How it had come to her, she wasn't quite sure. Although after awakening the Tasukeru, Yoshi just knew that she'd have affinity for wind. Now sitting in a kneeled forward position, she'd have to distinguish the wind chakra from the other affinities. Holding a piece of paper between her two palms, Yoshinee closed her eyes and envisioned a blade running up and down the paper, trying to cut a fine line in the white sheeth. The first many attempts were failures. Yet, somewhere down the line, a minor cut had appeared in the bottum of the paper, making it obvious that she'd have affinity for wind.

Pressing her palms slightly harder together, Yoshinee attempted to focus her chakra more. Taking on the shape of the edge of a blade, she slowly drove it over the surface of the paper. Focussing it more and more, slowly she started being able to carve the paper into two pieces. As the paper ripped,she opened her palms to take a look. A long straight cut had gone right through the middle, parting the paper as if it had been cut by an actual blade. Applying the two cut-sections of paper on top of one another, Yoshinee attempted to cut through two layers at once. Continuing like that, until the paper was in too small pieces to be held properly between her palms. After having done so, she blew the little pieces of paper into the air, turning them into a paper-shower.

Cutting thin paper was one thing. Being able to solidify the chakra into actual wind-chakra was another matter entirely. Now that she shape and control seemed to be decent, she'd be attempting to apply wind-chakra in the form of a burst. However, which thing could she reliably slice with a burst of wind chakra? Cutting through stone would be a bit too hard for her current skill. Slicing through wood might be a more suitable alternative. After having attained the control to slice through wood, she could always move on to trying with stone afterwards. Walking up to a nearby tree, Yoshinee placed her palm flatly against the surface of the tree. Closing her eyes, she took a few deep breaths, attempting to focus on the task at hand.

Channeling the chakra into the surface of the bark in an attempted burst, the vision for her chakra was quite alike the shape of a katana slicing through it. A low sound emerged, as a small piece of bark dropped from between her fingers and onto the ground. The cut in the wood was smaller than small. While channeling chakra and using it to cut something was quite easy, actually attaining the more burstive collective energy was quite a ways harder. This was her third affinity aswell, and while the two others had come natural, this one wasn't as natural to her. It was an affinity that she'd have to drag more to the surface. Shaking the bark off of her hand, she slightly leaned her head to the side. This was a challenge, and she did not intend to back down.

Closing her eyes, Yoshinee molded chakra and kept it at the base of her palm. The palm was gently placed upon the surface of the tree, as she was attempting to build up pressure with the chakra. Releasing it in one burst, another low tack was heard, as several small pieces of bark dropped down to the ground below her. The cut had increased slightly, and her body was getting used to creating wind-chakra at a larger and larger rate. A sly smile went onto her lips as her confidence skyrocketed. This wasn't actually that bad, and she could likely have this affinity written underneath her belt before nightfall. Stretching her body and moving around a bit, she placed her palm back onto the tree.

Molding chakra and changing its nature, this time she stared on the tree with open eyes. Focussing the chakra had gotten to a reasonable level. Now she'd have to focus the destructive power of the wind-chakra into the target. Breathing calmly, she gently pushed her hand forward and harder against the surface of the tree. Releasing the wind-chakra in the same second, a sizeable cut emerged upon the surface of the tree. It was deep, straight and sharp. Pieces of bark were flying in every which direction. While it was getting better, Yoshine wasn't quite satisfied. Continuing with the same method for a series of additional attempts, the tree ended up having several deep cuts on all of its sides. While she had been using chakra to climb up the tree, she had also unleashed wind-chakra, getting accostumed to using regular chakra and wind chakra at the same time.

Nodding and taking a few steps back, the sharpness of her wind chakra had definitively increased. The time had come for the final test. Approaching a rock, Yoshinee bit her lower lip with a wonderous face. While she could easily blow this stone to bits with water-techniques, being able to just dent the surface would be enough for her with wind-chakra. At least, for now. Crouching down and placing her palm on top of a boulders surface, the crimson eyes stared upon the surface with intent. Then, slowly she started to build chakra. The pressure was building, as Yoshinee was pushing her current wind-capabilities to their limits, and hopefully increasing the strenght beyond her limits with every attempt.

Pushing down onto the boulder, Yoshi released the wind-chakra in as concentrated of a burst as possible. The sound that emerged was almost comparable to swinging a metal katana against rock. A few pieces of pebble ran down the boulder, as a shallow clean cut had appeared. Along with the cut, a smile appeared on Yoshinee's face. Deciding to have a little fun with it, the young kunoichi kept on building and releasing chakra onto the boulder, until it started to take shape. With every cut, it came closer to looking like what she had pictured when she had first seen the rock.
Taking a step back and looking upon her creation, a smiley face had emerged onto the rock, cut carefully by using various different applications of the wind-release. Content with how it had worked out, Yoshinee decided to continue moving. There were still many miles towards home.

Suiton: Rikkido no Tori (Water Style: Liquid Bird)

Effect: Creates a large bird, larger than the user, of water.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: The bird cannot do damage.
Description: Creates a bird of water. The water acts as normal water, save for it being in the shape of a bird. It has chakra around its wings, enabling it to fly. If it were to give or take a hit, the water would act as normal water, and go to the area of lesser pressure, around the hit. The user can send chakra to whichever body part touches the bird, and use it to ride and fly. Must mantain teh handseal for the technque.
Limit: Must know Suiton no Jutsu (Water Release). Must know Fuuton no Jutsu (Wind Release). Must have a water source.

