightly darkened hue. He takes care not to do anything far more strenuous than he can handle. As such, his hands are also not calloused. He may look like he's a stranger to hard work, but his lithe frame says otherwise. - Tattoos
Meridion has tattoos that first start at his shoulders, depicting flames and tribal tattoos that signify his defiance against life's odds. They hurt like a bitch when he first got them, being exposed to sharp objects and pressure that took him to the brink of his existence. But he finds it exhilarating, and almost finds it to be the definition of life itself. He also sports a tattoo on the back of his neck in the form of a crescent moon, a symbol of him being a combination of the light and the darkness. There rests a triangular formation of triangles over his heart, sizable enough to be seen slightly through the jacket and shirt that he wears which exposes some of his lean musculature.
He might be an Onigami, but he wears it with pride. His eyes are capable of the ultimate deception, so why not his body as well? Of course, this isn't to say that a swift kick or a proper punch won't send him tumbling. But with his swagger, there's no telling what he's going to do. He lives for what he believes he should live for. Whether it be an alcoholic drink (he'll drink you under the table) or a late night with the ladies, Meridion doesn't back down. Kid's got balls.
Background:
Out of all things, it seemed that Meridion was a secret. His father was among the most notable when it came to wielding the blade, and thus their lives were constantly in danger by those who would come to seek glory and dominance over the true forced that was to be reckoned with. Meridion's birth was one of hushed proportion, not so much as a whisper being told as he appeared to have complications early on in his existence. His body appeared to grow with a rather weak composition, preventing him from supporting himself for quite some time.
But as his father would be with Baek, so would he be with the genius Onigami that came to grow up to be a fine young lad. Meridion spent his days within his father's shadow, constantly listening to him speak of the Bushido Code. Regardless of whether or not Meridion could truly handle a sword like his father, he still did all that he was told. He didn't want to risk being shamed, already feeling inadequate because he couldn't participate in all areas of Taijutsu like everyone else seemed to be able to do. He was extremely good at his chakra mnipulation, but everything else that involved manual labor came slow and steady for someone like him.
It wasn't until later that his Onigami was revealed, a far greater accomplishment than anything that his father could have anticipated. They wondered just how he was able to manifest in such a way, his eyes giving him the ability to perform other-worldly tasks like seeing in a complete three hundred and sixty degree view. Meridion could catch items that were thrown from a great distance. He could tell just what type of abilities lay out around him. He could even deceive people with his illusory combats. Though his father knew not how to take this, he eventually came to appreciate his son for what he could do.
Eventually though, Meridion had to enter the academy. It was almost a demand that he do so, but he was intrigued to find out just what his eye and other abilities were like. He grew up with the other children, staying in the fray of things and coming out on top with flying colors. Some people would call him a prodigy, but others would just consider him a nuisance. Knowing this, he kept to the shadows as he grew older so that he could hone his presence with society at some point. He wasn't sure if he was looking for acceptance or just a mutual isolation. But as his father had always told him, he didn't need to be so hasty. Of course, growing up, Meridion hardly listened.
But this was somewhat of a hit or miss, as Meridion became quite the charmer with his enigmatic flare. Kunoichi often wondered just what kind of boy he really was, though he just disregarded them with a "tch" or a wave of the hand. His parents knew that he would grow up to be out of their control, and so they merely provided him with reiterated speeches of the Code while instructing him to find his own path. Meridion continues to do so to this day, this probably being the reason he wound up within the ranks of Kusa. He wanted to forge a new day, and leave the impressions of his father behind. It was time for him to step up to the plate and claim glory for what he, and only he, could fathom.
