Personality:
Bookish
Yasuo is a very bookish sort of person, it being very rare that he is with his nose out of a book. When he is n reading a book of some kind, chances are he is writing one of his own novels. Yet various forms of Novel aren't all he writes, for his nest work in progress is a compendium of every Bloodline and Clan, their abilities and possible identifying features. Always when he reads or works he is distant from the rest of the world, yet even when not reading or working he can be found daydreaming with a distant look on his face.
Messey
When it comes to the way Shobou lives, he is a complete train wreck. The only things not strewn about the floor are books, which he always shelves after reading, though rarely are they placed where his maid wishes he would. If it weren't for the maid, the man would wade through piles of his own mess wherever he went within his house. Cleaning up after himself had never been something the pale man knew how to do, even as a child.
Uncaring
Shobou is a perfect example of one with the True Neutral mentality. He cares very little for the lives of most people, his primary focus being himself. That not to say he's an entirely selfish person, there will be the rare act of kindness from him. Though if he has a subject fixated in his mind for a book or other project, then he will protect them.
Helpless
Though Yasuo is quite an intelligent and capable man, when it comes to some things he is absolutely helpless. This helplessness is somewhat an extension of his reclusive nature. When it comes to social matters the man a complete train wreck, incapable of extended human interaction. Common sense is another trait the fellow lacks, often making choices others would know to avoid. However, though this trait in him often makes people think him weak and foolish, when forced into combat the Illusionist proves himself quite capable.
Torturous
Shobuo can be quite a mischievous and torturous person when he wants to be, though he rarely causes physical harm. When his deadlines are approaching, though he always finishes manuscripts early, they are rarely given to his editor when finished. He will usually wait 'til the day of the deadline when his editor comes to his home and feigns that he's barely started, which goes on until the last minute or something forces him to stop. There are other occasions when fans of his novels find his home and other intruders attempt to gain entry, he will often enjoy frightening them off by use of Genjutsu.
Reclusive
Yasuo has been a recluse his entire life, always dreading those times he was forced into the public's eye. He had always sought the company of books as opposed to human beings. As a cause of this nature, the male neglected all forms of social interaction. Though, on the occasions when he was forced out, he brought books and learned merely the basics of politeness, such as apologizing, though he rarely uses such mannerisms.
Intelligent
The author is a very intelligent person, yet his intelligence is more of the book variety. And accompanying his intelligence is an analytic nature. He enjoys the mental challenges over the physical, often trying to divert a fight into a game of chess. Zen Rock Gardening, which clears the mind, is an enjoyment for him simply because it helps him clear his mind for puzzles. When it comes to matters of violence the man will analyze the situation to find any possible way to avoid conflict and sometimes even create situations where attempting violence will be fatal.
Appearance:
Yasuo is a unique individual in the way he presents himself in both posture and appearance. Messy, unkempt locks of the purest of whites fall from the brow of this author. The locks of white fall from his hairline down to his shoulders. Soft features are molded lovingly in to flesh pale from a lack of sunlight, the flesh of a man who prefers his solitude.
Eyes aquamarine in hue are set within the sockets of his skull, most often intent and focus are seen within the iris. His physique is not quite that which would be expected of such a person for, though he spends most of his time reading, his body is quite trim with little muscle. There isn't much that this artist of the word wears, only having one main outfit, reclusive nature meaning little in the formal department.
When wearing shoes, run down black sneakers that look in desperate need of repair cover his feet. Upon his legs the pale male wears loose black pants, somewhat loose without being overly baggy. A white long sleeved shirt adorns the torso of the male with a slightly open neck and somewhat ornately designed collar. Occasionally, when forced into a book signing by his manager, he wears a crimson mantle with yellow trim and black triangle design.
When the temperature drops to levels where the author becomes uncomfortable, his wardrobe will, of course, change. The white long sleeved shirt he wears will not be replaced, but a black jacket will cover it. Under that white shirt will also be a black undershirt. The semi-loose black pants he wears will be replaced with a slightly thicker variation of themselves to provide extra warmth.
As with most Sankuchi who are proficient in the techniques of their bloodline, Shobou possesses a mouth upon the palm of each of his hands. Though he is not ashamed of them they can be considered quite unattractive and he will often wear simple black gloves to cover them up. His fingernails are always kept perfectly manicured and cleaned, even on the days where he feels compelled to sculpt or use his clan techniques. Though jewelry is something seldom worn by the man, he always wears a sapphire bead upon a golden chain about his neck.
History:
Yasuo was a child born into a family of both wealth and influence. Such a background and upbringing normally creates pompous snobs as offspring, yet Yasuo was an oddity. During his childhood the boy was raised as another other of his family's influence and wealth, but that did not phase him. Instead, the boy took more to his reading and writing studies rather than anything else, often becoming detached into the world of his books. Even from that time as a child the world within each book captivated him far more than the real world around him.
Thus he grew in such a sheltered life, not by his parents' but by his own choosing. As the years grew on his reading level grew at an alarming rate, and with his reading level his writing began to take shape. It began as nothing but short stories and poems but writing became and extension to his reading. In their desperate attempt to get him more in tune with the real world they enrolled him in the Ninja Academy of Iwagakure no Sato. For some time this seemed to work, as the boy learned to mold his chakra to an excellent degree but then things went sour one day, the day he learned to sneak his books in and read during class.
No longer would he pay attention in class and the boy read throughout the day instead. It was not long before the boy was expelled from the school, they had deemed his lack of discipline to make him a terrible shinobi. His family, angered by this outcome, began to discipline him properly, taking him through the paces of the techniques of their bloodline. These clay creations were where he excelled, the creativity that had been given to him from reading all the time was perfect for the creation. Soon they decided it was again time to ship the boy off to learn the shinobi ways.
They would not send him to Iwagakure's Ninja Academy this time, though, and instead shipped him of to Otogakure. They believed there would be no shame if he was expelled from the school of the Sound Village. They were shocked in the end when he passed, for the boy did not desire to be cooped up on his family estate to train techniques he had already mastered ages ago. Not wishing their son to stay in dormitories with the other Gennin, his parents built a tower to Yasuo's specifications.
As the years went on the man rose in the ranks and became a Chuunin when he was fifteen years old. At the age of eighteen the man became a member of the AnBu Falcon Unit upon killing his fourth missing ninja. After becoming a member of the Falcon division of AnBu the male began to take it easier, focusing more on the career he really desired, writing. It was little more than a year after becoming an AnBu that his first book was published and since then two of his books a year have been published. Yet his true work, a compendium of clans and bloodlines, is not yet completed and as of late the subject for a novel has entered his sights, the Otokage Tsukiko Mayu.