Having experienced quite a bit of hardships travelling, Yoshinee decided that it was time to make it easier for herself in many ways. The answer had come to her, almost like an answer from the skies. Why not attempt to manipulate water into the shape of a bird, to fly her around? If she was capable of forming missiles that could float in mid air, then surely she could create a bird to ride upon? The creation would be a slight bit larger than a missile, granted, but the pressure didn't need to be extraordinarily high, as the bird wasn't meant for attacking.

Sitting down, Yoshinee gathered chakra and folded a small series of seals. As the water gathered around in a small pudde, she allowed her chakra to direct and manipulate the shape of the bulb. Attempting to increase the amount of water and applying a little pressure, Yoshinee quickly realised that the trick of this technique wasn't to add as much water as possible. It was to remove as much water as possible. The more water she filled in, the heavier the bird would be. Adding in her own weight, although she didn't weigh much at all, she'd really have to cut the bird off on the low end of things. The crimson eyes watched carefully. The bird had finally taken a shape that seemed usable.

Even so, Yoshinee wasn't happy standing onto the bird just yet. First she'd want to make sure that it could carry itself, and that she could control it properly. Directing her chakra, the bird flapped it wings and took a few steps forward, before setting off into the air. Carrying itself with the pride of an eagle, for exactly five meters, it then collapsed and turned to nothing but water again, dropping down like rain from a cloud. It would seem that she'd need to be in an immediate vicinity to the bird to be capable of controlling it properly. If the distance became too great, or she stopped focussing on the technique directly, it would come apart. At great heights, it could potentially be dangerous.

Biting her lips and shaking her head, it seemed there'd only be one way to learn how to fly. Doing it, immediately. Folding seals and creating yet another bird purely made of water, Yoshinee stepped up onto it, placing her legs directly over the wings at the watery-birds neck. While sitting there, she slowly and precisely removed water from its center, making it more lightweight while still keeping her own weight up. As soon as she had found a good balance, the crimson eyes looked around. Holding tight, Yoshinee took a few deep breaths. Then, attempting to merely control the bird, she made it run around in a circle, manuvering it through trees with care. After having done so for a while, Yoshinee seemed to be content with her control of its movements. The real test was still ahead, once she took it to the skies.

Flapping the wings of her creation, Yoshinee looked ahead. Normally she was a far more sensible person than this. Ahead of her was a 10 meter drop into a pond. The pond couldn't exactly be considered deep, and as such, this would be quite a risk. Yet, she also felt that she needed to do this. Like a bird who spread its wings and flew from the nest for the first time. The watery-bird started to run, the edge was getting closer, and an adrenaline rush went through Yoshinee's body. As they ran over the edge, the only thing Yoshi could think was; I'm going to die!

Even if it was just ten meters, it felt like she was falling for ages. Attempting frantically to readjust the angle of the birds wings, Yoshinee managed to make take the bird into a gliding position. With her heart racing, she then slowly made the bird flap its wings, taking her up higher over the trees. Angling slight to the side, Yoshinee made the bird change direction. Flying around in a big circle, Yoshinee experimented with increasing the speed, lowering the speed, coming to a break, taking sharper or longer turns, and everything else that one could imagine would be useful when manuvering around in mid air.

Then, gathering courage as she was getting more accustomed to flying, she drove the bird upwards. Taking a leap of faith, soon Yoshinee was hanging with her head downwards and the mass of water being above her. Finishing the loop in a successful manner, it was almost as if the bird came alive and started flying on its own. Just like one would with running, bicycling or anything else, controlling the movements of the bird was slowly becoming second nature. With a content sigh, Yoshinee guided the bird back towards where they had started. This would definitively become useful later on. Flying over the rocky area, Yoshinee increased the amount of wind-chakra she was pouring into the technique. As such, she was able to manipulate how fast she could be flying at any one time, and how much up or down the bird would be moving with each stroke of its wings. Flying felt fantastic, and she was enjoying it, but she would have to land and pick up her stuff before moving onwards.

...As she neared the cliffsides, Yoshinee slowed down the speed of the bird considerably. The wingbeats being fast, but directed in such a way that it was lifting the bird against its current line of force, it was almost as if they were standing still in midair for a brief second, before planting the watery legs onto the ground below. Releasing the seal, the bird returned to being just water. Such a strange sensation. Flying for the first time sure could be said to be a wonderous feeling, and it wouldn't be the last time she'd be attempting this kind of thing. Perhaps it would allow her to travel home to Yukigakure over the waters faster. At least the distance wasn't further than she felt she could fly by herself.

Picking up her items, Yoshinee gathered chakra and created the liquid bird once more. Sitting up on the back, it would be her first attempt at travelling with so heavy equipment on her aswell. Getting comfortable, she had the bird run off the cliff. Spreading out the wings, a few heavy wingbeats were taken before they were in the air. It was considerably harder on the chakra draining, but it would be more than okay for the next while. On top of that, she'd have a great view of absolutely everything going on down on the ground aswell. Leaning forwards, she allowed her feet to rest, while her chakra was the only thing driving her forward. At this speed, it wouldn't take half as long to move back to Yuki, as it would having moved here in the first place.
