Rank: C
Effects: Forms bone deposits below the shoulder blade for wing growth.
Special: A baby bird of any kind, a Tsubasa Ritual Scroll, two Tsubasa members of 19 years or older, and a Tsubasa medic.
Description: By use of their own blood, the two Tsubasa members will draw a circle upon the ground and place an unrolled Tsubasa scroll within the center. In the center of the circle, seated upon the scroll, sits the recipient of the ritual with his back to the baby bird which aids his receiving of the wings. At each end of the scroll stands one of the two Tsubasa members with the medic waiting outside the circle. The two Tsubasa then begin to make a long string of handseals, each seal lighting up a symbol upon the scroll in green. Once all symbols light up the chakra spreads to the circle itself, and when the blood becomes green it begins to wrap around the recipient and baby bird. Once this occurs the medic steps in and plucks a feather from the baby bird, placing it between the recipient's shoulder blades. The green blood with then merge with the feather, and the feather with the recipient's back which adds a new chemical to their system to incite feather growth when stimulated. Once inside the body the chakra laced blood begins to flow about, causing immense pain, which the medic alleviates with the Healing Hands jutsu as the bones are hollowed out. The excess of calcium taken from the bones builds up just below the shoulder blades to be used to form wings with the proper jutsu later on.
Drawback: Cannot go into Akimichi Clan, Seitetsu Clan, Kouba, any Elemental Kekkei Genkai, Kamyuja, and cannot fly carrying weight over 100lbs.
Placement Requirements: Must have Wing Grow to properly form the wings and Wing Control to use them properly.
Cost: 16,000 Ryo
Same no Gishiki (Ritual of the Shark)
Rank: “C” Rank
Effects: Changes the user’s appearance to give them blue skin, gill-like appendages, and access to the ritual’s techniques.
Special: Preparing the Ritual- First, the user must obtain the body of a full-grown shark. The body must be fresh, not more than 3 days IC old. The type of the shark gained will determine the manner in which the user’s facial and bodily features will change. Then, the user must obtain 50 shark incisors, which cannot come from the shark to be used in the ritual. After that, the user must purchase a large bottle of ink from a shop. The user then pricks their finger and adds their blood to the ink. With that done, the user has completed all the preparations for the ritual and must then find a Same Saishi (Shark Priest) to perform the ritual.
Description: Once all the preparations for the ritual have been completed, the user will be asked to sit down by the Same Saishi. The man will then use the ink that has been prepared for him and draw a circle around the person that is ten meters in diameter. The kanji for the four seasons is written at the quarter marks for each circle, with summer at the top (behind the user), spring to the right, winter at the bottom (in front of the user), and autumn on the left. These directions are symbolic, as it represents a turning away from Fire (Summer) and embracing the Water (Winter). From there, the user’s shark is placed directly in front of where they sit, and the user will place the shark incisors in a circle around him. The user is then asked to meditate for one turn, getting lost into a trance. The Same Saishi then performs the handseals of “Rat, Rabbit, Dog, Monkey, Tiger, Snake, Dragon”. Upon the completion of the Dragon seal, the ink circle around the user will burst forth in radiant blue light, and the user will be thrown into an illusionary world.
In this world, they will enter an ocean battleground, where the opponent will be themselves. The difference will be that the person will be fighting themselves as they will become when the ritual is complete, thus they have the shark-like appearance. This self is capable of using any technique that the user has plus any technique from the Clan’s arsenal. This other self is roleplayed by either Lash or a staff member designated by Head Staff if he is not around. Any deathblows landed by the user will simply cause the Shark Self to regenerate. This fight will continue until the person has gained 90 TP. At that point, the user will fall down, exhausted, and a merging of the two aspects will occur. While this is happening within the mind, outside the body of the person and the shark begin to glow a bright blue. When the merging is over, the user will awaken to find that they have gained the qualities of the shark, which has since disappeared. They have less teeth, but are larger and sharper, much more pointed. Their skin tone takes on a blueish tint, and their body expands to gain more muscle.
