I slept underneath a tree by an oasis in one of the Mist Village's forests, what kind I wasn't sure. Botany wasn't my strongest of subjects, that was something that Aika was always better than myself at. Something in which she excelled but I did not. Even ceremonial tea ceremony was difficult for me, I wasn't the most of enlightened men though I had my honor. That and my sword. These were the only things in this world I needed and I would use them to once again restore the Tachibana but for now; I needed rest. As I slept a gentle breeze hit my cheek as I breathed the moist air, and while I did I had a peculiar dream - a dream of Takeuchi and Ren. Now this itself was not odd, I often dreampt of these two. In the dreams we were in the midst of a powerful battle, fighting for our lives, but this wasn't one of those dreams. In this dream were were in the forest, by the oasis, and they were standing above me.
"Taking a break are we sir?" Ren teased of me, he would always do that to me despite my superiority in rank. I let it slide however as I often could use a joke or two to lighten the load upon my shoulders. I think he knew that. "You can not rebuild the Tachibana like that" Takeuchi then criticized. I knew that though. I was just... So tired... And lonely... I just wanted some time... "Time isn't something you're going to get!" Ren then exclaimed as he knelt down and grabbed me by the collar, hoisting me to my feet as my sword clanged against my waist within its sheath. My beige robe was now hanging open, I looked a mess, but I didn't shift to mend it. I just stood their mouth agape as I looked upon my fallen friends. "Head to the Land where Waterfalls turn the air to haze; Aika is waiting" Takeuchi then instructed me as everything turned to white.
I tried to touch them before they dissapeared within the blinding light, I tried as hard as I could, but my hand fell short. I couldn't touch then and when I awoke I found myself on my feet. I didn't know how I got their but as I looked down I saw that my beige robe was hanging open. "Was that a dream or..." I trailed off in thought before I caught my barrings. It didn't matter what it was, a vision, an angelic miracle or a dream. My friends would never lie to me but... Aika... She was dead... What did they mean she was waiting for me in the Land where Waterfalls turned the air to haze? She couldn't be... She was dead... I would never find out what they meant if I stayed here however. I needed to leave. To journey...