Drawback: Once the Ritual is gained, the user cannot use or learn techniques from the Fire Release (Katon no Jutsu), Lightning Release (Raiton no Jutsu), or the the Wind Release (Fuuton no Jutsu) (Wind Release (Fuuton no Jutsu) technique for the Hyouton no Jutsu (Ice Release Skill) techniques but may not progress further). This ritual’s strength is such that it takes up all three of the user’s Ritual capabilities. If the user is gaining the ritual after character creation, then it costs 90 TP no matter what rank the user is. This is an increase of price than a regular “C” Rank and meant to be this way, as it represents the filling up of all three ritual spots. Counts as three of the user's starting techniques if taken at character creation.
Placement Requirements: Must have the Water Release (Suiton no Jutsu). Must complete all the required ritual steps. Must be a member of the Hoshigaki Clan.
Cost: The cost of the ritual is free if the user gathers all the materials necessary for the ritual. Specific portions of the ritual must be bought, but the cost of those items is listed above and is not included in this Cost section.
The Ritual of the Spider
Rank: C
Effects: Gives a Kumomusha member 4 extra arms.
Special: 4 wooden arms, carved perfectly(500 Ryo each), a knife, ink, 4 scrolls(Special: 2000 Ryo each), 8 spiders, 12 Kumomusha Clan Members, 1 medic (can not be one of the Kumomusha members). (All may be NPCed by Staff)
Description: Eight Kumomusha members cage 8 spiders and lay them at certain points in the room, forming a circle. Painting ink onto the ground, the other 4 Kumomusha clan members draw a large spider with each leg ending on one of the 8 caged spiders. Laying the participant onto the ground in the middle of the spider these four stand at each point on the body where a new arm will be attached. The Eight other members of the Clan stand behind each spider and then sit. The four beside him then begin the ritual, while a medic stands outside the circle. Cutting a deep cut into the four spots where the arms are to be attached, the Kumomusha Clan members slowly begin to chant ancient dialogue that goes along with it. Forming handsigns chakra begins to flow into the spider symbol. Glowing blue it sends chakra into the target. The four Kumomusha members, each having one arm with them, places an arm onto the spot where the arm is to be attached, making them fit into the cut part of the body they tie a scroll which has ritualistic runes drawn on it, onto the arm and then began to form handsigns. Those outside keep chakra flowing into the body parts. Suddenely the wooden arms become real, and they begin to insert into the body, the whole body reforming internally due to the 8 on the outer circle. The body reforms to where it can bear 4 arms. The medic enters and begins to do healing hands on each arm, molding it onto the body finally. The Clan Members all begin to chant again and then the new member is taken to the hospital for healing. In about a week they will be healed enough to return to fighting
Drawback: If one is born into this clan, the pacement of this ritual will take up two jutsu. If not, this will take up four.
Placement Requirements: Must have done the “Movement Training” in order to properly use one’s arms. If not done, one will have problems moving their arms.
Cost: If born into the Clan, this will cost 16,000¥. If not, this will cost one a 10,000¥ extra, resulting it into becoming 26,000¥.
Kotetsu Umoo Shoogai
Rank: "C", "B", "A", "S"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Using chakra the Tsubasa Clan member can turn their wings into a shield.
Special: handseal: Holding the Ram hand Sign
Drawback: Cannot fly while using this jutsu. Explosive items and techniques will be blocked by the appropriate level of this technique, but the explosive force will cause this technique to be dispelled prematurely and knock the user back.
Description: Taking the knowledge of the steel feather jutsu a member of the Tsubasa clan can learn to turn their wing into a kind of shield. This uses chakra to temporarily harden all of the feathers in both of the user's wings into a steel-like material. This can be maintained only for six seconds at a time and is capable of blocking any projectiles, as well as ninjutsu and taijutsu of the same rank as the user knows in this technique. This can only be used three times a thread. The wings are still capable of basic movement while this technique is active, but the speed at which they can be moved about is reduced by half.
Limit: Must be of the Tsubasa Clan, must know the Steel Feather Jutsu
How does swimming works with the tsubasa wings? or how works flying with soaked wings? while on the subject how long would it take the wings to dry and how much would they weight soaked?
would the four extra arms be included when doing the shark ritual? otherwise a character would have 2 blueish arms and 4 with normal skin.
Could the tsubasa wing shield technique be combined with the taijutsu shield style?
The following text comes straight from the tsubasa clan description "their fingers and toes can be changed into those of a bird of prey" as the phrase is "can be changed" i am guessing it is up to player discresion? for instance if you are a taijutsu specialist/master having clawed fingers would be bad
Is it plausable to have all three rituals in a character?
